Tiny but unique hotel with both modern and historic touches. The hotel was converted from an old monetary and it kept some of the same building structure such as the bricks, the cathedral architecture elements and the courtyard style. The room is compact but clean, comfortable and well maintained.
The hotel doesn't have a real restaurant but the breakfast buffet is amazing with superb quality pastries, fresh veggies, cheese, yogurt, cereal and eggs. Coffee is phenomenal as anywhere else in Europe.
I've always had great experience staying here every time I visit Belgium. I happened to be here during the Brussels terrorists bombing this week (March 2016). My flight was cancelled and it was tough getting out as you can imagined. During the whole process, the staff here was very helpful and accommodating while I had to keep adjusting my stays, and needing help for advise on alternative transportations to leave Belgium. I'm very grateful and will not hesitate to stay here again.
