The Markham fair was such a fun experience! There was ample parking despite it being a Friday night, as the staff were very good at organizing and crowd controlling all the incoming cars. There were so many cool local vendors selling all sorts of food. The various shows throughout the night were entertaining and fun. And all the various fair competition was really fun to walk around and enjoy.

I love the Markham Fair, it's always the weekend before Thanksgiving. There is something for everyone! Rides, food, entertainment, learning demonstrations and all sorts of crafts. Free parking, and nightly fireworks at dusk, excepting where programming is going on at the race track, then it gets pushed back by 20-30 minutes. The midway is great fun for the kids. A fun family oriented outing.

Great place. We attended an outdoor art exhibit here and bought some limited print illustrated art prints. A great venue with a great lemonade stand as well.

Fairgrounds are very big during the Markham fall fair. There was a lot to see a lot of of little pop-up shops. The demolition derby was a lot of fun. Very busy.

Well organized good family outing, lots of cool events to watch and learn about the local farming lifestyle in the Ontario countryside.

Google
Markham fair is always a thrill. Midway has gotten a little lack luster...no music playing, no haunted house, rides are.very basic old school. The food concessions on the other hand have gotten fantastic! A lot to choose from...some unique offerings too! Plenty of shows to see, Beer tent is not what it once was...local entertainment, limited selection. Still, love the fair! When the weather co-operates...I try and go at least once every year...wish it was.open a bit later as the fair at night is my favorite:)

We won free tickets to the Markham Fair. They opened on time, had people set up at either rend of the parking access, directing for parking, very clear labels and people assting for accessing the area. Upon entering the ticket personnel where very friendly and encouraged us to have a good time, they provided us with a list of events and times as well as a map of the area. Section for rides and carnival ames set up as well at one end near the entrance and the other vendors, fire trucks, horse show/riding, animal show for the rest. Various vendors from self employed to larger prominent businesses like insurance and construction companies. They had a sheep shearing love event, BMX stunt event, monster truck - we missed due to it being in the evening, and other shows. Only thing I didn't like was the animals couped up in the buildings, cages etc for display and it was so hot, it didn't seem like the cows had any water or food. The horse carrousel was also sad as it was hot and they kept going around so many time and no water in sight. Vendors sold, clothes, books, jewellery, mugs, food, henna tattoos, sports memorabilia, anime items, crochet items, skate board/guitar straps, organic food like honey and nut products. Some were in the own canopy's, others were in a shared building with a table set up. We enjoyed it and the weather was great for a day outside.

Yelp
The CNE of the north is back and it's.. okay. I used to come here when I was a kid and remember the fresh smell of diesel as a monster truck drives over crushed vehicles. Nice event for everyone. Beer and wine tents for the adults and petting farm for the kids. Not sure I'd come back as the ticket prices have sky rocketed but maybe ill bring my nieces and nephews.

Yelp
The worst event put together. Do not pay for VIP. Nobody was monitoring who was VIP Or general so everyone sat in the same area And everyone had access to everything else as well. You think you get a souvenir when is just your VIP tag. The actual suvenir was monster truck toy that cost$25 dollars plus taxes. To top it all off you had to pay for parking. Not worth it.

Yelp
In my opinion, the future students should go to Markham Fair here are the reasons why I think they should go. First of all, you can learn lots of different things about animal and they have different kind of animals you can see and the workers will introduce about they eat. Secondly, in the Markham Fair they have many performances and shows to watch some of them are funny and some of them are music and also the animals are performing it is very interesting. Last but not least, there are some negative things is that the food and things is too expensive and some of the places are not open and also not many places to rest. These are the reasons why I think the future students should go to Markham Fair you can learn new things but I think they can changed a seasons to visit because it was too hot in the summer.

Yelp
September 7th, 2018 - the company I work with gives out Estée Lauder tickets every year. This year I decide I wanted to go and see what it's all about. When I got there it was packed with people. A lot of the customers were polite asking where did you get that product from and helping you find a product you saw. Some customers even loaned you their pen when they saw you wanted to write down the product #. It was pretty surprising because it was so packed with ppl trying to get the product before it ran out. This was a huge Estée Lauder sales event. The had 3 huge rooms packed with makeup, creams, perfumes, bags and a lot of other things. I spent close to $100.00 that day. But a lot of ppl sent much much much more. They walked out with huge bags. If I was a makeup person I would have most likely done the same damn thing. Side note: I washrooms there are very interesting

Yelp
3.5 stars. I'm reviewing the Designer Shoe Warehouse Sale that happened over Victoria's Day long weekend. If you get on their mailing list, they will send you notification emails for next sales event, along with a $10 VIP Coupon. (Although limited to one per person, you can mass print it to use... just that you have to line up again for every pair of shoes you buy lol.) If you pay in cash, you will get 10% off. Bring your stash of cash. I am no designer shoes fan but this new job I took on for less than 2 months already worn out 2 pairs of my regular heels. I'm hoping these designer ones would last me a life time lol. If you are a size 6, you will be in shoe heaven. There are rows beyond rows of size 6s. The smallest size would be a 5.5... mostly Asian ladies will hover that dinky section (like myself lol). Different size varies from different designer brand. You could be a 6 in one and you could be a 6.5 in another. I was able to pick up a few pairs that I really liked, mainly black or blue ones! From my haul, the Vince Camuto ranged from $75-$90 and the gorgeous blue Cole Haan was $130. Be sure to go early. My girlfriend and I went right when it opened. Less people, less crowded. As more people come in, it can get a bit stuffy (No idea why they would blast the heat... I guess it would be a good way to drive us out faster lol). I would come back again next year... see if I can get more colours!

