The hotel is ideally located in the city center, just a short walk from the train station, making it perfect for tourists and business travelers alike. The rooms are clean and comfortable, though not luxurious. Some amenities, like a refrigerator, are missing, which might be inconvenient for some guests. However, the restaurant and bar are outstanding, offering great food, drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. In summary: this hotel is a great choice for its prime location, excellent service, and pleasant vibe. If you don’t mind missing a few room amenities, it’s a solid option for your stay in Groningen.

It’s a very bad value for many, since I have chosen the hotel for the promoted image and willingly paid double or triple other hotel prices, and in return got what? 1- very small, dark room with an edged wall that is soo uncomfortable. 2- heaters are not working. 3-TINY bathroom. 4- like REALLY TINY, barbie house style, so to wash your face, first you need to bend really down (am short 150cm tho)and then while trying to wash your face you will either knock your face to the rack/ shelf above the water tap or knock your hand, or both! And in all cases you will create a mess around you trying just to simply wash your face. 5-the shower douche is built-in in the wall, and I didn’t see this common in hotels, I asked to change the room, the receptionist said that they actually have rooms where the shower douche can be hand-held but I need to upgrade my room! This is completely pointless because I already need 2 persons room, and while booking there was no any options of levels of room or any similar thing , AND upgrade to more than 130 euro for double beds room for one night??? Do you really consider 1 night in a very tiny room for 130 as “standard room”? Then that is a serious issue honestly :) 6- NO ANY FACILITIES IN THE ROOM, not a water bottle, kettle/coffee machine, mini-bar, hair-dryer, no anything you would ever expect to find in a low-budget hotel is in that high budget hotel. The room is not cozy at all. 7-the ceiling has a weird -small-whole, it does nothing honestly but it’s just annoying that there is no maintenance and you are starring at the ceiling until you fall asleep without the heaters. The receptionist was nice and friendly, the location of the hotel is good, close to the city centre. BUT I wouldn’t recommend it for that price range.

While some rooms didn't match their online photos, the staff were excellent and welcoming. We were initially assigned a small room with poor air quality, but they upgraded us to a better one.

Our company is renting this hotel for us overnight prior further travel. There are rooms on the 4th floor, which are relatively ok. But old rooms on lower floors deserve 2 stars. The only reason for 3 stars is the kitchen. Usually we always used to stay in the 4th floor rooms, but last times in old ones and the feeling like you're in a cheap hostel... These rooms are screaming for renovations...

Smoking and beer drinking guests hanging out of the windows. Guests trashing the dorms so loud you can hear it floors up. Asked the staff for different room or if something could be done, staff wasn’t remotely interested in helping. Zero empathy towards me as a guest. Nothing could be done, good night. For 150euro room you can get much better at different hotels. Don’t book here. The hotel responded to different reviews that guest service is important. Well, it sound like they are a bit forgetful on their own promises

I've been staying here every year since about 2008/2009. If you're a motorcyclist and attending the Assen race meetings, look no further than the Martini but book early. The staff are always friendly, accomodating and helpful. The attached WEEVA restaurant serves a wonderful selection of courses that are prepared and served to a very high standard. Another point in its favour is it's location being just a five minute walk from the noise and bustle of the City centre.

Staff are great really nice.location great.the breakfast was super.the room had no AC 231.the fans yes 2 fans waste of time.98euro per night plus 16.50 breakfast. Shocking.it was like a oven couldn't wait to leave.really had problems sleeping. There are rooms with AC just not mine.if I had ac it would have been 5 star. Reading your reply you hope you can make amends? How? If I book 1 night I get 1 for free??? Or is it just cheap talk.id love to come back soon. Regards Steve bond

Good experience only because of reachability , otherwise room size is very small, toilet and bathing area is very small. No amenities in the room ( kettle, iron, etc). Breakfast is the normal bread side. it's average 2 star hotel.

Yelp
Very welcoming. Exceptional service. Excellent food. The restaurant and hotel next door (Hotel Martini) make a great combination. A wonderful Groningen experience. Visit this city. Stay in this hotel. Dine here. You will not be disappointed. Both are in the city center - walking distance from everything Try the melon and Parma ham appetizer and the mushroom risotto and asparagus entree.

Yelp
Been there a couple of days ago in a weekday with my wife for dinner. The atmosphere was good, the service was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. Price-wise, I think it was quite ok, actually, for the quality of the overall experience. I would definitely recommend Weeva to anyone visiting Groningen. For the record, I had the leg of lamb (sliced) with fries, my wife had meatball with potatoes and for dessert she had a delicious poffert (local sweet cake) and I had a marvelous cheese cake.

Yelp
Black pudding tasted like old bread dipped in sugar syrup. Ordered mushroom sauce for my steak (which was good) but did not receive it with the meal. It appereared on the bill anyways, just as two cups of tea we did not order. Food was below average but priced above. Cannot recommend to go there.
