All I can say is wow!!!!! What an awesome show. If you're in San Fran only for 1 day, I still say this is a must to fit into your plans. Jay does a great job with getting the audience involved. Yes, there's some comedy, but the magic/mind tricks will absolutely blow your mind. I had to volunteer, as I'm always looking for the ear piece or stuff on stage to help the performers. I can say there was nothing, because I blind folded him and literally had me check his ears to prove he wasn't cheating.

Absolutely magical experience! We went to the Magic Show by Jay Alexander and were blown away. Before the show even started, he did some close-up magic which was super fun. The whole event felt very intimate and special — maybe 50–60 people in the room, so almost everyone got to participate. It’s definitely designed for adults (we went on a date night), though a few older kids were there too. Cozy, unique, and incredibly engaging. Highly recommend!

Okay, Jay seriously blew my mind! I had no idea what to expect other than magic? But his show is something unlike anything I’ve experienced. His combination of enchantment, mind tricks, and psychology had us guessing the whole night long — how did he do it?!! I still can’t stop thinking about it 🤯 Best of all, I really appreciated the intimacy of this experience. The venue is quaint and the size of the crowd was small which means he interacts with just about every group throughout the night, making it even more fun and memorable! Good: - We got a hummus plate and a ton of shoutouts for coming here on our anniversary - I loved the audience participation element of the experience - I was called in to help for 2 of the magic and one of it was mental - they guessed my high school - Really intimate venue and good ambiance Bad: - If you don't sit in the front row, I imagine some of the tricks are harder to see Overall I felt like this experience was so good and would recommend for other couples!

I've been meaning to write this review since September! There's something about a small theater and magic that can't be matched with an overcrowded venue. Jay captured our attention even pre-show by entertaining guests one on one in the lounge before the show where we shared apps and drinks. Then led the audience into an intimate magic experience because this room probably didn't fit more than 50 guests. There were a few bdays in the house and he made sure those guests and their friends all got to be a part of his creative magic show. I don't want to give too much away about his performance, but I'll just say there were plenty of "ooohs and awes" throughout the show. So if you want to experience a unique venue for a special occasion or just a fun night out- you are in for a treat with Jay's Magic experience! Thank you

Came for the magic. Honestly wouldn't stay for the food... Came in on April 20th for some classic fun. Jay greeted everyone in the lobby and after everyone arrived got us warmed up with one trick before moving into the theater. Food is served when doors open, an hour before showtime. I would recommend eating beforehand even though the theater is connected to a restaurant. We got a cup of lentil soup ($7) served with pita, and the lamb and chicken kebab ($30). My friend got a cocktail ($14). The soup was good but was served warm. The kebab had three pieces of meat and came with rice, babaganoush, and grilled veg. For being listed as a kebab plate and only having three tiny pieces on there felt like a rip off. It was well flavored but also felt cold. The show was absolutely smashing. Jay had exceeded my expectations of what a magic show could be. I absolutely loved hearing his story as well. The show will keep you on your toes and be highly entertaining the whole time. Would recommend for families and guests from out of town. Great experience for even date night. Hope to catch another show of Jay Alexander's soon!

What an incredibly fun and fascinating evening. Jay Alexander is entertaining, to say the least. His magic tricks were incredible and had the audience in "ah" over his magic. I called before buying.tickets at the door to see if the show would be appropriate for an 11 year old and was told "absolutely" and it surly was. The four adults and the 11 year old in our party are still talking about the evening/magic. The theatre is quaint and staff is very friendly and accommodating, including Jay Alexander himself who interacts with the audience/customers. Tons of fun- thanks for an entertaining evening.

I took my team here for our holiday dinner and it was amazing! Ambiance is amazing, great service from start to finish, food was delicious (I highly recommend the lamb kabob!) and show was amazing! A different kind of night out. We saw Jay Alexander's show of magic, comedy and mind tricks. Get there early! Once you're there you'll be seated in the Oasis Lounge for drinks and food that are available for purchase, until it's show time. Plus, while you wait you'll get some pre-show magic. It was a great show; it was fun, it was funny, interactive and a great alternative to the usual dinner and a movie or club hopping type of weekend. Usually in these type of shows there's no cameras allowed, but you can take pictures, not video unless he okays it. There's one part of the show where he will let you video. The parking situation is pretty much the same around San Francisco, you may get lucky and find some street parking, but there are parking areas close by if you don't.

