Best Quiche ever had! And the vegan Choco loaf is a must try! It tastes like…an Oreo-velvet cake! Staff were friendly, the vibe of the cafe was easy and cozy~

A real gem of a cafe about a 10 minutes walk from Brighton College and 5 minutes from the hospital. One of those places that is so good you almost don’t want people to know about it…one of the best coffees I have ever had and the scrambled eggs with crispy bacon was…amazing. It’s a deli and a wine bar in the evening so food choices are very impressive (omg have just seen donuts arrive). Lots of pay by phone parking nearby and unlike a lot of cafes nearby it doesn’t close at 5pm. Highly recommended.

A great, cozy coffee shop which is the only place in Kemptown that is open later than 4pm!!!! They have a lovely selection of salads (the chickpea broccoli salad was amazing), and loads of toasties but I wish they had a vegan toastie I could’ve had. They do have a couple of vegan cakey treats (today I had the salted caramel flapjack which was lush, but I’ve had their peanut butter loaf cake before which was also delish!). They also have a little grocery selection which is very fancy. I kind of find it funny people moaning about them not taking cash. Isn’t that pretty standard these days for smaller businesses?

This place deserves more praise - what a lovely lovely cafe. I visited today and ended up staying for a good few hours working because I didn’t want to leave! The place is Italian inspired but lives by no rules, serving up a whole host of cafe foods, from breakfast to brunch to sandwiches and some banging lunch options too, alongside the huge selection of cakes and bakes and sweet treats. Fully stoked like a deli with fine, local and homemade pantry items, the place is a foodie dreamland! The dhal soup of the day was UNREAL. So flavourful, creamy, and the perfect consistency. A large salad plate full of veggies and hearty salads was a healthy and filling choice too. I also had a creamy and delicious pumpkin spiced latte, though it was a little lacking in pumpkin flavour. The staff were lovely, attentive and the perfect amount of welcoming and chatty, checking up on my food and drinks and quickly taking away used plates and cups. Not to mention the atmosphere, which is bustling and busy given the small space, but charming and cosy! What a cafe, what a place, and the owners should be proud 😁

Amazing place for great food and drinks! Very cosy, stylish and delicious! I want to stay there all day. 😊 I went for full breakfast, with rustic bread toasts, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and avocado. ( sorry, eat it before take a picture 👀) Then I have a juice of the day: beetroot, apple, lemon, ginger and turmeric. Yummy! Fantastic coffee! They’ve got alcoholic and not alcoholic cocktails as well. You can buy plenty of homemade items like jams, honey, bread, organic olive oil, cookies, eggs, fruits, chocolates etc. Highly recommend to visit. It located in Kemptown, close to Royal Sussex County Hospital.

*"5-Star Cafe Experience! 😊👌* I recently visited this cafe and was blown away by the excellent customer service! The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure I had everything I needed. But what really impressed me was the food - their sandwiches were absolutely delicious! Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and a variety of options to choose from. If you're looking for a great spot to grab a quick bite or meet with friends, look no further! This cafe is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back for more of their tasty sandwiches and top-notch service. *Recommended for:* Breakfast, lunch, sandwiches, coffee, and great customer service. *Favourite feature:* The friendly and attentive staff!

Yelp
Very authentic, delicious food. Not stingy with the cheese! Or the portions. Lots of variety and great cappuccinos. I recommend getting the Ham, Cheese and Branson Pickle Sandwich! The Chilli looked incredible and will try that next time!

Yelp
Everything was wonderful! Sandwich options are varied. Quiches are imaginative. Salads are delicious. Scones and other sweets cannot be refused. Waitstaff very friendly and Louise, the manager is helpful, knowledgeable and dedicated. The cafe uses mostly local products.

