Thoroughly enjoyed visiting this local Eugene shop. My wife had seen the Unpaper Towels on Instagram and so we stopped in while traveling through Oregon. Loved seeing all the neat products and offerings, staff was friendly and welcoming and we loved seeing things being made in the rear of the shop. We picked up a reusable sponge and some of the custom Unpaper Towels. :) Really neat place, would come again!

I’ve purchased Marley’s monsters from Etsy and other small stores elsewhere on the west coast previously but was really excited to come in person and see all they have to offer! Grabbed some more napkins to add to my collection - I love how soft and absorbent they are and they’ve completely replaced paper napkins in our house. I also grabbed another sponge (that’s also washable). As long as you wash sharp knives with care (so you don’t cut or tear the fabric) I get 6+ months of use with daily dish washing ( we don’t have a dishwasher). I love that I can wash it and it NEVER gets smelly for me! Also grabbed the duster which I had seen online but learned that I can fit it to my swifter duster handle I already have at home. Actually looking forward to dusting when I get home 😂 I have been using their stuff for over a year now, with daily use and regular washing and haven’t had any issues with quality. I always wash with like fabrics and never dry. It’s the softest cloth you can get!

Warmly greated. Excellent customer service, super clean and well displayed large store with all the Marley's you need! They even have a clearance and remnants rack! Was able to get a replacement cardboard tube for my reusable paper towels which was awesome! I've bought their wonderful products online and so nice to visit in person. The bowl covers are so awesome for bread bakers/ chefs!

This is a tough review. I adore this shop and their mission, and if you have extra money to burn or find something in the seconds bin, you can find uses for the stuff. I love using seconds cloth napkins as tissues. But you just have to know that most of the fabric products are a single layer of cotton flannel stitched around the edges. Very cute fabric, but it is what it is. Even the stuff that isn’t seconds quality starts to fray around the edges, and once you wash a lot of the items (like the bamboo washcloths pictured), nothing ever looks as good as it started. It’s always good to make eco friendly choices though, and there are lots of other products in the shop as well.

I purchased a few sets of their Unpaper towels™ - one for a towel roll, and one to make my own disinfecting wipes in a jar and some for general household cleaning and as napkins. I am sucker for all things eco-friendly and absolutely love Marley's Monsters; their mission, their products and their customer service. The surprise prints are so fun and bring a smile to my face with each use. The quality of the products are excellent, and they towels have held up with weekly washes. The speed of delivery and ease of purchase is efficient. Their customer service is wonderful as well. If you're looking for a way make your home and lifestyle more eco-friendly, I highly recommend checking out Marley's Monsters, I am confident you will not be disappointed.

The only complaint I have about Marley’s Monster’s is there isn’t a store location down the street from me ! I LOVE THIS PLACE. I ordered a bunch of random products to try hoping the products would be like the reviews. I am impressed. I use my “unpaper towels” every day. I put the “cutest ones” (my opinion) in my bathroom, and the others in my kitchen. I hand wash them and hang to dry. ( you can also machine wash) They dry very quick and absorb well. I ordered travel containers ( tin and silicone) which I also hand wash after each use. They do not leak and easy storage. I also tried the tablet toothpastes for the first time! I even have my boyfriend using them! It’s a different experience , but leaves my teeth feeling fresh- no doubt ! The staff knowwwws their stuff & Customer service is very helpful and informative ( that’s important to me ) !

These are the best! I use them all day long, grabbing one for a spill, another to wipe the counter, a third to blow my nose, and one more to clean the peanut butter off my grandson's hands. Then, I either wash them out to use again or toss them in the laundry. I give some as Christmas gifts each year and last year someone called me to ask where I got them after she had seen the cloths at the recipient's home. Thank you for making such a great product!

I moved to Eugene from Minnesota in June and have been on a mission to reduce single use items and other unsustainable habits out of my life completely. Marleys makes it’s easy and super fun! This is my favorite local shop in town. I have most of their products at this point and I have no bad reviews about any of it. The unpaper towels and napkins work flawlessly and are SO cute and stylish. I really feel like I make a difference with my facial wipes, bars of soap, and toothpaste tabs. It’s refreshing to walk in and be greeted by friendly faces and be informed about new products and prints. Going green is very rewarding and I salute you guys for trying to make a difference here in Eugene! Keep up the awesome work!

