Came here for the first time after hearing great things, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The food was outstanding. I had the chicken schnitzel. It was perfectly crunchy on the outside with juicy, tender chicken inside. The coleslaw was also excellent, none of that sickly heavy mayo, more like a fresh elevated take on sauerkraut.
For dessert, I had the sorbet, which was surprisingly creamy and delicious. It genuinely exceeded my expectations given how hit-or-miss sorbet can be. I also tried a non-alcoholic wine which hit the spot. It was not overly sweet or heavy, just really well balanced and had a sparkling pomegranate flavour.
The atmosphere was great too. It’s a very old pub with almost Victorian-era vibes with the candles and antique paintings. Service was excellent. Our waitress was friendly, prompt, and really knowledgeable about the menu. I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes.
