Only posting this review to let y’all know that the wonderful marquee antique shop is already almost ready to open nine months after Helene hit them very hard. The Building was completely gutted doors and windows blown out and we went by just last weekend and they already have glass up and they’re working very diligently to get it back open so keep checking back in support local businesses and help out Asheville.

This is the best gallery complex in town, and it is surrounded by many other excellent smaller galleries. At a conservative estimate, I would guess that there are at least 200-300 separate artist's galleries under this roof, and Many Excellent artists who display their work here. Extra benefits are that it is across from the Wedge Brewery and 12 Bones BBQ. It is easy to spend a full afternoon here. I love this town!

Marquee is part of the River Art District and the most impressive of what we were able to see so far. That's why Marquee deserves its own review. Marquee is like a big warehouse full of arts. When you first walk in, you'd see a robot guard and on the ceiling, there are decorated umbrellas hanging up side down. I like that the ceiling is tall and each kiosks have decent space so it made me feel comfortable and relaxed walking around. There are not a lot of artists in Marquee like other locations because this is more of a showroom than a place for the artists to work at. They're selling beverages and snacks if you want a small bite. The interesting part is they have a full bar with great decorations, designs and seatings. If you want to take your drinks to wander around and look at art at the same time, you can! Marquee owns the bar so you can walk everywhere inside marque with a drink on your hand. I'd definitely get a drink at the bar if I had more time. Strongly recommend visiting and hanging out here.

Google
Such a cool spot for shopping and artists exhibiting their work. Each store was arranged beautifully. Good thing to do while the rain passed by. Also there was some alcoholic beverages for purchase

Google
This is definitely a must- visit art gallery any tourists should come check out when traveling here in Ashville (even you're not an artsy person). There are lots of booths displaying different amazing unique arts such as planting, jewelry, painting etc... Another noteworthy point about this big showroom is they have a indoor bar with plenty of seats along with relaxing music on. You can sit and enjoy your drink or you can sip it while walking around, exploring and appreciating these talented items. Really really love the vibes here !!

Google
Stumbled upon this place on a Sunday morning. We had so much fun walking around all the different booths promoting work from local artists. They also had a shop selling alcohol as well. We will definitely come back.

Google
Very cool spot, could even be a date spot. They sell drinks (cocktails, wine, beer) and light snacks including non alcoholic beverages. It’s dog friendly and several restrooms. Art is reasonably priced so you might take something cool home. Friendly staff. Kombucha too

Great collection of artists booths, and inspirational items. From paints, pottery, antiques, architectural salvage... and a bar to grab a beer or wine while you shop.

Yelp
The Marquee had a very elective collection of art to offer and also had wine & beer to enjoy while pursuing. The set up was a bit much... I get you want to get as much art as you can in the place, but to effectively see it all, you'd have to go in small circles around each area. If you go here, that explanation will make more sense. Some things I found to be a bit pricey, but that could just be me. Anywho, it was a fun experience and I saw something interesting items.

Yelp
I own a furniture store of 30 years and stayed at an airbnb nearby. Asked her where she got her beautiful doors from and she recommended this place. We get there 4:00 on Sunday excited to see what they have the hostess points to my girlfriend in a rude condescending voice singling her out saying "There is a sign right here saying no bags!!" Everyone drops their jaws in shock and I asked what she said and she repeats "The sign right there says no bags" this is as several people are carrying back packs and large purses! My girlfriend has a small Kavu back she uses as a purse and it wouldn't fit a $5 item to steal as the hostess was implying Shocked we just walked out without arguing with this girl that is probably on drugs and will never be back here again With a welcome like that we left embarrassed the horses chose to single us out instead of politely saying I'm so sorry please.....

Yelp
Marquee is a must visit in the River Arts District. Marquee is a market that has a ton of different art galleries within that showcase the artwork of local artists that you can purchase, as well as other goods and products. We visited Marquee while walking around the River Arts District and saw this gigantic building with a ton of different artwork inside. I love supporting local businesses and artists, and this place does just that, with plenty of area artwork and products for purchase. The artwork varies in medium, from paintings, to ceramics, to textiles, etc. There's something for everyone here. Inside the Marquee is also an area where you can kick back and have a drink as they have a small bar area where they sell and/or offer local liquors. Dogs are allowed inside and there are public restrooms. Marquee is a great place to see, shop and support!

Yelp
Marquee is a magical place. My husband and I are local and love visiting this place on a frequent basis. Everything about Marquee is extraordinary, from the carefully curated assembly of talented artists and events, the atmosphere, the setting, the ambiance and the professional and helpful staff. I took great exception to an unjustified and misleading one star review from "Sam D." regarding Marquee's policy regarding bags. Firstly, the policy is clearly and professionally posted at both entrances. Furthermore, complimentary lockers are provided for patrons. The assertion that the Marquee associate who engaged with this patron was "on drugs" is ludicrous, defamatory and absolutely unfounded. I have engaged with the wonderful people who work at Marquee since their opening. And I know them to be nothing less than kind, professional and honest people doing their very best to ensure the best experience for all who visit Marquee and for the artists who share their work here. If you are considering visiting Marquee, please don't let this unjustified bitter review keep you away. This place is amazing!

Yelp
Art gallery/market. Unassuming from the outside, full of fun things to wish over, marvel at, and buy. I found something for a friend who is (seriously) IMpossible to but for. And some cute glass pieces that sang to me. If you want to find something g u usual, unique, and/or odd - this is your place! Check out was easy, the staff was helpful, and there are items for every price point.

