"Right next to Liberty Bridge, Central Market Hall has been serving hungry Hungarians since 1897 – at the time, produce was arriving through a canal connecting the Danube and the building. Instead of canals, it is structured around three main aisles today – when viewing from the main entrance, delicacies, rare veggies and tourist traps are on the right side, while the other two aisles are full of regular food market goods (for regular prices).

All you need as tourist, but at some points sellers are clueless about wine they sold, no recommendations or reviews! Upper level - definitely expected more than experienced! Prices for that souvenirs and clothing too high for the market! Wine - at the airport you can get even cheaper!

I visited it three times as a tourist but this year it felt like it got smaller , lesser variety . Not sure that the accessory part is an addition if there were seating as in a food court classic style would have been nice. Having Aldi there is an advantage but generally I expected more .
I have to say I've always loved the building the architecture It's amazing heritage well done Budapest.

Dissapointing, there were the same products on repeat in different shops. Not too much diversity, tourist prices. For the fresh food, it wasn't too impressive. I love hungarian products but the market place felt soul less and like a tourist trap.

Very interesting place to visit. I recommend going there quite early to avoid the crowds and heat.
You can find food downstairs and all the souvenirs you may need upstairs.
On the first floor you can also have something to eat.

Head upstairs, but compare prices before buying, we got a great bargain, that was more than double the price we paid.
