This was our first time staying at this Resort and we were pleasantly surprised. We have stayed at other Resorts on the same property and loved them so we opted to try this one for a last minute trip. From the moment we arrived on property we were greeted by wonderful staff who had smiles on their face and answered all our questions regarding the property. We stayed in the 3-bedroom which was very spacious and we had an amazing view of the golf course, a pond, and the Orlando World Center Marriott. During the day, we were able to see the hot air balloon from Disney Springs. At night, we were able to see and hear multiple sets of fireworks from the Disney theme parks. The property has multiple pools that were never packed, and you can also go over to the Orlando World Center to use their pools and a couple of their water slides (water park costs extra). There are tons of activities offered around the whole property, along with dining options. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and will be returning again.

The jets in the jacuzzi in my villa didn't work, and I had to wait over 30 minutes before giving up hope to use the outside gas grills on the property. Other than that, my stay for 6 days was great. The property and villas were very clean. The front desk personnel were friendly and professional. The assistant manager did apologize for the long wait for maintenance to use the grill. Regarding the jacuzzi, to be fair, I didn't report it as it as late at night and on my last night at the resort. I've stayed on the adjacent property several times and will do so again.

We are owners and have this a try. The resort is well maintained a. S beautiful. It's an older property which gives you the advantage of larger sized rooms. The rooms are well kept and up dated. It's located adjacent to the World Marriott and there's a shuttle. You have access to the pool and can bill back to your villa from the Marriott also. Not a bad place but we missed the large amount of activities the other Orlando area resorts have. The location would be perfect for Disney.

Lovely stay with my family. Great size room and very clean and comfortable. Location is very convenient to shopping and dining and of course the Disney Resorts. Good layout and wonderful golf course views. An efficient holiday if you do not mind cooking or just chilling out with your loved ones. Will definitely return!

We only spent 1 night while in orlando. We had a 3 bed room villa for 9 of us. Very spacious, great layout. Fully equipped for every need even washer and dryer. Looking forward to staying again

Nice place but I do have a few comments. First we stayed in a disabled villa and was wondering why in the shower shampoos, conditioner and shower gel was so high to reach. When in a wheelchair one can not reach it. | My next concern is why there was (apparently) a concert so loud on a Thursday night. It seemed like it was in our back yard. ? The golf course was nice, as well as the pools.

The first night on site i woke up congested and sore throat! This continued for several night till i went to walkin center and got medication. The bathroom sink wouldnt drain and apartment needs cosmetic repairs. We stayed in two bedoorm overlooking the golf course which was nice. When grandkids came over we noticed their socks were pitch black from the carpet. Closer inspection showed the were terribly dirty. I am not positive if this contibuted to my sickness but gods know whats inside those carpets.|The main office of Marriott gave me the typical run around. I had thught about joining the Vacation Club but now have second thought from lack of concern and reply from Marriott.

Overall our stay here was great. The rooms were very nice. The only thing that was missing a cleaning was the jacuzzi tub, but otherwise it was very clean. Parking was plentiful, and the amenities were nice and within walking distance. Our only drawback was when we arrived early (1pm), we were told the housing staff was just waiting for signoff on our unit before we could go in, and that process took until 4pm when we came back to the counter. Not upset since 4pm was check-in anyways, but it feels a little sluggish that all that was missing for our room was paperwork and we could go in. But otherwise this place is great!

Yelp
Fabulous 3 bedroom condos that are well kept. The local facilities included 2 family friendly pools with "hot" hot tubs, basketball, bocce ball, and tennis courts. There is a small store in the lobby area to buy cooking essentials that are not too overly priced. They offer a free - and very fast shuttle service up to the Marriott World Center. Special call out to the checkin/checkout staff - Amber and Olive - they made a fantastic first impression of the hotel. Very accommodating. i would definitely come back. Note - Yelp has incorrectly spelled Marriott.

