Hotel is at a great location within half an hour walking distance from many tourist attractions. It's near PATH access points so you can walk to and from the Union Station out of the elements in the comfort of A/C. Room is clean and comfortable but more hooks for towels would be great. Shower is equipped with both overhead and handheld shower heads. Mattress and pillow firmness are just right for Mrs. Goldilocks. Swimming pool is decently sized for play but small for serious swimming. Hot tub has fairly strong but silent jets due to no aeration. Gym is well equipped. Impressive breakfast food items. Elite member lounge is available for breakfast and evening enjoyment. Staff is pleasant and helpful. Overall our stay was wonderful, and we definitely recommend it.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to the Eaton Centre, with tons of restaurants and shopping options nearby. It made exploring the city so easy and convenient. The hotel itself was very clean and well-maintained. I especially enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi, which were both clean and relaxing. The gym was also well-equipped, which was a nice bonus. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay—really made me feel welcome. My room was quiet and comfortable, perfect for unwinding after a day out in the city. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in the heart of the city!

I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times over the years for various work trips. I’m generally always satisfied with it and this time was no different. It’s a busy hotel and I found my floor was loud at night but I also didn’t help myself by not packing my earplugs. The hotel has some good city views on the higher floors. The gym is also decent. The location is convenient being right next to the Eaton Centre and close to many eateries and cafes, etc.

Lily at the front desk was incredible — she made check-in smooth and effortless, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Jessa was also truly amazing. She was so sweet with my sister’s baby, thoughtful and personable, and her kindness really stood out. Both Lily and Jessa turned our stay into such a warm and memorable experience.

Stayed a couple nights due to a medical appointment nearby and we were coming from out of town.|Hotel is very nice. Room was clean. Quiet. Shower had nice toiletries. Very convenient location as well. |All very pricey though. I guess that's the market nowadays. Rooms have doubled in price or more since covid. We added the lounge access which provided us with a nice morning breakfast and snacks throughout our stay.

Google
The rooms are nice and the breakfast is good. Abdul is also wonderful on the coffee responsibilities. But the dinner food is pretty bad. I ordered a pizza and I'd venture that a randomly selected frozen pizza from a standard supermarket is higher quality. Half the ingredients were added raw, after baking. Give the employees some guidance! They're capable and it's just a management issue.

Google
You really cannot beat the location of this hotel. It is just footsteps from the Eaton Centre mall and an easy walk to many of the tourist sites in Toronto. The staff is well-trained and friendly.|Trios Bistro serves breakfast every day (not inexpensive, but a nice buffet) and is open for lunch and dinner. Rooms are large; we requested a quiet room and had an end-of-the-hallway room that was super quiet. Three great nights at the Marriott.|Parking is not cheap, but there are many garages available on SpotHero nearby for much less.

We stayed at the Marriott for 3 nights on vacation. The location is excellent. The room was very clean, extra towels were provided. Our maid was Oksana. She is friendly and did impeccable work. The next time our family visits Toronto, we will definitely stay at the Marriott.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here with our adult (older teens) kids for four nights. We had the best time. The hotel was clean, the staff was kind and the club was amazing. The sweet lady who ran the omelet station was a gem and Ralph, who worked at the restaurant, was the best. We all need a Ralph in our life. We have the best memories of that trip and so many of them revolve around the hotel.

Yelp
This hotel is centrally located to several must-see destinations, and within a comfortable walking distance. I stayed here for 4 nights in October and had a pleasant experience. The front desk and restaurant staff were courteous and polite. I also enjoyed the hotel restaurant and bar - perfect way to start and/or end your day. Overall solid experience, worth the stay for short trips - business or personal.

Yelp
We stayed here for 3 nights during our Labor Day 2024 weekend trip in Toronto. Since we had luggage we took a short uber ride from the train station to the hotel. With Marriott platinum status our stay included breakfast and lounge access. Note that the croissants inside the lounge are better than the ones outside at the breakfast buffet. We had a beautiful corner room with big windows and a slight view of the Toronto sign at Phillips Square. We did not require the use of the housekeeping service during our stay. The king size bed was comfortable and there were plenty of towels in our room. The front desk also set us up with a private taxi to the airport on the last day. This Marriot is a wonderful location to stay in the heart of Toronto.

