Was hoping to write a review as our visit to Markham Wineries was top notch. We were driving through the area on a local tour of the region. Despite being a Wednesday morning, no winery in the area offered walk ins. We happened upon Markham and thought the name was familiar. Our experience was just perfect. Scotty told us his history of growing up in the region and how he indirectly fell in love with the intricacies of the local wines. He was so patient and intrigued with any question we threw at him. It was authentic and what I had hoped for but didn’t think would happen. Did I mention that the Merlot mix and the aged Merlot were both amazing. I feel so much well versed in the wine industry and can’t wait to come back. Thank you Scotty, Miles, and the welcome crew( didn’t get his name) for an amazing experience. I will be sure to spread the word. Holly and Peter Hunt of Boston

My wife and I had an amazing experience here with Scotty. He was beyond hospitable, teaching us not only about wine but also about the entire valley going back decades. The wine itself was quite enjoyable and we ended up buying a few to bring home (just to get us started as we will be purchasing more in the future). The property itself is not immense like many of the wineries we experienced in the region, but the gardens with tables are quaint with perfect shade and the inside of the tasting room is truly stunning. We have already recommended this experience to numerous friends and family, and would return in the future.

Google
Scott was super nice and so welcoming. This was our first wine tasting experience and he made it a positive one at that. He is so well informed and always encouraged questions. I used the code WINEWITHPAIGE to get a discount on the wine tasting and we basically had the whole place to ourselves. It was absolutely a dream. Thank You Markham Vineyards. We will be recommending you to everyone we meet!

Google
I went here using my little book big experience booklet. This winery is a very pretty as well as modern layout with very friendly staff. They welcomed us with a glass of rose when we got there as well as provided some cheeses to pair with our wines! I would consider going back here and creating a membership. Jeff was our host and was amazing if you go ask for him! Something to keep in mind that could be a deterrent for some people is their is a unisex bathroom which I find can be helpful for people to know in advance! :)

Google
Beautiful building and interiors. We felt welcomed in the beginning, specially with the sauvignon blanc poured for us even before we were seated. We were excited to learn about the winery's history, the vineyards, and their wine-making process, but didn't get any of that. Awesome to know from the brochure that women are a huge part of leadership at the winery. I understand that we were a few minutes (8 minutes?) late and that might have not given Scotty enough time to host us. I saw a group of women that looked like a private bachelorette event that he was hosting on our way out, which I understand took priority. I just wish we had more time to learn about their wines and wine-making in general, since it was my guests' first trip to Napa. They did enjoy themselves still, which is the reason for the 3 stars, but this experience, compared to the other Napa wineries I've been to in the past couple of years, is my least favorite.

Google
Had a wonderful tasting experience! We were first greeted by Isaias with some refreshing rose. Then he seated us outside in the courtyard. Jason our host was very informative about all of the wines and history of the property and each vineyard. I hadn’t visited since the remodel and it is stunning! Highly recommend visiting. I cannot wait to go back to experience a different tasting experience! Bought some magnums today enjoy over the holidays!

Google
Very nicely designed winery tasting room. We had a great sommelier Scotty that explained ask the winter and the history of the place and the valley. Very pleasant experience here.

Yelp
I found this place scouring the information that is available on the web about Napa Valley. To be honest, we enjoyed every winery we visited - I kind of wish I did it more randomly, but that's in the rear view mirror. As you walk in to the winery, you have decorations on both sides as you approach the large stone building. Once you arrive near the front of the stone building, you go to your left to get into the tasting area. The tasting area is large - the room is huge, and it has comfortable seats. We signed up for the Marked Parcel Tasting, which included their 2021 Oak Knoll Sauvignon Blanc, their 2021 Blue Boots Red Blend, the 2018 Hopper House Vineyard Cabernet Franc, a 2019 Little Cannon Merlot, and their 2021 45th Anniversary Merlot. Our wine guide provided information on the winery and each wine. The chairs and table were very comfortable. The interior is quite modern - you can see the photos that I included in the review - it was large room, but stayed quiet in spite of having a few groups doing tastings. The wines were great, and we enjoyed the tasting!

