Marshall Meadows Manor House Hotel

Lovely location, extremely friendly and efficient staff.||The dining menu is great - some very interesting dishes but also basic ones for those not so adventurous. The food my daughter and I had was delicious and beautifully cooked and presented!||We called up to make the reservation about an hour before we arrived and were given a special rate 🙂 £20 lower than the booking.com price which was great!||The room we had was fine and clean but not nearly as pretty as the ones in the photos - that would be our only slightly negative comment. |Generally the hotel (well at least the bits we saw) are a bit soulless - like the dining room is a beautiful big high ceilinged room but with no fabric so felt quite ‘empty’ (I can't think of the right words!) just some white table cloths or basic curtains or even fake window dressings would make a big difference..|Not a complaint at all - merely a suggestion!|We would defiantly return for the food if we were in the area.

Good location, just off the A1, 5 mins drive from the town centre. The surrounding area is a farm and static homes. It's on the coastal path. There's plenty of parking. The rooms are somewhat noisy, as you can hear other rooms through the thin walls. The clamping party (directly outside) were also enjoying themselves fairly late. The staff were very friendly but not particularly well trained, so it's hard to be critical but ultimately the service was slightly lacking. The food was very good, generous portions of a good quality. The rooms were spacious, albeit the bed was on the small side.

I stayed here for my friends’ wedding and overall had a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food was absolutely delicious. The building itself is stunning with lovely views, which made the wedding feel really special.||That said, I wouldn’t give top marks due to the cleaning. As someone tall, I couldn’t help but notice dust on higher surfaces such as wardrobes, picture frames and light fixtures. In my room, I also struggled to open the window because of climbing plants/shrubbery outside.||Overall, it’s a wonderful place for a wedding and I really enjoyed my time — just a little more attention to detail with cleaning and maintenance would make it perfect.|I would come again

Just found the place by chance when having a drive out. Very welcoming staff throughout. Room fabulous and even had a doggy welcoming pack for our little Jack Russell. The food was lovely. All in all we had a lovely night away for my wife’s birthday. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back in the future.

We stayed here recently for a wedding, and honestly, it was nothing short of amazing! From the warm and welcoming staff to the incredible food and beautifully kept rooms, everything exceeded our expectations.||Our two night stay included a fantastic Sunday deal with a delicious two course meal that made the weekend even more special. What stood out most was the staff despite how busy they were, they always found time to stop and chat with us, which made us feel truly valued.||We will absolutely be returning and that Christmas package is already calling our names!||

Where do I start. Just returned from my son's wedding at Marshall meadows, what an amazing 2 days we had, quite simply the best wedding I've ever been to. The venue, on site Chapel are excellent. Staff were brilliant, food exceptional, rooms are very nice, lovely outside area (weather permitting), the actual wedding reception room is lovely, spacious bright, nice big round tables ect. In my opinion the hotel should consider air con in this room though, at times it was very warm, this needs addressing (my only complaint). Definitely recommend Marshall meadows.

Can't fault the staff, the setting is lovely though a little isolated and the food is great (recommend the rump of lamb). Unfortunately the rooms are just too warm, you can't cool them down as the windows barely open. The fan provided barely helps, this was all not during a heatwave as well so can't imagine how bad it would be staying during hotter weather. The shower in room 11 only gave hot water, just adding to the heat issue.

The hotel is set away from the main road and looking out to the sea. The bedroom had a large bed and good facilities with a view looking out at the sea. The restaurant and bar are nice and look out to the open countryside. Having breakfast and looking outside is good it makes the stay more welcoming. The staff were very welcoming and helpful at breakfast and overall I enjoyed the stay and look forward to coming back.
