Google
A friend recommended this place. It has a rustic feel to it! I’m really glad I went because they have some really amazing sandwiches (kebab wraps). I had their halloumi sandwich wrap (vegetarian) for take away, which tasted really good. The ingredients they use in the plates/sandwiches (also on display at the counter) looked really tempting. Do ask for their spicy sauce which they give on the side, if you want to amp up the flavour and spice level!

Google
Without a doubt, the best sandwich in Berlin! The food is incredibly fresh and flavorful, the prices are absolutely fair for the quality, and the atmosphere is welcoming and lively. The staff is friendly and attentive, making the entire experience perfect from start to finish. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in the city.

Google

Google
Amazing experience. Had the Shawerma for 4,50€. Best Shawerma I’ve had in Berlin yet! Friendly staff, large menu selection, amazing portions. Definitely recommend.

Was one of the best places I went to in Berlin Delicious shawarma and nice people 🫶

Falafel and halloumi were okay. But the french fries were horrible. Extremely oily, neither crispy nor freshly fried.

Yelp
Dayum dayum dayum. This place is wholesome AF. You will leave feeling 10 years younger. No lie. My recommendation: - falafel halloumi sandwhich - freshly pressed carrot juice The price for this godly combo, a reasonable 7 schmeckles. Do i need say any more? Oh ye the toilet needs renovation. Keepin it real, Just go for the meal, Fantastic Deal. Peace n love, GO and spread some too.

Yelp
Maroush is a tiny restaurant offering an affordable menu of casual Lebanese food. The Maroush Platter came with literally some of everything they offered: kofta (ground beef kebab), shish taouk (chicken kebab), makanik (Lebanese beef sausage), chicken shawarma carved from a rotating spit, fried vegetables (eggplant, cauliflower, zucchini, fries), falafel, halloumi, tabbouleh, grape leaves stuffed with rice, salad, pickles, hummus, toum, and spicy chili sauce, along with two rounds of pita. Everything was drizzled with tahini, which added an unctuous, earthy flavor to every bite, and while everything on the platter was delicious, I especially liked the flavors added by the toum and chili sauce. The seating here was extremely limited, but the value and the flavors of the food definitely made up for the lack of atmosphere!

Yelp
The food is good and the employees are friendly but the hand that prepares the food is the hand that touches money. Hygiene is a bit of an issue.

Yelp
I went four years ago when I visited and remembered loving it. Was not as impressed this time after seeking it out. The pita type bread on the shawarma sandwich is a bit oily and too many toppings for my liking that clashed a bit. Still great bang for your buck though.

Yelp
One of the best falafels I've had anywhere anytime, and the platters look excellent as well. For some reason, Berlin has exceptionally good falafel joints - at least compared to the USA. Very fresh, lots of flavors going on, neat sauces. This one is above the pack.

Yelp
Amazing food for an amazing price! Cheap wraps and teller plates are as delicious as they are filling! A great spot for a bite on the go or even to sit and enjoy great food in great ambience! My friend Mckinlay especially enjoyed her two teller plates.

Yelp
During my 6-day visit to Berlin I have been here twice. Now I am someone who always tries to try things new--especially in places I am in only for a very limited time. So what I mean is....THIS PLACE IS FRIGGIN GOOD! Here's what I had: DÖNER KEBAP in pita bread - €3 I chose the chicken meat and all I can say was this was an amazing pocket of treasures that I had buried in my mouth! Holy smokes was this good! That hummus sauce just did it with a small slab I chili crates the perfect taste and the right amount of spice. I loved tasting the fried potatoes and the meat was delicious! Within that were vegetables, going it that crispy fresh crunch since I was kid of a rich meal. I shared this with my sis and it was a great amount of food. Another thing I like about having all this in a pita bread is that it doesn't taste doughy. It's like the pita breads purpose is I only hold everything together. So you're enjoying nothing but all the flavored ingredients in this big pocket of awesomeness! This hole in a wall is a fantastic place! It has a sit down area like a restaurant than a food stand. The prices are super reasonable and the food was shareable! Sure it's in sort of a sketchy area part of town but it's conveniently close to the train station. I highly recommend this place and I'm sure one would agree that this is the best döner kebab/gyro/shawarma ever! I love you Berlin. Thank you for the döner kebab. :)

