The rooms were okay—not exactly what we expected—but after sharing our concerns, we received a personal call from the manager who made sure everything was taken care of. That level of follow-up was appreciated. What truly made our stay memorable was the outstanding service at the hotel restaurant. Our server, Mo, is one of a kind. We’ve been staying at Marriott properties for the past 15 years, and we have never experienced the kind of service Mo provides. Every morning, we specifically asked to be seated in his section—and we weren’t the only ones. We noticed other guests doing the same. His professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail are simply unmatched.

Very pleased with this resort. Room was clean and comfortable . The restaurant staff was beyond attentive, Aloke and Nadia offered a five star service during our dinner and the food was delicious. The pools can get crowded, but the hammocks were a great choice for relaxation. We will definitely come back!

We recently stayed at the resort for 5 days and it was one of the nicest resorts I've ever stayed at including hawaii. The staff was accommodating and the pictures are exactly how it looks. the pool was amazing and plenty of towels and chairs available. Jacquelyn was wonderful as our hostess at the pool and the bell hops were friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend to anyone considering this property. clean and well appointed rooms also. I also would note how quiet it was in our room. I didn't hear anyone next door or doors slamming which I've had in other hotels/resorts. Yes it is more pricey than other places but trust me, you get what you pay for here and its worth it.

We recently stayed at the Marriott Resort and Spa in Myrtle Beach and had a great experience overall. Our first night was a little rough due to some very loud neighbors in the middle of the night, but hotel staff handled it quickly and professionally. They also gave us breakfast coupons and a $100 credit as an apology, which we really appreciated. We also booked massages at the spa - Jeff, the masseuse, was fantastic and worth every penny. The resort itself was beautiful and well-maintained. We would definitely recommend staying here if you’re visiting Myrtle Beach!

This resort was really top notch! Being greeted by a friendly, professional and personable staff was very much appreciated. They remembered our names hours after we checked in and called us by name the whole week of our stay. Ashley at the front desk was so instrumental in making this vacation one to remember. To her it was just her job, but to us it was personal. Ashley, after hearing about our daughter’s 10th birthday, took it upon herself to make sure she was celebrated in style. She sent our daughter a delicious chocolate brownie with a raspberry sauce and mint leaf that was made just for her. Our daughter was so surprised and taken back by this touching and personal gesture! The staff around the resort was friendly, helpful and very accommodating to all our little needs. From extra towels, to skipping a day of turn-down service so we could all rest, they were flexible and understanding. Our son enjoyed the spa by getting a full body massage. It was his first time, and they were excellent in working with him and answering all of his questions. Having special needs and no expectation the massage process, they took time and explained all the different types of massages based on what he wanted out of the service. He really enjoyed his time at the spa and came out feeling refreshed and relaxed! The menu offerings at the resort were a nice mix for adults and kids alike. From pizza, chicken fingers and fries to steak, seafood and amazing pasta dishes, it was nice to be able to feed everyone without having the hassle of ordering from multiple places. They offer a casual bar-like restaurant and a sit down more private meal experience. Both were excellent. Coffee and light breakfast items, lunch offerings by the pool, full service restaurants and room service available all night for our late night snackers. It was nice having an eclectic mix of dining and refreshment offerings whenever the mood struck. Over all, this resort is top notch. The pool area is wonderful and massive. It is very accommodating all the resort guests, quick easy access to the beach area and plenty of seating poolside. They even have an indoor pool area available for use anytime especially when the weather turns. When we make it back to Myrtle Beach, this will be our home away from home. Thank you Ashley and resort team for making us feel so at home while we were away from ours.

The staff were VERY welcoming. The food and drinks at Ocean Blu were Amazing. Victoria at The Cove was our waitress for 2 days of our stay and she was MAGNIFICENT. The Hibiscus Spa treatment really topped the Experience. Omg, from the politeness upon scheduling the appointment until the exiting of our session. As mentioned previously, no matter what part of the resort you were in the staff was very welcoming. I felt like the stay was a 20/10 and will be making this my go to place when visiting. (>>Adressing other reviews>>) The breakfast at Ocean's 2nd is buffet style with a flat rate of $30 which you cannot beat. I'm brown, African American and did NOT feel as if I was treated any way other than welcomed. Ex: After checking in, there was a stain on the linen of one bed. I went to the service desk immediately and without any additional questions asked the receptionist accommodated me by moving the room which had a better view.

Great service everywhere, beach access, water slide, beautiful outdoor areas. Great drink selection, including mocktails (variety of daiquiris). Towels always available at the towel shack. Basketball court for whomever. Was clean everywhere in the hotel. They even have a selfie station!!

