We had a very nice pub meal here. The dining room upstairs is a welcoming space with an open kitchen. Good acoustics made for a pleasant meal, even though the restaurant was busy. I recommend booking if possible as it is popular. Service was efficient and the staff seemed happy to be there. The menu is a good mix of pub favourites done well, catering to vegans, vegetarians, and meat-eaters alike.

Went for steak night with a group of 10. Service was quick and friendly. Food was amazing, great vegetarian options (zucchini salad was incredible). Everything was reasonably priced. Great atmosphere too.

Lots of stairs that made my knees creak, great beers on tap and a raspberry sour that was mwaah! We ate tasty cakes, paw paw salad, and rigatoni - all wonderful. The very hip crowd were friendly and forgiving of my old suburban self. A very pleasant afternoon.

Had a very tasty Christmas Eve lunch. Great food with nice service. The chips were amazeballs. We will be back.

Came here for the first time after hearing great things, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The food was outstanding. I had the chicken schnitzel. It was perfectly crunchy on the outside with juicy, tender chicken inside. The coleslaw was also excellent, none of that sickly heavy mayo, more like a fresh elevated take on sauerkraut. For dessert, I had the sorbet, which was surprisingly creamy and delicious. It genuinely exceeded my expectations given how hit-or-miss sorbet can be. I also tried a non-alcoholic wine which hit the spot. It was not overly sweet or heavy, just really well balanced and had a sparkling pomegranate flavour. The atmosphere was great too. It’s a very old pub with almost Victorian-era vibes with the candles and antique paintings. Service was excellent. Our waitress was friendly, prompt, and really knowledgeable about the menu. I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes.

Fantastic chill pub lunch in a quiet street near brunswick Street. Both the steak and schnitzel were excellent. Great quality and tender. Friendly staff. A banging menu pub clearly executed by a skilled chef. The bean side and chips was super tasty too. Melbourne at its best. Will be back for sure.

Amy was fantastic with handling my birthday event. The communication and coordination of the event was flawless, there were a few special request, which were taken care of. We all had a great night and really appreciate your help making it happen. Thanks Amy!

The chicken schnitzel was the most perfectly cooked, juicy, crispy and flavourul schnitzel I’ve ever had. the ambiance of the place was very warm and cozy from the lighting to the plates which gave grandma’s house vibe