Yelp
I write this review sitting at the Royal Palm's pool, watching my children have an amazing time. We are a family of 6, so as you can probably guess, hotel stays aren't always the most comfortable. At best, they're always a little cramped. Not here. The two bedroom villa was absolutely perfect for our needs. There was plenty of space for relaxing--I have not heard "Moooooom! He/she's in my space!" even once since our arrival. This alone is priceless. As another reviewer stated, the villas do look out over a golf course. It's a beautiful view, and it's quiet. This could be because it's December, but it's lovely nonetheless. The room itself is immaculate. Each room is generously proportioned with plenty of room for all the accoutrements that come with traveling with four children. The master is large enough my husband and I to close the door and pretend we are alone: we can open a bottle of wine and sit in the small master bedroom seating area and drink it while looking out over the course. This stay has been such a fantastic experience that from now on, I will look for Marriott villa properties first when we travel as a family.

Yelp
Although I usually stay on Disney property when I visit Orlando, a recent trip to central Florida brought me to Marriott's Royal Palms and a 2-bedroom villa for my cousin and me. Going in with moderate expectations, I was quite surprised at how great these accommodations were! I didn't spend too much time exploring the hotel (I rarely do when visiting Walt Disney World), but I would certainly consider staying here again because of the location of the hotel and comfort and size of the villas. To start, I love how these villas are laid out. After walking through the front door, it's just a few steps ahead to a full-size kitchen (complete with a refrigerator, oven, microwave, toaster, and dishwasher -- the works!) and large living room. Beyond that, you'll find two completely independent bedroom areas, each of which contains a locked off bedroom, bathroom and closet space. You could very comfortably fit two couples in here (or a family of 4-5) and never see each other except in the common area. Awesome way to set up a villa if you like a little privacy. Beyond the layout, the rooms here are also modern and clean. The bathrooms contain a tub shower and great counter space by the sink. And the beds? Super comfortable! I slept soundly through the night thanks to the moderately-firm mattress and silky sheets. And the location, as I mentioned, is great. It's just a 5-10 minute ride to Epcot, and a 10-15 minute ride to Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom, or the Magic Kingdom. Plus, this hotel is close to the outlets, Walmart/Target, Little Lake Bryan shopping and International Drive (and 417). For staying off Disney property, it's not a bad location at all. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my experience staying here. Although I'll likely continue to stay on Disney property on most visits, this will be my first choice if I decide otherwise (or if rooms at Disney are full).

Yelp
Personally LOVE Marriott resorts! The customer service is always supreme and the royal palms condos are no different. The best part is you can walk (or take a free shuttle whenever you want) to the Marriott World Center hotel which has an incredible pool with water slides, a bar/restaurant, a grassy area with a ping pong table etc. Plenty of umbrellas if you need shade. Royal Palms has its own pool but I prefer the bigger hotel one. There's also a handful of daily activities. I did the water aqua jive in the morning and the instructor was friendly and fun. You can't really go wrong!

Yelp
We love this place. We stayed here last year during the hurricane. We always exchange into this property when we are in the area. Plus we get Marriott Reward points. The units are spacious. Our 2 BR comes with a full kitchen, a full bath, as well as an en-suite with shower and jacuzzi tub. It's also very close to WDW.

Yelp
Amazingly wonderful villa, staff, and location. My family recently stayed for 9 nights in a 2BR at the Royal Palms for our Disney-centric Orlando vacation and we were extraordinarily pleased. To begin with the villas are enormous and exceptionally well laid out for an extended stay. The furnishings and beds are quite comfortable, the full kitchen is spacious and well equipped, and there is a separate and private laundry room far removed from the living and sleeping spaces. The staff was exceptional. From check-in through various and sundry interactions through our stay (asking questions, checking out videos from the library, buying food and drink at the Marketplace, etc.) they were unfailingly helpful and polite. We also belong to DVC and while we generally prefer to stay 'on-property' I must say that the Royal Palms were the nicest 'off-property' accommodations we've experienced in Orlando. And the location definitely didn't hurt - during our entire stay we never had to venture onto that slowly moving parking lot known as I-4.

Michelle D.

Yelp
Service is kinda rude. And it's expensive for what you get. Our room had nmine of the basic amenities like lotion or extra blankets. And there was an annoying light on behind the bed that no one knew how to turn off. Had to crawl under the bed and unplug it.

Samantha L.

Yelp
What can I say? Comfortable beds, nice down pillows in all the rooms, and believe it or not, even the pull out couch was comfortable! The pull out couch was actually very cushiony and very soft! I was very impressed, and it did not feel like a "pull out" couch at all, a much improvement from the old standard pull out couch where you feel the bars on your back. The room also features a full size kitchen and a great view in the morning while sipping a nice cup of coffee. There are also flat screen tv's in all the rooms and I was impressed with having 'On The Demand' on all our tv's! We also had a washer and dryer in our rooms! The location is great and close to all the Disney attractions. I highly recommend this hotel!

