Crazy ambiance! We loved the sushi and the shrimp cocktail. The bartender was wonderful. The music was more entertainment than dancing. The crowd was really drunk. Lots of crazy behavior. Not sure we would return. Gets crowded very quickly.

Comfortable and chill is how I describe this outdoor gem. The service was attentive and warm. We got a dozen oysters with margaritas. For the main lunch dishes we went grill onions with chedder burger and lobster roll both with fries! Very tasty on a hot humid day. But who's complaining when frozen margaritas staring at you!

My family had spent the early afternoon on the boardwalk and wanted to have lunch, and we all agreed to get some pizza. We ordered a large pie. Oh boy, this was a super extra large pie. There was a surprise on how expensive the pie was. Seasonal boardwalk prices, I guess. Our expectations were higher than usual based on what we had paid. It was ok. It wasn't the best, but very good. We did take 2 slices with us for later. The slice didn't bend even though the slice was approximately 2 inches longer than "normal" slices. Good flavor. A bit more cheese than sauce. Sauce was seasoned well. Crust could have a bit more sauce. The location has many attractions. A bar. A band area. Dining area. Somewhere in the back must have been the tiki bar, and who knew what else they had. 😆 The place is huge and can handle all kinds of parties. Too bad a great place like this doesn't serve ice cold Coca-Cola.

If you ever want to brave the weekend crowd at the Jersey shore boardwalk, be sure to visit martels Tiki Bar. Wander out the pier to a couple hundred feet from the ocean. Grab a bar table or sit at the bar, only the locals know of this spot. Worth all the grief getting here. You can also do a beach badge and access the beach. Very civilized summer fun. Be sure to bring your partner. Best shared with friends.

What a fun night!!! Our company hosted an event here and Oh Boy!!!! We had a blast!!! The music is great the atmosphere is awesome you can sink in your toes to the sand and watch waves while eating, space is huge and can accommodate hundreds of people, the food is decent we are served BBQ style buffet, the 2 free alcoholic drinks is weak but we ask the bar tender to put more alcohol and he’s nice to do so. We will comeback for sure with more friends.

Google
Looked like a long line to get in but nit moved quickly. Service was fast and polite. Live music was great. I had my 3(almost 4) years old daughter with me amd she dominated the dance floor. Other kids joined in. Definitely a place I would go back to.

Google
Fun place. We were a party of 20 and the waitress was very attentive The food was very good. Crab cake, delicious 👌 outside seating ample and welcome breezes from the ocean cooled us. It can get crowded on weekends because there is music 🎶

Really nice place, good food, nice views but beware only go if you want to be around huge crowds.

Yelp
Outstanding!! Great spot. Great service. Good T shirts. Strong drinks , great crowd!

Yelp
Cool spot for drinks and live music right on the beach. Bartenders are relatively friendly and attentive considering how overwhelmed they were with drunk people swarming the bar. The skinny beach margarita was pretty gross. We could barely finish them. Such an overwhelming artificial flavor that had a punch with a cheap tequila flavor. Good beer selections.

Yelp
*** update 9/19/2023 - I am removing one star because this past Saturday I went back to Martell's and after opening a tab, giving my credit card, we left our bags on the table near the stage and walked to the bar near the water to take a few pictures. Once we got back our waitress (Rachel) had moved our stuff to another table and gave our table to another family (probably regulars). There were many tables available at that time. Once I brought this up to her attention she said that we should have informed her we were leaving. So what's the point of opening a tab? I wasn't going to run away! We were gone for less than 15 minutes. *** ** original 4 stars review ** I visited Martell's this past Sunday and was overall satisfied with my visit. Keep in mind that on Sundays it doesn't get crowded like on Saturdays or Mondays (Tiki Mondays) and there are no DJ's so it's a quieter ambiance. If you are looking for a spring break type of party avoid Sunday. But if you just want to have a good time, listen to live music and have a few drinks you will have fun. On the plus side on Sundays it's easier to find parking on the streets nearby and there was no line to get in. If you go on Saturdays I would suggest arriving earlier than 11am. We had a burger which was pretty decent and both the beer and drink prices are also decent. I paid around $6 plus tax for local beer and my wife's Pina Colada were about $10 plus tax. For a Tiki Bar at Point Pleasant beach where hotels are $200+ per night and pizza slices are over $5 on the boardwalk I believe Martell's prices are ok. The waitress was friendly and the afternoon band (Nine Deeez) was great. We had a lot of fun! We didn't stay for the Sunday evening band so we can't comment on that. I will probably return on a Saturday and update my review at that time.