Yelp
I came in here yesterday with my husband, as we happened to be walking through the 5th street market and I wanted to check this place out. I've been buying reusable items all summer to reduce the amount of waste in my home, especially with paper products. Many of the items in the store I already owned from a different local business. But in this case I happened to find two things that I wanted, and was excited about. Obviously I purchased them and am going to throw them in the washer tonight so that I can start using them. The store is cute, well laid out, and just has a fun vibe to it. If you haven't tried eco-friendly products, you really need to be trying them out. They're so much better than the single use paper products we normally buy. The one thing that killed me here was the owner was sitting behind the counter staring at her phone the entire time we were in there, up until we went to purchase our items. No greeting, no smile, nothing. We didn't exist until we literally demanded her attention because we wanted to give her money for the products we picked. Now, she was nice once we approached the counter, at least, and I appreciate that part. But I despise anyone who runs a business and is on their phone or distracted by something stupid and useless when there are customers in the store. Put the damn thing down so you become approachable! Or use your words and greet your customers, talk to them, be excited about the products you've created and are selling, see if people have questions. Products don't sell themselves. What makes a business memorable is the customer service, and that was severely lacking in here. Would I return? Maybe. I'm 50/50 on that one. I can buy very similar products from a woman at the Saturday Market who takes customer service seriously and goes out of her way to make people happy. Or I can come in here and be greeted by silence and a couple of unique items the Saturday Market woman doesn't have. Hmmm... I'll have to think about if I really want to come back here or not.

Yelp
This is such a cute place! I love how economically friendly everything is here and the gorgeous pattern selections they have. I especially liked the reusable towel selection they had and I wish I had room in my suitcase to buy some. Bit on the pricier side, but it will be cost effective over the longrun.

Yelp
This shop made my travel a lot easier. I needed body lotion, but I needed a container small enough to get by TSA. They had a nice jar of "body food" (an all natural rub made with Shea Butter) that was just under 4 fluid ounces. I went back later because I had bought some local honey for my tea while here, but wasn't able to use it all. They also have empty containers of 3.4 fluid ounces (and that is marked on the outside) which worked great for the remainder of my honey. Everything in the shop is designed for reuse and sustainability, so goodbye to the guilt that usually accompanies my travel wastefulness. Unlike one of the other reviewers, I found the staff to be very engaged with me and helpful. They helped me find both products immediately.

Yelp
Points explained- super cute and fascinating prints but not functional as advertised. Paper towels, wash cloths, & Kleenex MUST be absorbent or it will just spread around. This fabric does not absorb. Buyer beware. Buying experience- I bought from the website and I tried using an online 40% off code. Read carefully at what you can actually use it on and usually it will be sold out. ALSO, I didn't see where to add in the "CODE" so I thought it was at the end and they would allow me to review before pulling the trigger. I went through PayPal and as soon as I clicked on "go back to site for review", it took me back to Marley's Monster's web site with a big "Thank you for your purchase." Wow so not everything I bought was on sale and if given the chance, I would've deleted the Unusable Unabsorbent napkins and Unpractical Unpaper towel holder. Details: I first heard about this company when I was given the facial pads as a gift. I am a licensed aesthetician so I thought this was such a cute gift! The prints were adorable and they were cut and shaped just the right size. They were not absorbent and not good for facial cleaning. I was disappointed because they were very cute and soft but not useful. I then went to the website and found much more cuteness and a variety of different products for the house that had the same adorable fabric prints. What I have been using to replace paper: I have been using Costco's big pack of white terry cloth towels to replace using paper towels. I just fold once and stack them in a cabinet by my sink. I can wash/bleach/dry over and over and they have lasted me years. They are extremely absorbent and do a fantastic job but they aren't cute! They just FUNCTION I have also been using target brand terry wash cloths that are $5 for a 10 pack. Same thing.. wash/bleach/dry and they last for a year until they get their next life with my husband in his garage. They are absorbent and have enough grit to clean pans and food on the counters. FUNCTIONAL. I bought the Unpaper towels, (one for the house and the cute camping fabric theme for the trailer), Untissue for my daughter, a couple of rolls, the wood holder, and the cute wash cloth dryer. All of this looks super cute but it has left me disappointed and feeling duped. THIS PRODUCT IS NOT ABSORBENT. THEREFORE ITS NOT FUNCTIONAL. I know, I know, I should've known by the facial pads being useless! Ugh I purchased over $300 of product and as cute as everything is, the fabric is useless. It's soft but won't absorb liquid, it will just move it around. I will keep everything except their Unpaper towel holder. I'll repurpose the fabric for something else. Unpaper towel holder: The rod fits on a dowel but doesn't screw down so it is not secure. So... how do you move it? You have to grab it from the bottom. Every part is loose so when I wipe down the counters, I can't grab it from the top, I have to slide it or pick it up with both hands to move it out if the way. Frustrating. I dont recommend for anything. Not even to blow your nose. Burp cloth, yes but it may just smear around and not pick up. My daughters use some in their doll house as blankets for Barbie's. Giving it 2 stars for cute and I am hopeful they will find a better fabric that will absorb and stick together to roll up, because I think that is their selling point is that it is cute and functions like a roll of paper towels. It's cute but does not function as a paper towel.