Yelp
Beautiful resort with pools hot tubs indoor heated pool and ocean front beach access. Plenty of tables, chairs with umbrellas, hammocks etc. there was a kids pool and play area. The staff is top notch, special shout out to Kaitlin at the front desk. Valet and self parking available. The rooms are a bit dated but they are clean. Perfect location for an off season get away. I did not dine on site but stopped for coffee which was fine. The property is huge but I can see this resort being overwhelmed in season. I will not hesitate to stay again.

Yelp
The main restaurant onsite was my biggest complaint, I even went to the director. Once of the servers of course I can't remember her name now continuously went out of her way to ignore us. She served every table that sat down near us except us. Thankfully our server, I can't remember his name but I know he had a twin noticed us and took great care of us. I was disappointed because the way she treated us put such a damper on the whole trip. Hopefully her service changes or her establishment does. I will say, the team that took care of us for breakfast was great and I had no issues with her at all.

Yelp
The marriott myrtle beach resort staff was nice during checkin and valet staff was great. We had a king balcony ocean view room. It had a lot of room and was overall comfortable. The room felt dated though. Bed and pillows were comfy. The view was nice. I do think timing was bad since it was not shoulder season yet in Mid August and kids were just about to go back to school. I would likely not stay here again. I do travel a lot and am picky . Some negatives : - It's busy- yes this is Myrtle Beach but i thought it would not be as busy as it was. Granted to were staying Friday to Monday but it was insanely busy and not what i was expecting. We could not find seats at the pool in the afternoon Friday and Saturday. -Lot of kids. I get it is the beach but there were a lot of kids and we were looking for some quiet time for my wife and i. -Noise. There were a few noise issues the worst at 2am when the pool speakers started playing music and woke us up. The second is at night there are lots of kids on the pool deck and in the pool who were very loud and couldn't hear the waves from the beach -Beach was busy -Not a lot of food options on premises -not very resort feeling Positives: -it is quieter than the heartland of Myrtle Beach -Once we settled in we did enjoy ourselves -Found some good non-touristy restaurants to goto -BrookGreen Gardens was an amazing night visit for their garden art light expo - Enjoyed the beach - clean sand, warm waters, and enjoyed the waves and sand bars further out on low tide

Yelp
Had to get my room card reprogrammed again. Everyone is having this problem. It has been every day for me. No microwave in rooms either. Main lobby has a microwave. Dropping my rating down to two. Talked to the manager about this problem , they have known about it for a long time and done nothing about it. Poor customer service.

Jeremy M.

Yelp
Wasn't bad the resort was super nice on the outside, but the room left a lot to be desired. I think their pools and leisure areas were beautiful and well capped however we came into a room that had wrinkled sheets indicated that they hadn't been serviced. We requested service and the sheets never got swapped out which is honestly disgusting. We were only there for one night so I didn't make a big deal out of it They have coffee bar in the bar area, which is OK I guess, but leaves a lot to be desired It looks like they may be considering renovations or in the middle of renovations so hopefully they get it together, but this place is definitely dated and they are lacking in the service department when it comes to room, maintenance and linens

Yelp
Stayed here for our anniversary. The room was lovely, the pools were so nice. Many outdoor activities - corn hole, chess (a life size chess set), hammocks, basketball, game room, etc. The wait to check in was very long and the parking was a good walk - and it's $25 to park. Staff professional, room clean, we did hear some noise thru the walls (a tv was on) but overall a good experience. We dined at the on-site casual dining by the pool, definitely not worth it. We got two drinks, hummus appetizer and tacos and the bill was $65! Yikes. Elevators fast and there are plenty. We'd stay here again but would skip the dining choices and prepare for long walks from parking decks.

Kayla D.

Yelp
Rooms are nice but the bathrooms are TINY & not small child friendly (tight space for more than one person and standing/walk in showers only). The hallways, elevators and some of the amenities are a tad dated (game room, lower level sitting area, etc) but overall it's a really nice resort, especially for Myrtle Beach. The front desk staff and valet guys are great! The hotel is non-smoking but someone on our floor decided to still smoke (not cigarettes) so the front desk accommodated our request for a room change since we had small children and could smell it in our room. Parking is really far! Pool is great but people go out there at 9 am to save seats and then you don't see them for hours so that was frustrating. It's right on the beach so it was nice to have our own access and beach chairs (pay to rent)! Would definitely return!

Jim N.

