We went to Marta for a weekend lunch to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The service was exceptional and every single item we ordered was beyond delicious. Their team took excellent care of us and made the celebration very special. Highly recommend!!

Such a shame as it has great potential. The pasta had very little flavour and everything was sitting in a lot water. The service was also pretty slow. Big disappointment considering the prices and general atmosphere they’re trying to create as a fine dining restaurant.

I organised my birthday dinner here last weekend and I had an amazing time. 😃The restaurant itself is beautiful, with classy décor, and they were very flexible and helpful, managing to arrange a 20 person booking at very short notice. The food was absolutely amazing, every dish we ordered was delicious. Very good pizza and pasta, and the charcuterie and burrata were beautiful, great quality. The service was excellent and professional. Our waiter was very attentive and, despite the restaurant being full and us being a large group, we didn’t have to wait long. All of my guests had a wonderful time, they really enjoyed the evening and the food. I truly recommend Marta.😃(Just note that there is a 10% surcharge on weekends, which I wasn’t aware of.)

Breakfast dreams come true! Such a cozy spot — moody lighting, rain outside, and that peaceful café hum in the background. The avocado toast? Next level. Crunchy bread, creamy smashed avo, sweet cherry tomatoes, and that soft whipped topping (whatever it was, I’m obsessed). And the coffee — smooth, rich, not bitter at all. Just perfect.

Amazing food. Pizza is handmade and freshly baked. Thanks for Rudolf’s amazing service. They are doing the EatClub discounts now, if you book though EatClub, you will have 30%off dine in.

came close to opening so i got a very fresh almond croissant, still slightly warm on the outside. very delicious frangipane, generous portion and the pastry is nice and buttery without being sickly.

In one of the most successful restaurant pivots in a crisis, MARTA Osteria has rolled out their weekend Roman-style bakery to appease weekday boredom while we all work and study from home. With a clear COVIDSafe plan in place, the staff are inside the restaurant, and the patrons widely spaced in a pedestrian square, queuing a metre-and-a-half apart for crisp Italian pastries and gelato plucked from a gelato cart. Owner-chef Flavio Carnevale was a baker before he was a chef, and gee it shows in airy, chewy, salt-crusted focaccia with Italian mortadella and provolone encased within. Even better is an airy round of focaccia studded with blistered cherry tomatoes and anchovies for a big umami kick. Sfogliatine sourdough puff pastry is created into crisp sandwiches with prosciutto and cheese. To finish there are maritozzi – sweet brioche buns filled with cream – that are pleasant in texture and not overly sweet. Though the shattery pastry millefoglie with golden mascarpone and blueberries is hard to beat for your work from home elevenses. The five items came to $54, which isn’t cheap for pastries, but when everything hits the mark and the restaurant is able to keep all their staff working through Sydney’s second lockdown, I am happy to pay it.

Ah, Marta. You’ve done it again. Attentive service, got seated promptly, great suggestions for food. The mortadella focaccia was amazing… tender, salty and melts in your mouth. The star or the show was the vodka sauce pasta. I would put that sauce in my skin care routine if I could.

Yelp
This, I think, is my favourite restaurant in Sydney. Tucked away in Rushcutters Bay, my family and I, love everything about it. Simple, delicious, fresh Italian food you won't see on many menu's. I know there's so much more to their offerings, but seriously, how good can pizza actually get? Well damn, it can get better than you even expect. With their delicious bean salad, and the most amazing rustic rocket salad...perfection. And the wine list is a killer. Come eat at this wonderful restaurant. You won't be disappointed.