Yelp
Very nice vacation villas. Clean and comfortable stay. My family will be back again The staff were very helpful and attentive.

Yelp
Pros: 1) close driving proximity to Disney theme parks 2) accommodating, friendly staff 3) reupdated, modern rooms with great full sized kitchens complete with all the appliances you need Cons: 1) the one reason I'm giving this place one star is due to the adjacent golf course. If you're sleeping in one of the rooms with a connecting patio door that overlooks the course (master bedroom) and are a light sleeper, you WILL get woken up EVERY morning before 8 AM. Why? Because they mow the lawn. And sometimes it's at 5 AM!!! So unless you're a super early bird, do not stay here because when we called the front desk, they said EVERY villa overlooks the course.

Yelp
We visited this property this past weekend. I was very excited to find out that we were able to use the facilities at the Marriott World Center as that is where I wanted to stay, but we also needed extra space and the space won in this case. (Shuttles are provided to take you from these condos over to the Marriott World Center's amazing pool!) The room was huge and clean. The kitchen is large and I love the counter space, I was able to make breakfast for my friends and serve them at the counter. For dinners we would sit at the table that seated 8. The kitchen has all the dishes and appliances that you need. The master bedroom was AMAZING. The bed was so comfortable! The bedroom is very open with with a massive jacuzzi tub and counter with two sinks, the shower and toilet are in a different room. The secondary bedroom was spacious, but had a lot of cabinets to put stuff in. The 2nd bathroom was also very small with very low counters. Not a huge deal. I love that they had a washer & dryer right in the room! The living area was comfortable with a large tv and a dvd player. The porch was nice, overlooking the golf course. I would have given this hotel 5 stars because I really liked it, but we did have a few issues. The cable did not work in the second bedroom, the shower in the second bathroom would not get hot, even after running it for 20 minutes and the shower door on the master bedroom did not shut correctly/easily.

Yelp
I recently stayed here while in Orlando for a conference. I walked into my suite and looked around for the Golden Girls but didn't see any of them even though the room looked like their condo. The room was very dated and not that clean I couldn't tell if the couch was dirty of if it was just discolored. The shower had someone's hair on it and the bathroom floor didn't look like it had been swept in a while. I found a used dental floss pick thing under the bed along with crumbs and dust balls. There were a few good things, the place is a timeshare condo and had a full kitchen with dinning area living area, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, washer and dryer and a screen in patio with table and chairs to sit at and enjoy your meals. The staff was cordial and the shuttle drivers were nice enough to pick us up outside our building instead of making us walk over to the office to get picked up during the torrential downpour they where having due to the tornado warnings they were having in the next county. Just a note about the place they have no restaurants on site you have to take the shuttle over to the Orlando World Center Marriott to find something to eat or take your car somewhere else to eat or buy groceries to cook for yourself.

Yelp
Spent a few days at Royal Palms and I had an amazing time. It truly felt like a home away from home with the 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, jacuzzi, full kitchen, laundry area, and balcony. It's also very close to Walt Disney World and the Orlando Premium Outlets, so that was very convenient for my family and I. I also loved how I was able to make use of the amenities in the Marriott World Center, as well as the shuttle services, pool, and golf areas. Every staff member I encountered was extremely kind, hospitable, and helpful. :) I look forward to returning.

Yelp
Well my wife is at Marriott royal palms resort now for one week. First night running across the wall a roach. An she found wings on the furniture. She called front desk an they trying to say they are palmettos. They are not. What is going with Marriott lately. We have been An owner for twenty years an gold member for several years at the Marriott grand vista. Never had this issue before. I hope my wife does not bring the critters home with her. They are going to spray tomorrow. I told her to wash the dishes before she uses them an shake out her shoes. Not satisfied. I have one star to post an for front desk. Not to mention the cabinets are coming apart in kitchen an furniture beat up. Only good thing they have a great front desk my wife said. If she didn't pre pay for the stay. already in advance I told her to leave.

