Marlos Bakery was a highlight to my Fairbanks trip. I visited multiple times since it was nearby my airbnb. Their pastries are delightful & baked with care. You can taste the quality in every pastry (sweet or savoury) & they have a good selection. My favourite is the almond croissant. It is light & airy, flakey with a touch of almond sweetness. It's the best almond croissant i've ever had & it beats the ones you get in Europe, which are usually half the size! 🏆🥐🫶 Their creamy chicken gnocchi soup was a standout as well. It's comforting & flavourful. The guy who is the main cashier or manager (didn't catch his name) is welcoming & personable. He gave good recommendations. Glad to find this 💎 bakery. On my last day, I stopped by once more to grab some goodies to take home to Cali. 😺

Google
Such a great shop and all the pastries are DELICIOUS! I definitely recommend the Orange-Cardamom Croissant and the Ube Ensaymada. The Beet Goat Cheese Muffin is a great savory muffin. I love that they also sell such a fun variety of stickers, home goods, and other small gifts by local artists.

Google
Fantastic local bakery! We stopped here while visiting in Fairbanks for a short trip. All of the pastries were freshly baked, and absolutely delicious!!!! We purchased a large box of assorted items, and would have gone back for more if we had the time!

Google
Most yummiest chocolate croissant yet! Also they have captivating gifts. They quite didn't know how to handle my energy because I came in with a grinch peeking thru my jacket. But we did just fine for a first visit. They do have soup, no sandwiches, yet they offer savory croissants. Beautiful interior!

Google
Surprisingly busy little bakery on a Friday morning. Grabbed a few things to share with friends, and I tried one of the croissants. Very flaky and nice, subtle flavor without too much sweet. The prices are reasonable, and the gentleman at the counter was pleasant.

One of our favorite places in the area. It became our tradition to stop in every weekend and grab breakfast and a great. The ube treats were my favorite, can't wait to come back! ALSO TRY THE ORANGE CARDAMOM PASTRY

Yelp
This place was sooooo good. The food was definitely worth getting. We had the burnt sausage croissant. And we tried the special. Definitely check it out. Just no there is no seating. So be prepared to grab it and go.

Yelp
Food My morning bun was so dry it seemed like it was made yesterday. Service Ambiance due to lack of a customer bathroom.

Yelp
This small but wonderful spot features a delectable assortment of pastries and baked goods. The pain au chocolat is absolutely perfect--light, flaky, and generously filled with dark chocolate. My friend got some kind of variation on a spinach pie that he loved as well. Coffee was very good as well. Unneeded but well-deserved bonus points for the excellent and friendly service, which featured an unexpected Alaskan compliment on my Mets hat from a fellow fan (whose dad grew up on LI). Kind of made my day--LGM, even in the 49th State!!!

Yelp
I used to spend the majority of my calories and money at Marlow's because I have no self control. My favorite was the almond croissant with slivered almonds crusted on top and a creamy almond paste sandwiched in the middle. But as of late, the croissants seemed less flaky and the delicious middle disappeared! The chocolate croissant is a nice alternative with a stripe of chocolate in the middle. It could use a bit more chocolate to balance out the amount of dough. Savory croissants are great warmed up. Cinnamon rolls are good when they're fresh but a bit dry if you consume it at the end of the day. Bread pudding with feta is delicious. The staff is friendly but, amid a pandemic, there was not a mask in sight. The clerk hovered over the pastries as she spoke. No gloves from bagging pastries to ringing up the order. If I feel bold, I may stop by again to see if the pastries live up to their former greatness. Top tip: This is a popular place for pastries. Go early, lest they sell out of their most popular (or your favorite) items.

Yelp
Delicious pastries and great people. I'm never dissapointed. My favorite pastry shop in town.

Yelp
This is such a cute local bakery. It's small inside but very cozy with lovely decor. We got a ham & cheese croissant and a chocolate croissant. They are really soft, flaky, and buttery. Will definitely be back to try their other pastries in the future :)

Yelp
The croissants are so delicious. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. My favorite is their almond crunch one. However, I think they can elevate this croissant with a sauce inside. It can be a little dry. I have also tried their ham and cheese croissant. It is good as well. I will be trying more items.

Yelp

This is a small bakery and it's amazing. I had a chocolate croissant and a coffee it was reasonably priced There are some arts and craft Items to purchase as well.

Yelp
Everything I've had from Marlo's has been exceptional! I've bought a couple items in person but also gotten their cinnamon rolls, cookies, etc from some of the local coffee huts that sell them. It's a small shop but worth checking out!