Yelp
We stopped in for a couple of drinks and split a burger. The burger was nothing special, but the fries were at least good. Service sucked but that's because Payton got her tip before we were done eating, because if you sit at the bar when, it's dead and don't open a tab, you pay upfront, so why check on people if you already got your tip.

Yelp
I think this place is a solid 3 stars. Why? -they have booze. -they are in an oceanfront setting. -the bartender was quite good considering he had to handle an entire bar that was packed on an "unseasonably" warm mid-April day. He wasn't the type for friendly banter but he got the job done. -the fries probably come from Sysco or whoever supplies elementary school cafeterias. After a few drinks they seemed quite good. Slightly salty but aren't they always? The draft beer selection is pretty weak. They had patron tequila but the only variety of "1800" Brand was coconut. Nikki loves it, I think it tastes like old school suntan oil. There's always been some band playing every time I've gone. Are they good? I dunno, do you expect a band playing in this sort of venue to be top tier talent? I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the tiki bar if you're at the shore and want a drink with mediocre food. For satiety, one would be better off getting a boardwalk slice before or after imbibing, or sticking to bar standby's like the fries or chicken tenders. Then you can walk it off and enjoy your shore day.

Yelp
Found myself coming here at least every other week last summer. As the weather started to warm up we've returned and can't stop raving about it! Our last visit was with a party of 13. Everyone had such a lovely time. From the minute we checked in at the front everyone was highly friendly. It was great to see familiar faces such as this one bartender who makes by far the most amazing Bloody Marys ever!! The music was just right! The food is always delicious! The ambiance great! Keep it up Martell's! We love you!

Yelp
We had a mediocre experience at Martell's Beach Club/Tiki Bar restaurant. It was mostly our fault for sitting on the lower level closest to the beach. There were not many people and we felt a little isolated. Service was fine. Somewhat friendly but not overly so. The food was standard fare. Our burgers, fries, chicken fingers and quesadilla were all reasonably good. The biggest disappointment was how everything was served compared to the price we paid. They gave us plastic utensils, drinks in plastic cups, salt, pepper, ketchup and mayo in packets and our meals in plastic baskets. It felt more like a take-out joint instead of sit down dining. We definitely preferred our experience at the Boardwalk Bar and Grill the previous week with real utensils, glasses and plates not to mention warm, friendly service, a better atmosphere, really delicious food and a lower price tag.

Yelp
My first time at the famed Martell's Tiki Bar. It was really chill and lowkey when we went. We sat on the beach in a nice area and had a few drinks. The food and drink are pretty standard for a bar like this. Reasonably sized and priced and with a good amount of creativity. I personally got a red white a blue type drink with margarita, pina colada, and blue Curacao. Clams of the half were solid and the music was decent. The sound is much better closer to the stage though. Out of the beach area the live band was significantly muffled.
google avatar

Justine B.

Yelp
Very nice location on the boardwalk, but the food has definitely gone downhill. We had a party of 9 and everyone's food was flavorless and slimy. There was also a $5 cover for everyone to enter on top of eating and drinking. They had a dj but wasn't nearly as popular as the other bars next door. I don't this place should charge a cover considering the food quality and lack of crowd for dancing.

Wayne B.

Yelp
Service always is great. Especially Angie at the front bar. It has the greatest location with a beautiful scene at the Jersey Shore
google avatar

Nicole F.