Not going to lie. If anyone were to ask me if I like magic I'd probably make a face and quickly say no. Post the COVID era we've found ourselves going out a lot more and making new memories with friends new and old. The restaurants in our area have now started to feel old and repetitive. So we suggested to our double date friends we do something very different and also explore SF. I came across this place on Yelp (obvi) and was skeptical. How could there be over 1300 reviews with FIVE STARS?? We took a chance. We were more than pleasantly surprised and had the best night ever! Jay is a unique and special person. I need to see if he can come speak at our kids' school. What an inspiration! I got teary eyed at the end.

This is one of the most fun experiences I've had in a long time. Interactive, friendly for all audiences and very entertaining. Jay is an awesome and inspirational host, entertainer and magician. I'm glad we got a chance to come early and get settled in in the pre show waiting area with our drinks and apps. While there, we witnessed some cool and baffling card tricks. We were then led to our specific seats in the show room where the actual show took place. There were so many amazing tricks and several opportunities for the audience to get on stage to participate and assist. We were engaged and fascinated throughout the show which lasted about 45 mins - 1 hour. After the show, we had a chance to chat and take pictures with Jay. Everyone left super amazed and happy! Whether you're a tourist or local, I'd recommend this place to literally everyone. Some logistics tips: - come early to enjoy the pre show magic and food/drinks. Only drinks allowed in the main show room. - parking seems to be limited also it's the tenderloin - there's also a connected restaurant for dinner after the show!

It's in an intimate theater with about 40'ish seats, so everyone had a great view! It's obvious from the start of the show that Jay has a passion for his form of magic and being an entertainer. It's wildly entertaining, surprising, energetic, intriguing, thought-provoking, and downright FUN for families, couples, and friends. Found this gem on the Tix app and went to the show this weekend. The theater itself is lovely and intimate, with an exotic atmosphere and posters of famous mentalists from back in the day. We arrived about 40 minutes before the show and had a couple of cocktails and an appetizer. The hummus was perfect but the bread was a little hard. The drinks were tasty and well-balanced. Jay came around and introduced himself to everyone and did some card tricks, particularly for the kids, which was nice to see. He's very friendly and funny and made us feel at home. When showtime came, we were ushered into a small theater with a stage for the main performance. He explained that the show is interactive and it had the feeling of being at a house party with friends and friends of friends - very comfortable. Without getting into too much detail, his performance was amazing! Some things I could figure out but others I have absolutely no idea how he did it. At the end he told us his story, which a was heartwarming and inspiring. I'm definitely going back and can't recommend this more highly. It's a great show for adults and also for the whole family. Thank you Jay, and to the kind folks at the SF Magic Theater for an unforgettable night!

Jay Alexander's magic and mind tricks show is simply amazing. One after another, his acts blew us away and left us in a state of disbelief. With Jay's talent and charisma he could easily be a headliner attraction in Las Vegas or anywhere else, yet he chooses to perform in his own unique and intimate Marrakech theater in front of smaller audiences. He also personally engages with his guests both before and after the show which makes for an even more special experience. I highly recommend the Jay Alexander show for adult groups and families.

The most intimate magic show I've ever been to. There's maybe 50 seats. Nearly half the audience in some form became part of the show. It's kind of incredible Jay Alexander doesn't have a bigger venue but I honestly think that's just not his style and it suits him well. 4.9 stars on Yelp is a ridiculous almost unattainable rating. He gets this and deserves this because he's at the top of his game. I was with two very smart Stanford educated professionals, one who was intent on figuring out how how these tricks were done and he was basically stumped. Kudos for allowing photography. Get there early to see closeup magic.
