Marriott's Lakeshore Reserve

I have stayed at a few different Marriott vacation club resorts in Orlando and this one is the most relaxing. The lazy river is surrounded by lush greenery, you really feel like you are in the tropics and not in Orlando. The path to JW provides access to Starbucks and other restaurants. I had a wonderful breakfast at Citron and was able to charge it to my room. The food at Blossom was also better than expected. Everything you needed was there which made for a very relaxing stay. ||||I had 2 pool days during my week long stay and thoroughly enjoyed both. The lazy river temperature was perfect. While I didn't go on the waterslides, my brother in law enjoyed them so much he went on them 20xs (no exaggeration). ||||Bird watching here is great, there were many different kinds around the lake. There were ducks in the pool and little salamanders everywhere. ||||The villa was spacious and everything worked as expected. ||||Thank you to everyone at the front desk (sorry, forgot names) and Brittany at the concierge who all made me feel so welcome on my first stay at Lakeshore Reserve and it won't be my last!

Had a very relaxing weekend at Marriott's Lakeshore Reserve! Definitely exceeded my expectations. Great amenities. Pool and lazy river was relaxing and it was heated! Also loved that there are free cabanas with counches & loungers) My daughter had fun on the water slides, the playground, and yard games. Our room was nice. Decent amount of space for 2 adults and 2 young kids (we had a studio room since it was a short weekend stay). Might be our new favorite Orlando Marriott resort. We will definitely return!

This place is absolutely gorgeous, a little slice of paradise. We stayed here for our honeymoon and loved our stay. It’s just an Uber away from everything you need. The restaurant here may have been the best food we ate in Orlando. We loved the staff, shoutout to Kevin who ran the activities. We’ll definitely be coming back in the future. Just be sure to bring your own floaties.

We loved this RESORT. Parking was SECURE and easy. The gardens were well kept and STUNNING 😍. Pool area was lovely. Room was more than adequate. We are from the UK and all the American guests were so hospitable to us which was such a nice start to our holiday. We stayed 5 night before travelling onto other parts of Florida. This location is just perfect for Disney and is a short drive away for loads of eaterys for breakfast and dinner. |I would HIGHLY recommend this resort as loved every second of it. Book this place you will not be disappointed and my husband and I are quite critical people but could not find any faults with this place

Stayed here within the last two weeks. While the grounds are just lovely, and the lazy river is very nice, the beds are...not good. My spouse described them as RV mattresses, about 6" thick on a plywood platform -- he was "less than impressed". If you like a firm mattress, you might be happy. I had to go out and buy a mattress topper for our short stay here, and, even then, there was little sleep. Without decent sleep, little else matters...not even a friendly, helpful staff and friendly fellow guests...or the collies who kept asking to be petted.|We were in a villa nearer to the JW, so walking those grounds was pretty easy, although we were going to stay there later in the trip.|Lakeshore Reserve is just over 15 minutes from the airport, and maybe 10 minutes to Sea World. There is a Wawa less than a mile away, and we had no difficulty getting to anything else of interest to us in Orlando. NB: the beach is close to an hour, depending on which beach, but it is a direct drive.|Final note, the steel drum music was a bit loud, so, while we walked down to see the show, we had to sit some distance from it. I don't suggest trying to order wine from the bar...only wine is in CANS. Someone did offer to go get a manager to open the market shop so we could purchase something not in a can...but, at 9 p.m., not worth the trouble for one glass of wine.

Great property, great experience, EXCEPT for one thing - and that is why I am giving this a 4 star rating instead of five:||The hallways are FREEZING cold!!!||Stayed here a few months back. Beautiful property! Friendly staff! Incredible pool! But freezing hallways!!! ||Why the property does this makes no sense. Why waste the money? ||The average temperature in the hallways is around 19 degrees celsius (66 degrees fahrenheit). This is very cold, even from European standards, especially if you are a bit wet from the pool.

Nice property with a great, family-friendly pool area. Unfortunately, the front desk experience leaves a lot to be desired. There seems to be an expectation that guests will spend large parts of their vacation compensating for poor administration. Check-in was slow, with a long line, and I had to visit the concierge separately just to get a parking pass. They couldn’t locate my reservation in the system, so I was sent back to reception. I also requested a late check-out, but it wasn’t recorded—so my key stopped working. After a lengthy debate about whether I had actually made the request, I had to wait for security to let me back into my room. To make matters worse, housekeeping (who also hadn’t been informed of the late checkout) walked in on my 9-year-old daughter and then came by a second time. Overall, this property seems better suited for longer stays. For shorter visits, the administrative hassle outweighs the otherwise nice atmosphere.

Here on a vacation with my pregnant wife, have had an awesome time besides one thing. The concierge here was less than helpful, we asked her about booking dinners and or lunches and she rudely just said “yeah just book it on open table”, we asked her about local restaurants not at the hotel (we had eaten lunch and dinner the day prior at the hotel and wanted to explore) and she proceeded to tell us all about the hotel restaurants and we had to ask again about local spots before she said “well the hotel restaurants are great”. I get it, you work for the hotel and need to push for the hotel restaurants but that was an insane cooperate robot answer and not helpful. We basically had to walk away and my pregnant wife almost started crying because this woman just didn’t care. ||Spencer at Blossoms was incredible though, great dude actually cared, very helpful, gave us some good spots to check out.