Yelp
Renovated but lacking. Friendly staff. This marriott is fine for a quick work trip (think 1-2 nights) but there are better properties available within a similar price point in the downtown area.

Yelp
The service, attitude and breakfast buffet makes this a 5 star hotel. We spent a week here and had access to the Club lounge, which we partook of during the evening. Club level members order breakfast from the buffet or cooked to order eggs, and ten take into the lounge, or up to your room.

Yelp
One of the better Marriotts we've stayed at. As we were in Toronto for a concert at the arena, and this hotel is literally in the arena, it was perfect. We opted to use valet parking which was $50 a day (self park was $40 a day). We never waited more than 10 minutes for our car. We had a concierge access room. Check in was easy. There is a sports grill (didn't try) and a Starbucks on property. There are many spots to eat nearby and it's an easy walk to the China town area as well. Our room was on the 11th floor which is a concierge level and it was generally quiet. Bed was extremely comfortable and no complaints! There is a gym and pool in the basement. Which you have to walk through the lobby to access. Also , of note, your key card is needed to operate the elevator as well as get to the pool and gym areas. The pool/ hot tub is not only in the basement but there are a set of tiled stairs going to and from the pool area from the gym. Why they wouldn't switch this out for something with grip... I don't know. It also can feel a bit creepy down there. The pool felt clean and well maintained but the tile and grout could use an update. The gym area was clean and the equipment looked well maintained. I ended up not utilizing the gym this trip. Concierge lounge: they offer breakfast to those with access daily and a light dinner meal Sunday through Friday evening I think. You can also get various drinks (water, soda) from mini coolers during the day. The lounge staff was friendly and they were checking people in to make sure you had the correct access. Breakfast typically included eggs, bacon or sausage and assorted fruits. Plus coffee, espresso maker, cereal, etc. Dinner options varied but we're all pretty good. There was also an honor bar with wine and various alcohol options that was self-serve. You do pay a price to be in the city center especially during an event at the stadium but it was great to be right there.

Yelp
Your standard big city hotel. Great location near Toronto City Hall and Eaton Centre. Well taken care of and I agree with a previous poster that noted the staff was more impressive than some Marriott counterparts in the U.S. Hotel is obviously a four star setting, but gets the five star Yelp rating.

Yelp
This hotel is in need of an update. Staff not overly friendly. The price was good. First time at a Courtyard.

Yelp
It's been several years since my last stay at this hotel and so much has changed, including a pandemic. Unfortunately my experience this time around has been less than stellar. The staff at the reception desk and the luggage handlers were true professionals, but the rest of my stay was definitely sub-par. My room was outdated and when I was making room on the desk to connect my laptop, a lot of dust flew all around me at the point that the tray holding the water glasses was covered in it. The bathtub had a lot of small hair (from a razor?) attached to the tiles. I had dinner in my room the first night of my stay and discarded the boxes in the trash bin, which was overflowing at the point that I had to put the glass bottles on the floor. When I left in the morning to attend a meeting, I removed the "do not disturb" sign and left my used bath towels on the floor so that my room could be made and the towels could be replaced. When I came back, only the bed had been made but the pile of trash was still there and even though the bathroom had been cleaned, they forgot to leave fresh towels. I tried to have dinner at the restaurant downstairs but they must be so short-staffed that, after waiting for several minutes without anyone showing up to acknowledge me, I just decided to leave. I paid a premium price for this hotel hoping to have a relaxing experience and felty a bit left down. I will not be back.

Yelp
We stayed here for 4 nights, 5 days for the NHL all-star weekend. We had a nice stay. Conveniently located right next to the mall, and close to tremendous dining and experiences. About 1 miles from Scotiabank arena. The staff at the breakfast area were extremely accommodating and the buffet was really nice. However, if you bring any outside food in, you must eat in your room because other areas in the lobby are not permitted. This seems a little crazy for a hotel. Overall a great stay!

Yelp
I have a lot of mixed feelings about this hotel. The staff was always happy and willing to help. They were the best part of the trip. That being said the hotel itself felt very outdated, little things like not having a coffee cart in the lobby (which most hotels have) and parking issues (cards not working each day, being charged incorrectly, miscommunication) really brought this hotel down. The location itself is great right next to the mall and centrally located. For a Marriott we are used to nicer amenities, us going out for coffee each morning would've justified buying a room at a more expensive hotel. There was onsite parking which was very convenient but the cards didn't work each day. We had to keep calling getting new keys etc which took up extra time in the mornings before I left for my job. After I came back home I was incorrectly charged for parking which is a nuisance on a company card but when I called, they were happy to help. Updating the hotel and doing a little something nice for the guests would go a long way here.