Yelp
Martell's is a great bar restaurant located on the beach! It is truly the definition of summer at the Jersey shore. The atmosphere is lively and fun, with great music by talented live performers. It has multiple bar setups as well as table setups. The only downside is that it can get pretty crowded, as expected, so it can sometimes be difficult to grab a spot to sit. The drinks are always on point, with a wide variety of options to choose from. Many of their popular drinks are rum buckets, tiki tea, and oyster shots. They have plenty of bar eats, seafood, and also a sushi menu. Overall, I'd definitely recommend checking it out!
google avatar

Claudia S.

Yelp
The lobster sandwich was amazing! Big chunks of lobster and not too much mayo. My husband had the salmon bowl and it was tasty. It is VERY CROWDED but lots of FUN! Band and DJ

Wyatt T.

Yelp
Well we saw many reviews that were not good , but we have been there years ago and it was good food. All I can say is we ate at the tiki bar and had their menu and some sushi off the sushi bar menu. We didn't not eat at the lobster house this time . The food was average at best . The lobster was over cooked and the sushi was just ok, not like where you go wow . The staff was friendly enough though. Just not sure we would eat there again . Nice to place to drink with a great view but maybe not eat dinner there or lunch . Just our opinion.

Yelp
Don't own a bar if you don't know how to run one, ruined my groups trip out of state. Came here for a few drinks and to visit an old coworker, but instead was greeted by an aggressive, hot-headed bald security worker with an overinflated ego. How can you work a job at a bar and you can't tell a real ID from a fake one? The supervisor was even worse because they were so embarrassed with their mistake, instead of owning up, running a few numbers and APOLOGIZING to my group they instead decided they refused and then decided they didn't want to service us at ALL. Made a scene for no reason while I was trying to show my group around New Jersey. This place is utterly fucking embarrassing and deserved an entirely new security team and management team. Go across the boardwalk if you want to have a good time or at least care about service. This place will get a lawsuit one day for their lack of judgement and terrible customer service.

Yelp
Who the hell runs this bar so many Indians running around telling you what to do or what you can't do. Our waitress was so rude to us in the middle of a lightning storm. We were directed indoors and were told we could sit at a table until the storm passes. The waitress gave us a hard time, even though we were going to order some hors d'oeuvres and drinks. When she found out, we were not going to order dinners she Closed out our bill and just walked away. The worst service I have seen in over 30 years. No one puts a smile on their face. All the staff look very stressed out because they've got so many security guys watching your every move and hovering around all the patrons; totally uncalled for. If you want to be treated like shit, this is definitely the place for you. I will never go back again and I will tell all my friends this is not a friendly place.

Yelp
I was with my girlfriends a few weeks ago and we stopped by Martell's Tiki Bar to get a drink and have lunch. The first thing I noticed is you can't just walk in. You have to get in a line and go through security and get a wrist band even if you are just coming for lunch. I thought this was strange considering they have indoor and outdoor seating for food and drinks. It was a weekday afternoon around 12:30p. I sat at the bar and had a good view from my seat of the afternoon band that was playing. This place has an afternoon and evening band. In the fall the bands are on the weekend. I started with one of their signature frozen drinks called My-Ami Vice- It's a combination of a Pina Colada and strawberry Daiquiri topped with the Kraken Black Spiced Rum. I also added a floater.( A test tube filled with spice rum. Once you pull it up and out of the drink the rum tops the frozen drink.) This frozen drink is really good and on a warm day it's very refreshing. For my lunch I chose their SALMON SUSHI BOWL- Scottish Salmon Sliced And Served Over Baby Lettuce Topped With Cucumber & Avocado, Baby Corn, Seaweed Salad With A Teriyaki Glaze. This was really light, delicious and filling. The bartenders were very nice and friendly. The band was really good. I would definitely return to try some other food and drinks.

Yelp
Stay far away from here!! The bouncer is a jerk and not worth your time and assumes people have attitudes when we didn't know you need two forms of IDs for this place. This place needs to get their life together if they want people like bachelorette parties (as I'm in) to attend. But it makes sense why they have horrible stars. You need to have better staff to make money and for people to want to come!! Not inviting at all. RUDE! Goodbye going to Jenks instead!