Yelp
I conveniently discovered the shop right before the holidays. Essentially everyone on my list received something from here. Including my husband and his paper towel obsession which is now going to be turned into a lovely relationship with a fine stack of eco-fabric Un-paper towels. And my mother with her obsession with cotton balls. Now she has a stack of cotton face wipes that she can wash and reuse. There's always something new that they are bringing in, inventing, or making available. I made a commitment this last year to reduce my plastic consumption by 25%. Thanks to Marley's I should be able to reduce it by 50% next year.

Yelp
I love that this super adorable eco-friendly woman owned business is a local Eugene shop. They are relocating from their location on 6th street to a small storefront at the new 5th street Public Market area. I caught them at that location at 5th during July's sidewalk sale. I've been wanting to get a few items from them for a while now so I was excited to see their little table set up with all the cute and helpful products. I picked up some reusable cotton rounds. Which is a good place for me to start on this long journey to living waste free. Very happy to use Marley's Monsters as a resource to achieve that goal. Looking forward to visiting them at 5th Street often.

Yelp
This review is just for the store. The address has changed too, they're in the 5th street public market now. The store was still being worked on as they just changed locations, but everything was so cute and the store was just a vibe. Sustainability products are my favorite and I've been following Marley's on IG forever and didn't realize they were in OR! The staff was very kind. Sooo many products, even some I hadn't seen on IG. The baby products were so cute, but I have a little nephew and the items were more of your pink and lighter tones, that was the only bummer. I didn't buy anything, but after seeing all the items I'll definitely be purchasing online!

Yelp
What a horrible business model, trying to take out very small businesses on a platform that they shouldn't even be on. Claiming first use on a word then reporting other small sellers who use it, and have used it longer. Now they want to charge people a fee to use the word. I will never again recommend this company and I will tell anyone who asks exactly how despicable they are.

Yelp
I'm so excited to write a first review for this amazing eco-shop in my new hometown of Eugene, Oregon! I've been in 3 times and have bought great products like a bamboo dish brush and face towelettes. Last time I brought containers and got bulk laundry detergent and Dr. Bronner's liquid hand soap. I also really love is that they have their production and retail together - you can see people assembling products in the back 2/3 of the space. It's a cute place with friendly staff and reasonable prices, and it's absolutely necessary that we support such businesses helping on the path to zero waste! I was drawn to write this review when I looked up what came up for a Yelp search on zero waste. 7 things came up but none of them really related to zero waste - maybe just mentioned in a review or something. Then I remembered Marley's Monsters! Why didn't they come up? So I searched and found they had no reviews, and that's why I'm here :) . I hope when I search zero waste in Eugene again Marley's Monsters comes up number one!

Yelp
Marley's monsters should be on everybody's holiday and bday shopping lists. They have an amazing assortment of creative, eco-friendly products that make you wonder why, for example, sponges aren't washable by default. Some of their items aren't as great as their traditional counterparts, but some of them are leagues ahead. That's what's part of the fun of shopping here, you never know quite what you'll end up with. The owners are very active in the community and donated yards and yards of fabric to making free masks for healthcare workers at the start of the pandemic.

Yelp
I absolutely love their paperless paper towels, cloths and make up removers. They are so adorable!!

Yelp
Rude staff, lady claimed she was owner but didn't answer emails or phone when I FINALLY got the product it was overpriced crap. Thin, not absorbing, and the treads unraveled on first wash. DO NOT SHOP.
