Wonderful accommodation! Smaller room (this IS Europe after all), but they've made the most of every inch. High end blow dryer AND flat iron in the room, with multiple spaces to get ready/use a mirror. Comfortable bed and linens, clean and quiet, and fantastic location just a block or two off the Royal Mile. Bountiful breakfast was provided in a lovely space, many options from menu and buffet of pastries/cheese/meats/etc., and service both at breakfast and front desk was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They recommended a pub (Dorsic) for dinner just down the street, and it was our favorite of the entire trip. Great stay, and would be a repeat for us if we return.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Market Street Hotel and had a fantastic experience! The staff was kind and helpful throughout our stay. We, of course, enjoyed our champagne at check-in. Staff helped us with travel tips and hiring cars. They took the time to get to know us and greeted us each time we crossed paths. The rooms were spotlessly clean. The decor was lovely and perfect for the style of the hotel. We use the upstairs Nor Loft bar for both evening cocktails and breakfast. The views of Edinburgh cannot be beat! The food and drinks were delicious. We would absolutely stay here again if we had the chance!

Excellent location. Enormous room. Clean and comfortable. Champagne all the time to appreciate the beautiful view in the restaurant. Point of attention: staffs that seems to be cold and rude, when you do not made an appointment for breakfast or need some extra help. Few ones as Mr. Eduard were exception. He in exception is careful and give genuine attention for guests’ needs. He made our mornings pleased.

Excellent hotel with lovely and extremely helpful staff. We were surprised to learn that the well-stocked mini-bar in our room was all free of charge so we were well hydrated. Also, the bathroom was separated from the room so that I could shower and wash up while my husband was asleep without disturbing him. The room was quiet, bed and pillows were quite comfortable and we had full control of room temp down to a half of a degree. Location was literally across the street from the train station and in the heart of the Old Town so we walked everywhere. We ate breakfast there one day (£21 each). It was decent and included a glass of champagne but there are a myriad of places to choose from around the area as well. It’s also quite close to several pubs and museums. We were most happy there with one exception: lighting at sink was way too high making it impossible to use for makeup. There’s a lighted magnifying mirror but it is awkwardly placed and still lighting is poor. Anyone under about 5’7” will find this nearly impossible to use. There is another mirror in the shower area but still not good for closeup makeup application.

This hotel was exceptional! We booked it mainly for its central location but was pleasantly surprised at how top notch it was!! 5 star quality!! We read reviews, but no one explained how great the place is….super clean large room, comfy beds, slippers, free minibar, champagne at check-in, great shower, etc. Looks ordinary from the street, but it’s far from ordinary. We have been traveling around the UK for two weeks and it was our nicest hotel by far!! 👍👍

Beautiful hotel very close to the Royal Mile but not in it - which is great! Fantastic rooms, comfortable beds, beautiful top floor lounge and great service! Super close to the Edinburgh train station too - amazing to just walk over to our hotel! Highly recommend!

Beautiful modern well appointed hotel within walking distance of the Royal Mile and all attractions. The room was well sized with all the amenities.|Staff were very helpful and breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice, also had great views being at the top of the hotel.

This hotel is right by the Edinburgh Waverley train station, which I thought might be a seedy neighborhood (as train stations often are). It's not! Excellent location, just off the Royal Mile. Everything else was just a bonus: understated classy decor; comfy bed; I appreciate not paying for a gym and other hotel perks I never use. Good stock in the minibar.