Yelp
This place is one of the best places to go to if your at the beach !! The burger tasted like it was right off a grill !! , I love hot dogs so had to have that bbq feel.. and she had a lobster roll which she thoroughly enjoyed !! The boardwalk has a ton of options but this place between the sit down spot in the front or if you're feeling frisky they have this outdoor club/lounge area in the back that gets pretty wild !! This is definitely a spot you don't wanna pass up !!
google avatar

Jamie S.

Yelp
You're coming here to drink with your friends on the beach. Parking can be tough, get there early. You have to wait online to pay cover before entering. The later you get there, the more crowded it is. Drinks definitely have gotten much more expensive compared to the last time I was here years ago. The bartender Jess seemed super irritated and not friendly from the second we sat down. They have a variety of drinks and they have food too high is good. We got wraps, underwhelming and $20 ! This place has also became m club like- they have a DJ now and smoke machine. I guess you can't blame them for trying, and they were packed. Also no AC in the bathroom, it was so hot. So many people were complaining when we went in. It's definitely a different vibe here. Not quiet and peaceful but more clubby and loud if that's what you're looking for.
google avatar

Sherika H.

Yelp
Nasty security guard & bartender. I rather give my money to another company because they were nasty.
google avatar

Gwen P.

Yelp
Can I just preface this review by saying that the drinks are freakin' bomb. The food???? ... is like Costco microwavable, airfryer finger foods. Lol. But I liked how this place screams summer beachy boardwalk. The servers can definitely be overwhelmed by so many people at peak summer time, and that was very noticeable as we were part of a moderately large group for someone's bday. It passes though.
google avatar

Katherine W.

Yelp
Went pee at 645 am and they shut the bathroom down At 647 (meaning I was peeing in the dark at 647 pm). As a point native that's crazy.

Dustin A.

Yelp
This place is truly bad. The food is so bad and hArd to digest. If you visit Martel's, consider only getting a beer.
google avatar

INDIA O.

Yelp
I had a really nice time at this Bar. The food took a little longer than expected but the waitress was really moving. This place gets really packed and service is slow but honestly the food did not disappointed. After hanging at the Beach for most of the day my Husband and I decided to check this place out. We ordered Sushi, Quesadillas, Italian Sausage and Buffalo Boneless Chicken. Everything was on point. My favorite was the Sausage. One of the best Ive ever had because it was grilled and the bread was pressed. They just need to add a little more Onions and Peppers to that. I also loved how fresh everything was and didn't taste like it was sitting in a lamp all day. I recommend this place.

Yelp
Beach bar in the style of true jersey is represented by Martell's. You are always guaranteed a good time here based on vibes, drinks and service. They run a well oiled machine with the staff and space. Beware: drinks here while may seem weak, they WILL hit you; recommend always having water on your side and taking beach breaks. I thoroughly enjoy the dedicated beach area that you can drink on and the showers to leave the sand. With plenty of bar spaces and seating there is ample space for drinking and relaxing. The bathroom lines during peak time like anywhere else are long but they really make an effort to keep things tidy and safe (but after all it's summer on the beach so keep your expectations realistic). Food is decent but I haven't tried enough of it to really give an opinion. I do wish they did a little better on music, a lot of classic hits but I wish the music was more of a party. Love coming here at any time but especially at opening to drink with friends! Our go tos? Frozen Miami Vices w a floater!!! And crowd is always a mix but generally a good vibe, people don't come here to be miserable.

May S.

Yelp
The service was fantastic - highly recommend Rosie at the back bar if you can get her! The drinks were strong, the food was hot and fresh, and the staff was very professional. The waves, the music, and the whole vibe was immaculate.

Jemale B.