Yelp
Very cool spot with a mix of a peddlers mall with vintage finds and unique art from local artists. Be sure to make it to the very back where you'll find a bar to grab a drink while shopping and a craft beer store with Ana amazing selection of hard to find brews!

Yelp
Excellent in every way. Bright, clean, welcoming and helpful staff, huge and sells every type of art medium by local artists, and higher level antiques. Everything is tagged clearly, they wrap and ship with great care, and there are 2 clean restrooms at either end. Another very helpful convenience are large lockers at either end, so that you can set backpacks and other packages inside safely and use both hands to shop. If that all is not enough, there is a lounge area at one end where you can purchase for on or site local beers and wines, and also a coffee bar and dispensary across. Forget the Tobacco Barn and Restoration Station, or at least start here!

Yelp
I really need to come here more often. New exhibits and artists bringing fun. interesting. collectibles. Surprising location to purchase clothing.

Yelp
We were in the river arts district and it was recommended to us to stop by this location. It's a great location to spend some time in especially on a rainy, dreary day. They have a bar at the front that serves local siders, beers, and wines and you can grab a glass and wander around the hundreds of different artist stalls located within this warehouse. It's very eclectic with multiple different types of not only artwork, but consignment style styles as well too.

Yelp
Out of all the spots we checked out in RAD, Marquee was definitely where we spent the most time... and money! I know people say it all the time, but Marquee really has something for everyone. There are so many art vendor booths with everything from traditional paintings to hand blown glass. On top of that, you'll also find vintage goods, super cool furniture, and if none of that is your thing, you can grab a beer while you wait. We came back multiple times and still didn't see everything. Make sure to check prices on items too. While some favorites were out of my range, I had a great find on a vintage cooler that was a steal. This is a great spot to start your RAD journey because they have their own side parking lot and if you save it until the end, you likely won't have enough time to explore.

Yelp
If you're an art geek like me, you will absolutely love this newer addition to the River Arts District in Asheville! Located in a warehouse that has been transformed into a marketplace, the Marquee is a dream space for local vendors/artists to show off their wares, for art appreciation, and for those seeking unique items to purchase. Here you will find paintings, vintage decor, plants, jewelry, and more. There is even a cute little bar where you can take a wine/beer break while exploring. I wish we had something like this near where we live!

Yelp
By far the best art gallery I went to in Asheville. I HIGHLY recommend you come here!! They have a really cool bar inside with a lot or seating. Next to the bar there is a unique spot for a DJ to setup for special events. You can grab A drink and wonder the large space looking at all the great art. You can even take your drink out side if you would like some fresh air. This art galley has so many different things: panting, pottery, jewelry, plants, antiques, clothing, furniture and so much more. They have nice low music playing throughout the whole place. Its a very chill and relaxing vibe. I would come back for sure.

Yelp
Love this place. Located in River arts district. A unique art/ antique emporium. There's a cocktail /wine bar. Order a drink and shop away!!

Yelp
Wow what a great spot hidden in the River Arts district amongst the graffiti buildings and warehouses. This is a large building housing numerous artists making it an amazing collective of many different forms of mediums. There is a bar to grab a cocktail & a donut while you browse the beautiful artwork. Be prepared to hang out in here for hours! There is so much to check out!

Yelp
Took the road less traveled and sought this place off the highway. They delivered! Excellent service and friendly staff. Don't miss out.

Yelp
Versatile, something for everyone. Unique art and gifts; bar in the back is great( atmosphere is nice; vendors outside are also cool to visit.

Yelp
Very disappointed that the V Spot is no longer there. That was the main reason I ever went. It's my understanding that the landlords wanted them to sell non-vegan/veg products.... not sure why.

Douglas S.

Yelp
The best selection of art, crafts and antiques in Asheville. Nicely curated eclectic funk! Great people!

Gloria N.

Yelp
I enjoy trying upcoming new food choices, and was extremely disappointed to learn that "V Spot" no longer is in business at Marquee. My husband and I, new retirees, feel renewed energy and have heard a lot about the creative spirit that exists in Asheville, however, when we went to The Marquee, couldn't find anything other than standard American fare...all the typical stuff. Too bad The Marquee isn't more of a place to explore the "new and mysterious" and only experience the status quo. Viva La Creativity" that Asheville is (was) known for!

Julianne A.

Yelp
Cute but very expensive while visiting on a rainy day we were told to check it out but too expensive to buy anything

Lynn H.

Yelp
Recommended by my Airbnb host. Huge, airy space with very well curated art and antiques. It even has a bar and you can buy a handful of snacks there too. The whole district it's in is full of artist studios. Highly recommend spending the day exploring.

Trey m.

Yelp
Part of the riverfront arts district, the Marquee is what I hope an antique-art markets to be. The space is amazing and the vendors are well curated by a hands on owner and staff. Each vendor space looks like an art installation and there are no over crowed booths with Beanie Baby crap. Also, there is beer. Love this place.,

Wren H.

Yelp
I do not recommend and will never again go into Marquee. I bought a jacket, brought it home and tried it on with all the possible things I could wear it with. I realized that I would never wear it, and brought it back, first thing the next morning. This business will not give a refund!!!! So buyer beware. Unless you have never bought something that you changed your mind about. The next day
