An absolutely wonderful stay. Cannot recommend this place enough! A beautiful, secluded spot with a stunning private balcony overlooking the valley. Room was pristine and professionally turned-over every day. Tons of amenities we didn't even realize we needed (snacks, sunscreen, snorkeling gear) were easily accessible and saved us more than once! But even beyond the place itself, what made this stay truly special were the amazing hosts. Jim in particular went above and beyond to take care of anything we needed and helped me plan a romantic surprise for my wife. If only I could give 6 stars!

We had an amazing stay at Marjorie's Kauai Inn during the last two nights of our honeymoon —  we wished we had more time there! The property is absolutely beautiful and so relaxing — the perfect place to unwind after a busy day of activities. Alexis and Mike were wonderful hosts who went above and beyond to make our stay special. The breakfasts they cooked for us were incredible! They're both so kind, thoughtful, and welcoming. We will definitely be back next time we visit Kauai!

What an incredible place to stay! My mother and I loved our stay at Marjorie’s Inn. Jim was a fantastic host and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We loved waking up to nature in our comfy beds with incredible views, the delicious breakfast, and getting to chat with the other guests. It’s like staying with a local friend who is happy to share their tips for a great stay, and has all the amenities, drinks, snacks and more so you don’t have to worry about out running out of you forgot something. My only warning is the driveway is a bit long but as long as you have a backup camera you’ll be fine 😊 I highly recommend this inn!

This was a Mother’s Day trip planned by my awesome daughter, Maddie. We were both very pleasantly pleased with the accommodations here. The pool was a big plus as well. Not only were the breakfasts delicious & plenty, but a spread of delicious eggs, fresh fruit, breads, etc…Jim was an excellent host & couldn’t have been more gracious to us. Thank you for everything & we will plan another trip & stay with you. If I have to rate you I have to say on a scale of 1 to 10 - it would be 10+++++.

Loveliest Airbnb in the world! We felt so happy to be there, felt the love from Veronica our hostess and just really adored staying here. Quiet, private, comfortable. I loved staying here for a nice experience living in the hills watching rainbows and enjoying the pool! If you are thinking about staying here please do! You will be SO HAPPY!!!

Marjorie's Kauai Inn is wonderful in so many ways. We stayed in the Valley View room that has a porch/lanai that overlooks an amazing rain forest valley. Every morning we sat out there and watched the birds and the sunrise. Often we were treated to a rainbow. The room was delightful. But the best of all were the people and the food they prepared. The breakfasts were gourmet quality, with only the freshest local ingredients. Jim the chef was excellent. And when we wasn't cooking, Alexis (the owner) was. Amazing food. Mike (the other owner) was also great. Friendly, helpful and working hard to keep things beautiful. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here.

What a wonderful stay! Jen and Jim absolutely "made" the trip fantastic! They were so friendly and helpful in ways you would not even expect. No request was too big for them. And the breakfasts!! Wow! Delicious, healthy and beautifully presented -- what a way to wake up. We stayed in the Sunset View room with the hot tub, and it was the best tub we have ever experienced -- also it was mounted perfectly so you didn't have to get off the floor to get out nor needed a ladder to get in. Thank you so very much for making our stay special!

We just returned from a week at Marjorie's Kauai Inn for our honeymoon and it couldn't have been more perfect. The hosts are wonderful, and gave us many insider tips for the island and some of the best breakfasts of our lives! We stayed in the Valley View room which has a stunning view and huge lanai, and was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The location was tucked away, yet very convenient to all parts of the island. Truly one of the best accommodations I've ever experienced, and I can't wait to come back someday! Mahalo to Alexis, Mike, Jen & Jim!!

