Marisel Herbal Bath & Body

This is one of those places that my wife likes because she likes home made soaps. When you walk by the shop all of those smells come out and want you to go in and investigate. So she picked up two bars of handmade soap Nag Champa: a herbal-infused soap formulated with olive, palm and coconut oil with Nag Champa fragrance. I think it smells pretty good. She also picked up a 8 Medicinal Plants Ointment for my Boo-Boo on my leg. (yes, I said Boo-Boo) small dry skin patch on my leg... Boo-Boo! It actually helped and cleared up a good portion of the area after only putting it on a couple of times. I also had a talk with the owner about shooting pictures and she was happy I was doing it. So the next time we are in San Juan again I guess we will have to stop by again.

Amazing little store in the old San Juan that sell locally made product. During my stay in Puerto Rico I ran out of soap and I was so happy to find this store! Every product smells very good and you'll want to buy a little bit of everything. If you're into aromatherapy, you won't be disappointed. Great place to buy gifts for your friends and family!! The owner is friendly and attentive.

Old San Juan is so beautiful and rich in character. And in the maze of tourist shops and t-shirts is a place so real and unique full of hand made and local love. I bought and already tried the honey soap, the earthy sweet fragrance is amazing and leaves your skin so soft.

My favorite store in old San Juan. They have all kinds of natural goodies. I got a bunch of soaps and ointments. They work great. The coffee soap might be my favorite so far.

I visited in December, and Marisel was kind and very informative. She even offered samples. I highly recommend that everyone visit her shop. I wish she sold online.

Awesome soaps, herbs and more!

Recently, my husband and I were on a cruise to San Juan and found Marisel Herbal's unique soaps, scrubs, oils, scents, and candles. We spent about 20 minutes walking around and smelling all the different soaps and products, and the staff member working that day was quick to recommend scents and patiently answer our questions. Prices were reasonable for a port city and touristy area, and we purchased a candle (~$10) as well as three bars or soap (3 for $10). You could choose traditional scents like vanilla and lavendar or offbeat finds like coffee or chocolate. The soaps are made by the shop's employees, including the one who helped us. If you visit San Juan, do yourself a favor and skip purchasing souvenirs like cheap t-shirts or shot glasses. Support a local business like this one and take home a unique and memorable gift for your loved ones or yourselves.

Loved finding this gem! There are great bath & body products for everyone to enjoy. I have tried to salt scrubs (coconut is my favorite), mint lip balm, and handmade soaps. There are also great oils and lotions for everyone. Great option from buying the "usual" tourist gifts and try buying local artisan-made products that everyone will love!

Relaxation at its finest! Mari was great! She provided a lot of information about the scrubs, soaps, teas and candles. She was very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this store for gifts to take home to loved ones. :)

This shop is amazing. Marisel Herbal is a women-owned cooperative selling deliciously scented natural handmade soaps, scrubs, oils and more. Everything is made locally and crafted with care. The prices are excellent and the quality is amazing. You can support local artisans and bring home great smelling souvenirs for everyone on your list. Don't forget something for yourself!

This place is beautiful! Bought the pain ointment and acne tincture and they work amazingly well! I will be placing an order to refill.

I walked in here with my girlfriends and we all had a great time. It had essential and healing oils, home made soaps, lotions, and raw materials to make your own natural products. I got roll on rose perfume and a roll on stress reliever. The woman was really nice and gave us some small soaps as a gift.

As another reviewer said, this place is an absolute gem!! Lovely handcrafted remedies. My only wish is that I was in San Juan longer, so I could take the yoga classes that are offered! The owner is highly knowledgeable and the staff is very friendly. Great prices and a lot of beautiful products. Definitely worth a look!!
