Marriott Downtown at CF Toronto Eaton Centre

I was expecting the usual US Marriott kind of experience, but the Marriott Downtown Toronto is a true gem. It not only exceeded our expectations but also exceeded any Marriott experience in North America I encountered throughout my 35+ years of travelling. Any member of the staff was polite, friendly, and customer focused. Zero arrogance, zero attitude, simply 'what can we do for you'. The staff is the true asset of this hotel. Everyone we encountered was phenomenal. Breakfast is awesome with plenty of selection, including an egg station for customized warm dishes. Location is as central as it can be. We loved our stay and can highly recommend this Hotel

We went to the hotel for 2 nights at concierge level. We were taking our daughter to 2 plays and we were very happy with our stay. I contacted the hotel directly ahead of time and were given everything we asked for. (The Marriott reservation agent # said that the pullout wasn't a real bed and that was false.) The hotel is very central and we walked pretty much everywhere. The beds, and sofa bed were both comfortable and we we were really happy that we chose to go with the lounge service. Breakfast was great and the snacks and drinks very helpful and delicious. Its Toronto so its expensive, but based on the other hotels we looked at, we would definitely stay here again.

It’s not easy to give a 5-star rating after you arrive at the hotel and you find out your room isn’t ready and have spend the first night at an alternate hotel. However, the Marriott @Eaton Centre did an amazing job of arranging transport to a very nearby Sheraton hotel and booking a room for my first night, at no charge. And when I returned to the Marriott for the remaining nights, to my surprise they upgraded me to the Presidential Suite. The staff was so warm, apologetic, and attentive to the highest level. The rooms, the facilities, the food, and location were perfect. Even before my stay, the Marriott hotels were my preference; after this, Marriott hotels are definitely my first choice.

This should be the model Marriott. Lounge is open 7 days a week, which makes this Marriott more unique than others that only opens on week days. Staffs are super friendly, easy to self park, bed is a little on a firm side but that's a personal preference. I would stay here again, easy to walk to many restaurants and local attractions.

We have stayed here on a few times because we love the location and are Marriott members so we like the perks. Super close to Massey Hall (& many more theatres too). The hotel room itself was clean, no complaints but I had to laugh that the hotel room art remains the same after all these years .. which isn't a complaint but just weird. (Come to think of it, I don't changing up my art work so ...) The front desk staff were phenomenal. So kind and professional. Made a call to ask a question of front desk and their phone manners were just as admirable as their in person greetings. It was the end of March break so it was pretty busy in the VIP Lounge. Typically we have found in many Marriott's the Lounge has been "the escape from the crowds" so that was a little upsetting to have snacks picked over, not replenished and the volume of everyone there made it less of an escape ... The elevators are super fast. Parking is close. And there is a lovely scent consistent in all public places that had me looking for the source. Thanks for another memorable stay. See you again.

We have stayed in a couple of different hotels in Toronto over the past two years, and this one is by far the best. The location is great, right next to Eaton Center. There are many good restaurants nearby, and it is within walking distance to Toronto Symphony Hall, the Opera House, and the University of Toronto.||As Gold members, we received complimentary breakfast in the lounge, which included a variety of hot foods and even an omelet station. They offer drinks all day long and desserts and snacks in the afternoon. The swimming pool is fairly small, but the gym room is nice. ||We appreciated the excellent service and amenities and will definitely be returning in the future.

We enjoyed a nice getaway at the Marriott Toronto Downtown. The hotel is modern and conveniently-located—-a short walking distance to shopping and restaurants. ||The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff are friendly. Andriene in the restaurant is lovely, and greeted us with warmth each morning. Constance, one of the managers, is wonderful. When we presented her with a mix-up regarding the Lounge, Constance quickly and professionally addressed it, coming up with a solution that made us feel valued and understood. ||We will return because of the comfortable rooms, convenient location, and excellent customer service from Constance, Andriene, and the rest of the team. Good location, helpful and professional staff. Lounge is similar to other Marriott hotels, we found evening snacks to be a bit sparse and timeframe a bit limited (compared to other Marriotts). Lounge breakfast is comparable. ||We would have liked to see some 2-queen room options - most of the more recently renovated Marriott properties have this configuration now. This property only has rooms with two double beds or a king. We are a family of three - two adults and a tween. Two doubles doesn’t really cut it for us anymore, and I imagine this would be the case for many families. The bulky sofa-type thing in most of the rooms doesn’t provide much support, whether you’re sitting on it and awkwardly trying to eat a room service meal, or using it as another bed for a child or small adult. Then there’s a large, bulky round coffee table - not quite table height but not a traditional coffee table height either. And there is still a large desk with large tv on top jutting out into the room and taking up most of one wall. More wasted space. Rooms at this property need to be reimagined.