Yelp
Okay, let's start with this was only my second visit at Martell's. A friend told me it was a fun place right on the beach. I usually go to Long Branch or Belmar Beach if I visit the Shore. I am not a fan of Point Pleasant so I stay away. Okay my first visit was fun and on point. Maybe because I didn't do much but stayed in one area. I met some really cool people and that made it more enjoyable. Now, my second visit wasn't so good. My two friends got there 20 mins. before I arrived and paid $20 to get in. That was understandable because it's what it should cost. I arrived and was told the entry cost is $30. I said how is that when my friends just got here and paid $20. The staff at the front gate said "don't take it up with me, speak with my manager." Now I have promoted parties in the past and that could happen but a couple right in front of me (a certain color) was asked to pay $20. This is completely unacceptable. The prejudice behavior that goes on at Point Pleasant is out of control. It is one of the reasons I stay away from there. If that wasn't the straw that broke the camels back; listen to this. There was a fight that broke out. A black girl got into a argument with a white guy. The white guy punched her in the face, her boyfriend defended her and punched the white guy in his face. Well, the police along with security came rushing over; take one guess who got arrested!!! Well, not the white guy who started it all. Yes, he walked away continuing to party and both the black girl and her black boyfriend got taken out of the bar. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! FYI...each bar location price drinks how they want. You might pay $14 at one bar for and drink and $11 at another bar for the same drink; who's pocketing all this extra $$$. A message for the OWNER, train your staff to treat everyone equally, price every bar at the same rate, treat everyone the same and MOST OF ALL be fair on your entry price.... For those of a certain background, be mindful of your actions; it maybe your last visit at this place.
google avatar

Leo S.

Yelp
I went here with my friends during a weekend trip. I came here twice, during lunch and at night. For lunch, I ordered a Lobster BLT, and I swear, it was the most delicious BLT I've ever ate; 10 out of 10. My friends both ordered a chicken wrap... I know - lame. The drink menu was also extensive and the drinks were very refreshing. I had a couple sugary mixed drinks, but don't remember which ones I ordered. Overall, the place has a great location and vibe. The night life with live music was so much fun. I can't wait to go back to Point Pleasant and visit Martell's
google avatar

Brian R.

Yelp
We were looking to enjoy a nice day on the beach and also get some sea food. The tiki bars signs for crabs, oysters, shrimp and lobster drew us in. Being able to drink on the beach was also a plus. We paid 10$ each to get in which included beach access and seemed reasonable. The drinks and food seemed a little overpriced, but what isn't? My frozen margarita's were good. I was happy about the paper straw but they use plastic cups, plastic eating utensils and styrofoam plates. (There are eco friendly alternatives) The coconut shrimp were really good and came served with a raspberry sauce. My date got the crab cakes sandwich, served with tartar and fries. I got a mahi sandwich, fries with a spicy Mayo and mangos. They we're both ok. There was a live band playing in the boardwalk area, there was a dance floor, a lot of tables and a few bars. As you go down the stairs, there's more seating a DJ. Unfortunately since this place is right on the beach and uses single use plastics, the beach area was dirty. I don't expect people to eat and drink and clean up after themselves, so it was disappointing to see the lack of awareness by Martell's especially since the micro plastics in the ocean were noticeable.
google avatar

Rebecca G.

Yelp
I came to the tiki bar today for a frozen strawberry margarita. It was delicious - I could see strawberry seeds which means they used real strawberries. 10/10 The live music was good too. I think they were called Original Copy? Mostly early 2000's punk, but I happen to like that. I would definitely come back the next time I'm in the area.
google avatar

Desiree F.

Yelp
I have been here many times but this is my first review. I was very lucky to find a parking space when I arrived otherwise I would of had to pay to park. When I walked up to the Tiki bar the line wasn't so bad and it was moving. They were very organized and stuck to social distancing. We were seated at a high top and it was apart from the other tables. The hostess that sat us named Lyndsay was so nice and even helped us to get on the beach. Our server was Jill and she was nice and attentive as well. I ordered a drink and I didn't like it too much so she took it back and got another no problem. My friend ordered the yard drink and mozzarella sticks and she liked hers. The pricing wasn't too bad either. When we finished eating and drinking we went on the beach and they kept count of who was on and didn't let people on if they were at capacity. We had to look for a safe spot and we enjoyed how nice and clean the beach looked. Overall I had a good experience.
google avatar

Natty C.