Yelp
Incredible food and huge portions! I got the chicken schwarma platter for about 7 €, but after looking at some of the sandwiches others were eating, definitely would have been full from just a sandwich (they're enormous). The hummus is amazing, and the meat juicy and well seasoned, and the platter also some with a small salad. The fries were underwhelming (pretty cold and very soggy) but I was full without eating them anyway. A decent amount of seating, including some hidden seating in the back of the restaurant. Great value, would come back again!

Yelp
This place is sooooo good. During my 4 days in Berlin, I went to Maroush 5 times. I was obsessed with this place because it was ridiculously good and had huge portions (super filling). It was also very affordable; it was less than $4 usd for the sandwich. I'm willing to make a flight out to Berlin just to eat at Maroush or pay someone to ship it to me.

Yelp
Maroush is definitely one of the best cheap eats in Berlin and everyone in the Kotti area already knows this as evidenced by the lines out the door that you'll inevitably encounter during peak lunch hours. But they are pretty quick and efficient behind the two-man counter, so wait times generally aren't too long. You'll find some of the best taste-bud pleasing, stomach-filling deals here under their "Sandwiches" section. There are quite a few to choose from, all at the bargain price of 3€. The best of them that I've had (chicken schwarma, beef schwarma, kafta, and falafel), in my opinion, would definitely be the chicken schwarma sandwich and it's become my regular go-to here. It's packed with moist and flavorful chicken schwarma, deliciously soggy fries, a crisp salad and pickled veggie mix, and a tasty and tangy tahini sauce mixed in. They aren't finished there however. After properly stuffing the pita with all of the tasty ingredients, your sandwich is then put under a hot iron press, warming the contents of your sandwich and toasting the pita to a nice crisp. Wrapped up in a bit of foil, it's the perfect lunch if you are on the go.

Yelp
Notice: cash only. The platter is good at €8.50. Everything is fresh. Seating is cramped, so expect a squeeze. No complaints really. Good food

Yelp
The stars hung low that night, like deep-frizzled cauliflowers over the twiglet stains of Kreuzberg. For some unbeknownst reason my name was Benny, and I'd just turned 33 like an LP (33 rpm) that's 33 years old (it would have to be one that was released in 1986 for temporal accuracy and guaranteed hilarity). There had been none of the typical slow brutal birthday beatings yet, just a few sensual belly rubs from my Prussian comrades-in-schwarms, who in high spirits had decided to give me the new nickname of Schwangerermann, a German word that means "possessor of a penile instrument the size of a baby's tantrum". That night I was prepared to use it. Repeatedly. Maroush, which I am told is not an anagram of Our Mash, is shituated on the murky plank of Adalbertsscheiße, the perfect place to picklepocket tipsy touris with tarry taches or force a family of frogs into a felching frenzy for a pfennig. Unfortunately English isn't my first or last language. Neither is English. Back to Maroush, which I am told is not an anagram of Sour Ham, infamous for its rudeness of psychedelic proportions, and the inevitable sexual tension that results from eye contact with its rotating flesh machine. If you've ever masturfuried into a bucket of rogers we're of similar spunklengths. I gave the order to some absolute splazzerhound who somehow must've snuckled some pickles into my puke-worm womb of halloum without my knowledge, imitating a human grunt when I laid down mine zair goot Doitch und zagged NO. His excuses for eyes were all fat and oil but I could detect the empurpled flicker of his volatile nature. I took my birthday beating with a greasy smile, scooping up my teeth with a broken Sternburg bottle. I don't want to be accusative but I would not take him on a dative or touch his genitive. Nominative.

