I was able to get a table without any wait time. The staff is very kind, polite and friendly. The vibe inside bistro is quite energetic and positive especially due to the music choice. You get bread with cheese and tomato sauce on the house as a starter. I ordered truffle mortadella and tagliatelle with ragu and both were delicious. I highly recommend going there for a nice casual dinner. The menu is in Italian, I’ve attached an image and chatGPT gives a really good translated version. The only annoying part was that you cannot tip the waiter when you pay with the card 😔

We really enjoyed our lunch at Marsalino everything was 10/10. It was our last meal in Bologna when we stumbled upon this place and it did not disappoint. The owner was very kind to us to find us a table although it was full. The place has a nice warming atmosphere as it is a small bistro. All the dishes were very tasty and in large portions. Definitely worth to check out!

A perfect place to ruin your mood and your impression of Bologna. These were our last two hours in the city, and they ended in complete disappointment. Food: 3/10. Service and customer communication cannot even be rated — the waiter with the beard and tattoos behaved in a humiliating manner. We constantly felt unwelcome. We came here based on a recommendation from a guy working at another café, and we deeply regret it. The prices are unreasonably high. The chairs and tables are very uncomfortable. The food was cold, and the pasta was not just al dente — it was undercooked. 50 euros for two for such an experience is very disappointing. Not recommended.

This was the best meal we had during our entire Italy trip and I am still dreaming about it. The staff was so incredibly friendly and welcoming and helpful when we had questions. We had the tagliatelle Ravi, the meatballs, and the mortadella crostinis. Every single item was a 10/10, so flavorful, high quality ingredients, well cooked, and all around delicious. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!!!!!

My vegetarian friend ordered a meaty pasta because we misinterpreted the menu. By the way, the boss made us a new vegetarian pasta. I'm so touched. It's a must-see place with great love and great taste. ❤️🫶🏼

Yummy, this is the reaction my girlfriend had when she saw the photo of the food two days later! Happy experience can recommend would come back! Tagliatella tirata a mano al Ragù (12€), the Spaghetti alla Gricia (13€) and the Polpette di manzo (12€). Everything was exactly how you wish it to be from the atmosphere of the restaurant to the food and the kitchen sent out the food quite fast.

We only had one night in Bologna and Marsalino lived up to the city's reputation for good food. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and squeezed us into the remaining table. We didn't fancy sitting outside as it was 2C. Food, wine and atmosphere was superb. The panettoni was the best I've ever tasted. €20-30 pp included wine. Some of the best food we've ever eaten in Italy in 40 years. Highly recommended

The waiters were friendly and efficient. The food was served quickly with breads and wwater. The ragu and the Chitarra alla Gricia (lightly smoked pork cheek) was very good with the al dente pasta. We finished the meal with Spimone al Limone served with cat tongue for dessert. A very tasty meal reasonably priced. We would recommend that you give it a try.

Been here twice and would happily return!!! Came once for drinks -- great variety and affordable drinks. Ambiance was great. The perfect wine bar. Later returned for lunch and had one of the better meals I've had in Bologna. The Parmesan plate was superb, the roasted veggies was delicious, and the ragu was THE BEST! Walked up with no red and got seated within 15 mins! Service was quick and easy! Overall I'd highly recommend!!

This little restaurant is serving up big flavor in Bologna! The bartender is awesome, the server was kind and fast, and my lunch was absolutely fantastic! I had the cutlet and it was damn delicious! It was fried to perfection and topped with prosciutto then doused in a creamy cheese sauce. I washed it down with a sweet bubbly Prosecco. As we went to pay the bartender chatted us up about where we were from and offered us a free after meal drink. It had a bite, licorice flavor. I appreciated the time here!

VERY cool little restaurant! They were accommodating, seating us even without a reservation in between their reservation times. Service was friendly and prompt but like all of Italy def not rushed. It was such a cool vibe and the bar tender was so friendly and helpful. He even offered us a digestive as we were paying! The food was delicious and abundant. I would LOVE to revisit this place and spend a bit more time exploring their menu. I really enjoyed myself here.

Good price, good fresh good. Options for those that don't eat pork. The fresh pasta was deliciously seasoned. They were opened way after lunch and were happy to acommodate us.

Love this place. Have been three times now on various trips and always a homely experience with great well priced food. The wine list is extensive. I always try the pasta each time.

We made a reservation for this restaurant before leaving the USA. That was a smart move on our part, because it is a small space with limited seating that fills up quickly. They do offer more seating outside. We were warmly greeted by Phillip. This is a great wine bar that offers a limited menu. They started us off with potato chips and pizza bread - all complimentary. We both had the cheeseburgers with prosciutto and tomato; accompanied by roasted potatoes and salad. We enjoyed a bottle of Sangiovese recommended by Phillip and a bottle of water. Total cost was € 40. In addition, we received complimentary after-dinner drinks of Cynar, which is an Italian bitter liqueur of the amaro variety. It is made from 13 herbs and plants, predominant amongst which is the artichoke (from which the drink derives its name). Cynar is dark brown in color, has a bittersweet flavor, and its strength is 16.5% ABV. It was launched in Italy in 1952.
