Such a good wholesome weekend vibe. Delicious fresh organic produce and that Irish Soda Bakery?! The oversized mixed berry scones are pretty bloody good with a cup of tea, when you get home! Highlight was the recycled treasure shop 🚲🔨🧸📻👍🏼

Lovely weekly market offering organic fruit and vegetables, along with a good range of food stalls. The market gets busy, but it still feels very relaxed.

One of my favourite markets in Sydney! A variety of food stalls, meat, fish, veggies and plenty of in season fresh fruit! Pet store and jewellery lots of coffee options and amazing fresh food from different cultures! I highly recommend Rita’s farm for fruits and veggies, Con has really good produce too For meats I love Gary the butcher and for fish right next to him! The people are all so lovely and you can find clothing shoes and many amazing second hand goodies including books! I’m here every Sunday! Worth the 45 minute travel 👏

Great little Sunday hangout for the Inner West foodies. Under some spectacular tree shade with narrow road space, there are plenty of fresh food and veggies stalls. Also bread and spice stalls but love the variety of hot food stalls that makes this a great spot to munch and feast at. It can get busy and the stalls snakes up the back of the carpark but they have plenty of space and young family friendly.

Great fruit and vege choices. And decently priced. The coffee guy up the main aisle has really good coffee. It rained while I was there, so this is the only annoying thing I experienced as there's not much cover.

Great range of food, everyone is super chilled. $3 parking but its pretty hectic! Highly recommend Brooklyn Bagel Boys! We got poppy seed + garlic scallion cream cheese! Mister Toastie was a great one too! Proper grilled cheeses! Natas were warm and flaky! Quite a pricey market but you are getting what you pay for!

Google
A fabulous farmers market on Sundays. There’s a large range of fresh organic fruit and vegetables, meat/poultry sellers, several bread and pastry options, a stall holder with a vast range of deli items. You can get coffee and breakfast. There’s a few lovely plant and flower stalls as well.

Gluten free at the market. Aracina 13th. Fully gluten free stand specialising in arancini but also making lasagna and gnocchi. Absolutely delicious, the ragu was stellar. Omg Doughnuts. Always a market favourite. GF and vegan. This stand makes them big and with loads of flavoured sugar. Tasteville Gluten free ready meals with an Indian theme. Acai bowls Gluten free and dairy free. Keski pan Latin American foods that are naturally gf, tamales, takitos and quesadillas. Feel Good Coffee Also got a delicious flat white at one of the stands. They use St Ali beans.

Yelp
Addison Road Centre is the country's largest not-for-profit community centre. It's host to a bunch of different groups (including Reverse Garbage), but I come here for the organic markets. Every Sunday from 8.30am to 3pm, the place is buzzing with stalls and shoppers. There's a bunch of food available for noshing right away (great smoothies, juices, coffees, cakes, wraps, spring rolls, etc) as well as a huge range of fruit and veg, dried pasta, cheese, wine, tapenades and more. If you're set on eating organic, look out for the yellow Certified Organic signs on the stalls, or ask the operators. If you keep walking towards the back, you'll also find a bunch of clothing, soaps, cards, antiques and enviro-friendly stalls too. There are a few tables scattered around and usually some musical entertainment, or keep walking to the end of the line and you'll find a grassy field to sit and guzzle your purchases. The 428 city bus stops right outside the font gate or there's plenty of free parking available in the surrounding streets.

Yelp
If you like bo-ho in the city then this is THE place to be. Organic Food Markets are located at The Addison Road Centre Marrickville and are on every Sunday rain, hail or shine. From the eclectic to the eccentric, from organic to conventional, eco-friendly, chai-tentingly chillaxing this market would have to be THE best Organic Market Sydney's Inner West around. This can be seen in the choice of foods/produce to specialty products is a true reflection on how diverse the population who shop here week-in week-out. Such is their devotion some will travel from as far as Blue Mountains simply to achieve their weekly Organic fix! Best bit being that they are on rail, hail or shine! This market has something for everyone including the kids:jumping castles, pony rides, babycino, eco friendly baby food and clothing and SO much more. The Raw and Vegan community are more than able to be satisfied at this market, as well as those with a sweet tooth! Could NOT recommend this market highly enough than already done! Do an online search for these markets and the number of blogs are a testament as to its love not just by the public but by the stallholders as well!

Yelp
Just go. Seriously. There is no better way to start a Sunday than to wander these markets, sipping on a coffee and tasting the delicious offerings. If you're hungry (i don't know many yelpers that aren't eaters...) there are plenty of options to start your Sunday right. I'm always drawn to the fritter house, but the lamb rolls and gozleme are also amazing. On and off there is an AMAZING raw and vegan cakes and sweets tent that sets up next to the earth bowl. YOU MUST TRY IT. Mind blowing. I've never been big on the shopping because I'm too busy stuffing my face, but you can pick up some second hand bargains up the back. Or ride a mini pony. I love these markets, and couldn't be happier that they're only down the road.

Yelp
The Chai stall and its blanketed lawn at the Marrickville markets is as close to a festival Chai tent as you'll find near the centre of Sydney. The same scent of cinnamon and cloves wafts around, accompanied by the sounds of harmonicas and banjos, and the same "no shoes" policy applies. Marrickville Markets channel the folk festival vibe once a week, as hundreds of people (both barefoot and shoo-ed) walk the stalls of the Addison Centre for organic fruit and veg, milk, cheeses, wines, breads, pastries, cupcakes, cookies and pies. There's also a small range of second hand clothes and bric-a-brac at Marrickville markets, but its the food and the chai that I keep coming for - and for my weekly dose of semi-festival fun.