Yelp
Magical food and cool simple atmosphere The halloumi sandwich with fries on it and sesame sauce changed my life

Yelp
THIS IS A MARRIAGE PROPOSAL TO MAROUSH It is far away the best and inexpensive food you can get in Berlin, maybe in the world. I was here with my foodies probably 100 times and each time it was outstanding. The well-flavored chicken in combination with potatoes, radish, fresh herbs and vegetabeles, all together in a crispy toasted bread with a well-dosed garlic flavor and a touch of lemon - fits together perfectly. Choose one shawarma slightly spicy and go through a sensuous climax! If I could give 3000 stars, I would do.

Yelp
Berlin is full of Turkish kebab places. Which aren't bad, they're actually really good. But this place is actually Lebanese/Syrian and that does make a bit of a difference tastewise. But not in a bad way! What is really good about this place is that it's very affordable - me and my friends had 3€ shoarmas, both beef and chicken ones. And it wasn't just that the meat was different, they varied when it came to ingredients, in ex. the chicken one had fries inside. They were very tasty! But actually the menu isn't just shoarmas. It's very rich and written out in both german and arabic, if that helps! There is seating space inside and also outside on sunny days. The interior is pleasant with wooden and beige details. The lines to the counter confirm that the food is good and popular!

Yelp
An absolute must-eat. The finest cuisine in Berlin bar none. To die happy and say you lived a fulfilling life, you have to come to Maroush. Get the Chicken Schwarma Teller. God bless.

Groggius R.

Yelp
I love the food in this place, but the hygiene is lacking. The bathrooms have no soap, and the water faucet is defective. I'm going to guess that none of the staff wash their hands through the day's work. On the other hand, the food is prepared with bare hands. Combined with the obvious hygiene problem that this creates, it also tells me that this restaurant doesn't bother with hygiene. Are the vegetables washed? Are they soaking in cleaning liquid? Is the meat stored in appropriate conditions? Is the oil for the falafel changed regularly? (deep-fry oil becomes carcinogenic with time.) When a restaurant doesn't bother to even do the bare minimum of keeping a functional toilet, I'm afraid to even think about what happens in places that the customers don't actually see. It's too bad, because the food is one of the best among this type of places in all of Berlin, but I won't go eat there anymore, and neither should you.
google avatar

Laura P.

Yelp
I wanted to go somewhere else, but my cab driver insisted this place was the best. Extremely tasty, guys. They do their kebabs right - I think about the falafel sandwich a lot. The crust is so thin, the filling is so fresh, and it's easy to eat! I was full, but I still wanted more! And in the summer, it's a nice place to sit.
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite schwarma in Berlin for several years running, a must have every time I visit. The place might look dodgy to you if you're the pretentious type, but to me, it's classic hole-in-the-wall-delivering-explosive-flavor. The chicken schwarma sandwich is packed with saucy chicken, a smooth and intense tahini sauce, fries, and crispy vegetables. I especially like the introduction of what i think are crispy fresh slivers of pickled beet. At €3, the value is very reasonable too. Visit during off peak hours to avoid waiting and to get a seat. The restrooms here never have paper towels!

Yelp
Fairly priced, yet genuine and yummy lebanese Shawerma Kebab, served with a smile from the friendly staffers. Great for a quick bite before hitting the cocktail bars and Cafes around the corner.

Yelp
Hi The service is not good. I had a guy actually push me, another would not hang our coats.
google avatar

Yelp
My friend and I were getting "hangry" after finding out the restaurant we wanted to eat at was closed while in Kruezburg. We stumbled on Maroush which is a small place with a colorful, artfully decorated interior. We both had the chicken shawarma plate which came with salad, pita, and several other sauces. Everything tasted great. Although the owner couldn't speak English well, he was very polite and even gave us a free soda (it's the little things that matter).
google avatar

Jia O.

Yelp
I was drawn to Maroush as it promised Lebanese style shawarma. The flavors were strong and it was quite tasty, great value for 3 euros compared to your average doner spot. I'd come back to try the falafel and other plates.
google avatar

Nancy F.

Yelp
Maroush = Marvelous, but don't plan on getting fresh with anyone afterwards. Garlic-city! I orderd the schwarma teller, which was fab. It was a rather large portion and included an array of delicious sides. The only thing Maroush could work on is the tables. They are a little sticky.
google avatar

Audrey L.

