A little cute and cozy café, perfect for breakfast or brunch. I had the Eggs Benedict with freshly squeezed juice—delicious! Just a tip: if you prefer your eggs fully boiled, let them know when ordering, otherwise you’ll get soft-boiled. A lovely spot to relax, especially after a morning walk.

I found this café by chance while talking with my daughter on the phone, and it looked very nice from the outside. Once inside, I immediately noticed the cleanliness, attention to detail, and calm atmosphere. I ordered a grapefruit juice, ginger tea, and a croissant with avocado — everything was perfect, with no mistakes. I stayed for more than two hours, and even the background music was calm and pleasant. The menu says cash only, and I had seen some negative reviews about that. But when I asked, there was no problem paying by card — good to know. Both food and service deserve 4 stars. Prices are fair, no overcharging. A great spot to relax and enjoy.

Great place for sunday morning! I had turkish eggs which were delicious, actually all we had was tasty. Were a little bit surprised with higher bill, but was worth it. I would come back again for great breakfast or brunch 👍🤤

Marthy's Kitchen in Prague is a lovely spot, especially if you’re in the mood for something sweet. I went there with my friend Ondra on a Friday after work, and we tried the waffles—they were really good, though honestly a bit too big to finish. The drinks were also nice, and in summer you can sit outside, which makes the place even more enjoyable. It has a relaxed, welcoming vibe—perfect for ending the week on a sweet note.

I visited Marthy’s Kitchen recently. The cappuccino was fine. However, the rest of the experience was disappointing. The soup was served with undercooked meat — brown on the outside but still pink and raw inside. This is a basic issue of food safety, not a matter of personal taste. When I pointed this out, the staff offered to “cook the leftovers” instead of properly addressing the problem, which is not acceptable in a professional setting. The restaurant also accepts only cash, a curious choice in 2025 — especially in an era when transparency and convenience are considered the norm. Overall, serious issues with food quality, customer service, and basic modern standards. I would not recommend dining here unless these problems are addressed.

Google
Delicius breakfast or brunch menu, homemade bread, mimosa with orange pulp and great service. I highly recommend. Love it! Greetings from Slovakia and thank you for the hospitality this morning 🫶

Google
Really delicious Gluten Free brunch here! Hard to find, vegetarian, gluten free, TASTY options in Prague and this hit the spot! Such fresh food, no faults! Returning again on our last day!

Google
The BEST place for breakfast! Super cute cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Breakfast and brunch foods are served all day - I had plain French toast, a smoothie, and some eggs. It was pricey but I really enjoyed the meal. The service was quick and friendly which is not always the case in Prague. Highly recommend.

Yelp
10/10 you're looking for something easy and tasty. Note they take reservation so if you're planning to visit, you can prepare a head of time. They are not a place to walk in and expect to be seated fast, no matter your party size.

Yelp
A great, cute brunch location- they also have drinks so might be great for lunch and dinner too. They have menus in both Czech and English- the staff is so nice and wonderful. Everything is prepared well! The pricing is a bit higher and you might need to wait a bit for food, but overall had a good experience. While we were waiting, we got our drinks- I had ordered a fresh fruit smoothie that was made to order. It had an interesting straw, like it was made of pasta or a hard wax? I believe it was just a type of eco friendly material I'm not familiar with. Food overall was good! I never had the bread with cream so it was honestly a little different from what I had envisioned, but it was still good and not too sweet. My husband salad was delicious on the other hand. Egg was rich and poached just right!

Yelp
Don't order the basket of pastries. It's just bread. Place was clean but eggs were COLD. Coffee is good and actual pastry's looked good

Yelp
Ok, first it is not a French restaurant even croissants are way far from original French croissant. We ordered two eggs Benedict with salmon, two croissants and two cappuccinos. To be honest cappuccinos we're amazing! Croissants were made out of gray color flour and not crispy at the top and not buttery. Eggs Benedict were okay but they pour the whole plate with some weird yellow sauce that basically covered the entire meal and was really interfering to feel the taste. So overall 3/5. Try harder guys!