Yelp
While we had some minor issues during our stay, Latoya, the desk clerk in the lobby was incredibly helpful. She was wonderful!

Yelp
What a lovely resort! Yes it is pricey so let's get that out of the way. However, the grounds are amazing! Steps to the beach - which is beautiful, and about a 7 minute walk to N Kings Hwy if you need a pharmacy, etc. Situated in an upscale area away from the hustle. The resort hosts conferences and the one group we saw was so kind and welcoming. The common area is really nice and there is always infused waters available by the glass. All dining/ bar areas are on the perimeter. I highly recommend Richie as a server and one of Jamal's hand prepared omelettes. Yum! The rooms are great, especially ocean view- though more costly. Bedding super clean and crisp.Bed was incredibly comfortable. Bath was clean and fine. AC worked nice and cool. Only problem was that the room key deactivated several times each day. After bringing the concern forward, I found out the key system is changing the week after we were leaving. Of course lol. This happened to numerous guests and was the only frustrating aspect. Nevertheless a 5* resort. Parking convenient- both garage and outdoor. Pools lovely. Patio very clean and popular with beach showers. Towels available & included. Cannot wait to return! Great stay. Here's the beach view!

Yelp
For work, I had the pleasure of staying at this amazing resort. The best part was the beach views from my hotel room. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel room was clean and well maintained. I enjoyed listening to the ocean waves at night and it made for great sleeping. Local restaurants were within walking distance. I enjoyed walking up and down the beach during sunrises and sunsets.

Yelp
Nice Marriott resort style hotel thats off the beaten path in Myrtle Beach. Stayed here for 3 nights while attending a wedding at the resort and had a pleasant stay. Resort wise it's very nicely maintained and features a nicely groomed beach, multiple pools, pool bar, 2 Resturants, and multiple venue rooms. The rooms were fairly standard marriott rooms but they were clean and my highfloor room had a great view. The wedding was nicely set up with the services taking place outside over looking the water. Cocktail hour was on the pool deck which the closed to the public. Food wise it was catering hall food, but the service was very good. The location is just north of the boardwalk which is nice as it's not as loud and crowded. Overall would definitely recommend if your looking for somewhere to stay while in Myrtle Beach! Enjoy.

Yelp
Me and wife celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary at the MMBR&S. Let me tell you. First class all the way. The staff was phenomenal. The resort? It was to die for. The amenities? First class. 3 Restaurants. A nice bar. Fitness center. Spa. Game roim for the kids. Indoor/ Outdoor swimming pool. The view? Breathtaking!!! The Atlantic Ocean? A 2 minute walk away. We are already making plans to go back.

Yelp
Rooms were very clean, bathrooms on the smaller side. The hotel pool is very nice however on a day we were there one of the pools was closed mid morning for a private function and guests were asked to leave not sure how often that occurs. There is also 3 (?) coin operated washer/dryers available, and while they show every bit of their age it was super convenient for a beach vacation or long stay. Public beach is readily accessible via a well kept deck/path, chairs can be rented from lifeguard station. Enjoyed morning coffee on the covered terrace (ocean blu lounge), great breeze, view of the pool and ocean.

Patrick B.

Yelp
The resort met all of out expectations. Good amenities, multiple well-kept pools and pool decks, beach access, etc. Both complimentary and valet parking. Located in a nice area with access to newer restaurants. Small knocks for tired furniture throughout, and some aggressive pricing for food/beverages, but the f&b quality was generally good. All the staff were helpful and accommodating. I plan to return and would recommend.

Crissy H.

Yelp
I visited in December, even with it being cold, the trip was enjoyable. I really liked this resort, and what made it even better, the beach was just a walk away. I didn't go through the check in process, but upon entering the room, everything met my expectations. The kitchen had everything needed to make a nice meal, including, the cleaning supplies. They actually had everything needed: a full set of dishes, silverware, and bakeware. I was impressed. The parking at the resort, at night, can be a bit confusing. However, with that being said, I like the parking set up they have. You must have an access code to enter the parking lot per the resort you're in, as well as, needing an access key to enter your building. If you're thinking about visiting this city and resort, I highly recommend it. You'll have a great time!

Lupe M.

Yelp
It was a comfortable 3 nights at this place. We didn't stay much indoors so I cant complain much. We walked to the beach and enjoyed the sunny days. We went to the boardwalk and walked around - a lot. Through out the days we also enjoyed the pools, these were relaxing at night, especially the warmth in the interior pool and whirl pool. We did try the oceans restaurant but we wouldn't return, the person who seated us wasn't very attentive although our waiter made up for it, he was very nice and attentive to detail. Overall it was a good place to wind down after a day in the sun.