Yelp
We recently had the pleasure of staying at Marjorie's Inn in Lawai, Kauai, for our nephew's wedding, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The location is absolutely beautiful, offering stunning views of the valley and breathtaking sunsets that we enjoyed right from our comfortable deck. The amenities at Marjorie's Inn are top-notch. The hosts were fantastic, welcoming us warmly and giving us a thorough lay of the land. They were always available to answer our myriad of questions, ensuring we had everything we needed. One of the highlights of our stay was the awesome organic breakfasts provided every morning--it was delicious and a perfect start to our days. The room itself was cozy and well-appointed, providing all the comforts we could ask for. Despite the steep driveway being a bit daunting, it was a minor challenge in the grand scheme of our wonderful stay. The inn is easy to find, a quick drive from the airport, and conveniently located close to everything we wanted to visit. Overall, our experience at Marjorie's Inn was outstanding, and we are already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a beautiful and relaxing stay in Kauai!

Yelp
Vibes: secluded, quiet, charming B&B The stay at Valley View: - The spacious lanai provides a breathtaking panoramic view of the Lawai Valley. Absolutely enjoyed reclining in the lounge chairs (one has a mosquito net) and snacking at the table with a cup of coffee in hand while soaking in the greenery and sounds of nature (mostly rooster crows) - Appreciated being able to use the washer/dryer as well as borrow snorkel equipment, beach chairs and towels - Loved that Alexis kept a well-stocked fridge and snack bar for guests easily accessible from our room. - Wished we had the chance to use the pool! - Appreciated the light housekeeping while we were gone each day The breakfast: - Served 7:30-9ish on the common lanai - Comprised a self-serve bar replete with fresh cut fruit, local granola, hot drip coffee, homemade bread and pastries as well as an entree created by Alexis Other notes: - Alexis is the most gracious and generous host. She made sure we had supplies to pack out snacks, provided maps for trails, offered showers even after check-out time so that we could make the most out of our trip all the way to the very end. - Thankful for Robbie, the activities coordinator, for providing tips on local snorkeling and arranging our ATV tour. - The property is just a short drive from Poipu Beach Impression: one of the greatest gems of Kauai, will never choose to stay anywhere else when we visit!

Yelp
Very nice B&B. Each room has a spacious lanai, and private bath. Stunning views of Lawai Valley. A short distance to beaches, hiking, shopping and restaurants. The rooms are nicely decorated with all the comforts you need. The innkeepers are fabulous and fantastic cooks. Don't miss Saturday brunch for guests and friends.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful experience staying here. The owner really took good care of us. It is our first trip out together as a couple and I am so grateful that we booked this place and our trip turned out well! Really amazing view and atmosphere, I enjoyed staying in almost as much as going out and enjoying Kauai. I will come back again, thank you Alexis, Mike and Jim!

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful experience staying here - the breakfast every morning was delicious and the view is just gorgeous! I really love B&Bs and it's getting harder and harder to find good ones, but I will definitely recommend Marjorie's to anyone going to Kauai. Perfect quiet escape and so fun to be there on Saturday when they host neighbors for breakfast :) Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Hands-down, the very best. Gorgeous views. Delicious breakfast. Friendly staff (Hi Jodie! Hi Alexis!) Lots of extras you don't realize you need (bug spray, coolers, boogie boards, snackies). Thank you for such a lovely time.

Yelp
I found this place based on a lot of great reviews. It surely did not disappoint. The place is a little hard to locate on Google Map and please rely on road signs rather than Google Map when you are trying to find it. I was greeted by a poster with my name and detailed instructions. Sarah was not here when we checked in but we met the housekeeper, Rachel, who was super nice. The check-in process was easy and the room was spacious, cool and nice, with an awesome valley view! I was very touched by every thought Marjorie's Kauai Inn offers. We are greeted with fresh water (both bottled and filtered), a tray with cheese strings, chocolates, freshly baked apple pie, and fresh fruits in the fridge, and juice (two green teas, and two juices). The view is simply amazing and I can never get tired looking at it. Another stunning fact about this place is the breakfast. Sarah put so many thoughts into the breakfast and for us, it has raspberry coffeecake (it was really really good), sweet pepper and tomato fritatta, yogurt, fresh fruits, hard-boiled eggs, granola, freshly baked bread with butter and jam, as well as mango nectar juice. Everything is freshly made and nice. We really enjoyed it with the amazing view. You also got to know other guests as you are sharing a big table. The only thing we are disappointed at is the hot water did not work and the door kept popping open even if we locked it. Will highly recommend this place as it is very affordable with great service compared to other options in the island.