Yelp
Wonderful spot to visit. We were surprised by the superb service and friendliness. The atmosphere was perfect and the wines were very good.

Yelp
On our first day in Napa, we decided to just stop in Markham to see if they had any openings for tastings. They didn't, which was understandable since it was a beautiful Saturday, however the host, Scotty, offered us a complimentary tasting of a few wines outside. We thought this was so nice and enjoyed his company so much, we decided to book a tasting later in the week. On Thursday afternoon, the four of us returned for a great experience. Scotty gave us his "retro" tasting. This was unique in that rather than ending the tasting with all the reds, we had whites in between to clean tannins from our taste. During the tasting, Scotty gave us a great history of Napa, including letting us know that Markham was one of the original four. He also provided great insight into the winemaking process which was so interesting. We loved this winery and the wines, but Scotty made this a special place! We were so happy to meet him and spend time here.

Yelp
Made a reservation online for a tasting about a month in advance. For $50 a piece it was among more expensive tastings during our day in Napa, but we found a 50% off code and that absolutely made it worth it for us. The tasting room is giant and modernly elegant. I was pleasantly surprised with the wines we tasted! There was an excellent variety, even though most were red, and I really loved that the tasting notes were included on the list. The woman guiding our tasting was good! I didn't catch her name, but she was kind and would tell anecdotes that accompanied the wines. A bug flew into one of my glasses and she happily exchanged it for me. I don't think I would come back for another tasting at full price, but I absolutely enjoyed the experience today for what it was.

Yelp
I was staying in Napa for about 2 months and went to Markham roughly 10 times & brought different friends along each time. Why? Because Sophia is the best! We had so much fun wine tasting with her, doing blind tastings, and learning about the wine. Both the interior & exterior are beautiful and the vibe isn't pretentious. Would highly recommend!

Yelp
I was very impressed by the counter tasting at Markham. Being an avid Napa traveler, I had never been to Markham but they have a beautiful, modern tasting room and a lovely stone entrance. The hosts were very nice and told us all about the founders, wines, and tailored the tastings to each person. As part of the St. Helena Little Book of Big Experiences, I have really enjoyed trying tastings that I normally wouldn't be going to. Would recommend stopping by as the counter tasting at 25 dollars is quite a steal. Really enjoyed the Sav blanc and several of their red offerings.

Yelp
Came during renovations so we sat outside on a warm summer day. Wine was ok, but engaging conversations made the time fly by and the experience wonderful. Thank you!

Yelp
We had a nice experience at Markham. Jason was our host and we really enjoyed talking with him. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy the wines but that isn't anything against the wine. The property is modern, the outdoor tasting area is nice but not anything scenic or "pretty". It was a nice experience. Tasting fee was $50.

Yelp
Couldn't be better. Meeting Scott here is the best experience we had in the Napa valley. He's very knowledgeable and welcoming and told us a lot of stories about the wines and the history of Napa valley, and his hospitality makes us feel just like home. Their wine also tastes amazing and you won't regret it for sure. If you're visiting Napa for the first time, visit here without any doubt and you won't regret it.

Yelp
This place never disappoints. Great wine at an excellent price point. We always enjoy our tastings here. Cidi, Scott and Nick are great hosts, have fabulous recommendations, we've been members since 2016 and this is always a Napa must!

Yelp
Scotty is an absolute delight! He has so much knowledge, is entirely engaging, and kind. We enjoyed our tasting with him and the wine is phenomenal! The 2020 Chardonnay & 2018 Merlot, Little Canyon Vnyd. are must haves

Yelp
We had the most amazing experience wine tasting this weekend at Markham Vineyards. We were greeted by wine educator Scott Flotre. Scotty made our wine tasting experience a 100/10!! He not only explained the history behind the winery but also gave us a tour of the grounds and he discussed the intricacies of the wines. We had a delicious cheese board and amazing wine to go with it!