Caleb M.

Yelp
This is my absolute favorite hotel in Myrtle Beach! The staff never fails to deliver a memorable experience with each visit.

Diana G.

Yelp
Pros: Easy check in Right on the beach Nice pools Clean, spacious rooms Clean, spacious bathrooms Beach/ pool towels available Cons: The lounge chairs at the pool are typically taken by the time you get out there by people that put their belongings there early, but don't use them until later on the day Room 531 Check in was very easy through the app. I was able to check in the night before and they let you know when your room is ready the day of. I arrived early and they were able to hold my luggage and was even offered a room early. The room had one king size bed and a pull out couch. The view was pretty much of the other buildings, but you could see a little of the ocean. The room was spacious and clean. The restroom was also big. Toiletries included shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, bar soap. The room is equipped with an iron and a hairdryer. The room also has a coffee pot. They do not have a microwave but they do have a mini fridge. The bed was comfortable and the couch was a pull out. They were able to supply us with more pillows and sheets. Currently, if you want housekeeping, you have to request it before noon. They are pretty good about replenishing your towels, coffee, and any other supplies you're missing as long as you ask for it. The pool: they have two outside pools. The first one always has less people because there is less lounge chairs. The second one is always full. They do also have a water slide. The inside pool is always empty in a good place to go and relax at. They also have a hot tub in the inside pool area. They offer pool towels poolside. You can rent Cabanas by the pool as well. Near the pool they have an area with hammocks under palm trees. They also have a poolside restaurant. Entertainment: they have plenty of things to do. Inside the hotel they have a game room. Outside they have cornhole, ping-pong, basketball. Gym: The gym has several treadmills and some weight machines. They also have free weights. They always have towels available and water. Beach: they have a good beach access with showers. The beach is clean and not crowded. They do have umbrellas and chairs you can rent. They do allow you to take your towels to the beach from the pool. They have laundry facilities too. The front desk can exchange your bills for quarters

Yelp
The location to beach is the best part. The rooms are old and dilapidated. Water was leaking from the sliding glass door. The fan didn't work in the tiny bathroom. Body wash never refilled. The one dim light in the bathroom was hardly enough to see with door closed. The ceiling had multiple water stains. The air conditioner, although working was very loud throughout the night when turning on and off. The paint on the walls and door was chipping off. The refrigerator in the room didn't work. Room keys had to be replaced twice for non-working keys. The fitness center is laughable with a few treadmills, bikes and weights, and overcrowded in the 100 sq ft room. The spa has limited hours and booked the entire 5 day stay. Not worth the money. Shame on Marriott.

Mike C.

Yelp
Very disappointed in this Marriott vacation club property, The level of comfort is equal to older courtyard properties. If you are considering staying here for this years vacation I would look elsewhere. Over priced for what you get, Marriott should be embarrassed. I am basing this on having lived in Marriott properties 40 plus weeks out of the year for over 18 years. Pros : - it is on the beach - swimming pools are good sized and enough lounge chairs - covered parking with wide parking spaces - close to restaurants - staff seems to care but they really don't have much to work with. Cons: - rooms are in need of repair, doors have 1/4 to 1/2 inch gaps so you hear your neighbors all night and house keeping in the morning. - air conditioning does not work - mattresses need replaced they are shot - food onsite is really bad - hot tub was being repaired while we were here so afternoon nap by the pool is shot - not enough umbrellas for lounge chairs so plan accordingly - Marriott status is useless

Yelp
Exactly what my wife and I needed to get away from all this Covid 19 stuff. What a beautiful hotel and great staff! Perfect location right on the beach! For our first night we had dinner on the outside balcony. What a view! Limited menu but I truly enjoyed the Boneless Buffalo Chicken with a Ceaser Salad and my wife had a Hummas appetizer that she enjoyed. Pool was a delight and the service from The Cove was exceptional. Breakfast outside at Ocean Blue was wonderful. Again service was outstanding and the view a delight. Can't wait to go back!

Mike B.

Yelp
Here on a Thursday night. At Blue Bar. Planned on dinner, few beers, Thursday night football. THEY DON'T HAVE AMAZON PRIME! Are you kidding me! I have this for 90! Plan to go elsewhere.

GP M.

Yelp
I traveled solo and stayed here for 5 days. The hotel staff treated me like a queen. I had early check-in on my first day with no issues. The resort and spa were very clean. The food served was really delicious. The pizza needs more sauce as a recommendation. Caesar salad never has tomatoes. The bell guys were very kind and helpful.