Yelp
Dissapointing. We heard good things about this place. Our food took an hour and it wasn't that good. The ratatouille portion was small and I wasn't even close to full afterward. My friend got the galette and it was more of a crepe? Also she found a hair in her food. I saw the lady working there drop a baguette and didnt throw it away after she picked it up. Lastly, they charge you for tap water which seems ridiculous. They seem understaffed and the other customers around us seem to be waiting a long time for their food as well. The decor is cute and the wifi is decent, but I definitely wouldn't come back.

Yelp
Nice place to stop by to grab something to eat after a stroll along the Vltava River. Waitresses are friendly even to tourists, especially compared with the local standard. Had strawberry mimosa, English Breakfast, and French Omelette with Goat Cheese, which are a nice break from local traditional Czech foods.
google avatar

Alessandra C.

Yelp
My favorite brunch spot in Prague. It has a quaint, charming atmosphere and traditional brunch food. the goat cheese omelette is fantastic and their bread is baked fresh. it's a small space so there's usually a wait, but the food is definitely worth it.
google avatar

Martina K.

Yelp
This is a perfect brunch spot but seating is very limited so be ready to wait. The wait was very worth it. The food and drinks were great. The atmosphere gave me a very home-y vibe!

Yelp
In a word: disappointing. The "Eggs Benedict with Ham" had a literal tiny bit of cold ham that was probably taken out of a packet from the supermarket just before it got to my plate. If that wasn't disappointing enough, one of the two eggs had a broken yolk before it even got to my table. For the price, it absolutely wasn't worth it. I had high hopes for this place, based both on the reviews and personal recommendations. But, it was, in a word: disappointing.

Yelp
My husband and I studied abroad in Prague six years ago and this was our favorite place to eat. We returned to Prague this year to visit and Marthy's Kitchen is still at the top of our list for restaurants in Prague. We compare every place to Marthys and I don't think any place will beat it. The food is consistently good, the service is amazing, and the place itself is adorable. We'll come back every time we visit Prague

Yelp
Came here on Saturday morning and the place was packed! We were seated on a small two top in the middle of the restaurant which was fine for us, but it seemed like we were in the way of the servers getting around. I had a macchiato and BF ordered juice. Both were fine. I ordered the French breakfast and BF ordered the smoked salmon Benedict. He ended up getting the ham Benedict but just ate it so we didn't have to wait for his new entree. He ate it all but said it just tasted average. My French breakfast looked good, but unfortunately that's all it was. The hard boiled egg was wayy undercooked. The whites of the egg were still liquid, making it impossible to eat with a spoon because it was just a jelly-like consistency. That made me grumpy because I was love eggs. The croissant was fine. And the selection of cheeses were okay, but nothing remarkable. Fruit was standard. Service was a bit rude. I get that it was busy but didn't see the need for an attitude. It's a cute place, but there's better restaurants and friendlier service!

Yelp
[OVERALL] I really love this place. The interior feels super homey, and the waiters are super nice. The food takes quite a bit of time to come out (20-30 minutes), but the prices are very cheap, the portions are very reasonable, and the food itself is always pretty good. There's also free WiFi that's actually fast and consistent. Breakfast items are served all day on weekends too! [FOOD] Eggs Benedict with Ham: To be honest, this tastes okay. It's not amazing, but it's not bad at all. It is quite filling though. Fluffy Omelette: Very good. The eggs are nice and light, and there's a fresh side salad that comes with it. Five Pancakes with Bacon and Maple Syrup: These were really good. The pancakes are about the size of your palm, and they're nice and fluffy. The bacon pairs well with the sweet maple syrup. Croque-Madame Sandwich: Pretty standard sandwich. It's really filling. Marthy's Home-made Pure Beef Burger: The burger tastes very very good; however, it's sometimes hit or miss, as the bun is sometimes a little dry/stale and the fries are sometimes soggy. Nevertheless, the burger itself is very juicy and the onions are super sweet and delicious. Grilled Goose Breast (Monthly Menu - December 2016): Comes in a very big portion. The goose is really good and tender with a slightly gamey taste. The cranberry espuma is slightly sweet and reminds me of yogurt. Waffles: They were nice and fluffy and a good way to end a meal.

