Martyrs' Lane

Martyrs’ Lane is a place that is difficult to describe in simple words. It is filled with both deep sorrow and profound respect for the soldiers who lost their lives in war. This is not a tourist attraction in the usual sense, but a place of remembrance. It is not only a memorial alley, but also an actual cemetery. For this reason, the visit can feel emotionally heavy for some people, and it’s completely understandable if you choose to pass by. The site requires calm behavior and sincere respect for the graves and the memory of those who are buried here. Martyrs’ Lane is located within Highland Park and can be visited as part of a walk, but only with the appropriate mindset and respect for the significance of the place.

A place with lots of emotion and history. The park is well maintained. You can take photos of Flame Tower from here.

It’s located on a small hill. One can reach here either by taxi or by Funicular from Boulevard. It is built in the memory of all those who died Russian invasions also known as Black January 1990. If you walk little further then one can see Memorial Flame. From here one can stunning view of Caspian Sea.

Super serene, sad, beautiful, everything. Gives you a real appreciation of the early 90s and the massacre that happened.

Wonderful place with a unique architecture, better to use the funicular to go up there with only 1 manat

I was expecting a more spiritual and less rigid approach, unfortunately it's not much of an experience aside from the great view at the end.