Yelp
This was our first time on this vacation club. We had a 2 bedroom villa and it was big and spacious. We loved it. The service was great. The activities in the resort, well I wasn't impress. Now I did love that since we where staying here you could use the amenities of the world center Marriott. The pool was huge and the water slide was really fun. Over all it was a very good expirience.

Joyce A.

Yelp
I just stayed in this establishment this past week for my girlfriend's wedding. We were greeted by such friendly staff. Rachelle was my girl! She was super accommodating and helpful with any questions or concerns my friends and I had. The villa, the pool, everything was very well kept and clean. All the staff I met along the way were friendly and always smiled. I would definitely stay here again!

Ravi B.

Yelp
This timeshare resort automatically loses two stars for two simple reasons: 1. The suite is badly designed for children. When you walk in, there is a small foyer that leads to the kitchen on your left and the second (smaller) bedroom on your right (with the living room and master bedroom straight ahead). However, jutting out into the hallway is the breakfast bar, which is made of a huge slab of granite. I can imagine more than a few kids have banged their heads on it. 2. Lack of security. We were able to drive into the resort and walk into the pool and clubhouse area without anyone asking us anything (we were visiting). Given the price, there should be some sort of security out in force to deter crashers (and robbers). Other than that, it is conveniently located to Disney and gives you access to the Marriott World Center, which has an even larger pool area, not to mention overpriced restaurants.

Michael N.

Yelp
If you are a bad person during your life, some people think you go to hell. I think you go to Orlando. What a shithole. But for some reason I got a good room here. Nice bed. Nice kitchen. Nice bathroom, and a big comfy tub. If you must go to hell, make a reservation here.

Justin P.

Yelp
First time trying a vacation club and overall a great experience. Check in was slightly later that expected but otherwise we loved it. Huge suite that was updated nicely. Very clean and a good value. Close to Disney!

Jordan N.

Yelp
Every single morning of this vacation we were woken up early by the staff here. Banging on the roof at 8am on a Sunday, workers yelling outside of our rooms at 7:45am, cutting grass at 4am!!! Absolutely ridiculous! Will never ever stay here again!

Amy B.

Yelp
My apartment at the Marriott's Royal Palms was huge and lovely, so I am a fan. This two bedroom, two bathroom apartment was more than I bargained for when booking a hotel room for a conference. I definitely did not use all that space. However, I really appreciated the screened-in patio where I worked one morning, and the light blue decor throughout that gave the apartment a sunny and open feel. This would be a great hotel choice for a family or group, particularly if you want to make some of your own meals in the full kitchen. This is much more like an apartment complex than a hotel. You are renting people's time share apartments when they're not using them. Accordingly, you may have to walk a bit through the complex to get to your suite, and there isn't much of a centralized lobby. The registration building includes a small gym (with glass walls so everyone else in the building can see you work out) and a convenience store. There is also a pool and a grill for shared use. The staff was super-friendly. They offered to drive me from registration to my room (I passed) and operate a shuttle to the Marriott World Resort on the property. One thing that I did not like about the Royal Palms is that there was no good place to run. The property is surrounded by a golf course with walking paths, but if people are playing, these are unsafe to use (and joggers are requested not to). As a result, you'd see people (including me) doing their best to rack up mileage doing laps of the property.

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE! Many very expensive things were stolen from me here and even though I call every day, not one person has helped me!!! The story: My brother booked a place here for my family because he's a platinum member and has stayed in a downtown Orlando Marriott 3-4 nights a week for 2 years now. I left a toiletries bag that contained a family heirloom bracelets and my original retainer, among other expensive toiletries/jewelry. I realized it was not with me the same day we checked out and we called right away. They said to call back in the morning to check with house keeping. House keeping eventually called me back after a suspiciously long time said nothing was found. That is impossible, I know PRECISELY where I left the items in the room and I was the last one to leave. Front desk said all they could do is file a claim with Liberty Mutual but Liberty Mutual hasn't called me either, 1 week after Royal Palms said they would!!! I call Liberty Mutual several times but no one has called me back!! I was born missing half of my adult teeth so the dental bills alone just to get a new one total $1,000. That price does not include the braces I may need if my teeth have moved too much. Someone from Marriott better help me now or this is going to blow up into an even bigger problem. My brother is already thinking of moving him and his team to a different hotel chain. I just looked up the prices for where he stays...not including his daily meals, it would be a loss of $38,000 yearly for just him alone. Your move, Marriott.