Yelp
My go-to breakfast spot in Prague! The French toast and omelettes are delicious. The dishes are all inexpensive and the service is great!

Yelp
For our first brunch in Prague, we couldn't have asked for a better place. While it is a bit pricier compared to other options, it still comes out cheaper than the typical American or Danish brunch which is all I can ask for. Price: I had the apricot pancakes and eggs benedict, which came out to be less than $15 USD. Food: the pancakes were small and only had 5 pieces, which comes out to be a regular 1.5 sized pancake. It's on the pricier end, so I'd stick to just the eggs benedict which was fantastic! It wasn't overcooked and popped like a beauty as it should. It was also filling and kept us going till a late lunch - perfect for tourists on the move. Seating: it's definitely tight in there, and our group of 7 barely fit since we lucked out and it wasn't packed. It got packed later on as we were leaving, so come early if you're in a large group! Service was more attentive than other restaurants, but the restaurant isn't really more than a room.

Yelp
Amazing food! This was the first place we ate at in Czech and let me tell you, we were not discussed. It was delicious! The interior is really cute as well. Rustic style.

Yelp
Small local cafe with morning vibes, nice design and most importantly- good cappuccino and tasty eggs:) I was there right before Christmas and it was a amazing ""warm "shelter" from the cold. Since it's small, random visitors sit together and I liked it.

Yelp
Excellent chilled lemonade! The breakfast was perfect, too. The WC was a little tricky to find given the fact that the door was open and not marked well. One server kindly directed me where it was, though, while the other (perhaps a kitchen staff member) rudely mumbled in Czech about how silly it was that I went the wrong direction. Besides that, we enjoyed our time at Marthy's.

Yelp
Good food, but expect to wait to get a table. A little pricey but a large menu to choose from. It's very small inside

Yelp
This place used to be one of the hidden jewels of Prague but with time became packed, inconsistent and of course the overall quality went down. Nowadays I only go there when Marty's cooking otherwise I prefer to go somewhere else. The burguers are really good but my favorites are the French breakfast and the sweet deserts.

Yelp
I came here with the intention of sitting down to do work - WRONG. I did see one girl sitting down with a computer but this busy, extremely small shop is no place to do work. I waited about 45 minutes for s table for one on a Saturday morning (probably my fault I came on a weekend). The bread was amazing but my eggs with bacon were only decent (you can definitely get better eggs for much cheaper other places). Staff was friendly.
google avatar

Jessica H.

Yelp
I came here for brunch and had the salmon on Eggs Benedict. For American standards, brunch was pretty cheap, but I didn't get any satisfaction from the food that I ate. The salmon was far from fresh, the egg was completely cooked, and in general there was no distinct flavor for the sauce on the eggs benedict (it just tasted kind of like egg on bread). Marthy's Kitchen fills up your stomach, but I never had a "wow, the food tastes good" moment, so I'd skip this place if I were you. Then again, I only tried one dish.

Yelp
What a lovely place! Soooooo cute and cossy. Just right the corner od Namesti Miru. The food is very unusual. The chef is playing with it. I loved it here. Its a bit small though so you might like to book a table.

Jay S.

Yelp
Looking for an "American" breakfast with a French twist. Marthy's was the perfect spot. Note that this is a small neighborhood cafe --- maybe 20 seats inside, 8 on the sidewalk. Expect to wait outside --- it is worth the wait. I had delicious bacon & eggs with a small salad. Wife had terrific pancakes (with maple syrup!) Good coffee. Friendly professional service even when very busy. We will be back for dinner.

Yelp
Was so excited to visit Marthy's kitchen while we spent a month in Prague but had a very big let down of an experience. Place was busy but we were fine waiting. After standing out in the cold they decided that it would make sense to take the people standing there the least amount of time, not by the order of who arrived. After waiting an hour we were finally seated. The food was pretty okay except every order of eggs benedict had overcooked eggs (not a poached egg). We waited a long time for a check and once we asked they said we have to check out up front which would have been nice to know earlier. The women checking us out was not friendly. Basically to sum things up the food was okay but the employees were unfriendly and not great to be around. Wont go back unfortunately.