The resort is nice and had great potential but cleanliness and customer service are everything to me and they failed at both. Upon arrival, we found the following in our two bedroom villa (photos attached): 1. Broken glass on floor in master bedroom 2. Open safety pin on floor in second bedroom 3. Some gross mushed substance on floor in hallway 4. Large crumb of food on floor Called front desk to report this that night, they said nobody from housekeeping was there at that time and that they'd call me tomorrow. Housekeeping did call the next day and I asked them to thoroughly clean the floors. We came back that night and found the same large crumb in the same spot! (At least they cleaned the one mushed mess) Housekeeping followed up the next day and when I mentioned the crumb was still there , she said she'd come to my room right now so I could show her what she missed. That's a bit confrontational and I don't agree with them talking to guests that way... Went to front desk and asked for a manager , they said no one was in and took a message. Here we are still here 2 days later and still no call from manager. We asked for towels today and they didn't show up for 45 mins and we had to leave so I called front desk and asked that they please just drop the towels in the room but that the room did not need refreshing (I don't like people touching my things) they still refreshed the room which I would have let go except that they threw my personal makeup towel on the back of the toilet! Went back to front desk asking for manager, shocker- still not one here....

Cannot believe that I haven't reviewed this location yet. This is our favorite Marriott vacation club resort. The larger bedroom option includes a decent size kitchen area, and the one-bedroom villa is spectacular for two people. The only problem we have with this location is that it fills up fast and is sometimes hard to get reservations for. Pricing is very reasonable for its location and size of the villas. The pool and lazy river area is perfection. The rooms and pool area are always so clean, we have spent many a pool day here on our trips. Bring your own pool float, they will blow it up for you at the shop by the pool. Check-in is always a breeze, and staff is very friendly without any pushy sales issues at check-in unlike other locations. You will receive several calls prior to arrival trying to sell you Marriott vacation timeshares, but if you tell them you are not interested, they will stop calling. Parking is included and the lots are well lit and feel safe. Cannot speak to the food options as we usually eat near-by or cook in our room. Very close to WDW, Disney Springs, and Universal locations. Publix, Outlet mall, and tons of restaurants in the area. This is an amazing, beautiful option when staying in the Orlando area.

Lovely landscaping, beautiful flowers and big open indoor/ outdoor lobby. Pleasant staff. Renovated rooms / bathrooms still have no hooks for sweaters, rain gear, bathing suits, bags - whatever. The highlight of this timeshare resort is the lazy river 'pool'. Sadly, even though the pool manager was notified 3+ times during our week that the water level was below the skimmers, the waterfall rarely on and there were 1000s of small leaves etc in the water, nothing was done until Friday (coincidentally Friday is when points needed to stay more than quadruples). During the week we talked with other guests and learned they notified the front desk as well. Blossoms, the restaurant, was very good and the staff is exceptional. Try the mixology activity! Salads, tacos, drinks & burgers were good, (pizza good if you like thick bread). Decent value and convenient as well.

We only stayed here 1 night. We flew into Orlando to go to West Palm Beach and overnighted at Lakeshore Reserve. The grounds are beautiful. It has magnificent gardens that are well kept. We enjoyed our morning walk. This seems to be a good place for adults without children to stay. Many of the resorts in Orlando are packed with children. This resort is relaxing, beautiful, and quiet.

Beautiful grounds, tropical feel here in Orlando . Rooms have been completely done. Warm & comfy- amazing staff- feels like family!! Would definitely come back to stay. Everything from beginning to end of our stay was amazing.

What's there to say? We spent a week here for a staycation and had a wonderful time. The facilities are very well take care off. All areas are meticulously clean and the greenery surrounding the resort is breathtaking, you wouldn't know you are in Orlando it you choose to stay at the resort the entire time. The villas have a full kitchen, washer and drier and you can get delivery's from nearby restaurants or you can eat at their pool restaurant. All employees are wearing masks at all times and you are requested to wear masks when walking to the pool but most people didn't wear it. The place was NOT packed and everyone kept space between them as there is ample areas to sit and rest. The pool to me always felt empty (that's good) on the worst day there must have been 30 to 40 people at the pool area. You can bring your own food and beverage from your room down to the pool area OR you can purchase from their little pool restaurant. The servers are kind and attentive. We had a blast using the slides, pool table and just walking around the property. We got to meet a few people and overall would highly recommend this resort to anyone. I can't wait to come back next year!!

Long time Marriott Vacation Club members (Executive level, that means nothing) visiting this resort late Feb to early March 2024. First bad experience: they made us go to the concierge desk for our parking pass. This was so a sales person could take a run at us to purchase even more property by attending a 75 minute presentation. Treated like just another pigeon. Our unit was nice, but midway through our second week, a contractor showed up to re build the two pergola's below our 2nd floor patio. Noise and workmen from 9 am to 6 pm every day. No overture to compensate us for this loss of use. Nice going Marriott! Bet you wouldn't treat your cash customers this way.