Kristine M.

Yelp
I have nothing but amazing things to say about our expiernce af the Markham Vineyards. The views, the vibe and the service were nothing short of amazing. If you go here ask for Scottie and you won't be disappointed- you receive knowledge about wine; the vineyard , the owners, and you receive a comedic act (from Scottie himself) 100% reccomended

Yelp
Wasn't much of a wine person ever, but Markham has me intrigued thanks to delicious beverages and Kip. We started our rainy Saturday in Napa here, only meaning to be here for a flight but ended up way past that thanks to Kip! I don't know what Kip's title is, so I've been calling him "Our Friend Kip". He made our visit so enjoyable! They were a little dead, so Our Friend Kip let our group of 8 sit at the normally members-only tables. Their flights tend to be more red than whites, so I figured I would just be handing them off after taking sips. Was I ever wrong! Our Friend Kip was quite generous in his pours - instead of sharing 2 flights among 2 persons (so we could try everything), we all got about 1.5 flights to ourselves. AND he gave us a tour of their facility- nothing too fancy but nonetheless neat to go behind the scenes where most public eyes do not. I enjoyed getting to know him and talk with him about his passion for the spirits industry - because I found out winemakers are typically fans of drinking anything but. Go for the 2013 Altruist Cab Sav and the dessert wine- they have made me fans despite my affinity for beer.

Yelp
A Serious Vinter!! Our last stop on the Napa Valley Trolley tour was 'Markham Vineyards'. This stop was perfect for me as I'm from Markham Ontario in Canada. What a treat, eh? From the moment you drive in and take in the meticulously laid out landscaping and the classic architecture of the stone buildings, you know this place is serious. Markham Vineyards is one of the oldest Napa Valley Wineries which encompasses four separate vineyards with over 350 acres of grapes. This Winemaker means business!! We arrived at the large courtyard made from stone and entered one of the tasting areas. Our hosts that afternoon were very pleasant and knowledgeable about wines and the history of Markham Vineyards. We were very fortunate to try a selection of very well made reds and whites. Note to tasters!! I stood at the front of my tour group and as our hosts spoke about the various wines we were tasting, they kept handing me glasses of wine which I was more than happy to accept. The room in which we had the tasting is massive. There literally thousands of barrels of wine stacked, which truly captures the magnitude of the wine this winery produces. It really is a spectacle to behold. Our hosts lead us through the rest of the tour answering questions and pointing out some of the vintages and some of the newer wines. We finished our tour with a trip to the wine/gift shop where I was very fortunate to get my hands on one of the rarer wines that were about to be discontinued for sale. Luckily since it couldn't be found on the newer price sheets they guesstimated the price, so I got a really nice bottle of wine for an excellent price, and I got a couple more bottles of red to take back home with me. This is an amazing winery and I highly recommend it as part of your next visit to Napa.

Yelp
This was one of the first places my boyfriend and I went to in Napa and we loved it so much we ended up joining their wine club. The space is beautiful and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable! Jason answered all of our questions and gave us a ton of detail about the wines we tasted. I'm very excited to visit this vineyard again!

Yelp
The service was amazing. Sophia and the other staff member were extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome. Hi he wine is delicious and I enjoyed the experience even though I visited 30 minutes before closing. Did not feel rushed in any way and definitely a place who proved a warm welcome.