Yelp
This place is a gem and I'm sad we only got three nights here (you must book earlier than we did!). There are only three rooms so you get to know the other people at breakfast. The breakfasts were divine! Everything was homemade--always a couple of baked sweets and bread. Then Sarah the innkeeper made an entree--day 1 we had brioche Brie and bacon stuffed French toast. Day 2 was eggs Benedict, and day 3 there was a homemade egg casserole. Sarah was amazing and gave great recos everyday. Each room has its own private lanai that has breathtaking views of the valley. There's also a lovely little pool that we took dips in daily. Marjorie's was heaven. We've been telling our friends and family to go. Hopefully we'll be back someday as well!

Yelp
After five days on Kalalau Trail, I ended up at a cheap motel in Kapa'a that smelled like stale cigarette smoke. I desperately wanted to find a nice hotel or B&B that wouldn't break the bank for my last night in Kauai - and after torturing my friend back home by making him search for listings online, I consulted "Maui Revealed" and found Marjorie's Kauai Inn. The description seemed really perfect - a 3 room B&B with a pool, view of Lawai Valley (horses, goats, cows), and hot tub. When I called, Mike told me that they did have a room available so I headed over to view it. Though the exterior was a bit unassuming, as soon as I walked in the door - I instantly fell in love with the place. My room had a private deck and a small kitchenette area which I didn't use - opting instead to pick up groceries and grilled up a pineapple on the big gas grill by the pool (which Mike enjoyed!). The pool and the hot tub were super awesome! I love saline pools and really had fun because the other guests were all off doing activities that could not have been nearly as fun as sitting in the hot tub, watching the sunset over the Lawai Valley change the colors of the clouds over the mountains. Mike lays out an awesome continental breakfast and whipped up some fresh carrot-ginger juice that just knocked my socks off. He was so sweet to hang out and chat with me, I really truly did enjoy my stay there and look forward to going back. I highly recommend Marjorie's Kauai Inn - do yourself a favor and go stay there! It would be a perfect antidote to a long flight when you arrive and a great treat at the end of your trip (as I did).

Yelp
HOW does this place only have 2 Yelp reviews??? We stayed at the Marriott after this and it couldn't even come close in comparison. Mike was an awesome host. We could borrow anything.. boogie boarding gear, chairs, snorkeling equipment. He has a garage full of stuff! The breakfasts were different every day and were served overlooking the vast lush green scenery that you see in the pictures. The room had a private balcony and fridge and sink. It was absolutely perfect. We didn't even want to leave our room the first day. There were 1 or 2 other guests here but we didn't hear a thing, everyone was quiet and respectful. If you want a relaxing getaway without screaming kids and tourists everywhere, THIS is where you need to be! **Bonus: This place is right next to the best cafe: Kalaheo Cafe. Their sandwiches are out of this world!

Yelp
My wife and I decided to stay at Marjorie's based on the phenomenal reviews and were not disappointed. Alexis & Mike were wonderful hosts, the breakfasts were amazing, & we had the best nights sleep of any vacation we have been on which included 8 times to the Hawaiian islands. Stay at Marjorie's and you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
This was the perfect B&B for my husband and I. It's charming and gorgeous (in the hills over looking the Lawai Valley) and run by a fantastic couple - Alexis and Mike along with Sarah who acts as a concierge and will help you plan out your entire trip on Kauai. Every morning you get a scrumptious breakfast and the rooms are full of charm, each one getting it's own patio area that overlooks the stunning valley. I believe this is one of the only B&B's in Kauai -- we just loved it and couldn't recommend it enough. We stayed 8 nights -- and had just a lovely time (we just got back, were there mid December).