From the time we arrived, which was before check in, until the time we departed, we were made to feel like VIP guests. The room was beautiful, the grounds were meticulously maintained, and the hotel is in a very convenient location to Sea World and the convention center. It's away from the hustle and bustle, but still within a few miles. We'll definitely be back! I'm shocked to see the negative reviews. If you arrive early, expect to not be able to check in early and hope for the best, like any other hotel. If you're upset about 2 ducks swimming in the lazy river, get a life. As a borderline germaphobe, myself, the water was as clean as it could have been. There was probably more urine in it from the families floating in the water than from the TWO ducks.

Front desk clerk (Spanish Lady) working on 12/23 day shift, was not very enthusiastic when I arrived. No greeting or welcome, seemed irritated to be working. The concierge was no where to be found to get my parking pass. The rooms was very dated and smelled of old carpet and furniture. Couch looked and smelled very old. Rooms needs remodeling badly. Kitchen is getting old. Most of the employees seems irritated to be working there, I would not stay here again or worst ,ever consider buying this timeshare property.

Beautiful! I rented a 2 bedroom villa and I think it was perfect for my family. It was clean, quiet, spacious and very inviting. I arrived late at night so I needed to get to my room quickly. The check-in process was seamless. They made it so easy and gave me plenty of options when thinking of how to entertain my kiddos. This place is amazing for people traveling with a large group. I was traveling with kids so I needed ample space for my clan. I was trying to figure out why check-out is so early. 10AM with small kids is kind of tough. I think they should look into doing the 11AM or 12PM check out options. I am up super early to pack and get ready to leave because once the kids are up I have less than 2 hours to get all of them out of here. We aren't far from the amusement parks but not in the hustle and bustle either. This location is a happy median. I have so many people who are coming to this area and I am sure we will return if we can leave later. I am not trying to end my vacation by waking up before the crack of dawn lol.

The 1st time staying wasn't so bad but the next time we left 3 pieces of clothing in the dryer. Contacted their lost and found just hours after we checked out a day early and the 3 pieces of clothing was never returned. To folks that plan on staying here, before you leave do a thorough check that you have all your stuff before you leave because you will more likely never see it again. Starting to wonder what type of people MVCI hires.

Although this property is clean and beautiful, I'm only giving it one star. We called at 9:30am and were told that our room would be ready in 30 minutes, so we planned our day accordingly. Well upon arrival we were informed our room was not ready! When attempting to find out when our room would be ready we were kept waiting, actually standing at the check in area for a good 30 minutes. At that point we were told probably 30-45 minutes, so we went to have a drink and a snack. An hour later we went back and it took another 15 minutes before we were given our room keys. Had we initially been advised that our room would not be ready, we would have gone directly to an event we were there for. Instead we missed part of something we had planned to be at. So late room and ask for a late check out ( because check out is 10:00am) and we're were told no! So we were in this room for less than 24 hours. This is not the way we have ever been treated at a Marriott and just want people to know what to expect. Oh and not to sure how sanitary it is that ducks were swimming in the pool.

We overall had a wonderful time at this Marriott! It has been one of our favorite stays to date. PROS - Shoutout to Monique and Viv. They were both so kind and made us feel so welcome! - The lazy river was a gamechanger. - The walking path up to the Ritz is very nice. - We would highly recommend their complementary escape room experience. It takes under an hour and is a great family activity! We were impressed! (Though it is free you do need to reserve a spot in advance, as space is limited) - We also enjoyed "Flamingo Bingo" and "Disney Name That Tune" - Enjoying the sunshine and golf course view from our balcony was amazing! CONS - We were warned ahead of time, but there was a landscaping day during our stay which was a bit noisy and also resulted in quite a bit of debris in pool. - Also, I'm not an expert, but that "landscaping" seemed to involve unearthing beautiful, full, beds of flowers and putting a smaller version of that same flower in. Was that necessary? - There was only 1 pool towel supplied per guest, but you could request additional from the front desk. They were very accomodating in supplying us additional towels, but I'd prefer a towel cart/drop instead of having request extras or use the same pool towel for a week.

Our stay here was great overall. The low ratings is due to functionality and issues with our room. Otherwise this would be a four or five star review. I'll start with the positives: Great resort, great staff and overall facilities. We really enjoyed the pool, gym, walking paths, activities for both kids and adults, and the overall beautiful resort. JW Marriott and Ritz Carlton next door added some pool and restaurant options. Now the downsides and reason for the low marks: Our party was in two different rooms/two reservations. One was a two-bedroom and was great. I believe the other was what they call a Studio Deluxe. It's a one bedroom plus a living room. The door to the bedroom closes and you can technically sleep four. The bed in the master bedroom was amazingly comfortable. Bathroom was a decent size. However, we heard a banging in the wall throughout our stay. Engineers heard it as well, but could not resolve it. The front desk did apply a $50 credit to our account, but they didn't offer to move us. Being a holiday week I assume no other availability. While I don't fault them for this and the issue is technically beyond their control, they said we were not the first to report it... so why are we in this room? The other major issue in the room is the kitchen, which was very unusable. The kitchen in the two bedroom unit was fine. But we couldn't cook on the stove with the pots that were provided. They were too big for the burners and wouldn't heat up. There was simply no room on the counter for using the toaster at the same time as the coffee maker. The water faucet was too big for the tiny sink, so water was constantly spilling on the floor. The kitchen just wasn't functional. I would love to return to this resort, but never in this size room. While we own through Marriott, this was an exchange through Interval International. We were aware of the room size, but expected Marriott to have a usable kitchen.