Yelp
We didn't stay here but this place is super, super close to the 3D Toronto sign in the square. Also close to the underground walkway entrance for when actual winter comes through!

Yelp
Staff was so amazing - so accommodating- we highly recommend this hotel! Everything we needed from dinner, to trains, taxis, early check ins Al were yes yes yes! Clean and well kept property!

Yelp
You can't go wrong with this downtown Toronto hotel. The property is next to the Eaton Center and is close to subway stations and tourist attractions. A large hotel with nice views of downtown. The upgraded room was very spacious with a separate living and bedroom. The lobby lounge offers complimentary breakfast with an exclusive area for Bonvoy members. Self parking or valet parking is on charge on a per day basis. This is a perfect hotel if you want to stay in the heart of Toronto with lots of shopping and tourist activities around. You will pay premium rates for the downtown location. Will I return? : Absolutely!

Yelp
What an amazing experience at this Marriott Downtown CF! My daughter and I had a little weekend getaway in Toronto and I chose this hotel for the location and the club lounge access...WELL worth it! The club lounge and the staff was amazing and very helpful and personable. They gave us some great recommendations for local restaurants as well. The all day snacks came in VERY handy and the little reception in the evening was very fun! You do have to pay for cocktails, but they have some yummy snacks and appetizers. The breakfast is a buffet and delicious as well! The staff at the hotel overall was amazing and professional, great hospitality! The workout room was great and plenty of equipment. The pool was a bit on the smaller size but they had a hot tub as well. The hotel is RIGHT behind the mall and also a short cab ride to pretty much anywhere in the downtown area. We had such a great experience at this hotel and will be returning again next year!

Yelp
Great location. Public transit is within walking distance (some are walkable too). Being next to Eaton center makes shopping really convenient too. Room is decent size though there isn't much of a view from the room we stayed.

Yelp
This was our first vacation since Jan 2020 due to covid restrictions. We had an excellent time at this property. Staff was super friendly and helpful in every way possible. Charles at the front desk was super efficient at helping us with an upgrade to a beautiful room overlooking onto a historic cathedral. Anna in concierge was very hospitable and attentive to everyone's needs. Adrienne was making our eggs at the omelette station during breakfast. She was fast at getting the cooked just right with a smile. We really looked forward to seeing her every morning. The restaurant had really delicious food served hot and fresh. Wait staff was very attentive. We left a bag of mall purchases in the lobby when we left and a nice Loss prevention employee found it and took all our calls in regards to getting it sent to us. He was very detailed in explaining how it worked and the expense. We ended up not getting it sent to us due to international FedEx fees but the fact he was just a phone call away and picked up the calls every time vs voice mail was very much appreciated. This property is excellent in all regards. Cleanliness, excellent and polite staff, ease and safeness of parking, food choices and conveniences are all 10!

Yelp
Location Location Location Walking distance to most downtown attractions. Right next to Dundas Station, Toronto Coach Station and Within walking distance to Union Station. Room though dated but was well appointed and clean. We were even able to checked in early around 11:30 am with our room ready! Thanks for making my staycation so much fun! Love the fruit infused water available at the lobby during the day. It was so refreshing after hours of walking in the hot summer sun!

Yelp
Very nice hotel with excellent service and very quiet! Our room was nicely appointed and spacious and being able to skip housekeeping was a plus (we were only there two nights and I like to sleep in). I've stayed at very aggressive hotels calling and knocking, even bothering my spouse as to my well being (nice , but NO). Great lounge/restaurant with bar and prices are reasonable. Will definitely stay here on future trips to Toronto!