Yelp
Top tier wine in Napa. This winery has EVERYTHING you're looking for when it comes to classic Napa wines. Their new tasting room is absolutely beautiful as well. 10/10

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday to celebrate my friend's birthday. We loved the wine and the ambience in the venue. I found this place on Instagram so very happy with our pic.
google avatar

Yelp
I'm only giving one star because zero was not an option. This was a special day for us celebrating my granddaughters 21st Birthday. A friend of my daughter who works there made the reservation for us months in advance. Unfortunately she was a new employee and a mistake was made when making the reservation unknowingly. When we arrived they did not see our reservation but seated us as every single table and seat at the bar was empty. Between each tasting we waited up to 30 min and after 1.5 hours our tasting was still not done and we sat with empty glasses looking for our sommelier. It was clear they were extremely annoyed by us and we were treated extremely different from the other two tables that arrived after us. These other tables had their hosts sit down with them while ours ignored us between tastings and never once took the time to sit down with us and only provided a brief explanation. We politely stated we had to leave without finishing our tasting due to another reservation at a different winery. We were then approached by the assistant manager of hospitality, Jacey Ohlinger, who proceeded to question us on why we were there and was extremely unprofessional. This was by far the worst experience we had in Napa. Fortunately Rombauer completely changed our day around and showed us amazing customer service. I would highly recommend Caymus and Rombauer instead of this unprofessional place. Go anywhere but here.

Mark R.

Yelp
Bottom line - the experience at Markham was poor. Very much a sense that they are just a big company and don't really care about you or customer service. We went to Markham Vineyards this weekend in large part because we had a certificate for a wine tasting for two that we received last year as part of a welcome package for a new home/job. Because of COVID we weren't able to visit any earlier. Upon arrival we showed them the certificate and they told us they wouldn't honor it because 'management changed.' The manager on duty repeated that reason and said that they had no way to deal with the certificate 'in their system' and it would 'mess up all the books' if he tried to enter it. He made no attempt to accommodate us, offer a discount as an alternative, or show any sense of customer service. We left and went on to a different winery where we proceeded to make a significant purchase and have a great time.

Yelp
Phenomenal time at Markham today! Wonderful wines; beautiful tasting room and grounds. Pro tip: Come on a slow day and ask for Scottie - you will receive an education, history lesson, and wine stories of interest, mixed with great service!

Karen G.

Yelp
This is the best Napa area tasting ever. Scotty gave us great information about the winery, the grapes, the wines, the winemakers, while allowing us to taste some of the best wines around. This should be top of your list if you are visiting the area!
google avatar

Lisa N.

Yelp
Sunday afternoon. Nobody in the place. Zero ability to buy a bottle and enjoy it. They promptly told us there was no availability. Kind of snooty and won't recommend them. Sad because their wine is very good.
google avatar

Lindsay Y.

Yelp
Markham vineyards was not only beautiful, but the staff welcomed us in with such kindness! Nigel introduced himself at the door and offered us a vino tasting. Of course we said yes! He went on to elaborate in full detail about each wine from the different notes to the aftertaste and everything in between. He was super friendly and easy to talk to. In the past, I have had not so great experiences at other wineries where the staff were snooty and ignored guests, but Nigel made us feel right at home. He was so outstanding that we ended up signing up for a monthly wine subscription haha. Markham will always be close to my heart and I cannot wait to visit again.

Kim F.

Yelp
Scott H. Was incredible! He shared amazing stories with us and we felt he gave us above and beyond service. Ask for him if you do a tasting here. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
"Pardon me while I kiss the sky"- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjwWjx7Cw8I When I first moved to Napa, Markham Vineyards touted its gallery of rock n' roll photography from Baron Wollman&Rolling Stone magazine. There were artful photos of Jimi Hendrix, the Rolling Stones, the Grateful Dead, you name it. Most of the photos were in black&white, but the wines themselves are colorful. It was amazing to see historic rock and roll photos paired with delicious wines. Very leisurely. Markham still serves as a pairing of art gallery/winery, but the art is more "inspired by" than actual photos. There used to be a wine with a famous photo of Jerry Garcia on its label. They have a $30 Blues tasting focused on red wines, as well as their more general Heritage tasting at $20. The hosts are very friendly&informed on their wines. One can drink in the art- and the wine.