Yelp
An unassuming Lebanese place in the busy area of Kottbusser this place delivers on flavor and value. Don't bother trying to read the menu up top, its illegible, instead grab a laminated one and score a seat outside to people watch while you decide. The falafel wrap was my favorite! Tender warm falafel wrapped up with veggies and hummus in a toasty pita!! Amazing. The schwarma and chicken wraps are good as well with a hearty addition of fries inside to soak up all that booze. If you're extra hungry they have massive plates at a great deal! I had a mixed meat plate that weighed the same as a fat baby for under €10! Best part is its open late so you can stop there on the way to the next party.
google avatar

N H.

Yelp
Great Libanese in best grab and go location at Kotti. Always packed and very few seats so take out recommended. Falafel is homemade and just like everything else extremely fresh. Fries are a bit saggy. Sandwich or platter 3-6€
google avatar

Izabela R.

Yelp
Wonderful food in this price range. Plates are huge as for me so I take sandwich options. It's far more than a kebab. And their ayran is also more tasty than in regular kebab places. Really good tip for a quick meal.
google avatar

Diana B.

Yelp
I kind of can't believe I just had to add this place to Qype...I thought it was pretty well known? Am I crazy? Anyway this place has got quality falafel fer sure. Fresh goodness in yummy pita, which I prefer to the thick Turkish bread a lot of places use. And I love the outdoor picnic benches in warm weather. Yum!
google avatar

Kat Z.

Yelp
I was taken here by a friend who said this was Lebanese cuisine. I've tried other places in Germany also claiming to be Lebanese cuisine (but as a fair warning, I'm not familiar with what *actually* constitutes real or good Lebanese food), and this place was not my favorite. Pretty much all I got on my plate was meat, meat, MEAT! Sausage meats, spicy meats, you name it, I got it. Granted, it was a HUGE plate, and there was lots to try, but a majority of it did not impress me. I'm more of a meat/carbs/veggies kind of gal, and I like a little more balance to my plate. The food was decent, the prices were fair, and the atmosphere was good, but ultimately, there are much better places to eat, even within a block's distance.
google avatar

David S S.

Yelp
Maybe the best falafel I've ever had...every trip to Berlin brings me to this place for several meals usually. There's some sort of spice that they use in the falafel that I've never had before that makes these delicious...cooked perfectly crispy as well. I'd recommend having it made spicy...We certainly don't have anything as good in Los Angeles. I'm also a bit of an asthma nerd and try to avoid dairy as much as I can...but the Halloumi sandwitch is hard to resist. The staff is great...they have to put up with many rude and entitled guest...mostly guest that speak some form of English unfortunately... People please be nice and patient with the staff...you're not in front of a fryer and a doner kabab skewer 40+ hours a week...and you're not the only person waiting to eat...you're going to get your food after the person who ordered in front of you...unless it was a special order then it could take a little longer. That's how lines work. This place is the best...be nice and enjoy your food!
google avatar

Aaron M.

Yelp
This is great food at the perfect price. Much better than any Doner you'll find in the area.
google avatar

Ana Paula M.

Yelp
The best food I had in Berlin so far, and not talking only about Lebanese food. Everything in the menu is great and the prices are really cheap! The bread always fresh and tasty and the chicken is always impeccably good (like everything else). The staff, even with me speaking a terrible German, are always nice and friendly. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Anita G.

Yelp
I went there with my friends because someone recommended us the place and the shawarma was SO GOOD! It was a little cramped even though it was 12 am but the food and atmosphere made up for it. If you're in kreuzberg, definitely stop by here.
google avatar

Maggie D.

Yelp
Only 3€ for a big and tasty sandwich? I say YES! The falafel sandwich is very good. Although they put too much fries on it sometimes. Add halloumi cheese to any sandwich for 0.50€. It makes it delicious. I didn't like the kefta sandwich though. Great address for cheap and good food.

Leo M.