Yelp
5 stars all around. This is a perfect hotel for guests looking to stay right in the heart of toronto where there's lots of restaurants, food trucks, hot-dog stands :) main attractions and shopping mall all within a walking distance. CN Tower, Skydome, Eaton Center Shopping, Royal Ontario Museum, Ripley's Aquarium of Canada, Rogers Centre, Art Gallery of Ontario, Entertainment District, Toronto Zoo, Toronto Island's and so much more!! I just discovered this hotel and i have stayed at this hotel a total of 3 times; Would i recommend and book my stay again in the near future? YES YES YES :) I highly recommend to everyone. -nightly rates are very reasonable -location is key We all know downtown can be difficult to find parking and when we do we pay heavy fees, another amazing thing this hotel offers is FREE PARKING. The Marriott staff excel in the customer service department, they always make me feel so welcomed and never forget to greet you and as for the housekeeper's i am a very picky person on cleanliness and i have zero complaints 5 stars all around very clean rooms. During my first stay of discovering this amazing hotel i was assigned the handicap room and with all honesty it was one of my favorite rooms. Front door to your suite automatically opens and closes, it had a very spacious bathroom and electric curtains that open and closed on its own, great view of the church and a good path to walk in the evening; now that its Christmas season. My husband and I will always book with this Marriott hotel over any other hotel in the area. Thank you Marriott :)

Yelp
What a great place to stay!..The service was fantastic and the people really make you feel special..This is a very clean and spacious hotel..Will definitely be back..So we'll located. Next to Famous Eaton Centre..

Yelp
Another wonderful Marriott experience! The location of this hotel is perfect with simple walking to Eaton Centre/Shopping and tons of restaurants. We easily used Uber for transportation to some events, so I can't speak to public transportation in the area. Approx $12 Canadian Uber ride to Budweiser stage events. Recent renovations at the hotel appear complete and overall very clean and on trend. We checked in via mobile app and were notified when the room was ready. They had given us an upgrade d/t platinum status and it was a beautiful corner room with view of the city. The room is large with beautiful bathroom shower - perfect water pressure. The bed was super comfortable with many pillows. Air conditioner worked well and the room was overall very comfortable. USB charging ports on bedside tables, also a nice touch. FYI - The rooms don't include a fridge or microwave. Self parking was easy in underground garage with entrance clearly marked next to hotel. Pricing expected for the area. There are no obvious signs that say this and I was a little freaked out initially so I wanted to share - When you drive down the parking garage ramp the large metal door opens automatically as you approach it (you will know what I mean when you see it). Simple elevator in the very clean parking garage takes you to the hotel lobby. We had access to the concierge lounge which is usually open during the week for evening snacks, reduced price alcoholic drinks and morning breakfast options. The lounge was open special the weekend we were there due to "high occupancy" we were told. Gold/Platinum status customers use your room key to open the door. The lounge is located just to the left of the bistro in the lobby. The bistro past the lobby has a breakfast buffet which had some excellent coffee, pastries, hot items such as sausage, eggs, omelet station, waffles with toppings and healthier options such as fruit, yogurt and oatmeal. The buffet was included for Gold/Platinum, but we had to get our food at the buffet then eat it in the concierge lounge. They have a very small pool and hot tub area that looked clean but dated. The gym was nice/decent size. Overall a simple, cozy and convenient location, which I would highly recommend.

Yelp
The women's washroom in the lobby needs a serious makeover. It doesn't suit the image of the Marriot Hotel (sorry!) Bedroom was comfy and cozy, but the remote control for the TV and clock were nowhere to be found. Lol I was part of the jury, perhaps that was the reason. Lol Loved the guys at the omelette station! They were bright and cheery, and made waking up early morning a whole lot easier. Their omelettes were on point as well. The waiter for dinner was also extremely knowledgeable and personable. Forgot his name, but he will correct you if you say it wrong. LOL

Yelp
Honestly Marriotts in the US could stand to learn a thing or two from their Canadian counterparts as the staff and service here blew us away Room was nice, modern and clean and kept clean every day! When we asked for more towels on day one as we had our family with us; extra towels were left every day thereafter without us needing to request. We left a tip each day and were greeted with handwritten notes just thanking us from Gina who was also so pleasant each day. The concierge lounge was amazing - the staff once again so friendly and nice and immediately recognized us each day, knew our kids names and remembered our coffee orders and had them ready to go!! For breakfast you simply go to the paid area and can have fresh fruit , omelette cooked to order , all kinds of hot and cold items and the oatmeal cane with a bunch of healthy options like chia and flax seed. I have to mention Abdul who was the nicest person ever - he custom-made coffee each day as well as to go cups to keep us warm and was just a pleasure to talk to!! Really nice guy The hotel was central to everything, quiet, comfortable and again the staff were just the nicest . As a special touch I cane back on the day of my birthday to find another handwritten note and a tray of cheese , wine and fruit. A lovely hotel with just wonderful staff; an experience I rarely get in Marriot in the US

Yelp
The staff is rude and lacks empathy. I wouldn't recommend this particular property if this is your first time visiting Toronto. This was a vey bad customer service experience. The Intercontinental downtown Toronto is a much better place to stay.
google avatar

Latrese P.