We have been absolutely disgusted with the Marriott lakeshore reserve. From their customer service, to communication and lastly when we checked into our room we were taking the bed sheets off our 3 year olds bed and at the very bottom of the sheet, on the underside was old dried phlegm. (Please see pictures.) They have been rude and not helpful at all. In fact yesterday, I walked into the he lobby and overheard another customer complaining to the front desk manager about how rude he was treated. This is NOT ok. I am sure they do not want to be here and I do not blame them, this is a scary time for everyone, but that does NOT give staff a free pass to be rude and unhelpful. Additionally, 3-4 days ago, Marriott cancelled my reservation for this evening, completely understandable given the circumstance. I fully understood. I made reservations at an Airbnb close by. This morning my husband called the front desk to ask for a late check out as we can not check into the Airbnb until 4pm. My husband called the front desk and asked for a later check out, he is a surgeon and is now in volunteering at the celebration hospital. This means we would be left in our car as there is not any place we can go. the woman on the phone, Toni, was rude and dismissive. This NOT ok. I am livid. Since Our arrival it has been one problem after another. And WE are understanding, I didn't expect perfection. I am disgusted and continue to be disgusted by this resort. I also never received one call back from Owner services. Multiple times I have called this week and last. I never received a call back. No response to emails. Nothing.

Love, love, love this place. It's peaceful, quiet, and gorgeous. We've stayed at Grande Vista several times and while it's nice, it's not quite on the same level with LR. I do wish they had a sit down restaurant on site, but it's a 5 or 10 minute walk to the JW Marriott and the Ritz-Carlyon (on a lovely walking path along the lake), where there are several lovely dining spots. Special shoutouts to Bobby at the front desk who helped us in so many ways (and remembered my name after we met just once!), and to Hortense (not sure what her job is) - she's a ray of pure sunshine!!

Three friends and I stayed at the Lakeshore Reserve this past weekend as we gathered to hold a memorial service for a departed friend. None of us had stay there before and were very pleasantly surprised with the experience at the property. The staff (Tessa, Lisa, and Raenelle) took great care of us. They were generous with their information and time. Never rushed us when we peppered them with questions about dining options. They drove around the property multiple times always with a smile and pleasant conversation. Considerate of the 90 degree heat, they repeatedly provide ice cold bottled water and encouraged us to take full advantage of the facilities features. Even the bar tenders worked diligently to meet our preferences and extensive food orders. The lifeguard Mayra was very friendly and personable. While the rooms were nice, it was the great staff that made the experience such a good one despite being there for a somewhat somber occasion. I will recommend others to visit the resort and hope to visit again myself. Thanks for a great experience.

This Marriott vacation club was absolutely perfect! We were immediately greeted by a concierge staff member, and they stored our bags until our room was ready! They promptly called us around 1pm that our room was ready prior to the 4pm Check in time! Score! The concierge was so nice and must have recognized it was our anniversary, or I somehow mentioned but after a night in CityWalk we came back to a sweet card and balloon! Where else do you find that service! The restaurant served good American food. The pool and water slides were so much fun and it seemed like there was something for anyone to do! Considering this was a short stay we didn't get to participate in any activities but we definitely plan to come back here when coming to Orlando.

Beautiful Property! The staff is great! We requested early check-in and were granted that request (Yaaaay!)

Stayed here for spring break (Sat-Sat first week April 2018). We've stayed here many times and over and over LOVE LOVE LOVE this home away from home. Love the spanish influenced decor and furnishings. We were in Messina this time (usually get the townhouse) and was too large for our party. Staff is courteous and always helpful addressing our needs immediately (we asked for foam pillows and extra blanket) and they came within 15mins. As we happened to arrive a day before Easter, they actually had an Easter brunch for guests ($19.99) that included your basic pancakes, eggs, meats, fruits, beverages including Mimosas - personally a bit pricey for basic meal. Nice offering though for vacationers during holiday. Plenty of chairs in pool area (I always like to hide away in upper fountain area - it's like a mini escape to Italy LOL) and more secluded AND near hot tub - no one goes there! Bonus! My only negative comments (thus minus 1 star): staff not attentive to some minor litter on grounds (a pen clearly in mulch in common area, an empty ice cream container clearly on a bench along main walking path) that were there entire week. One of emergency fire doors was locked one morning (very unusual). Overall this is more of 4.5 stars as staff is POLITE - shout out to Megan at front desk and Dexter who helped us with printing boarding passes. All of the staff (from groundskeepers, front desk, Market Place, random staff walking through halls) said HELLO! and if they could help us with anything - KUDOS Marriott! Polite and courteous staff is vital to business!!

