One of the most recognizable sights in town, the gate is most beautiful from the inner city side. Shame there is a McDonald's located next to it. However it's stunning still. Too bad its not open to the public.

The Martin‘s Tor is the oldest city gate dating back to 1238. Next to it is a McDonalds in a historic building

It is a small and calm city close to Germany's black forest region where we can see the funicular, cathedrals and mediaeval old township. Martin's gate, stadt theatre, munzterplatz, many to see. Freiburg cathedral you can visit for free. Surrounded by old beautiful buildings, restaurants and parlours. Some singing performers were on the street. A really rare view that you can notice small canals (natural water flow) running alongside the road called 'Bachle'. Children enjoyed it.We used the tram transport to reach there from the Stadt hotel. All the city is a pedestrian zone and we walked from one end to the other by foot.it was an unforgettable trip.

Nice very tall tower. It's a pity I couldn't fly my drone there to get a nice aerial shot of the whole gate.
