Visiting the Martiros Saryan House Museum in Yerevan is an unforgettable experience one that immerses you in the vibrant, soulful world of Armenia’s most celebrated painter. From the moment you step inside (starting from the 3rd floor), you’re surrounded by breathtaking colors that seem to radiate warmth and life. Saryan’s masterpieces don’t just depict Armenia’s landscapes and people; they breathe, glow, and pulse with emotion, making you feel as though you’ve stepped into a dream painted in the richest hues. One of the most moving moments of the visit is the old telephone, where you can hear Saryan’s actual voice. It’s an indescribable feeling like traveling through time and connecting with the artist himself, listening to his words echo through the very walls where he lived and created. It adds a deeply personal touch to the experience, reminding you that behind these legendary works was a man with a vision, a passion, and a voice that still lingers. The museum staff are incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, eager to share stories about Saryan’s life and art. Their warmth makes the visit even more special, as they guide you through his home with genuine enthusiasm and pride. Whether you’re an art lover or just someone looking to experience something truly beautiful and soulful, the Martiros Saryan House Museum is a must visit in Yerevan. It’s not just a gallery it’s a journey through color, history, and heart.

We had a wonderful tour guide, Artur. He immediately tailored the tour to our needs — we had a 9-year-old child with us, and Artur managed to capture his interest. The tour was incredibly engaging, with vivid and memorable stories. After the tour, we still had time to walk around and explore the exhibits on our own. It’s great that the museum is located right in the city center on a trendy street, so it’s easy to find a place to grab a bite afterwards. Don’t miss the staircase next to the museum building — it features a mosaic of a Saryan painting.

We had a very disappointing experience with the service. Upon entering, no one attended to us, even though we were the first customers. Instead, staff started serving people who arrived after us. When another employee finally approached, they asked how many items we wanted, placed a box in front of us, and then walked away to make calls and send messages. We were a group of six and felt completely disregarded. The lack of professionalism and attention left us frustrated, and we decided to leave without being served.

Pleasant artistic atmosphere. It's actually hard to describe the feelings with words but I'll try. First of all it consists of the three floors and Saryan's studio. The guide was telling interesting things of the artist's life and not only. Besides of the paintings portraying Armenian nature tere were a lot books, piano, photos of relatives and etc. Nice museum to get introduced to Armenian visual art

The museum has a pleasant layout, artwork, personal belongings, documents, photographs. Very good to get an overall view of life as well as to see artwork. There was a nice video biography running in one room too. Interesting how Martiros began doing art before revolution, then he witnessed revolution, genocide, civil war and so on, then he progressed after world war 2 in Soviet time... Quite comprehensive overview of life and work. Taking photographs is prohibited but I saw some presumably patriotic Armenian visitors not phased by the warning and openly documenting art work) bold men! Respect! I was sneaky! )🤭

You'd see a lifetime work of an artist in his home. You'd see his transformation from an amateur to a professional. I'm not an artist and I cannot describe it artistically, but you'd enjoy it.

Hours not updated on Google maps by the museum staff in a timely professional manner and additionally staff was also rude when asked a simple question about an upcoming event. Art was wonderful nonetheless!