A+++ Arrived early before noon and our room was not ready (as expected) but we checked in with the mostly lovely and friendly staff member who gave us access passes to the pool and facilities. We changed in a huge and beautiful locker room (complete with separate steam and sauna). We enjoyed a yummy lunch and some tropical drinks at Blossoms. Around 2pm our room became available (2 hours ahead of schedule). My wife bought two tubes for the lazy river. These came in handy. We had a lovely 2 bedroom villa. It had a front hallway which was perfect for storing the tubes and our shoes. The kitchen area was huge and had everything I need to make yummy meals. The view from the balcony was nice overlooking the lakes and a golf course. The side view you can spot the SeaWorld tower and the Orlando Eye. The bedroom was comfortable. The wifi very good. The master shower was amazing! I could live here! This is probably my favorite Marriott Vacation Club pool experience with 2 hot tubs, slides, and a lazy river. It was really warm even at night. This is a very quiet resort and you won't have an issue finding chairs. Fresh towels are provided by the pool area. At night it was very quiet (in fact more quiet than I like). The activity staff was great! Wife painted a wine glass, made ice cream, tasted chocolate (blind), and I made salsa. There was plenty of other activities we would of participated in but most of the time was spent away from the resort. The only negative thing about this property is the location as it is rather far from Disney (not terrible though). I did not like driving on FL528 as it was under construction. When visiting Disney this is not something you would drive back to for a nap in the morning and return at night. Now my absolute favorite MVC in Orlando (so far) is the Grande Vista but this is a close second!

Such a beautiful property! Really loved staying here (Messina). A small lake, golf course, open air bar, daily events for adults and kids, and a lazy river pool...very relaxing environment. wonderful staff, nice condominiums with beautiful balconies with outdoor fans. Our family really enjoyed our stay here and enjoyed many of the amenities. We also visited Disney, which was a 15 minute drive from Lakeshore. There are also plenty of local restaurants nearby to choose from if you want to eat closer to . home. This would even be a wonderful place to just spend a few relaxing days without visiting any of the Disney parks.

The resort looks good, some of the staff are friendly and accommodating, but I would highly recommend staying at another resort and defiantly avoid the sales presentations. The check in process was okay but the front desk didn't really give you the typical run down like most Marriott properties. Upon walking in the room, you were met with a loud sound and rush of air. Figuring this was the AC ventilation and you can turn it on and off I looked for the switch but couldn't locate one. I called the front desk and they sent one of the maintenance engineers Josh who is the most helpful and honest person on this property. He was honest about the issue and did his best to correct the issue. It's stll of course noisy in the room but it's atleast tolerable now. Now let's discuss the sales presentation. Nobody should ever believe the "presentation" is only a short 75 minutes, we were there for just under two hours. The salesman if that's what you want to call this guy Carlos Rodrigous was honestly one of the most arrogant and unprofessional individuals I have ever encountered at Marriott. We have been on several of these "updates" and are owners with Marriott. If it weren't for this salesman's horrible attitude we would have probably bought additional points but why give a guy like this the commission. At the end of our chat he said okay, I'll send someone in to close you out, packed up his stuff and walked out for the day at 10AM " to go golfing"....some kind of showman he is. While walking out of the oh so wonderful presentation, I told one of the employees about the experience and they said oh well that's why you'll get a survey and to make sure you fill it out. We have only been on the property for not even 24 hours and this is by far one of the worst Marriott experiences I have ever had.

The experience was truly 5 star... We had a townhouse (Rosarno) and a villa (Messina). It was a family affair. This location is great if your looking for quiet, rest, and relaxation away from Disney (but close). The 3 bedroom is prefect for a large family. The villa is great for a small family and the views from this room were beautiful. They offer many kid activities at the Tree-house and a "kids-night-out" for a fee. The treehouse has video games, toys, arts & crafts, movies, a lizard, and offer cooking activities for the kids. The bar offered drink specials. They also have a shaded playground area the my niece never wanted to leave. The pool and the slide was awesome! The lounge area was great, but could of used a few more chairs. The one thing that I love the most is that the grocery stores were close by, in a safe neighborhood, the property has a grill, and all the other cooking utensils. The only downfall, is these are timeshares, so check-out of 10:00 is firm... Also, the last check-in! So make sure you go when you can spend at least 4 days to enjoy it! However, we checked out at 10 am, then went to the shopping outlets that are close by and then made a quick drive down to the beach in Daytona.

Great place to stay! We were able to stay here last week because my parents have a time share through Marriott. It is around 15 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from Disney. I loved the lazy river! That was by far the best part of the resort. The lobby was very pretty and had a Spanish vibe to it. The furniture within the resort was just ok. The couch was comfy but the chairs in the common area were not that comfortable. The pillows were also too soft, I wish they were a little harder because it made it hard to sleep on. I love that the villas have kitchens. Sometimes on vacation you don't always want to go out to it and this allows you to cook a couple of times during the week. We were on the top floor of the resort and our balcony had no roof. This was odd since it is Florida it rains a lot and prevents you from using the balcony when it was raining. Overall I enjoyed this property and would stay here again.

IN TOWN FOR BUSINESS TRIP? THINK TWICE before choosing this hotel - it's a vacation club. In summary: Great price, but not built for a business traveler. Here for business & chose this property because I got an affordable rate & the location was good. This is on me, but I MISSED TOTALLY that this is a vacation club... THE GOOD: 1 Front desk staff friendly, accommodating, and helpful. 2 Small property a few low-rise buildings - so you are not walking down hallways for a mile to get to your room. I like this!! 3 Kitchen in room. THE NOT SO GREAT (IF YOU ARE ON BUSINESS) 1 VACATION CLUB brings different rules (I am a high level at Marriott, so I am grateful that the hotels try to help me access the room before 4PM check-in - this hotel does not offer early check-in or late check-out even to Titanium members because it's a Vacation Club?? That alone was enough for me to choose a different Marriott because I'm only here 1 night & did count on my room for work conference calls tomorrow morning & now can't do that.) 2 FURNITURE is OK - the couch was worn, lumpy cushions, etc 3 LIMITED restaurant/coffee shop on site. (They have 1 American bar/grill.) I get it - this is for families who want the kitchen. I'm here for 1 night, I'm not going to Publix to buy my food & cook it. Not practical for me.

