Marriott Marquis Chicago

We stayed at the Marriott for a bears game and had a great experience! It is walking distance to the stadium which was a huge plus for this trip. The hotel was clean, great staff, and a lively bar/restaurant scene which is important to me. The one downside to this hotel would be that the area isn’t the most walkable, meaning not a lot of things to do/restaurants around the hotel. So if you are looking for the best location, would definitely recommend more toward the river for a livelier scene. But overall a great stay for what we were there for. Would definitely go back!

What a delight!! We came to Chicago to see an NFL game, an NHL game and of course sightsee! The football stadium was an easy walk (Soldier field) from the hotel. Otherwise it wasn’t really close to anything else we so we utilized Ubers during our stay. Not a problem. The staff was exceptional! Kudos to Shantel at the desk - our check in was easy and she was always pleasant with a wave and conversation moving forward. Her warm smile brightened our day! She and the manager Angela even surprised us with a gift in our room! 🍻 The Elite lounge was one of the nicest I’ve seen, beautiful, clean sitting areas kept that way by the amazing staff. A pleasure to eat there each morning..and the food and drinks were fantastic! We would not hesitate to stay there again in the stunning city of Chicago…Hope to see you in the Summer! 🇨🇦

I love Marriott brands, but exceptionally love the Marquis Hotels. This is an extremely special property with amenities galore. I recently stayed for a 2-day concert at the Wintrust Arena. It was so convenient that I never had to go outside in negative windchills - except for a late night White Castle run. You can get to both McCormick Place and the W.A. with ease through the elevated walkways! The property and rooms are elegantly styled; with great views from all around. I am a fan of high floors so was ecstatic to get a room on top floor - #39. The staff was great; extremely professional, but friendly and helpful. Eileen - the food and Beverage Manager and her team made our stay extra special!! Extra shout out to them - good food and good service!! A great property with great ammenities, staff, location and views of Chicago! A must stay!!!

I had the opportunity to stay at this hotel in late November 2025. The hotel is clean and modern with an excellent location to visit downtown, McCormick Place or surroundings areas. Delisa Davis at the front desk was outstanding. From the moment I arrived, she was warm, professional, and genuinely courteous, making check-in smooth and stress-free. Her welcoming attitude and attention to detail immediately set the tone for a wonderful stay. It’s clear she takes pride in delivering great service, and that first impression made all the difference. I don't want to forget the staff at the restaurant including the evening female manager who was super nice and professional along with the rest of the team. Keep up the great work making guests feel welcomed!

Positive: The staff that we encountered were very accommodating and helpful, they were pleasant & friendly. Truly made all the difference in my consideration of staying at this hotel again in the future. The two bartenders in the food court area were exceptional! Negative: The hotel was not clean. Floors were dirty. Elevator doors were filthy with handprints everywhere, as if they had not been cleaned in weeks. There was garbage on the floor near the elevators on the 20th floor. Hallway carpet was not clean.

I stayed at this hotel for a conference at McCormick Place. I was quite impressed with the level of service: from the front desk, to the housekeeping staff, to the maintenance team. The front desk was friendly at check in and was able to accommodate my room request. On my first night, I noticed a lightbulb that was burnt out. To my surprise, a maintenance man was knocking on my door to replace the lightbulb before I had a chance to report it. One the 3rd day, a housekeeping manager stopped by my room to ask "if the housekeeping services were satisfactory or if there was anything they could do to make the stay more comfortable". Hotel was beautifully maintained and offered modern touches. The staff at this hotel was some of the best I have encountered in the dozens of hotels that I have stayed at.

Overall, we had a great experience! The hotel has a beautiful facility with clean, modern, and spacious rooms. The Club and breakfast were excellent as well. A couple of small suggestions. We checked in late at night in December after snowfall, and the lobby felt a bit messy and chaotic, likely due to the time and weather. The front desk staff also seemed very relaxed. My ID was dropped on the floor. And we weren’t informed about details of breakfast time and we almost missed it. Not a big issue, but there’s room for improvement. Again, overall the stay was wonderful, and we would recommend the hotel!

This hotel is a great option in the South Loop of Chicago. Parking is convenient—you can self-park across the street and take the sky bridge to cross over, which worked out perfectly. I usually check in using the app, but this time it wasn’t working so I went to the front desk. They had separate lines for members and non-members, though the members’ line was moving slowly since there was only one person working it. Once it was my turn, the check-in process was quick, and the employee who helped me was very nice and friendly. My room had a beautiful lake view, and it was clean, comfortable, and well-kept. The beds were great, and I especially liked the firm pillows. I didn’t get a chance to use the restaurant or bar since they were crowded, but I did stop by the marketplace, which had a nice variety of items (a bit pricey, but convenient). Overall, I had a very good stay, and I’ll definitely consider this hotel again the next time I’m in the city.
