We had no issues renting with Maritza. I made a reservation a few months in advance. I got a call the day of pick up confirming my reservation. When we arrived in Vieques they shuttles arrived to take us to the office (blue shuttle for the Florida location). We quickly got our Jeep and were on our way. Same with drop off, it was fast and only waited a few minutes for the shuttle to come and take us to the ferry. We Recommend using Maritza when you're on the island.

I cannot warn you enough: stay away from this company. We booked a car a month out, but they swapped us into a Sorento that was a literal death trap. Every major safety light was on, Airbag, ABS, and Traction Control, and not a single seatbelt in the vehicle had tension. I have a 6-year-old son, and I refuse to jeopardize my family’s safety in a vehicle that can’t even provide basic restraint. When I brought these life-threatening issues to the front desk, the receptionist brushed us off, claiming the sensors were just 'dirty.' To top it off, the staff began mocking us in another language. They didn't realize another family present understood them and told us exactly what was being said. We demanded a full refund and left. They have zero regard for human life or professional courtesy.

Great service. Our flight was cancelled the morning of the trip and they adjusted our bill without a problem. The shuttle to the location was easy, they even called me to see what time we would make it (our last flight was delayed an hour and I forgot to notify them). Jeep was new, clean, gassed up, and we had no issues the entire time. Would recommend

Had the best car rental experience of my life and had a great time tooling around Vieques in a Jeep from Maritza's. Friendly, knowledgable staff with proactive communication, speedy shuttle, and an excellent vehicle. Perfect for visiting beaches. Don't mess around with a golf cart, get a real car and get it here.

We rented from Maritza's Jeep Rental in Vieques, and the entire experience was exceptional from start to finish. The process was seamless—from making our reservation to being picked up at the ferry terminal. The paperwork was quick and efficient, and they even provided coolers with ice for our water bottles, which was a thoughtful touch. Driving the jeep around the island was an amazing experience. Great experience renting a car for two days on Vieques. Our Kia Soul was clean with no issues, the people working were pleasant and helpful even on a busy Easter Sunday. They texted me to confirm our arrival time and were waiting for us at the ferry when we arrived and gave us a round trip back after our trip. No complaints!

A great experience for renting. Matthew is bilingual so no confusion or misunderstanding on any of the terms of the rental. Even when last moment, they tried to help me to get something, I really appreciate that. Not to mention that the fleet is new , my car was literally brand new, I saw many cars around being also new. Don't expect people to rent you in half price to give them 5 stars . Do it when they deserve it and for me this office deserves that.
