We had an overnight stay in a Premier Room. Upon the efficient check in we were shown to our room. As it was Winter the room was cold but after turning up the radiator and closing the shutters on the windows the room slowly heated up (next morning it was just right). Maybe the hotel staff should do more to make sure the rooms are not cold when guests arrive. However, the staff are so friendly and attentive nothing was an issue when we asked.||The bar area was very nice and a decent range of drinks were available. £17 for a pint and large glass of wine is probably the going rate these days so did not seem to be overpriced. ||We had dinner and that was superb. Started with a couple of small plates rather than the traditional starters and these were amazing, especially the chicken fritters in sweet chilli sauce. Mains of lamb shank and flat iron steak were also well received. All food we had was fresh and well presented. Nice touches of the steak coming with Caesar salad on the side. Breakfast the next morning was also very good with everything nice and hot. Just a minor point that the poached eggs were overdone but not spoiling the enjoyment too much to warrant a complaint!||Bedroom was a good size, lovely shower in the bathroom and the bed was a good size and comfortable, even though the mattress was on the soft side for us, but difficult to be picky on something that is a very personal preference.||Overall, a great stay and highly recommended.

We checked into the hotel on NYE and were welcomed with cocktails & canapés.|Our room was lovely - cozy, comfortable and filled with treats. We had Molton & Brown full size toiletries and the dog had a box with treats, chew sticks, a toy and poo sacks.||The gala dinner was amazing - really good food & disco. We had prawn cocktail, daube of beef & sticky toffee pudding. The evening was rounded off with a piper to welcome in 2025, then bacon butties before bedtime.||New Year’s Day we woke up to more treats , this time traditional Scottish ones, relating to “first footing”, a dram, nuts, coins, coal and a tangerine. We then had a lovely breakfast and relaxing day with a really lovely afternoon tea, which was huge. Dinner was 3 courses from the a la carte menu. The amount of food was unbelievable. The portions are huge , the choice and quality were excellent. | 2nd of January and it was breakfast and check out.||This was the first time that we had gone away for new year. The hotel was a great choice. The staff, the service and the hotel were all great and the package was amazing value for money. ||This was an experience for new year and not just a couple of night away. Thanks to everyone at Marshall Meadows. ||The only negative was the weather - we couldn’t get to enjoy the beautiful location and coastal path due to the storm. Means we’ll need to go back in the spring.

Just back from a lovely night’s stay with our dog Ralph, the staff were very welcoming on arrival and throughout our stay. It’s not far to walk to the Scottish border for our dog walk and the coastal views are spectacular. We had a three course meal which was first class and the dining room was stunning. The room was immaculate and we had a great sleep. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice and the staff were so attentive. Definitely a five star review and can’t wait to go back.

This was our second visit this year and again we thoroughly enjoyed it. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable. The hot tub was an added luxury even in December! Evening meals were top quality and breakfast freshly cooked and plentiful. The log fire made for a cosy atmosphere in the lounge. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Lesley in particular looked after us in the restaurant with her great sense of humour. Thanks to all.

Another really good new year's break. The staff are so friendly, efficient and helpful. Room was lovely and the gifts much appreciated. Some omissions on last year which has been reflected in the price however I do prefer the plated service at breakfast rather than the buffet, we didn't even realise you could ask for eggs!

The best hotel I have stayed at, myself and partner have been here more times than we can count, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else. The rooms are immaculate, very spacious and homely. The staff are friendly and happy to help with anything you need, they are super polite and kind, lovely and chatty. The hotel itself is located in a lovely spot with the town centre only down the road. Food within the hotel is beautiful also. I have no faults with this hotel, perfect little weekend break location!

This lovely hotel is in an ideal location for visiting friends in Tweedmouth. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There was no lift to our room but the pleasant receptionist offered assistance with our luggage and very kindly carried my case to our room.|The rooms are spacious and clean with comfortable beds and en-suite shower rooms which have bath sheets and Milton Brown toiletries. I was delighted to find our room had twin beds, as requested.|As we had already been treated to a lovely meal with our friends, we did not eat dinner in the hotel, though we have enjoyed dinner in the hotel on previous visits.|We both enjoyed a cooked breakfast in the morning served with toast, tea or coffee but a selection of fruit juice, fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt and pastries was also available.|We did experience intermittent issues with BBC reception, though Wi-Fi seemed unaffected. We were unable to find controls for the heated towel rail which, unfortunately, did not come on till after breakfast around 10.00am. In future, we would seek to resolve any technical issues we encounter asap (it was late on 3Oth December). However we would happily stay again.

Location is very much dependent on what you need For me all I needed was somewhere convenient to the A1 and couldn’t have been better This place is quite understated when you first arrive , then you open the door and the wow factor is there…. Full on WOW!!! The reception staff as wow ! They were lovely and welcoming and everything that followed just fell into the excellent category. They even had kind words for my smelly old dog, really sweet Must bring wifey here! She would love it. Just one thing Maybe thick cut chips (veggie) rather than french fries would be nice) 😊 But that shouldn’t cost you a ⭐ Thank you guys see you again