Yelp
We had a great visit here during our trip to wine country. We scheduled a tasting ahead of time and arrived a little early. It was no problem- they welcomed us and began our tasting. Our host was fantastic- he grew up in Napa and had lots of information about the area that was fascinating. The wines were good. We also loved seeing where they age their wines- in the original building on the site. I would recommend stopping by for a tasting!
google avatar

Yelp
We had stopped by another winery, but they were closed so we moved on to Markham. In hindsight, I'm glad the other winery was closed. While we were walking in, my husband kept reminding me that we couldn't join another wine club. This was a common theme. We signed up for two last year and had joined another earlier in the week. We did our bar tasting with Nigel and had a good time. He explained a bit about the history of the winery, the soil and their wines. We really liked most of the wines and ended up buying a case made up of Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Petite Sirah, Petit Verdot and Philanthropist. Nigel then explained how the wine club works and then asked "How does that sound?" My husband answered "Sounds like we just signed up for another wine club!". Yep, we signed up for the club. You get 30% off the wine club selections, so it's a pretty good deal. They have already emailed me a few deals and some of them were really good and I took advantage of one. Nigel was great, taking us into the barrel room and making suggestions on where to eat and some tasting room she to go to in downtown Napa. It's definitely worth a stop in here.
google avatar

Avelino C.

Yelp
Michelle did a great job giving us a taste of these fine wines. Petit Verdot, Cab Franc and Zinfandel are difficult wines to make and they do a great job. The place is clean and easy to get to.

Yelp
I loved this beautiful winery for its amazing building (inside and out), its history, but most of all because of the amazing wine. This place was one of my favorites on this second trip to the Napa Valley area. The staff was very kind and explained the history of the vineyard and the process they use for their wine. It is also very nice that some of the land on this winery had been used by the students at the Culinary Institute of America for their class.
google avatar

Lee M.

Yelp
My favorite winery in all of Napa. Not just because of its namesake, but it is one of the most humble, down-to-earth, unpretentious, welcoming wineries on the highway. Nigel is great, ultra-friendly, and very knowledgeable not just about the wines but about the history of Markham. Little know fact, Markham is the 4th oldest continuously operating winery + vineyards in the valley. Bruce Markham purchased the original acres of land on a dime and as a result their tastings, individual bottle prices, and wine club benefits are the most affordable and economical I've seen in any Napa winery. Apologies if I provided a slight alternative fact or two on my history remembrance but I'm pretty confident I recited correctly. Anyways, if you are looking for a straight up casual, family style, non-stuffy tasting experience this is the place. Oh, and the wine club is a no-brainer; 4 bottles curated by the winery, 4 times per year. But you can choose your own quarterly delivery if you wish. Free to join which they'll comp your tastings + 20% or so off any individual bottles you buy when tasting + 20% or so off each bottle shipped as part of the club. Thanks Markham!

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised by everything at Markham winery! Visitors are greeted by a beautiful building with fountain koi pons on both sides. The staff was welcoming and there are a variety of areas to do a tasting (we chose the bar!). As a one of the vineyards the distributes across the country, it is always nice to find a spot that's quality doesn't change regardless of if you can get it in Napa or at home. Their tasting menu is broken into two flights - nationally distributed & estate only. Loved this! Made is so much easier. Since there were four of us we divided an conquered making it easy to try all the options. There were standouts on both lists and the price points at Markham are incredibly approachable. Our group's favorites were the Cellar 1879 blend (you can get it at home - yeeaaa!) and the Cabernet Frank which was a estate/limited production wine. Highly recommend the stop & a great selection for all palates in your group! Thanks to Yelp for the buy one get one tasting coupon!