Yelp
We're walking down Adalbertstrasse and suddenly the most playful little shawarma bar was in front of us - Maroush. A little place with a few wooden tables. A quiet place where the owners son welcomed us. We ordered three beef shawarma in bread. As the food came in the first bite indicated that this was something special. A delicate and precise selection of lettuce, onion and tomatoes. Oh- the meat. Where to even begin. Grilled lamb, not to thick not to thin. We ate as kings that day, and Maroush will always be in our hearts. ***UPDATE*** Just finished another maroush platter and it wasn't good.
google avatar

Lena K.

Yelp
A good place to try out in Berlin. Lebanese local in Kreuzberg area. Can be very full, so expect a line. Chicken kebab was good. A great variety of vegetables!
google avatar

Teddy E.

Yelp
The sandwich here is a total winner. Something like 3 euro for a giant sandwich that will keep you going for hours. I also am pretty sure they put crack in their chicken marinade. Definitely a cut above the generic Döner that you get at shops around Berlin. The line was a little chaotic and some patience was required, but it's well worth it. They also have some nice picnic tables outside for eating.
google avatar

Kat D.

Yelp
Great food fast-- cheap and exactly as good as it looks. Wish this type of "fast food" existed in every city.
google avatar

Linda Y.

Yelp
Very nice food! And friendly, cozy place for snack!
google avatar

Sylvia S.

Yelp
This was the best falafel I had in Berlin. Or really ever actually, I'm usually not a big fan of falafel. There's usually a slight wait, but it's worth it as long as seating is available.
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Great little place near Kotti. Their food is delicious and crispy fresh. The falafel are being made right in front of your eyes, the portions are huge! Maroush is pretty popular, so plan in some time when you go. I hopped over to get my lunch to go to go sit by the canal, which was not a great idea. I had to wait some time to get my food and then was rushed. They do have some tables inside and out, so just bring some time and enjoy your food taking in the colorful street life of Berlin!
google avatar

Lauren W.

Yelp
Maroush is my favorite! Used to live up the street and go here with friends all the time. Took photos with the staff before heading back to the states from life in Berlin because we were buds by the end of my time. I love getting Pommes in my Schawarma from Maroush during late night. Falafel is delish and the sauces were right on. It's an Imbiss folks, not a great sit down place. Get your food, eat quick and be on your way but you will be fully and happy.
google avatar

S C.

Yelp
I've had a lot of shawarma and this was some of the best I've had. Reasonably priced and well sized. Shawarma in my hometown won't be the same now that I've had this.
google avatar

Nikhil M.

Yelp
went here with fellow entrepreneurs from the betahaus. the place is cosy and the food was tasty. the place was busy on a tuesday night so it took some time to find seats. one of the guys behind the counter was a bit rude but he seemed to be having a long day. the food made me forget about it.
google avatar

Flavor G.

Yelp
great falafel, fair prices. real lebanese food. this falafel snob is happy here. i have not found better in kreuzberg. very nice staff as well.
google avatar

B D.

Yelp
Simply put, this place is fantastic and well worth the wait! When I travel back to Berlin I will definitely visit this place again.
google avatar

Galo R.

Yelp
Ate a haloumi sandwich here it was great and also cheap. Recommend it. I'll definitely come back

Ethan A.

Yelp
Excellent, simple, hearty Lebanese fare. Comparable to the Lebanese street food I regularly get in Dearborn, and better than I've gotten in New York and London. Get the maroush teller -- a big platter of various street food staples for about 8.5 euros. So good I went twice in a two day span which I almost never do.

Mel B.

Yelp
Very good food and abundant portions. I like the atmosphere as well: don't expect an elegant or chic restaurant, tough! I am vegan and intolerant to gluten, so even tough I could not eat the magnificent looking (and probably very good tasting) bread, I would highly recommend this place to someone with a similar diet. The vegetarian plate is in fact vegan and very rich. In my opinion it's even a better option that one with meat because it's richer: you get sauces, fresh vegetables, fried vegetables, falafel, fries, wine leaf roll... It's fantastic, really