Yelp
I stayed 3 nights for my birthday weekend. I received a warm welcome, check in/out was smooth, digital key is a great option, it's in a nice location - near transportation even though I opted to either walk or take an Uber, bed was comfy, pillows were ok, room is spacious and was nice overall. I would definitely book again if ever in Toronto.

Pingwei C.

Yelp
Rude services especially the service desk manager. We used corporate rate to check in but was denied check in as we failed to bring proof even though I have been a Marriott platinum member for like twenty years! Worst part was, as we turned our back to find another hotel to stay, he bad mouth us directly to our back saying something "she was crazy " to his staff. Never imagined Marriot now has to hire service managers who is so rude and I would say, without even the basic humanity or courtesy! I am speechless! This guy only deserve one treatment: be fired on site ... otherwise I cannot imagine how many more customers, especially the long time loyal members of Bon Voyey customers will be subject to his rudeness and bad treatment!
google avatar

Yelp
Location, location, location! For all you shopaholics, this Marriott def has the ideal location. It's situated literally at Eaton Centre. But it's not only its proximity to Eaton Centre for why I would recommend this place to visitors to TO... it's also located veryyyy close to tons of restaurants. ANDDD the TTC is just a few steps away. The staff at this location are also very friendly, especially the porters! Fyi, there are apples located at the front desk in case you want a midnight snack haha

Yelp
Hands down, THE BEST Marriott I've stayed over the past 12 years!! (For reference, I'm a Lifetime Titanium Elite member so I've stayed at a LOT of Marriott properties). What sets this hotel apart is the staff. Many Marriott hotels have beautiful rooms, great views, and even nice restaurants but the service and "meh, I could care less" attitude of the staff quickly turn what could be a "10" (perfect rating) hotel into a "6" or "7." This property has had staff that have been with the property for over 20 years!! These people truly care about their customers. From Abdul in the Trios restaurant (he makes THE BEST lattes, remembers your order even if you only come to the hotel a few times a year), Ana in the Concierge Lounge (the sweetest lady ever), to the front desk staff (Lily took care of me on my most recent stay), MaryVic (server in the Trios hotel - super sweet!), David (another server - great service!), this hotel is a home away from home for me. My most recent stay (Sep 2021) was my first stay since Dec 2019 (before COVID). I was thrilled to see all the familiar faces return to work and be so thankful for to be back. You can't teach people how to be genuinely nice and care for their customers. As a market research professional and someone who works in the Customer Experience (CX) industry, I am just blown away by the CX at this hotel. It is second to none. As for what you would hope to get in a great hotel, you will find it here - spacious rooms, comfortable beds, luxurious bathrooms, streaming TV service, healthy and tasty breakfast options, huge gym with everything you need and of course, location, location, location - it's near everything! The hotel went above and beyond with cleaning and COVID precautions so I felt totally safe. Also, I've found during COVID that some Marriott properties are using COVID as an excuse. They've closed their Concierge Lounges and are offering Elite members a $10 breakfast voucher. We all know that $10 doesn't cover breakfast at a nice hotel. The Marriott Eaton Centre doesn't "nickel and dime" their Elite guests - breakfast was totally free, no questions asked. This property is a bit pricier than some other nearby options but you truly get what you pay for. I highly recommend this hotel!!

Yelp
My dad is an Elite Platinum member so he booked my boyfriend & I a room for the weekend. Front desk would not allow me to get breakfast coupons since my dad was not here, even though I have stayed at MANY other Marriott properties with no problem before. We then go to the restaurant attached to the hotel for a drink. Waiter was incredibly rude & gave us the check as soon as we got our drinks. Did not speak to us at all. The following night we ordered a blanket.. never got it. I have stayed in many many hotels & have never had this bad of experience before at a Marriott. Two positives is that it is close to the mall & the cleaning staff was very very nice.