Yelp
We flew up to Napa for a 3-day tasting tour of 11 wineries. (Winery #5 on the tour) At Markham we enjoyed a sit down tasting, our host was Kip. For a young man he had years of knowledge and he was very in tune to what wines we each liked; making recommendations for each in our group. We enjoyed several pours and found their Charbono to be our favorite, taking home a couple bottles. It's not a common varietal and a nice addition to our wine cellar. If you have friends or you yourself are not partial to 'reds' then give their Charbono a try, our companion in the group who isn't partial enjoyed this particular red. After our tasting we wanted to take some photos and Kip was kind enough to take us to the barrel room for some photo ops. As for the wine (see photo) they have a nice selection of white and reds including: Zinfandels, Charbano, Cab Franc, Cab Sauv, Merlot and for whites Sauv Blanc, Chardonnay And if you enjoy art the Markham Gallery has some artwork on display in the tasting room. Look forward to visiting again the next time we're up in Napa.

Yelp
Beautiful building with a very clean and open tasting room! We did 10 of their classic tastings and really enjoyed all the wines. The server Nigel was so friendly and knowledge about all of the wines. He even reccomeneded his favorite wines and offered to sub some of the wines if preferred! Will definitely come back to this winery if in the area! Thanks again Nigel!!

Yelp
Awesome wine tasting experience. Sophia was our hostess and her knowledge about the wines, grapes and processes. She was very helpful and answered our many questions.

Yelp
Didnt plan to stop but we found oursleves with an extra hour before our next appt and Winery Finder lists them as a 2 for one tasting. Nice building and very quiet inside not busy. Tasting experience was fine but didnt care much for the wine. I bought one bottle that was decent. Not likely to stop by again so many other better quality wineries to visit. Hopefully in the future they can improve their wines.

Yelp
It always feels like Christmas when we leave Markham, with our bags full of wines, since we only stop by twice a year for our wine member pickup. Our last visit was excellent, as it usually is when we stop by for a quick tasting before heading up to Calistoga. Every trip, I like to visit new wineries, and Sam was very helpful with giving me some last minute pointers. He had mentioned that Markham was going to release a Charbono later on because the winemaker had bought some grapes to make them. As we continued our conversation, I became intrigued by this varietal and really wanted to try it! Since Markham didn't have their Charbono yet, Sam was nice to give us free tasting passes to August Briggs, which we decided to check out after visiting Castello. My husband and I loved the Charbono at August Briggs and picked up a bottle, along with their Chardonnay. Thanks for the wonderful recommendation Sam!

Yelp
Markham is ALWAYS been our favorite wine and couldn't wait to go to the winery in Napa. "Mr. T" was amazing and helped us select wines that we could not get in Arizona and avaiable only at the winery. We signed up for the wine club because of the recommendations made by Mr. T. The winery is classy, elegant but very comfortable. In addition to the wine, Mr. T took us to the original section of the winery- the stone walls were beautiful and amazing. He also gave us an education on the different soil samples based on the regions in Napa, which could be viewed in large mason jars. Very interesting! Thank you Markham and you are lucky to have Mr. T on your team. We would recommend this winery! Can't wait to go back. Thank you- Kim & Terry Young (AZ)

Yelp
This was a lovely winery. Added touch: it's also an art gallery! Interesting albeit brief tour, highlighting the vast differences among the soil types in the region. Loved the Petit Syrah!!

Yelp
Hubby wanted to get more wine so driving along Hwy 29 he wanted to try Markham Vineyards. They have some fountains out front and lots of Koi fishes & some giant ones too. That's cool. Inside there's The Harley Bruce Gallery presents Baron Wolman "Hey, hey, my, my, rock & roll will never die" Lots of cool pics of famous musicians & people such as Janis Joplin, Tina Turner, Jerry Garcia, Robert Crumb, etc. Hubby tried some wine & bought some too: Tasting for the Heritage Selection was marked $15, but on the receipt it shows $10. Weird. He bought: Syrah 04 $27 + Muscat 07 $24 + 9.28 tasting fee (wtf?) = $60.28 + tax 4.67 = $64.95. Yikes! Credit cards taken. Separate bathrooms inside the building.