Mike M.

Yelp
Away from the hustle and bustle of the heart of Myrtle beach situated on the northern end and directly on the water. The grounds leading up to the resort are beautiful, clean, and really gives you a feeling of luxury. The front desk was friendly and were always pleased to answer questions that we might of had during the entire stay....which was 5 days. The pool area is without a doubt the highlight of the stay and especially the beach, which is directly behind the pool. If it were any closer, we'd be in the water. If you are a family with kids, this is a great place for kids bcause of the pool and beach. If you are a young single couple or honeymooners or just adults without kids and you want a quiet place to vacation, this is NOT the place for you. Kids everywhere...in mid June that is. The pool waitstaff was very accommodating and always around if you wanted a drink, lunch, or something to snack on. Be careful of the prices. Always ask the price of something when ordering and if you're drink doesn't seem strong enough, speak up and they will remedy that for you. Waitstaff will try to charge you for a double if asking for your drink to be on the strong side. Food was just ok. portions or taste does not equal the very high pricing. This resort needs an ice cream shop (real ice cream) and a pizza restaurant. Many eating establishments within a 12 minute walk from the resort and many places in the area delivers. I would recommend visiting the local supermarket, which is less then a 5 minute drive from the resort. Rooms do have refrigerators, so that will save you more than a few bucks. The room was spacious but could use some updating. Our room did have some bathroom door trim that was rotted away and dirty and missing caulk around the shower. Speaking of the shower...best water pressure I've ever experienced anywhere....felt like being under a waterfall. Ocean view rooms also have great views of the beach. Fun game room, giant chess by the pool, cornhole, ping pong, jacuzzi, and another small indoor pool. We did not rent a car and instead opted to do Uber and Lyft....saved a ton of money. Like I said earlier, if you don't mind walking to stores and local restaurants...sometimes in very hot humid weather, then you don't need to rent a car. Everything you need is at this resort and within a few blocks. Eat at Fiesta Mexicana on the main strip, about a 7 minute drive or 22 minute walk away from the beach....incredible. I highly recommend this place....just be careful of the food and drink costs at the resort. You can buy wine, beer, and liquor a few blocks away and keep in your room. Save a lot of money that way as well.

Yelp
Just returned from a week here and all things considered, it definitely warrants five stars. First, there was the most important thing: our room accommodations. Quiet, comfortable, spacious, well-appointed, with terrific views. Didn't hear a peep outside or overhead the entire week, despite the hotel obviously being full. Slept very well. Bathrooms, showers -- excellent. The staff are terrific. I must single out Caitlin in particular although I'm loath to spell out how she helped us out in case it's not replicable in every case. But suffice it to say that in the weeks prior to our arrival, I checked on a feature of our accommodations, found there had been a glitch, and Caitlin worked it out so that we wound up with something even better than we originally thought we had. But across the board, the staff were great -- front desk staff, valets, bellhops, engineers, maintenance staff, towel dispensers, etc. It's a magnificent structure, and the pools are especially spectacular. Loved the water slide by the pools! But there are lovely views and vantage points overlooking the beach at several points on the grounds. There's an excellent spa on site. There's a game room. OK, not everything was absolutely perfect, but the good things were so good that I have to give it five stars. The principal and somewhat surprising flaw was the dining. The restaurant service ranged from annoyingly slow to frustratingly incompetent. Our server the first night disappeared for long stretches of time and didn't know the menu. At lunch, my salad lacked dressing, and my spouse's chips were ridiculously stale -- then replaced with equally stale chips. The omelet station at breakfast went unmanned most of the time every morning, you had to wait ten minutes for someone to show up. The restaurant staff seemed insufficient in their number and poorly trained. It was odd, considering that the rest of the hotel staff seemed quite adept. And it must be said that the restaurants were very expensive and yet their menus were quite limited. There were also some really awful smells in the parking area, smelled like something between sewage and rotting seafood. And this next one is totally not the hotel's fault, especially since I didn't report it to them, but people seem to flout Marriott's no-smoking policy. My time on the balcony was ruined each morning by someone smoking ciggie after ciggie on the balcony below me (and, not coincidentally, hacking up a storm). But I didn't report it, so I'm sure Marriott never knew. But it wasn't the only instance we witnessed of people smoking on property in violation of the supposed rules. But overall, terrific beach location, fantastic pools and slide, wonderful rooms, quiet, scenic, well-staffed and well-appointed. Gotta give a strong five stars even with the imperfections. (Please work on the dining situation, Marriott!)

