The warm welcome we received upon arrival set the tone for a fabulous four days in Port Douglas. Interim hosts, Barbara and Ken, showed a genuine interest in us as travelers. They eagerly shared their in-depth knowledge of the area and the Port Douglas amenities. We found their recommendations were spot on! These two know how to deliver exceptional hospitality. ||The property is conveniently located near the end of the Port Douglas CBD strip. It was an easy walk downtown and to the beach. The rooms were absolutely clean and well-equipped and the one-bedroom apartment provided us with the perfect amount of space. The facility is quiet and the bedrooms cool and dark: A great receipt for restful sleep. The property’s lush garden setting and pool area provided a great social space. It was easy to meet other travelers and learn from them. ||All around our Port Douglas visit was enhanced because of our choice of the Martinique. Many thanks to relief managers Barbara and Ken for the added personal attention!

Absolutely loved this place, travelled with my son and all went really smoothly. Ken was excellent with communications and booked in advance a couple of trips for us which were amazing. Nothing too much trouble, used the BBQ outside and Ken/Colin provided utensils sauces etc. Port Douglas was our favorite place on a road trip from Brisbane and Martinique our favorite accommodation!

fantastic location at the quiet end of town, 1 min to the beach and 3 mins to the shops and cafes. Room and communal areas are spotlessly clean and the best made bed I’ve ever seen. Apt has all you’ll need. Shaded private pool that’s kid-free. Colin and Ken are very informative and def make your trip bookings via them for best advice and a discount !

Lovely apartment, dining area, sitting room, lovely bedroom, good shower and small balcony, small swimming pool and laundry on site. Handy for all the amenities in Port Douglas. Lovely owners, nothing too much trouble. Microwave, hob, toaster and kettle meant I could self cater. Port Douglas was amazing, would definitely go again. Enjoyed snorkelling and walking on 4 mile beach. Lots of restaurants, supermarket and good shops.

We had initially planned to stay here in 2020 and then Covid happened. The hotel had been recommended to us by friends who had stayed there previously. |In all our interactions with Ken from 2020 until we were finally able to visit Port Douglas he had always been so friendly whilst being professional.|The hotel is very close to the 4 mile beach on one side and all the shops and restaurants on the other.|We stayed in room 14 which was 2 floors up. It was spotless and very comfortable and had everything we needed for our short stay.|Our major regret was not timetabling our holiday to spend more days here. Each day we had there was filled with tours which, incidentally, Ken booked for us. So we never got to chill by the pool. Maybe next time because we would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Ken and Colin were super welcoming and great at giving local advise when needed. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, the gardens were perfectly manicured - picture perfect. Amazing location, a minute from the beach and a minute walk to shops, cafes, restaurants yet was in a peaceful bubble which was so relaxing. So glad we stayed here.

Just spent 4 days here and had a fantastic time. Both Ken and Colin are wonderful, very helpful and know the area well. Our room was lovely, overlooking the pool. Clean and tidy and the balcony view was lovely. The place is restful and quiet, an ideal adults only escape. Very close to 4 mile Beach and all the shops in Port Douglas. Highly recommend for a peaceful escape.

Stayed here with my fiancé for a few nights this past week and I don't think I've ever felt so welcome on arrival. The place is perfectly positioned in Port Douglas, being situated at the quieter end of the town for a restful night's sleep and a literal stone throw (if I had bigger arms) from Four Mile Beach. We were provided with all the information we could possibly need for a fun packed stay and no question was left unanswered. If/when we come back to Port Douglas we'd 100% check here first for availability.

Yelp
My wife & I stayed here on our honeymoon in 2018. I would consider it more of a bed & breakfast (without the breakfast) than I would your traditional hotel & that's what we loved about it. We were checked into our room by the owner who had a nice bottle of wine waiting for us as a marriage gift. The hotel is close to the beach & just down the street from the main road with shops/restaurants. The hotel arranged a shuttle to pick us up at 4a for our 6a flight back in Carnes which we greatly appreciated (we hadn't been able to find anyone to pick us up so thankfully they knew a company!) 5/5 would stay here again.

Yelp
This a great little hotel, with a fantastic and helpful staff. The rooms are quite spacious, and the location -- on the main strip, Macrossan -- is very good. It's a small walk -- 5 minutes or so -- to the side of Macrossan that has most of the restaurants. The only issue I had there was consistent with other Australian hotels: flaky internet. But, in comparison to other hotels, it was a steal at only $10 for the entire stay. For those who are deciding between Port Douglas and Cairns; I think Cairns is probably better for the 20's set -- more opportunities to party -- but for 30 and over the balance starts to turn over to Port Douglas.

Yelp
I'm annoyed that this is even listed as a hotel when it's really not. The folks that work there are really nice but that's about it. The room was slightly outdated and was not as clean as I would have liked. I felt like it was more of a rental apt unit since they did not clean the rooms everyday and the front desk was not always available. I would say the location (close to the beach and shopping area) was pretty ideal and the price was reasonable so I would recommend this place to others if they were looking for an apt-like lodging. But for me, I wasn't all about it.