Yelp
I have never had a bad experience at this hotel and all of my stays have been excellent! The rooms are clean and well-kept, the location is great and the prices are comparable to other hotels in the area. The staff are also extremely friendly and accommodating. During our first stay, the parking garage elevator was broken so we were given valet parking free of charge. Upon arrival during our current stay, the concierge actually recommended a way for us to save money on parking in the city which was really awesome of him (thanks Andrew!). Marriott is definitely my top choice for hotels, since I've never had issues with them and their hotels are always very nice. I recommend getting a free rewards account before booking though, to start collecting points and get perks like free wifi!

Yelp
Great hotel with an excellent location! Walking distance to almost anything. We ate breakfast there every day because it really was sooo good! The frittata excellent, pancakes to die for, fruit always fresh, everything was great even the breakfast buffet. All the staff was great but an extra special shout out to Lorenz - he could head up the concierge at the finest of hotels. He really knows the area, had so many great suggestions from dinner to activities even for kids.

Karen E. T.

Yelp
Stayed in April 2022, first time guest at this property, I was impressed. A former resident of Toronto, I know the area well, the property is very clean, staff greet you, just enough interaction, we felt safe (you need to have a room key to use elevators) ate the buffet breakfast twice, ample offerings. Granddaughter went for happy hour, said the drinks were great as was the service. We rented a car, used the parking garage, easy to navigate and ample spots to choose from. Easy to turn onto Bay south to get on the Gardner Expressway. We go back to the city often so we are happy to say this will be our go to property to stay at. Good job staff & management!

Yelp
Absolutely loved my experience at this Marriott. I was on the third floor corner suit facing North/West. The room was clean and comfortable to sleep in. The washroom was very clean and the shower worked wonderfully. The scent of the soaps were tangerine and were perfectly balanced and scented. The room had a tv, a desk, coffee maker, two single sofas, a queen size bed, closet, and safe. I didn't order room service, but i did dine at the restaurant. The meal was well prepared and the service was great. The ambiance of the restaurant is unique and wonderful at night. In the morning i had breakfast at the same restaurant and also had a good experience. My favourite food item was the bacon infused with maple syrup- uniquely Canadian flavour.

Yelp
There are a number of amazing restaurants within a 5 or 10 minute walk from the front door of this hotel (which is why I keep staying here)! The hotel has views of an old church and on the other side has a view of the new city hall which is next to a cute ice skating rink. The lounge has evening snacks and a bar where you pay for your own drinks. I would like to see more variety than one hot item and cheese & crackers each night in their lounge...They have a couple canadian beers too! The staff is great too, always helpful!

Yelp
Stayed for 2 nights on a Friday and Saturday for a wedding which was also held in this hotel. The location is awesome! It's walking distance to many eateries and shops - most importantly, there is an exit from this hotel that leads you steps away to the Eaton Centre (mall)! This door is located on the left of the concierge desk. Walk out thru the front entrance, turn right to walk towards Dundas street, make a right for mini-Times Square, or make a left for even more restaurants! This is definitely a prime location. The room was nice and clean. Nothing fancy, nothing terrible, just fine! I didn't think it looked old. Our room had 2 double beds. Our bathroom didn't have a vent fan, so it will easily get steamy during a warm shower. There was a full size body mirror in the closet as well as iron and board. Hair dryer in the bathroom. No fridge. The safe didn't work for us, but it's in one of the drawers. Coffee maker with coffee, cups, and tea provided. Since the wedding party was also staying here, we were able to visit one of the suites and the presidential suite. I can't remember if the bride and groom got those rooms as part of a package or as a freebie. The presidential suite was like an apartment with a separate bedroom, huge dining table, living room, and kitchen. The smaller suite had one of those beds that come out of the wall, a dining table, and a small kitchen area. That suite also connected to 2 of the basic rooms (2 double bed room). The lobby is cozy and spacious. It served as our meet up spot since a lot of family members were staying at the hotel too. There is lemon and cucumber water provided. I LOVED that the lobby restrooms - or should I say, washrooms - provided toilet seat covers! That was the one and only place that I visited in Toronto that provided toilet seat covers!! =D We never ordered any food from the hotel (except for the dishes served in the ballroom for the wedding which was tasty!) - but there's a whole food court with waaaayyyy too many options at Eaton Centre, there's a Denny's around the corner as well as Bare Burger and boba/bubble tea shops. I'm unsure of how much parking is and unsure of the room rate. We only encountered friendly and accommodating staff throughout our stay. =]

Yelp
Albert, Carlos and the rest of the staff here are second to none. They define fantastic customer service. The location is great and the hotel is well maintained. I would highly recommend staying here.