Yelp
A small quaint and charming place, we had a late breakfast and our party of 4 enjoyed it. I had eggs and bacon on toast, the thick bread tasted homemade. Eggs Benedict were also yummy. The coffee latte was lukewarm (I like mine hot) but the americano I ordered afterwards was super hot so it balanced out. Service was good, it's so small you can look over and find the waiters anytime. I'd go there again.
google avatar

Cielo C.

Yelp
The place is tiny! So much so, we almost missed it when we walked by. But if you're willing to wait 10 minutes or so, the breakfast is really nice! My husband had an English breakfast and his only complaint was that it was too small (as Americans we find that European sizes are smaller in general so I wasn't surprised by his assessment). However, I had a bagel with salmon (aka lox and bagel) and it was the perfect portion for me. The cappuccino was delicious and fairly inexpensive (compared to other places) and overall we had a lovely time! We went with another couple so I would agree that it's not perfect for groups but nice nonetheless.

Yelp
Very cute place. You feel like your in a different world when you enter. I got the creamy eggs with a cafe latte. Can't go wrong!
google avatar

Samantha F.

Yelp
Such an adorable cafe! Decor was very cute and charming. My food was delicious and I had the best latte. The staff was very friendly and our waitress tried her best to speak in English to us which was very sweet! The prices are fairly reasonable. My pancakes and bacon would have cost triple the amount in the States. Will definitely be returning to Marthy's while I'm here!
google avatar

Yelp
The good: As a non Czech speaker, I appreciate that the menu is in English and the server was polite and spoke English. Also, as other reviewers have noted, the atmosphere was cozy and quaint. The bad: The food was mediocre, at best (e.g., the eggs were burnt on the bottom and rubbery and hard to cut with a knife; the "mini sausages" were actually small hotdogs swimming in a bath of lukewarm water). The ugly: There is a charge of 10czk for a glass of room temperature tap water.
google avatar

Robert S.

Yelp
Great place for breakfast, portions are large and quite tasty. The atmosphere is quaint and you get a sense that this is where friends and family come to have breakfast. Decent price for the amount of food you get and the stuff was quite nice
google avatar

Alberto T.

Yelp
Very cozy place. Good food, just waiting a bit too much. Mainly foreigners around. Not possible to pay with credit card. Suggested.

Megan W.

Yelp
Pretty good breakfast! The bread & butter is really good & the Eggs Benedict! Would recommend trying it at least once!
google avatar

Petra B.

Yelp
In general fine place, but I expected something more. It is about the average coffee place opened in this part of Prague. Our order was mixed, waiting time quiete long, but the place was full. I did not have feeling of relax late breakfast here.
google avatar

Amy L.

Yelp
I've been here several times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner when I studied abroad in Prague for 4 months a year go. During those four months, the staff was always so kind whenever I had trouble deciphering the menu (they were changing it at the time and it wasnt translated just yet). It says a lot about the service when I go in roughly 5 times a week and I'm always met with smiles and patience. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. Martin, the owner, is always changing up the menu and I always enjoyed the daily dishes as well! Their homemade iced tea is also super refreshing (especially when you're used to canned iced tea in the states). Overall, 5 stars for the food, price, and amazing service. This place really made me feel right at home in spite of all the language barriers :)

Yelp
We love Marthy's kitchen! They're pricier than the chains, but the hominess and sweet decor make it worth it. ALL of the pastries were fantastic in our book.

Avrilsolen A.

Yelp
Just perfect for breakfast! Eggs Florentine a dream. But come early to get a seat. Pancakes and lemonade was also very good.

Roald B.

Yelp
First of all, the food is amazing! This is a place you visit If you want great food. We had breakfast twice, and everything was freshly made. The sitting is small, but charming.