Yelp
Was a really nice place to stay for a long weekend. Clean rooms, great room service etc.. Access to other things within Myrtle Beach was pretty good so no complaints there. The only thing I took issue with was a small portion of the staff serving breakfast. My wife and I went in for breakfast and the staff was really pushing the buffet(instead of ordering from the menu). At this point, we've eaten at the buffet for 3 days and wanted to try some menu items. Some of the staff were visibly disappointed we didn't select the buffet because we'd rather order from the menu instead. Even an eye roll and some uncalled for comments. That put us in an awkward situation of, do we stay and order knowing their disappointment that we're not eating at the buffet or should we just leave and go somewhere else? Luckily Mo(and the dude with the feather earring) took over and served our table, saving this from a walk out. Pay those 2 guys more because the eye rolls and attitude from a couple of the others would've made this a 1 star review. Those 2 are saving the operation if this is a common thing.

Yelp
Best stay ever! I enjoyed this place and it was so clean and the staff was beyond helpful and pleasant. I enjoyed the pool, tho the inside hot tub was under construction, the pool was wonderful and no one else was down stairs to intervene. Room service was a delight, though I don't quite suggest ordering the dessert.

Fetima W.

Yelp
This hotel was a very nice hotel and the best hotel I have stayed at while in Myrtle Beach. It sits right on the beach and there is a indoor and outdoor pool. The outdoor pool area is large and I'm sure beautiful in the summer. The hotel also has a nice fitness center and spa. Customer service was awesome. The hotel is located right near pirates voyage and the outlets so you don't need to travel far for entertainment. We stayed in a double queen bed room and had a partial view of the ocean. The room was spacious for 3 people. The beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was well stocked and the shower was great. We ate from their on site dining resteraunt and the food was decent. My family traveled for a work function so our meals were included and catered by the hotel staff. The waiters and waitresses were very accommodating. I would love to return to this hotel and we were very happy with the accommodations.

Yelp
Wife and I stopped in Myrtle Beach on our drive home from Hilton Head and Savanna. I booked a standard room but when we arrived because we are Platinum Elite we were upgraded to a larger room with partial ocean view, the check in was extremely easy since we booked through the website. Our room key was sent to my phone so we didn't need to stop at the front desk. All of the workers were wearing masks some with gloves the room was very clean. People need to start following the Covid guidelines and wear a mask the correct way and a mask period!! I sure don't want the hotels to shut down and I'm not able to travel and get away for a few days so I'm not stuck at home. Marriott should be able to I force this rule and if the guest (because that's all they are is a guest) doesn't follow there rules that are posted they should be removed from the property and not be refunded there money. Marriott goes through a lot to make sure they have enough employees to keep the place clean and disease free. Spending lots of money as well and then you have those that think there's nothing to this. Look forward to returning.

Yelp
Great hotel, superb pool and beach situation! This is the best place I've ever stayed at in Myrtle beach and I can't wait to go again!

Yelp
Andrea and I truly enjoyed our very relaxing stay. Facility and our room was very clean and in nice working order. Valet Guys made things super convenient and very easy; took the worry out of parking the car. The hotel was very accessible - easy to get in and out. Hotel Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Staff seeks to make sure that your visit is comfortable and enjoyable - despite the "Corona Pandemic" that is ongoing in our world. Special "Shout Out" to "Kevin" and the other nice tall gentleman that worked w/ him @ the pool - They brought us some delicious drinks and ensure that our Beach/Pool experience was wonderful. Would definitely return to visit again. I should also mention - how helpful the front desk staff was. We felt very welcomed!

Yelp
Bottom line : I would recommend and I would stay here again...under the right conditions. the hotel is perfectly place and the private beach is amazing! However. The hotel and associated resort shops are overly priced for what the hotel is. Expect what I call the resort tax everywhere. The Considerations for COVID were decent... staff wear masks all the time. Customers are "required" to wear masks but apparently its difficult for people. They also have considerations for the elevator. We felt safe the entire time. If you are an elite member you get basically nothing. The Room: Was spacious and beautifully decorated. The room was clean and ready for us. The bar and restaurant: We decided not to eat after the Bar experience which consisted of the worst Mojito and Bourbon dink I've ever had. Elite members: All you can expect is 1000k points at check in. No Restaurant or bar vouchers or any really any added benefit. No concierge lounge. Rationale for rating: Although the private beach was great it cannot stand alone. The room is what is expected at Marriott. The lack of elite consideration is frustrating. The added cost to anything at the resort is frustrating...it's a convince gouge.