Yelp
Had an amazing sandwich here, proper fillings with lots of stuff packed in with the right combination of flavours. All the food looks homemade but of a high standard. Lots of choice, not just the usual sandwiches and cakes. Had a pot of chilli and nachos that looks to die for! Will definitely go again. Great friendly environment and lively decor

Yelp
I'm a big fan of Cafe Marmalade! It's not really in the greatest location for us, but it's worth going out of your way to visit. It's a fairly small place, but doesn't feel cramped, and there are a few extra table on the upstairs balcony. It's pretty child friendly with a small box of books and crayons in the corner, but unfortunately they don't have highchairs which makes eating with a fidgity toddler a bit tricky. The staff are friendly and accomodating, and didn't mind too much when my little one kept trying to dive behind the counter! However, it is the food here that really makes this place stand out. The have a great selection of freshly made quiches, tarts and sandwiches. All hot dishes are served with a wonderful selection of fresh salads. The cakes here are also exceptional - my favourites being the Bakewell Tart and the Treacle Tart.

Yelp
An absolutely fabulous cafe, with some amazingly sized portions which are delicious! The decor is distressed/schoolhouse, not overtaking the function of the place as there's a fair amount of space to sit, eat, read and natter. They also do takeaway for breakfast/lunch/early dinner. The salmon quiche I had was very flavoursome and creamy, with a nice crust (not too crumbly). With two salads (tomato/cucumber and pea/green bean), it came in around £8. There was ample selection for a late-ish lunch on a Saturday, followed by a great cake (from The Real Patisserie - but I'm told they bake the majority of their cakes, tarts, pies etc). If you value quality and flavour, then this is your place.

Yelp
I checked into Cafe Marmalade after dropping my friend off for work at the hospital. If you are near the hospital in Brighton its the perfect cafe to visit as its a peaceful, friendly and well-designed spot with gorgeous goodies. I didn't have the opportunity to sit in but I made up for it with 4 takeaway items. I loved the ham and cheese panini. It was big, toasty and tasty- what more could you ask for? As for their sweets I tried the brownie with white chocolate bits. It was sweet and the ideal balance of crunchy and soft. Then I tried one of their pastries. All in all- the food was spot on and way above average cafe treats. As for my drink, I thought the latte was average. However, despite the average drink the atmosphere and delightful treats did more than make up for it. I would visit this place on the regular if I lived around town.

Yelp
This cafe is absolutely top notch. The quality of the food is absolutely outstanding and the presentation of it is great too. I would highly recommend the quiche or the frittata if they have it on that day. If you are in the mood for something sweet, their brownies are exquisite. Their cakes are gorgeous too - I could easily eat the whole of their Guinness and chocolate cake! The biggest downside that they are incredibly pricey. They charge £7.95 for a lot of their dishes which is quite a lot to spend on lunch. That being said, if you have an NHS card make sure you bring it with you as you get 10% off when you show it! Another downside is that you never know what they are going to have on that day so you cannot guarantee that you will get the exact dish you want.

Yelp
This is such a gorgeous, busy little cafe near the Royal Sussex County Hospital, they have a wide variety of food and lots of little nooks and crannies to sit in. I recently had a beetroot quiche with 2 salads and it was one of the best lunches I've had in a long time. The quiche was creamy and rich but not heavy and the salads (potato and bean) were so full of flavour. If you're a member of NHS staff, you can show your badge for 10% off too!

Yelp
This little Cafe is marvellous! From the moment you step through the door you're greeted by warm smiles all around! The staff is always in a very good mood and extremely friendly. Whether for having breakfast or lunch everything is delicious! Fresh milkshakes, smoothies, juices with fantastic scones, bread and different marmalade! Every day they offer a huge variety of fresh salads, quiches, sandwiches, pies, tarts for lunch. They also have delicious cake, other sweet pastries and brownies, which are definitely the best brownies in Brighton! And all is home-baked!!! I love this place!!! https://www.facebook.com/marmaladeuk?fref=ts

Yelp
Such a nice cafe. It has a really homey, rustic fell. The food is really good homemade fare. Excellent coffee and friendly staff. Highly recommend!