Yelp
Great pastries! What a gem in Fairbanks that we came across. Thanks for a great breakfast

Yelp
This place is AMAZING. Hands down, best bakery experience I've had in awhile and definitely the best one I've had in Alaska. I dropped by on a Sunday while I was running errands and was not disappointed. At first I grabbed a cheesecake brownie (holy cow), a goat cheese and beet muffin (if you like beets, this is so tasty, if you don't, stay away) and their chocolate croissant (a staple of theirs and the perfect filling to dough ratio, just right). So I dragged my friend here a few days later because two stomachs are better than one when you have a sweet tooth like me. And we got 7 things and loved them all for their unique and delicious qualities. Tried the Ube (purple sweet potato cake), chocolate croissant (perfect, again), apple crumb coffee cake, apple cinnamon roll (you have to get this if she makes them again, best damn cinnamon roll in my life), bear claw (filling to flaky dough ratio perfect and not overly sweet and just...), ensymada (Philippine sweet roll) and the chocolate gingerbread cookie. All of them were great and worth it. And now my friend and I are in a sugar coma but have absolutely no regrets. And yeah, sorry no pictures made it because we ate all the things before common sense took over.

Yelp
If you're visiting Fairbanks you HAVE to come here. Adorable little bakery with friendly service and the best chocolate croissant I've ever had.

Yelp
I love Marlo's Bakery. Their Croissants are legit. My favorite bakery in town. The staff is friendly and seem to be hardworking,I always see someone in the back making some delicious masterpiece. Mouth watering delicious treats.

Yelp
Finally made a visit to this wonderful smelling bakery after hearing how great it was. I was not disappointed. Was greeted with a smile and embraced by the smells of bread, coffee and sweetness. I LOVE croissants! I LOVED the chocolate filled croissant I purchased. I can't believe I hadn't been sooner. Lord help me and my waistline after finally going. Go! Eat! You won't regret it!

Yelp
I heard great things about this little bakery and decided to give them a shot! Very last minute I messaged her on Facebook and she told me the cakes she had available quickly, and was able to do a custom message on top for my mother in law. The cake was gorgeous, moist, and not over frosted! Which is important lol the price was expensive 48 for a red velvet 8 inch cake however, supporting local small businesses is worth it. I also tried a cinnamon roll while I was there and OMG yuuum. Thank you!!

Kaili B.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem! Friendly staff and helpful! We finally checked Marlo's bakery out and they have some of the best homemade snickerdoodles, cinnamon rolls & chocolate croissants. We will definitely be back it was so yummy and not super pricey. I definitely recommend this place for bakery goodies.

Yelp
The best croissants in town. This place is the best bakery in Fairbanks, I would visit even more often if the hours were longer.

Jazzmond J.

Yelp
One of the best things about Fairbanks! I stop by at least once a week for a Goat cheese beet muffin, almond croissant or a cheesecake brownie. Great customer service and cozy atmosphere. They're also at the Tanana Farmers market. Stop by for a yummy treat.

Tom T.

Yelp
For the best French Pastry north of Anchorage this is the place to go. Almond croissants and chocolate croissants are my favorites.

Eunese G.

Yelp
The ensaymada I got today was so delicious. The place is so neat the customer service is great.

T I.

Yelp
This family run bakery serves up a small selection of very tasty croissants and other pastries. At this time they only offer a drip coffee, but it was fresh and hot when I visited. I tried the almond croissant, which is slightly different than others than I have had. Instead of a filling of marzipan, almonds and perhaps almond paste was brushed over the top. It was great! The croissant was light and flaky and the almond topping was lovely. I will definitely be coming back and maybe next time will try the pan au chocolat.

Patrick D.

Yelp
Delicious artisanal baked goods. Filipino sweet rolls, Spanish rolls, chocolate croissants, savory tomatoes and mozzarella croissants, daily specials. Being a bakery it opens a little early, at 7 I believe, and closes early at 3. They also sell some of their product at the local Coop Market (where Carrs used to be). Delicious stuff, well worth the price. Come support a local business that takes the time to make a delicious product!

Desirae N.

Yelp
I didn't visit the actual bakery but I bought a lemon bar from the co op down the street that was made at the bakery and it was SO good. I'm not even a huge fan of lemon bars but it was amazing. I can't wait to go in and try the other pastries

Yelp
Tried Marlo's for the first time this morning and it did not disappoint! Got a baguette that was fresh out of the oven and still soft and warm; the cinnamon roll was very flavorful but not overly sweet; and the walnut sticky bun (which was my FAVORITE) was kind of messy but so delicious. The service was great, the inside was super cute, and the smell made me never want to leave. I've definitely found my new go-to bakery!

Yelp
Best home style place in this town! Marlo is super sweet and always greets you with a huge smile. My mom and I adore coming here
