Drinks were strong but curiously bad service from them. We were told when we arrived for lunch (albeit at around 3pm) that their kitchen was closed, so we ordered drinks and unpacked a simple lunch from our boats. However, while eating, other parties arrived (not just a single person or group but several different groups) and were treated as far differently. Smiles all round and menus brought out. Hot food ordered and delivered. Maybe it was because we weren't locals? Surely our group (maybe 16 people) were too much to handle? We heard they were closing at the end of the year, but couldn't confirm it. Their drinks were good, they had a decent playground for the kids. Insects everywhere though, and definitely the biting kind!

Went with my family on a vacation to Dafuskie Island and the golf cart rental company recommended this place to us since we were right around the corner. Took thirty minutes or more to see the menu then took another hour and a half for the food. The best part about the restaurant was the band!! The prices are expensive (can soda $3), the service is poor and slow and the food is blah. Did I mention stray dogs who look like they have not had shots ever in life come in and out of the restaurant. Do not set your self up for disappointment, run to the other end and visit other places!! *Gave them 1 star because I had to!!!*

Waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for a take out order. Spoke with them a couple of times and the waitress kept telling us it's almost ready. No interest from the management so this must be common for them. Place not that crowded. Sweltering heat inside, they have a lot of fans, but many not working. Could be a nice place because of location and the facility is fun, but obvious the management is bored and just does not care. I really don't think there is even a manager on the premises. The beer was cold, so that's a good thing.

Best date night with my 5 wonderful friends ever!! Beth is a outstanding chief and her staff are awesome! The food is incredible, always fresh and delicious. The band was off the chain talented!!! Highly recommend eating and experiencing Marshsides!

This restaurant is dark, and dingy. Eating inside is worse than outside, because there is no air conditioning, and poor lighting. There was no band when we were there so I cannot comment on how that would have improved the atmosphere. Fortunately, we were the first ones in and got to see the only hand written, limited menu first. Many of the other guests were very frustrated at having to wait to see the menu. Some even got up and started taking pictures of it with their phones so they could decided what they wanted. Our waitress acted like she had a chip on her shoulder and was very matter of fact about the menu to us. I overheard her and others having the same attitudes with the other guests. The food was very expensive, but it was good. I cannot say it was worth the price though. All the nonalcoholic drinks are in cans and ridiculously priced. ( I would suggest bringing your own in a thermos). I did not see any wild dogs, but it would not surprise me if I had seen them. I would never go back to this place, and I don't recommend that anyone goes. However if you do, get there first, take a picture of the menu, eat outside, bring your own drinks, be prepared to spend a lot of money, wait on your food, and be talked down to by your waitress.

The food is amazing!! However the is only one cook, thus the service is long. We had to wait an hour for our food but was worth it. It looks like a shack, which it is and is a dive bar. They don't have anything on tap, everything comes in a bottle including water. It is a great place to sit outside on pinic tables and enjoy good food. Also the menu changes everyday so they only have one menu that makes its way around the tables. The service may be long, but it's worth it!!

This is probably the best place on the island. The friendliest dogs walking around may be disconcerting to some but I find it charming and just the right feeling. Not a large beer selection but the bar is well stocked and they can take care of most requests.

Wonderful place and huge portions. The food was amazing and you get a lot. I had the steak and it was one of the best steaks I have ever had. This place has tons of charm and character. Great place to get drinks and sit outside also. Very friendly staff. I recommend this place to everyone.