Yelp
Wow. Best start to our honeymoon we could have ever imagined. The breakfasts were PHENOMENAL, absolutely exceeded expectations. Everyday had a variety of options and a gourmet main course entree plated to perfection. This was our first bed and breakfast experience, and we would definitely do it again after this trip. Everything was perfect. The view was fabulous, and it felt like being at home. Alexis and Mike were the best hosts we could ever ask for. So glad we stayed here. Our only regret is not staying longer!!

Yelp
Where do we start? The spacious, comfortable rooms with a private balcony? The delicious and varied breakfast? The helpful advice for having an amazing time in Kauai? The breathtaking view of the Lawai valley, falling asleep with the door open to the sounds of Kauai. My husband and I had an amazing time in this beautifully kept B&B. We were so sad to go and have already made plans to return. You will not go wrong coming here!

Yelp
Wow. What a fantastic place to stay. Three nicely appointed rooms with kitchens and breath taking views over a valley. Sure there is lots of development around that area but it doesn't take away from the grandeur of the view. That alone would be enough but throw in a pool, a jacuzzi, a grill, free wi fi, and a separate little elevated picinic hut type thing and I'm sold. Would definitely stay again. Our hosts were guests themselves, I guess they are friends of the owners. We were well cared for and felt very welcomed!

Yelp
We have stayed at at least 25 bed and breakfasts and this is our new favorite! The view is spectacular! Every morning Alexis puts much care into preparing a delicious breakfast for all the guests. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Another big plus is the owners supply all the things that you will need for a wonderful day at the beach: chairs, umbrellas, coolers, etc. We loved our private porch to sit out and watch birds or the stars at night. We also liked the refreshing salt water pool and hot tub. Mike and Alexis treated us like family! Our only regret is that their b and b is 2,000 miles away so we can't get there easily

Kaitlyn D.

Yelp
By far our best decision in coming to Kauai. This was the perfect location for getting around to everything on the south and west sides of the island and the most comfortable, beautiful setting imaginable. Not too far from everything on the north and east either but traffic is worse up there. We stayed on the northeast for the second half, and man did we just want to come back to Marjorie's. We felt at home here and at the same time wondrously spoiled by Mike and Alexis with delicious food, delightful conversation, and a gorgeous view. This is one bed and breakfast that does everything right! Our favorite things nearby: Maha'ulepu hike, Da Crack (get the BBQ pork burrito bowl), and Salt Pond Beach Park.

Yelp
My Wife and I stayed here for the tail end of our Hawaiian Honeymoon. It was so relaxing. Ina was by far the most warm and accommodating host you could imagine. She was helpful with suggesting tours and attractions as well as making us feel at home with breakfast and welcoming goodies. She even welcomed us immediately with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. We really felt at home and cozy here...location was great and the view was relaxing. Not a single complaint. Thank you Ina!

Yelp
We stayed 3 nights in the Sunset view room and everything was perfect! Alexis and Mike's place is just stunning and they are very welcoming. They gave us many advices such as snorkeling spots, great restaurants and things we couldn't miss in Kauai. They manage to book Luau show for us, which we really enjoyed by the way. Mike also booked a last minute helicopter tour for us and we even had front seats: it was just amazing! And the breakfasts were delightful: freshly squeezed fruit juices every morning, eggs, pancakes, local organic granola, yoghurts, cakes, fruits... you got it: a very complete breakfast that you have on the lanai with a breathtaking view on the valley. Our room was also perfect: the bed was very comfy, and we had a private hot tub on our lanai from where we could enjoy the sunset and the valley view. Mahalo Alexis and Mike, we really enjoyed our stay and if we come back in Kauai one day (we hope so), we'll definitely stay at your place again!