Yelp
I love going to Martell's in the summer. It's VERY Jersey. If you're from Jersey, you know. It gets loud and crazy but that is part of the appeal. They play good music and sometimes have live music. It's $10 cover but that includes a beach pass. Their drinks are on the expensive side but sooo good. My favorites are piña colada, Miami vice, tiki tea and fresh squeezed. You gotta get an extra rum floater! The food is terrible so don't even bother. Also service takes forever if you want them to bring you drinks on the beach. I would just order from the bar.
google avatar

Ashley G.

Yelp
I'm not one to give bad reviews but Jess Jones (a bartender) left a terrible taste in my mouth. She is so biased when it comes to the service! She gives incredibly obvious way better service to her friends. My husband and I tipped her well over 20 percent on our first bill and she still treated us as if we weren't there and didn't matter. Coming from someone in the restaurant industry I am very offended and will never go out of my way to come back to her bar again. She acts like she hates her job and wishes she was somewhere else. Hate to break to her but you chose this not me. P.s. we payed for every drink on every bill and took care of her so well. Meanwhile, she is giving away the bar to her friends
google avatar

aristeia a.

Yelp
Labour day weekend was crowded but lots of tables in the back with umbrellas. Food decent and frozen drinks were delicious!
google avatar

Morgan W.

Yelp
Jess jones is the worst bar tender/person I've ever interacted with. We had no problems with her until she became very rude. She was incredibly racist to my Latina friend saying she "couldn't understand her" when she ordered 4 margaritas. She then would only give us 2 drinks, when she gave everyone one else multiple shots and as many drinks they requested. She said she "would like to give us 17 drinks so she would never have to see us again." She then told my girlfriend she wouldn't serve her TOO because she "couldn't understand her." Truly a terrible person and establishment. I can't believe she hasn't been fired. A lawsuit is bound to happen one day. Would not go back if my life depended on it. To quote icon and legend Tyra Banks "I wanna give you a zero, but it's not possible, so I give you a one."
google avatar

Nina A.

Yelp
The salad was horrible!! Absolutely tasteless. I don't usually write bad reviews, but with these prices I find it necessary. The staff is very friendly. Edit: The mozzarella sticks & fried avocado were great. Changed from one to three stars.

Audrey A.

Yelp
1. Took my unopened bag of chips claiming they were not allowed because they "sell" that product inside. (Untrue??????) They allowed all of my other food items inside. When I returned it was eaten. (I asked the guy at the front what happened to my chips and he said it was eaten). 2. Watered down drinks. All drinks are watered down AF. I am 82 lbs (light weight) and I drank a rum bucket in 5 minutes and felt NOTHING. Tasted like juice. 3. Unfriendly staff. 4. Food is MEDIOCRE and OVERPRICED. 5. Overall vibe is trashy, load repetitive music.
google avatar

Zoe R.

Yelp
The rum buckets are amazing and so is the frozen drinks! Food is great too! Fun environment! Love it!!! Best bar on point!
google avatar

Ed G.

Yelp
Great place to knock down a few and people watch. They have good bartenders and there's a stage where bands used to play on weekends. Didn't ask our barkeep if the bands were still jamming. Lots of places not having bands because of crowd control.
google avatar

Camille G.

Yelp
Great spot to stop in get fresh seafood and a few drinks. Chill with the beach breeze and a friendly bartender at any time of the day. We try to make this a must during the summer season. Great place, good food, enjoyable music, and friendly bartender.
google avatar

Will V.

Yelp
So nice to enjoy a meal on the water. Jessica our waitress was great and always had a smile under that mask!!! We ordered a half a pound of cocktail shrimp. They make their own cocktail sauce and you can tell. It's one of the best I've ever had. My wife has a crabcake sandwich with fries. I had the fish and chips. Came with fries but the same thing! We both enjoyed our meals. The Cod batter was delicious! I wish the fries were not frozen and made like boardwalk fries. Only thing missing to make this perfect. I recommend having a late lunch and stay for a band if they have one. Next time I go, I will order a 1LB of cocktail shrimp with that amazing sauce!
google avatar

Wah C.