Yelp
I like this Marriott. This was our first time staying at this hotel and it did not disappoint. The service was good and the rooms were nice. We had a beautiful view of the city on the 7th floor. Because we arrived on a Saturday and the concierge lounge was closed, they offered us free breakfast on Sunday. The hotel is within walking distance from the water front to the south and the University of Toronto to the North. Also close to hundreds of restaurants and within one block from the metro. We'll likely be back.

Yelp
Marriott is my favorite hotel. I always check their availability first above everyone else because I find that their prices are reasonable enough that it won't bust your budget and you are guarantee to have a pleasant stay... whether it's the customer service or accommodation itself. I came here with my parents. We were on a marathon tour along the east coast from Buffalo, NY to Niagara Falls, CAN to Toronto, CAN. We stayed at Marriott in each cities and by far this is the best Marriott during our trip. It was super nice that my mom was worried there was a mistake on our daily charge. In the room there was a note of $500/day rate for damages and my mom was about to flip. The hotel is located within walking distance to the Eaton centre and the bus terminal. It took a few hops and a skip but it is also not far down from Chinatown. This is important as there's hardly any places to eat at night. When we arrived the lobby exuded a nice fragrance well-designed with a mix of red and yellow colors. It was designed for efficiency. The designer walls behind the CSR are actually storages and cabinets. It is also furnished with very nice, big, and comfortable couches. The hotel lobby offers free internet service for the public so I saw a few kids would hang out until late night. The customer service was also excellent. We arrived hours before the check in time from a long bus ride from Niagara Falls.... and we were so tired. They allowed us to check in early at no extra charge. The room has the same quality as all Marriott hotels so we were very happy. I believe that this room offers free internet service at the time. If you exit from the side of the hotel - it opens to the Eaton Centre directly. We came during the Canada Independence day so the streets were packed and there were vendors all around. It was very festive. So, it helps to have such convenience. The customer service extended to the time we had to leave. Our bus was leaving during red-eye and they offered a free stay until 3 pm and store our suitcases as long as we needed them to. So we wasted the remainder of 3 hours revisiting the Eaton Centre and camping at their beautiful lobby. And we walked to the bus terminals with our suitcases. It was a doable walk for my senior parents. And, for us... that made all the difference in the world. This hotel left a positive impression and I wouldn't hesitate to return again. :)

Yelp
I've never had a bad experience in a Marriott until today. Especially as a rewards member, i am shocked out how disrespected I was. They gave our room away to someone else! We arrived a little earlier than our scheduled check in time of 3pm, and no room was ready which was to be expected, and not the issue. A man named Carlos spent quite a long time reserving us a room with two double beds in it. This was very important to us. We are literally here just for a Tough Mudder race the following morning, and need to have a good night's rest. Carlos was able to secure us the proper room. We left our bags with the lobby, and went to explore the city. Carlos said he would call us when the room was ready. Upon our return after the phone call, the front desk lady named Paulyne said there were no rooms with two beds available. I explained that Carlos had reserved it for us, and we asked to talk to him. Conveniently for them, Carlos was gone for the day. Not only was Carlos gone, but Paulyne said there was zero evidence or notes of anything Carlos might have done. Even though we literally sat there for 15 minutes while he fumbled around on his keyboard. I'd be shocked if the truth is really that he was doing absolutely nothing that whole time. We tried to explain our situation to Pauline so she could understand how important it was that we get a good nights sleep, but she did not care about us at all. In fact, when I was mid sentence she walked away from the desk to talk to her friends and left me standing there. I've been in hotels all over the world and have never experienced anything like this. Our room was taken away from us. At the end, pauline gave us the keys to the wrong room, did not offer any real solution, did not even give us any of the normal information a guest should receive, (how to find your room, how wifi works etc) and was more interested in talking to her friends in the lobby than helping guests. Luckily i don't need to come back to Canada any time soon.