Courtney E.

Yelp
We've traded into several Marriott hotels through Interval International and this one by far is our favorite! You cannot beat the location to Disney World - you're the last possible street light before you get to those beautiful Disney World gates! It was a five minute drive to EPCOT and about 10 mins to Magic Kingdom. You're close enough to a grocery store so you can stock up your HUGE kitchen with food for the week. The reviews on this page are sadly out of date, so we need to add new pictures. They've been redone probably in the last 2-3 years. Granite kitchen countertops, beautiful modern furniture and comfy/fluffy beds that take you to dreamland after an exhausting day at the parks. CHESTER was awesome at Check-in and got our vacation off to the right start. It was super quiet during our stay. We were on the third floor of four and never once heard our neighbors upstairs. (Which is good because we're always nervous about guests juggling bowling balls at 3am). Plenty of parking. Good location. Clean rooms with lots of space and a full-size washer dryer so you can do your laundry or wash your bathroom towels mid-week. No complaints about this place at all. Everything was fabulous!!!! FREE INTERNET. PS: The water here did NOT smell like swamp, which is a first for us at any Orlando resort. That alone makes this place a must-do again. I cannot tell you how gross it is to go to other resorts and bathe in water that smells terrible. This place's water is so clean!!

Homeless C.

Yelp
Stayed at this resort last month and it was very nice. Had a few kinks to work out but they told us they were redoing the resort (3bedrooms) this summer. Parking needs work but you might have to walk a bit. Overall very nice quite well kept. Fast service close to office and pools. Didn't see any security people and not a gated community so they should have a better setup or move people doing security. Staying at the Royal Palms now (2 bedroom) and not as nice.

Tasha V.

Yelp
I used my reward points to stay at this Marriott. My friends and I were pleasantly surprised at how incredibly nice the property was & how nice our villa was. It's a Marriott....what more can I say. My experience with Marriott in general has always been good! I will def go back to this resort again!

J C.

Yelp
I stayed at the royal palms next door but couldn't find them on yelp. The rooms are very clean, beautiful, beds and pillows are excellent. Checkin is at 4 we arrived 330, desk ppl said rooms weren't ready yet so we waited. Wound up waiting til 530 which just made a long travel day even longer. Their responses to us asking is it ready was useless and they could tell how irritated we were, apologies were useless as well. Many other ppl were checking in and getting rooms. We finally get our room and they ask are you celebrating anything? We tell them yes, they say they'll send something up for the happy couple and the whole week went by and we never got anything. Because it wasn't for me personally I called the desk 2 times asking and the first girls says what would we send up? Really? Idk perhaps whatever the desk person was suggesting. The 2nd girl was sweet as pie and says I'll give my mgr a note...ok.... nothing! Morons don't say you're gonna do something if you're not going to! Also you use to be able to call for clean towels and garbage removal, not anymore. It's $10 a day for that or do it yourself. There are washers and dryers in room. This place allows you to take a shuttle over to the world class Marriott to use their amazing pool. So we went and they have sun lounges double wide with an awning. Last time we came they were free. This time they were for rent $100 a day but u get two bottles of Fiji water! $100?!?! It's January and there were maybe ten ppl poolside! They have regular lounges too but that's not the point. Ridiculous! I could see $25 but not $100 Now you know and won't be annoyed like me! Have a nice trip.

Andrew W.

Yelp
The reviews on here seem to be old and outdated. I did not see anything in any of the rooms I went into (family occupied three total rooms throughout the complex) that would lead me to think "Golden Girls." The units were big, spacious and up to date. Our particular until was right on Hawks Landing Golf Club which provided beautiful views from our screened in porch. My biggest knock on the unit by far was the shower! Pressure coming from the shower was lame and it took a solid minute before the water was hot enough to actually get in. The pool area was very nice and included two hot tubs. There was a separate smoking area so that you did not have to be around smokers the whole day which also was a nice touch. Location was amazing! 5 minutes or less to Disney, under 10 to Universal and Sea World.

DJ W.

Yelp
Spend three nights here. Choose this resort for their three-bedroom units. Check-in was great; Staff great; unit was comfortable and clean. Easy drive to Theme Parks and restaurants. No problem with parking; WiFi was strong and good. Just wish the weather would have cooperated so we could have used the pool area, which looked nice. I would return again.