Yelp
After more than 20 years living in Markham this is my very first time at the Markham Fair. $15 a person with a $2 coupon online from their website. So $13 a person with free parking. The food available here is really disappointing. There were a few joints which sold burgers and fries. There were also a total of 2 ribbers (Gator BBQ and Horn Dawgs). There were a few other places not even worth mentioning so overall I can say Markham Fair is not a place for foodies like me. The only thing I purchased here that was food related were the half dozen butter tarts for $5 and the fresh honey comb which was $12.50. I've always wanted to try fresh honey comb but after trying it I wish I had not spent the money because I really can't say it tasted any better than grocery store honey. The only positive thing I could say about the Markham Fair is the farm animal section. You can pet horses, sheep, pigs and even lamas. So if you like animals like I do then this is the perfect place to get your hands dirty and pet your favourite farm animals.

Yelp
There are lot of events happening throughout the year at Markham fairground. From agricultural festival, gun show, family circus to warehouse sales. We got general admission to see the last show of Royal Canadian family circus. There are no assigned seating. All tickets are first come first serve even for VIP. People started lining up an hour before show time. Make sure you bring a small electrical fan because it is pretty hot inside the big top. The show is almost 2 hours plus 30 mins intermission. Three of my favourites performance were Bilea Transformation Act from Romania, the famed Guerrero 4 Man High Wire (America's Got Talent) from Portugal and the death defying Wheel of Destiny with Joseph Dominik Bauer. (There are NO exotic animals in this spectac show)

Yelp
I went to this venue for Jamabana last week. Not too much to report, but it's fairly well laid out, large and organized which made for a good festival. The large open space in the centre of the venue was well-suited for having a concert, and couple accommodate 3-4 thousand people. Lots of room for vendors all around and it the washroom facilities were ok and not too smelly as others can be. Lots of parking too and with proper laneways which helped avoid chaos when people were leaving.

Yelp
Other than outlet sales, I'm not sure what else goes on here since I'm not from Markham. I came here, for the first time, for a MAC/Estée Lauder warehouse sale. Bonus: Plenty of free surface parking on the dirt surface. No matter whether there are spots or not, someone will enviably wait for you to pull out! Structures where the sale was held are outdated. They look like giant portables and there wasn't AC during an unusually humid Sunday afternoon. Whether or not shoppers were wearing weather proof makeup, I still saw quite a bit of shiny faces! I felt bad for the people working the sale 'cause it must've been even more hot for them. Makeup samples that were laid out on fold out tables were literally melted like an a popsicle on pavement...gross. If comparing to the International Centre, which isn't new either, I'd much prefer that venue over MFG, especially in inclement weather. At least International Centre has adequate lighting and AC! Last I checked we're living in a first world country, right??

Yelp
Massive event space! I have attended a few events/festivals at Markham Fair Ground. The place is huge in terms of acreage. The open ground is well kept. It is perfect for any outdoor events such as farm fairs, country shows and monster trucks. The facilities are functional and down to earth. They are not fancy looking on the outside, and I have never attended any indoor banquet to see the interior of the halls. I suppose its main offering is the outdoor open ground. Adequate parking on site.

Yelp
Okay, I don't know what else goes on at the Markham Fairgrounds but I've come here twice for designer shoe sales now. Parking is pretty easy here, there's a giant lot. There's a big warehouse-type building that is pretty good at holding a big shoe sale. There may be other buildings on these fairgrounds, I don't know. Most notable are the fact that they have composting toilets and a sign that says what they are, the fact that they don't flush and that the waste is processed in a facility underground, which I imagine to be like the Hive in Resident Evil, but way worse. Somehow, the bathrooms are the cleanest smelling bathrooms I've ever been in. They don't smell like waste, and they don't smell like air freshener. They don't smell at all. It's pretty incredible. Maybe some day I'll be lured back here by the promises of rib fests or hoe downs or whatever else goes on here.

Yelp
Been here for a few events. the fair and a home show. The fair was nice but the home show was lacking in almost every department. Felt more like a kids science fair where they asked for money to build their science project for you than anything else. When the fair is on, it is a lot better. It is no EX but it is still a lot of fun and feels a lot more friendly.

Yelp
Markham fairgrounds have overbooked events again, causing events to be either relocated or cancelled. Poor management.

Yelp
I wish they would build a municipal animal shelter here on the Markham Fair Grounds. This is the perfect location, the space is so wasted and it belongs to tax payers! The mayor should cancel his contract with the OSPCA and finally build a municipal shelter in Markham!! This would also be a great location for a York Region wildlife sanctuary like the one in Downsview. The zoning is already set for animals.

Yelp
...been here for many designer and warehouse sales. has lots of parking and stalled bathrooms instead of port-a-potties, thank god.