Yelp
Several issues with hotel that should be handled ASAP. Cons: 1. Stopped up shower drain. 2. Toilet ran constantly. 3. When opening balcony door please make sure you have no small children close by. Balcony banister is very shaky and very unsecured in room 917. 4. Construction going on all around the pool area that should have been prevented during the day when relaxation is a must. 5. Housekeepers spoke no English. 6. Room keycards stopped working numerous times. Very annoying when you have small children and have to make extra trips to get re keyed! Pros: 1. Front desk clerks are very friendly and helpful. 2. Parking 3. Indoor pool was great usage when storming outside. 4. Hot shower. 5. Room was very clean. Overall the 2 stars because a resort this expensive and superior should not have these issues.

Yelp
Enjoyed my visit to this resort. I didn't stay here, however I was a guest of a very frequent visitor to this resort. While visiting, we used two of their very spacious and clean pools and enjoyed the easy private beach access. The staff was incredible! Everywhere we turned, someone was there to help us and they were very friendly. The food we ordered, top notch! I really enjoyed the coconut and bang bang shrimp. Staff all wore masks, even outside, and we were all required while indoors. Highly recommend, and we're considering staying here in the future.

Yelp
Had a wonderful stay here this April. Absolutely fantastic service at the bar and restaurant from Daniel, Victoria and Noah. Really enhanced our experience at the Marriot. Hotel is beautiful. Everything you could possibly want.

Yelp
Pros: The pool and water access were nice! Hammocks were also great. Very relaxing. Cons: It's an old hotel that has some "upgrades" but it's lipstick on a pig. Our first room had stains all over the comforter so we asked for a different room. The second room had water stains on the ceiling from previous leaks and smelled like mold. The beds are awful. I'm 35 years old with no back problems and after the first night my back was killing me. The bathroom/shower was fine. Overall the property isn't being maintained. Also, everything is very expensive. Two drinks at the bar was $35 without tip. Two drinks outside at the pool were $33 without tip. The drinks outside were very watered down. They also used a cheap vodka/rum. Honestly I'm surprised this place received so many positive reviews. Just FYI - the beach chairs and umbrellas you see in pictures on the beach are not owned by the hotel. You have to pay to rent them.

Yelp
Wonderful location right on the beach! Amenities are good, staff very responsive. Had a beautiful corner room ocean front and overlooking the pools.

Yelp
I had a great recent stay that was so good I ended up booking another trip the day I got home. It's a great local vacation for us

Yelp
Had a bit of a mixup with reservations at another hotel and we were told to come here. I'm not usually fond of Marriott hotels, so I wasn't too happy. We walk in, gorgeous lobby - clean and beautifully decorated. We check in, go up to the room and totally shocked. Completely gorgeous with a ocean view. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Yelp
Just checked in and lots of work to do unfortunately and needed food. Gotta say. The food was top notch. The seared tuna was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The cucumber side was good and fresh. I liked the wasabi cream but could've been a tad more and a little heavier on the wasabi. Loved that they included chopsticks The Caesar said with grilled shrimp was also good. To get grilled shrimp in room service not over cooked was a treat substantial shaved Parmesan. These two hit the spot. Well done Marriott! And, can't beat that view.

Yelp
I came to the Marriott with a group for a conference. Overall it was nice and a hundred times better than the Hilton that I was in for the last conference. Parking was a little bit of a walk (& you could pay for valet), but it was available. I did use the gym, which was also pretty nice. My biggest complaints would be that the pool was kind of slimy (& there were a LOT of people there), the AC in my room did work but certainly did not cool to the temperature shown and the streaming HBO Go was super slow. The view of the beach and pools were spectacular though!!

Yelp
Eh, maybe a bad weekend because it rained entire time but felt this hotel was dated, parking garage and parking in general was a wet mess. Starbucks in hotel was a big PLUS but wasn't a real Sbux and the poor ladies behind counter were slammed in the morning. We were put in an adjoining room -- TERRIBLE. We could hear the couple beside us fighting from 11am until 1am while music was blaring. I called front desk at 1am and they quickly sent someone to quiet them. It was a mess. Not necessarily the hotels fault but the door in the adjoining rooms do not silence the room next door. People next door had no respect for neighbors with the yelling, loud music and slamming door. Left a bad taste in our mouth. Great location to food and activities. UPDATE: Front desk told me at 1AM they were taking the $25 resort fee off bill. Nice offer but I see they took off for only one night. Frankly, my wife and I sleep was worth more than $25. The Resort in off season is BS anyway. We received no benefit for the addtl expense.