BEWARE DISHONEST HOUSEKEEPER! The property itself and rooms are beautiful. Unfortunately, I left my laptop bag with my MacBook Pro & my sons epi-pens in the room on the kitchen chair when we were leaving. When we arrived at the beach house and realized it was left behind I called the hotel. Unfortunately, housekeeping "has not located the items." I'm sure this won't be the last time this happens. You have no recourse since the thief is not going to admit it and it's your word against theirs. Be sure to use the safe while you are there and do not remove your items till walking out with them. I've filed a police report and their security staff has been great, but once again, there is nothing you can do so the thief wins.

VERY disappointed in Marriot! We spent A LOT of money on one of their time shares and we wanted to change our location and they want to charge a fee. Now they can't accommodate us, so we will lose all our money on top of that! The lady I spoke to was very rude! Would not get a supervisor for me to speak to. We went on one of their trips last year, it was nice. Thought we would try it again but the booking this time was a joke. I would strongly advise against purchasing the Marriott Vacation Club. Thought we might be able to extend it since there's nothing available, but that's not an option either!! Don't buy it unless you have money to throw away!

Not bad. Lots of amenities and lots to do. I got a room here not too long ago and we had a good stay. We didn't check in until evening time but checking it was very easy and we got to our unit without a problem. It seems to have everything you need if you're staying there for a couple days. Nice bedroom although I think the mattress gave us trouble It was not that comfortable. Anyway having USB ports here in there was a plus. Good to have a tub and a shower if need be. Next time I would like to check in earlier in the day so that we can really take a vantage of the manatees. It's in a great location hidden off of John Young near the Ritz and JW Marriott. It Seemed to be a beautiful property..... One of the downfalls though is that you can't get anything to eat or snack on late night nor are there any snack machines. Booooooooooooo

This place is wonderful and relaxing. Pool is a lazy river! Bring your own floats as they do not provide (but will inflate for you). My family enjoyed our accommodations and we highly recommend. Thank you!

Came and stayed for a week here and LOVED it!! The kids had a blast with all the activities that were planned and enjoyed the staff that helped with them. The tree house was great for the kids when the Florida rains came in daily. The staff did an amazing job adjusting to the weather and putting together quick activities to keep all the families busy. The bar staff was always friendly and accommodating. My son was unfortunately hurt as he slipped on wet tile during some rain. He had stitches already so his stitches were ripped open. The staff leaped into action very quickly and helped him so much! They went above and beyond with him and repeatedly checked to make sure that he was ok. I did want to make a few shout outs to Bianca, the lifeguard, whom became a quick friend to my extremely shy daughter: Thank you for being patient with her and letting her sit and talk to you for hours. She has never taken to anyone as quickly and it was amazing to see her chat so much!! Also thank you to Todd and the ladies in the pool side bar. You helped make our stay fun! I think next time we will call before we come for another stay so that they can stock up on Jeagermister... Most of all thank you to all the pool staff that came to my son's aide while he was hurt. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because we felt the maintenance of the room lacked tremendously, the housekeeping was extremely rude throughout our stay and on our checkout day they kept changing in our room right at 10 and every five minutes until we left. We heard them yelling at us through the door! They wouldn't knock before coming in and kept raising their voice at us to leave. It was super rude and I was completely shocked by the whole situation. We ended up getting out at 10:25, which yes it a little past our checkout, but with an unexpected injury that restricted movement from one son and 2 other kids under 10 while dealing with screaming housekeepers, I would say I was happy to be out at that time... Overall, thanks for a great stay, BUT please consider dealing with hostile housekeepers that treat the vacationers like trash.

My daughter went to an overnight birthday party there just before Christmas. They went to the pool are at night while it was cold and quiet. Only a few family's were present. Within a short time after they placed their phones in shoes or jackets or robes they were stolen. They were right by the belongings. Obviously being watched for the right moment to strike! Soon to find out 7 phones were stolen at the same time. There was only 1 lifeguard on duty and a complete lack of security. Even the gates were unlocked or able to open easily allowing anyone in. The hotel have been the worst when it comes to handling this situation. The police were called and a GRAND THEIFT report was filed. Still the hotel do nothing. Cameras not present or the one that was was pointing the wrong way. I say convenient! The worst customer service i think I have ever experienced. When you leave messages you do not receive a reply. They like to refer this to her misplacing her phone! Tell Me how can 7 phones from 4 different families all Be "misplaced ' at the same time?? Beware of this hotel and leave your phones in a safe locked or be prepared to have them stolen!

There is nothing like a Marriot mattress. Even better a new Marriot. Most Orlando hotels are overused and beat up but that was not the case here. The staff were friendly and helpful and everything was well maintained. I will definitely return to this location.