Yelp
A pleasant surprise. With a coupon for two free tastings and time to kill before our private reserve tasting at Beringer, we decided to stop at Markham. We were the first people through the door on a Wednesday morning and enjoyed the wine enough to buy four bottles -- plus items from the gift shop. Heather was friendly and knowledgeable. She generously poured a few wines not on the set menu. We could tell she really seemed to like her job, which unfortunately is not always the case at some tasting rooms. Am glad she was pouring for us; a gentleman who handed us our purchases after we finished touring the gallery seemed very reserved and just "going through the motions of his job." The tasting room and gallery have been added on to the original stone winery, which is apparently one of the oldest in the valley. Old and new do not always work well together -- in this case it was a good marriage. The architecture adds to the pleasure of the tasting experience. The tasting room is light and airy. There was only one other couple tasting when we were there, but judging from the size of the bar, I imagine it is a busy place on weekends. We also enjoyed the gallery with the Baron Wolman photos from the early days of Rolling Stone magazine. The grounds are lovely and we especially enjoyed the koi ponds.

Yelp
My husband and I are members of Markham, Last week I brought 3 guests with me and they take care all of my friends very well They're super nice and friendly staffs The wine is fantastic Thank you so much

Yelp
Beautiful winery. When we visited they had an art display of photographs from Woodstock, which was really cool. We got there early and got bogo tasting with Yelp check in (thanks Yelp!). I liked their chardonnay and their merlot. Both were very smooth and had a nice buttery finish. They had some nice gifts for purchase as well. I got some artisan chocolate to go with my wine purchase. I recommend checking Markham out. It's right down the street from Castello do Amorosa, very easy to find.

Yelp
Phenomenal vineyard with outstanding wines. We've been to many vineyards in the region between different visits and this one stands out. First and foremost because of the personalized service from the lovely Sophia. They make you feel so welcome and have that warmth I always expected but don't always receive in Napa. All with a very modern ambiance though and lovely seating for the tasting which I appreciated after a day of standing around. And most importantly every wine was a stand out! I'd recommend trying the estate selection tasting.

Okay, first let's talk about the "old world castle-type" feel of Markham! The landscaping is beautiful and the views are just WOW! It's absolutely stunning as you walk to the entrance of the tasting room. The tasting and tour are awesome- especially when you go into the HUGE room they do the tasting in. It really shows the sheer immensity of wine production with the barrels stacked up! Highly recommended if you've never been to the area. Make Markham your destination spot for your next visit to St. Helena!

Yelp
We had our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks at Markham and it was spectacular. A bit of context, we had been planning our rehearsal dinner at another venue that backed out on us at the last minute, so we were scrambling to find another spot on short notice. The team at Markham was so accommodating and kind. They quickly put together the proposal, menu, and wine list for us. The cave where we had dinner was fantastic and the space for the welcome drinks was airy and easy to move around in. I'd highly recommend it for a visit or event.

Yelp
i went only because my dad once had their wine, and thought it was amazing! so i wanted to go to their winery and checked things out..... it was close to their closing time i guess that's why we didn't get any warm welcomes at all.... the guy behind the bar who was pouring us wine had the attitude like 'can you guys just finish things up and leave'.... no introduction or any explainations at all... NOT friendly at all in any way! sigh. not recommended! even though their decor are pretty modern and clean... the stone walls were amazing and the entrance is a good pic taking spot! i'd just buy their wines off shelfs at any supermarket!

Yelp
Saw this place as we were driving and decided to stop. It is very close to the road and parking was easy. There is a table area outside in a nice courtyard, but they don't allow picnicking, so basically those tables are just for wine. The tastings are done inside at a nice bar area. It wasn't too crowded when we were there so we had our host's full attention. She was nice and gave us a few extra tastes, which eventually swayed us to buy a few bottles. The grounds are nice, but not as nice as other wineries in the area.