Yelp
Location is all this hotel has going for it. The photos on Marriot page do not represent the current condition of property, hotel is 19 years old and it shows. The entire pool area needs to be shut down for pressure washing, landscaping and deep cleaning everywhere. The view is nice but can't see due to dirty windows everywhere. The garbage cans seem to always be overflowing. The game room is a joke and smells of mold. I see the Four Diamond award plaques on the wall but property is not delivering. Save money and research area for other options, Marriot is not what it used to be.

Yelp
We had never visited Myrtle Beach before, so my wife booked us at a Marriott knowing that this would be a good hotel. Wow! Am I glad she did! I had looked into less expensive options prior to arriving, as I thought the rates were a bit high. I can say, without hesitation, that I am so happy that she chose this place! The resort is crowded in behind some vacation club villas, and the signage was not exactly easy to follow, but once we pulled up to check in, the resort staff was AMAZING. Kevin took care of our bags, and he was so pleasant. Our room was good...about what you would expect from a Marriott. The partial view of the ocean, beach, and pools was nice. We quickly organized, and made our way to the pools. They are both clean and attractive. The pool attendant, Abigail, was very attentive and helpful. The next morning, we went to the breakfast buffet. We had spoken with the hostess, Beatta, the previous evening, so we were looking forward to seeing if her descriptions of the dining experience were accurate. And, they were! Everything was perfect. Tah'ja can create an omelet that is a work of art, all while entertaining the guests as they wait. Mo and Richie were the happiest, most pleasant wait staff imaginable. The other hostess, Alice, was similarly pleasant and helpful. In short, the breakfast experience really sold us on the resort. I met Paul, the Director of Food and Beverage, and I told him how great his staff members had represented themselves and the hotel. Paul was equally professional, and he made a point of checking on us each day. He really made us feel valued. There were other nice amenities, like the fruit infused water near the check-in area, and the fabulous little shop run by the sweet lady (from New York, sorry...I can't remember her name). They also had activities for children, a basketball court, ping pong, and a cornhole game. It's not at the same level as the JW Marriott at Marco Island, so there is an opportunity for this hotel to step up their game. We did not make use of the cabanas, as I didn't feel the need to drop $100 per day for one. Also, the beach chair/umbrella rental system seemed too pricey, so I would recommend that you take your own chairs and umbrellas to the beach. They told me that price was not set by the hotel, but instead was a city fee. Whatever! Take your own! In short, the stay was AMAZING because of the staff! The resort is pretty great, mostly because of its location. And, as I noted previously, you definitely do not want to go shopping for cheap accommodations in Myrtle Beach. There were some shady (not good) places much further south. Kudos to the staff! Everyone seemed to be polite and pleasant! Thanks for a great week, Paul, Mo, Richie, Tah'ja, Beatta, Alice, Kevin, Abigail, and everyone else who I can't specifically name. You were great!

Yelp
I can't say enough great things about this resort! During this difficult time this location really gives you the feel of vacations pre covid times, but also makes you feel safe because they take a lot of safety precautions. Everything is from the rooms to the amenities are super clean. They have anything that you could need on the resort, you wouldn't even need to resort if you didn't want to and you can still have an amazing time. My favorite amenity was definitely the hot tub. But if you do decide to leave, it's not far from restaurants and other tourist attractions. If I ever make it back to Myrtle Beach, I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else.

Yelp
It was our first stay in Myrtle Beach, we booked a room for 3 nights that had few issues, maybe the staff was rushed in the cleaning or sth, but we talked to the front desk, Deepak was super kind, helpful and caring. He upgraded our room and double-checked if everything is alright after that, we had a great stay, can't complain about anything , btw my husband lost his sunglasses but they called us as soon as they found them. Super friendly staff, clean room, and pools, and good food. P.S: just keep that in mind, if you need the room cleaning services during your stay you need to give them a call.

Yelp
Stayed here for a family vacation, and overall we were disappointed with the experience. Spent $700 for 2 nights after reading some reviews and assuming it's a 5 star resort, but we learnt that our money would be much better spent in AirBnB or at another resort. In any other good city, this "resort" would be 2 star at best - crumbling popcorn ceilings, salty and unkept swimming pools, tiny room sizes and bad food and bar (mostly just instant grocery store stuff). Only pro is that its next to the ocean which is a low bar for a beach city. Would definitely not spend that much to stay here. $80 a night max is what it's worth.
