Stayed 3 nights here. Location was great. Close to downtown business and shopping. Rooms were fine. No microwave in the room and no freezer area to freeze a cold pack we needed in the room refrigerator. Upon arrival, I asked the young man at front desk for a cart to take my things to my room. The desk attendant told me that the doorman had to get the cart out for me to use. When the doorman (an older man) returned with the cart, he insisted that he pack up my things in the circle out front and he said “so the cameras can see me”. My spouse had to then drive our vehicle back up to the front of the building and then the doorman took the items out of my car and to my room for me. I told him specifically twice at the vehicle that I wasn’t comfortable doing that, that I am able bodied to get my own items out of my vehicle, and he did it anyways, to the extent that he took that cart and walked me to my room, hung up my clothes in my closet, and then was complaining that the other door staff (I assume the valet people) were lazy and always on TikTok when they’re at work, take too many breaks, etc. I’m a customer, I don’t need to know that. I didn’t need to be walked to my room. I saw other customers on subsequent days using the same cart to move their own items to a room. Pool and hot tub was dirty (debris in bottom) when we used those. The Starbucks on site was out of every single syrup to make any of their holiday drink selections. There is no free breakfast at this location. A basic breakfast sandwich runs about $16 each which is a rip off. A regular soda at the front desk was $5.70 I believe with tax which is also a rip off. I also asked the young man at the front desk about the resort fee items I saw when making my reservation on the Marriott Bonvoy app, which was drinks each day up to a certain dollar amount and a S’mores kit and he didn’t know what I was talking about. He seemed very snobby as if he was too good to talk to me. Upon checking out at 5am, there was a lady at the front desk typing and told me to wait while she finished her work. So I waited 2 minutes for her to type. This is very poor customer service overall at this location. I frequent Lexington quite a bit, and spend a lot of money here, but I won’t be back to stay at this Marriott resort location.
