Markthalle Hannover

Busy lunch place, I believe there are a number of good selection. Good option during cooler month due to a lot in door sitting. I did not eat there, but it is an experience to walk around. There is huge snack selection on the second floor, good for buying some back home. Limited selection for fresh food, but still a good experience for a tourist.

A local marketplace. Some cafe shops offer delicious breakfast. Lovely old people watching newspaper while enjoying Coffee with friends

A great place for a quick meal, snack, or to do some shopping. We stopped by here twice on our day trip and had lunch here. It’s got a good range of options. Traditional German food, other European styles, Sushi, Thai, a few bars, and quite a few different stores with fresh fruit, veg and meat

A great find, definitely recommend lunch in here. Lots of choice and a great atmosphere. All the stall holders are very friendly and provide a fuss free meal. If you think some of the restaurants in the Hannover are quiet this is probably where everyone is.

Nice place! Located in the historical center of Hannover close to Marktkirche. There are a lot of different food, and always a lot of people. The bad thing is that around 7 p.m. many shops and cafes were closed

I had a simple but good quality meal for only 6 euro's. A lot of food shops from all over. Crowded when I was there on a friday afternoon but not unpleasant.

A really cool place. There is so much on offer in here and it’s great to see it busy full of locals the hustle and bustle it’s superb. Felt like the hub of a community.

Hahaha!!! Jerked beef!!! It's my lucky day!!! Check out the South African shop and try their homemade jerked beef. If you feel like it, get a South African cream soda and be happy for the est of the day!! The staff is super kool and friendly. They take their time to explain everything! Will be back!!!

It seems like there are a million places to eat in Markthalle, and it can be a fun place to go with something for everyone. I am not sure it deserves to be a stop on the red line. The first time I went I expected it to be more of a market to buy groceries. While you can do that to some extent, it is basically a place to grab a beer or coffee and lunch. The food is tasty, although quality is questionable.
