❌ Terrible Experience – Not Recommended This hotel is simply unbelievable. Poor Hygiene: The bathroom and shower walls had visible mold. The carpet and sofa were heavily stained, making the room feel dirty and unpleasant. Price vs. Quality Mismatch: They claim not to provide basic amenities in the name of “environmental protection,” yet the room rates are as high as a five-star hotel. With such poor quality, it doesn’t even meet the standards of a business hotel. Unprofessional Service: The receptionist was unfriendly. At checkout, they quietly added about RMB 1,000 to the bill. When asked, they said it was a deposit. But there was no prior explanation, no receipt, and no transparency. Overall Disappointment: I’ve stayed in many hotels in Shenzhen, and I chose this one only because it belongs to the Marriott group. Unfortunately, it turned out to be far below expectations. 👉 Conclusion: For the same price, you can find much better hotels in Shenzhen. If you’re okay with this level of quality, I’d recommend staying at a business hotel for less than half the price instead.

The hotel is nicely situation next to a big mall so lots of food options available. The concierge could be more detailed oriented, he forgot to tell us what times the executive lounges open until, and what time the breakfast buffet was opened. We ended up just missing the dinner at the executive lounge, directory in room says open until 9:30pm but dinner was only until 7:30pm. The tv in the bath area was not working, the shower hose connected to the bathtub wasn’t working and the bathtub plug also leaked a bit. Little hiccups but overall a pleasant stay. We asked for an electric cord for changing phones and pleasantly surprised to see a little robot bring it to our room. Gym was decent and equipment was new, it had a gorgeous view which was pleasant to work out at.

Nice friendly and efficient check in although no recognition for my Platinum Status! Room as always has a great view although maintenance of the bathroom sliding doors needs attention we couldn’t close them properly. Only two towels of each description which is a bit poor if they don’t offer turndown.

What a great stay at the Shenzhen Marriott Hotel Nanshan! Sam Chen and his team were so welcoming and took care of us the whole stay. As Marriott members, we appreciated the upgrade to the spectacular executive suite. The view and luxury experience was amazing and the club level was the perfect space to just relax. I enjoyed the swimming pool and steam+jacuzzi. The hotel location is perfect, we walked to many shops and restaurants and quick taxi ride to many tourist spots. After we checked out, I forgot to ask for a receipt and Sam easily emailed it to me within hours of my request. The hotel is gold standard service and the perfect place to relax and enjoy your visit, be it for tourism or business. We are looking forward to returning!

we went as a family of 4 with 2 rooms and executive package. The hotel is new and nicely design, rooms are large and comfortable. all and all we had a nice time and pleasant stay. a few items to note, the location is a bit out of the way to our opinion, though the mall and outdoor promenade right next to the hotel has proven to be nice and full of eateries and shops. The check in was slow. Lobby and check in, breakfast and main cafe on the 43 floor was super nice. Swimming pool was tiny and on the weekdays they have swim class i believe open to public which cheapens the entire place, loud and dirty, we went but we decide not to use the pool. the executive lounge which our family always pay extra for is not the best, food was not the greatest although relative to the price of the room i guess it is ok. we went at around 9.30 after dinner for a glass of wine and dessert for the kids and there was a large table with people talking loudly on the phone and actually the reception staff was also chit chatting to them, the volume was super loud and unpleasant which is not classy for the lounge.

The hotel has a very convenient location, with proximity to malls and small shops. The building itself is 62 floors, and rooms start from the 45th floor and higher. Great breakfast with a huge variety of food options (vegan, spicy, etc.). The staff is exceptionally nice, laundry was also immaculate with their packing style.

Special thanks to Wylie at the front desk for his warm, professional service—he truly went above and beyond. ||My room was spacious, impeccably clean, and packed with high-tech comforts, from automated lighting to a Japanese toilet and rainforest shower. The floor-to-ceiling windows showcased a mesmerizing skyline vista. ||The Executive Lounge was a highlight—spacious, well-organized, and with unbeatable views. Edwin, Amber and the team provided outstanding service, catering to every request with genuine warmth. ||Without a doubt, this is the best Marriott I’ve experienced. I’ll return without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shenzhen!