Warm water in the lazy river. On a hot day you can drift in this luxury for hours. Beautifully landscaped. Family friendly. A great place for a family vacation.

I'm going to preface this review by saying that we didn't actually STAY here. Some friends of ours came in from out of town and we spent some time with them at this property. This review is based off what we saw and what they told us of their stay. Wow! Just wow! Just driving into this place you knew it was something special. The property looks brand new and the decor of both the buildings and the furnishings make it look more like and upscale apartment community than a hotel. These are timeshares so they are more like apartments anyway. The pool is complete with a lazy river, water slide and fountains. It is also on the same property as the JW Marriott and the Ritz Carlton. As a guest at Marriott Lakeshore you get access to both properties, which is an awesome perk. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the grounds are kept meticulously. Our friends had a one bedroom unit, but as we walked the property we saw two story townhome style units which I'm sure could fit a whole family plus som comfortably. The price tag on this place might be a bit steep, but it's totally worth it! We're going to see if we can get my in-laws a spot here for the holidays! Wish us luck :)

My parents have their base timeshare here and I stayed here with them for a week along with my fiance as well as my brother. We had a 3 bedroom townhouse which was perfect- everyone had their own bedroom/bathroom and there was plenty of space to spread out in the living area as well as outdoor patio, where we spent a lot of time. Pool was perfect- even when crowded there was enough room for everyone and it wasn't hard to get a lounge chair. My one complaint was the bathroom - a ton of empty/wasted space and not enough room for toiletries or to hang towels. It is a pretty new place and it definitely felt that way; things appeared to be well taken care of. Orlando isn't really my cup of tea (I'm more of a beach bum than Disney fan) but it was a nice place to spend a week.

I must say, I was taken away by the property and all its amenities. Disney World is only 15 minutes form this resort. There is also a supermarket nearby if you stay in one of the town homes which we did. I advise to stay in one of their 2 story town homes. It is very nice and it has all the kitchen appliances plus the dishes/silverware. The pool is top notch as well. It is also heated if you come during cool weather. I definitely recommend this place for a stay. Stayed March 2013

I recently stayed at the Marriott's Lakeshore Reserve. We rented the townhouse for one night. We had my bachelorette party. The lazy river was fantastic! We all had a great time. There were 7 of us and the townhouse had plenty of space for everyone. It was such a family friendly place but also girls weekend. The resort has everything you needed. No need to even leave the resort unless you're from out of town to go to the there parks. I will definitely be back!

One of the best family resorts in Orlando. This is our third time here and it really is perfect for a Family Getaway. The staff is beyond nice and courteous and the facility is top-notch. Love The Lazy River but even love more the water slides. You really never have to leave this property; having access to the JW Marriott as well as the Ritz-Carlton puts this vacation over the top. Good food find restaurants amazing service golf if you play and tons of activities for the kids to keep them busy. If there's one thing that Marriott does best is training their staff and hiring the best possible candidates for all positions. While not a fan of their business practices I am a fan of their staff.

I have been a Marriott Time Share owner for over 16 years. This coming July, 2016 will be my 3rd time choosing the Lakeshore Reserve. (I live in the Charlotte, NC area) This property is jaw dropping beautiful. As a Marriott owner my family and I are able to enjoy the Ritz and JW Marriott's amenities which are located on either side of the Lakeshore Reserve. A very short walking distance. When you approach this property you immediately feel like you were air lifted to the Bahamas. Their check in staff is fantastic and all of the property staff are wonderful too. 2 thumbs up!!!