Yelp
I am a long time Marriott business traveler. This property deserves applause as its staff is terrific and all sought to satisfy us during our stay including Ralph Selbach (maitre d') and the omelette station chef on Saturday and Sunday. I learned that most employees are very long-term employees who are happy working here, and it shows! Bravo. A great stay including our room.

Yelp
We had a very nice experience at this hotel. Upon checkin, we were helped by Charles. I work in the customer service industry and can appreciate great customer service. Charles went above and beyond to get us a room as our room was not ready upon arrival. Anytime we had a question or concern, he was eager to help. He mapped out our trip to the Harbour area and made it simple. He is a great asset to the company. Juvylyn was very helpful in showing me where things were on the map in the Yorkville area. I definitely will return to this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant is great. The mall is next door. Great area.

Yelp
Our trip in Toronto was going great. Then on our second evening as we got ready for bed, the fire alarm went off. The whole hotel had to evacuate. The hotel staff seemed annoyed but not sympathetic to all of the guests having to clear out of their rooms late in the evening, especially the families with kids that were awoken by the alarm. Unfortunately, my husband ended up spraining his foot in the process. I called the front desk the next morning and asked them to bring up a wheelchair as his foot was really swollen and we thought at the time that it was broken. I told the receptionist that it happened during the fire drill. They did not make a comment. A staff member brought up the wheelchair so my husband was able to navigate around the room as I went out to walk to find him crutches to try to salvage the rest of our trip. Again, not at all sympathetic or apologetic. This isn't how Marriott tries to represent their brand. We will not be back to this location.

Yelp
I'm a business traveller. I sleep in hotels more than my own bed. I've been doing that for 15 years. I am a member of pretty much every travel affinity program there is, including Mariott Rewards - Silver. I have stayed here once. This is a nice facility with an outstanding location and a good staff. My beef is with the internet, specifically paying for it. When I made my reservation via my corporate travel system (Amex Concur) it said my corporate rate included internet - just like it does at every major hotel chain. At check-in and a second time before check-out, front desk staff told me internet was not free unless I had booked my room directly through Marriott.com. They said that this was a corporate policy, Marriott-wide. Hard to believe since corporate travelers almost always have to book through systems like Concur or CWT and we pay attention to little conveniences like this. Today I checked into the Marriott-North in Ft Lauderdale Florida. The front desk here assures me that Marriott policy is that Marriott Rewards members get free in-room internet no matter how they book and that that is a Marriott-wide policy. Also, another fee for something that is free almost everywhere else: using the computers in the Business Center. You have to swipe a credit card to use the machines unless you are printing a boarding pass. Add to that other minor annoyances: no refrigerators in the rooms, bedside power outlets that shut off with the lamp (no overnight charging), and lumpy beds and pillows. I was not impressed overall. I recommend the Chelsea Hotel just a few blocks away. It's a more comfortable neighborhood, more amenities, and better suited to the business traveler.

Yelp
We were given a room near the elevator and moved the next day to a much nicer room thanks to a attentive assistant manager. Nice location close to the downtown mall and all the the tourist traps one visits while in Toronto. Warning: if you leave anything of value in your valet parked automobile, please remember the valets are thieves at this hotel. Would stay here again, but not use valet parking.

Yelp
BEST MARRIOTT EVER!! I've been to Toronto twice this year and we loved it so much that we stayed here again on our most recent trip and had an even better experience. We chose this hotel because it's close to Eaton Centre Shopping Mall and to the subway like. Get off on Dundas. From the airport to the hotel it cost $3 CAD. SO AWESOME! They have a pool ad 24 hour fitness center. Tip: Bring a water bottle from home and fill it up at the fitness center :) If you're a Marriott Gold member you can get FREE wifi in your room and they also give you breakfast. Two days we had a coupon to eat and the food was yummy. The other days we were able to go to the lounge which allowed us to eat from the buffet too! BEST Marriott ever! Their afternoon snacks and desserts are awesome. The rooms were nice, beds were soft and lots of pillows. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Yelp
Dirt bag hotel, they shut down the concierge lounge for gold and platinum members on the weekends, so they can stick you with a bill for breakfast. Who is running this place? I spend 95+ nights a year at Marriott hotels, and one of the reasons is because of the way I get nicely treated with the concierge lounge. At no point during booking, do they reference this dirt bag move they pull on customers. What makes all this better, is when I called and spoke to the front desk today, they try to make me feel like the moron. This place needs help.