Yelp
Trekked out here early on a Sunday from Bondi Beach on a recommendation from Flávio at Ampersand and it was def worth it!!! A wonderful community market with TONs of organic produce, food booths, live entertainment and vintage wares. Come with an empty stomach so you can sample as much as possible!! Shout out to the kind man at Byron Bay chopping boards, I it!!

Yelp
What a lovely sunday morning ritual. These markets are great for every kind of market fare: good hot food options, coffee stands (one at the end is less busy and same owners as the busy one near the entrance), fruit and veg vendors, nuts & grains, cheap flowers. I left feeling very satisfied from my meatball sub, and also very productive from having done my weekly shop.

Yelp
I've gone to this market about 6 times over the last 4 years. Every time I went it was to see if it had improved or changed in any substantial way. But nope...just as boring as the times before. Nothing outstanding going on here. Neither bo-ho or organic. The major thing this market has going for it, is that it's open on a Sunday and there are very few markets open in Sydney on a Sunday. We eat organic pretty much 80% of the time so we are always on the look out for organic produce. We specifically went to this market thinking it was organic sellers. Every time I've been only a very very very small handful of produce is organically grown. The last time I went only one store owner had organic veg, no one sold any organic fruit. DO NOT assume that because the organisers have used the word ORGANIC in their name that all the produce sold there is organic, because it's not. You need to ask each store owner if they are selling organic. Some have very small signs hidden from view that says CONVENTIONAL. Which they need to show by law. The vast majority of sellers here are conventional growers. They shouldn't be using the world organic in their name at all, it's very misleading and deceptive advertising. Having said that, we did find a lamb producer who sold salt bush fed lamb which was excellent, but alas he is no longer there. If you like picking through second hand stalls, trinkets, old clothing bin garments and junk and waiting half an hour in line for the one stall that has decent coffee, then this place is for you. But if you're looking for a good market, try Eveleigh or Bondi. And if you're ever in Hobart go to Salamanca market, they are brilliant.

Yelp
1) Thank God for a good food market in Sydney on a Sunday; what's up with all markets here being on Saturdays? 2) The vendors are friendly, most grow/sell their own stuff which is a rarity, and it's not too crowded. 3) The food all looks amazing, from the quinoa salad stand to the standard bread/cheese/organic meat, but if you're hungry get the lamb roll for $6 right when you first walk in. Spit roasted lamb, gravy, and choice of brown or white bread. Simple perfection.

Yelp
This place is super cool. I love random, interesting, fun bits so the hall at the Marrickville Markets had me frothing at the mouth. Old theater and stage sets, vintage clothing, furniture, materials, mannequins, sparkly things, dull things, metal whatevers, knickknacs and bric-a-brac. This place is like Disneyland. I had a few 'OMG' moments. I can easily spend a day sifting through items without getting bored though; perhaps this isn't up your alley. So treat yourself to a paper bag of organic mandarins, interesting wines, fresh cheeses and cute-as-hell cupcakes. Yes, you have to line up for coffee. Get over it. The coffee was good! And the cart was right next to a stunning singer keeping us entertained with her sweet melodies. She was so cute! So many taste testings that I actually skipped lunch. Never fear stall-owners for we took home 3 boxes of fresh goodies.

Yelp
Such a great market! I love that majority of the stalls are organic and straight from farmers. The carrots looked like a carrot and tasted like it too. I bought the fantastic yummy eggs too and amazing loaf of bread - gluten and yeast free. Lots of families and kids and some random music. You can come only even for fresh juice or catch up with a friend for a great lunch too. From now on one of my favorites spot on every Sunday.

Yelp
My favourite destination and the place i look forward to most on a Sunday morning. This place oozes a healthy and vibrant atmosphere and you feel great just by being at this awesome organic market. Everything about this place is amazing; the produce/ food is fresh and delicious, i mean, this is as real as it gets. No where else in Sydney compares to this Organic Market, it's the beez knees :) If you haven't already you must check these markets out, you won't regret it. This is the number one place for health nuts and if you're really passionate about what you put into your body... You ain't seen nothin yet, till you've been to the Marrickville Organic Food and Farmer's Markets.

Yelp
Excellent local produce and great prices. If you come here, come early or prepare to be disappointed. The crowds grow as the day progresses, so we find it best to get in early and then grab a coffee and sit down and enjoy the parade of people.

Yelp
Love the Marrickville markets. Normally ride here as it's not too bad a detour from the cycle track and parking is terrible anyways, so cycling is definitely the way to go. Love the range of food here and there the famous bacon and egg rolls which everyone needs to try. The place gets quite busy by noon with lots of people, kids and dogs, which adds to the atmosphere.

Yelp
This is a fantastic market! We try to do our weekly food shopping here, as it's no more expensive than Cole's/Woolworth's and feels so much better. A great array of vegetables, sausages, eggs, steaks, etc. are available. You can also pick up some herbs or houseplants. Finally, there are a bunch of options for eating breakfast/lunch while you're there: Mexican (well, they say it's Mexican), Dumplings, Smoothies, Egg + Bacon rolls, etc.

Yelp
Great markets! I love getting my inner city hipster on, riding my bike from home to the market, enjoying a free trade coffee and grabbing some organic fruit and veggies to take home in my backpack (no plastic bags for me!).
google avatar

Yelp
Its ok certainly everything is there even furniture etc but if your expecting food to be cheaper then at woolworths it isnt unless ofcouse your strictly organic then this is only place for miles that has it and nowhere is cheap for that as best i know

Yelp
We went to these markets for the first time last sunday in the pouring rain.... Loved it! Cant wait to go back on a sunny dry day. There were more real organic growers/stalls than i expected, after reading a review that claimed these markets are not organic etc. The food was great.... The people were very friendly and helpful with all of my questions. My husband even found real black pudding from a scottish guy selling meats. I will certainly be going back to these markets. Nice real place to go.