Yelp
Good spot on the beach. They have good covid regulations and enough staff to ensure masks on if you're walking around. Had the peach tiki tea and it was great and tasty. Had the lobster roll and steamed clams while wifey had the fish. It was decent for the area, but nothing to rave about. But a nice spot when not crowded.

Yelp
I love Tiki Bar, we stopped in on Saturday afternoon and it was about 55-60 degrees. They had a live band going and we went to the back bar overlooking the ocean. It was beautiful and did get a little chilly so we moved closer to the front where they had the heat lamps on. There are at least 3 bars outside and they serve food out there as well. We didn't eat but we had a couple beers and they actually had draft beer unlike Jenks that we were at before where they claimed it was still offseason, not at Tiki it was lively. I had a Carton Boat beer which I get anytime I see it available. Beers will run about $6 a pop but the atmosphere really makes the place in my opinion. The outside area is very open and different from neighboring Jenks. I always prefer Tiki. There was no cover when we went but I have been on summer weekends at night and they did charge to get in.

Yelp
Okay, if you're looking for visual entertainment, and I don't mean that in a Cirque De Soleil way, Tiki Bar may just be for you. I mean for gazing at quintessential Jersey Shore folks in the MTV sense of the word, you'd be hard pressed to find a better venue. Considering the ridiculous cover charge which basically grants you admission to the attraction and the opportunity to purchase wildly over priced drinks and food, you also might just want to take a pass. I've been going there for years just to observe and maybe have some food, a drink and a laugh while visiting the rapidly declining Point Pleasant beach area. It seems that every year the crowd gets more seedy, the drinks more expensive and the food more bland. Perhaps the best example of this is the sign that reminds patrons to use the restrooms because urinating in public carries a $275 fine. I think its existence and necessity describes the clientele and experience way better than I can. See you again in 3 years for an update.

Yelp
I've been here many times and had no problems but today I didn't have a great experience. Bartender was very pushy on tip stating "gratitude is not included" when a tip was given. Never would I have thought that a business like this have employees like that. Overall this place is fantastic for a nice chill vibe but I will not be returning back.

Yelp
Not sure why everyone wants to come here. i think it's the ambiance of the feel of being on the tiki bar/beach without dealing with the sand. But everything here is just mediocre and surprisingly, everyone just seem to LOVE it. The drink are a bit on the weaker side.. they do that so that you would buy it with an extra shot. The food is just super basic but what do you expect really? I don't know about you. But When i think about the shore, i think about fatty fried foods. & if that's what you are into then you came to the right place. I wouldn't get anything fancy here, just stick to the chicken fingers and burgers because how can you mess that up? The portions are pretty big, thats the only thing I can really say that some foods are worth your buck. The service was a bit on the slow side but they were swamped, everyone just rose from the beach as the weather was getting cloudy. I wouldn't really come back for the food, if anything just the beers maybe lol

Yelp
There is a cover charge. You can bring snacks if you will be by the beach part. If you want a good spot you have to come really early. It gets so packed everyone's towels are literally right next to each. No room to even walk. The service is quite slow for drinks so be prepared to wait. But if you eat at the restaurant you can order all your drinks there. I ordered the lobster roll, looks good but didn't have much flavor. definitely needed more seasoning. The frozen drinks are really good.

Yelp
I spent a couple hours on the Jenkinsons beach. Decided to have lunch at Martell's tiki bar. We have the nachos and a cheese steak. The nachos where loaded up and good. The cheesesteak was very big! Me and my significant other where stuffed. So we ended up having a few $5.00 aluminum can beers. Then the band came on and we ended up staying till 6:00 lol we had a blast!!

Yelp
A seaside waystation on Point Pleasant Beach offering a sad sack selection of fried (fill in the blank) at larcenous pricing. Sunstroke is always tolerated more easily when accompanied by a severe case of gastrointestinal distress. Did I mention they serve sushi. A hard pass and an easy single star. Bon Appetit.