I am an owner of the Marriott Lakeshore Reserve timeshare as an Execute Marriott Vacation Club Owner. This is my second stay here in which I ran into issues. The first stay the room was not ready until 6:00pm and when we got into the townhouse it there were fruit flies everywhere and it smelled as if they fumigated the place. This stay I have to say was far worse. I arrived there on Friday 11/17/17 for a week with my family - this time I was let into the townhouse early - which was a surprise to me. On Wednesday, 11/23/17 at 3:30pm while we were in the lazy river our iPhone, which were in our pool bag and under a table, were stolen. We discovered this around 4:30pm and my daughter went to the Loss Prevention girl that had been literally standing in front of the 6 chaise loungers that we had been using. She was standing there most of the afternoon talking to 2 other female lifeguards with their backs to everyone and everything. When my daughter approached her to inform her of the theft her response was "You shouldn't have brought your phones to the pool area." Well we use our iPhone for business and I never would have imagined that people who were not staying at the resort would have been able to walk right into the gated pool area and steal our phones. We were told that 2 young men parked at the JW Marriott and walked the path between the 2 places and got into the pool area - witnesses had seen them running down the path back to the JW Marriott. 1. Loss Prevention girl named Alex was rude to my 23 year old daughter. She was not helpful and took her time to get to the front desk to talk to the manager. My daughter and her boyfriend had already gone to the front desk long before Alex finally go there. 2. The Loss Prevention people or the Marriott workers did nothing to help us. We had to call the police to report the theft and file the report. 3. We did not hear from ANYONE until 11:00am the following day to inform us that a report had been filed with the insurance company. 4. Upon talking to the Marriott manager the following day which was Thanksgiving - NOTHING was offered to us to make our end of vacation a good one despite the loss of 2 days dealing with this ordeal. They were having Thanksgiving dinner that evening it would have been nice if my family would have been able to enjoy it - Marriott could have offered it to us due to what occurred! 5. We had reservations Wednesday night at Epcot and they charged us $20 for the cancellation. Marriott did not offer to reimburse us for that either. 6. Troy, the Loss Prevention Manager, told me if I had not heard from the insurance company by the following Wednesday to call him. I called Troy AND the Marriott manager on Wednesday, 11/29/2107, and left my number where I can be reached. I did not hear back from them or the insurance company until 12/7/2017. This is only after I wrote a letter to Marriott Customer Care and the wonderful gentleman, Jon, facilitated this for me. 7. We had to spend $899 a piece to replace our iPhone quickly that evening so as not to disrupt any business we were conducting. I have paid a lot of money for this particular timeshare. I own Habour Lake, Lakeshore Reserve, and Trust points. I spend over $5500 a year in maintenance fees and spent well over $50K for the investment. I would NEVER have imagined our iPhone would ever have been stolen from this resort. Our children were afraid to leave the room for our final 2 days. I have never experienced anything like this and I have been with Marriott for years. I am always praising Marriott but after this ordeal I have a sour taste in my mouth with Marriott. I do not feel this has been handled properly and I am not sure WHY they did not see this as an IMPORTANT issue that was occurring at the time and is still occurring. I have gone to the timeshare in Myrtle Beach and left my bags on the beach while I was in the ocean and have NEVER had anything stolen - I would not have expected this at the Lakeshore in a GATED area - it's supposed to be one of the top timeshares at Marriott. So I received a call from Liberty Mutual and apparently the policy that Marriott has states that the items would have been in care, control, or custody of Marriott in order for me to get any sort of reimbursement. So I am to blame for having my cell phones stolen and Marriott is taking no responsibility. Although a Marriott employee was not holding my phone - nor did they steal it - it was within the "secured" area of Marriott. It is sad that a corporation as big a Marriott would not care more about the safety of its owners and their possessions. They have written their insurance policy - that even when their "security" is at fault" the owner is to blame. Why then do we even have Loss Prevention People working at Lakeshore? I will look into selling my Marriott Vacation Club timeshares and Trust Points.

Lakeshore Reserve is a beautiful, peaceful, immaculate resort with Italian fashioned villas and courtyards which abound in beautiful greenery including gardenias, jasmine, and roses. Very delightful! Clean modern grills available for grilling and great staff who cater to your needs. Very nice eatery and bar with excellent bartenders and wait staff. Lazy river provides great swimming for all ages and water is warm! You can walk to big JW hotel and Ritz Carlton if you desire. This is a wonderful place to stay!!,

I have posted to marriot fb site but no indication it was there! Having awful time with late night music thump-thump at pool area at lakeshore Called front desk three plus times. They stopped answering internal phone. I even called JW Marriott next door thinking manager on duty could find manager here at Lakeshore on cell phone to tell him guest was not being responded to. Then called front desk on cell phone and they picked up on one ring when I called from cell phone! Amazed and surprised that music was still loud they asked it be turned down! So frustrated I found online link to Vmail at Marriott corporate and left message for Arne Sorenson, doubt I will get response but tired of being ignored by brand we love, Marriott

This was an excellent place to bring our entire family, daily events, great pool and water slides, a quick easy drive to all of the parks. It is intimate and an easy walk anywhere you want to. The market here is way overpriced but there is a walmart market not far at all. My only complaint is that there are hot tubs full of unsupervised, under aged children, There are signs posted but not enforced.

Great spot. Very secluded so you feel like you're actually on vacation instead of just visiting a theme park and strip malls. We'll definitely be back.

We are MVC owners at 3 separate resorts (Las Vegas, Waiohai, Maui) and are destination points owners. Our current stay at Marriott's Lakeshore Reserve has been the absolute worst stay we have ever had at a Marriott (and that says a lot given I am lifetime Marriott Platinum.). First we were downgraded in room size and were told it "wasn't their fault" (despite showing them proof of our reservation.) The customer service staff was rude and patronizing. 6:30AM fire alarm (from neighbors cooking), without an apology. Blood stains on sheets AND towel. We noticed a car in the parking lot with the door wide open and lights on and notified the front desk (to try and contact owner or, at the very least, shut the door.) 12 hours later, the door was still wide open... Really disappointed, all around, with this stay.

Very nice hotel, stayed here because it was the nicest available hotel on short notice. Very family friendly with lots to do on premises. We stayed in a suite which was clean, spacious and up to date. The kitchen and fridge are a nice touch for those who are staying long term or with families. It's not a great place if you are getting away for a romantic weekend lots of kiddos and families.

Horrible customer service !! The arrogance of the staff is overwhelming!!! Don't ask for a later checkout. They totally disregard any level of status. I should have stayed at the JW.

The worst place ever very dirty not clean lizards are everywhere while JW Marriott is just 2 min away (walking) does have no lizards. Oh, no housekeeping unless you book for 10 days or more even though in their website they stats clearly @daily housekeeping@ with no conditions, plus their stuff are not friendly at all. I will never go back there. I hate to say bad reviews but I did not like anything about that hotel beside the size of the villas.
