Wonderful hotel in center. Room and bathroom spacious. We spent a lot of time together in roof top enjoying views and breeze. We actually had computer work to do and was great spot to “work”. Very fast internet. Food was good. Breakfast buffet is very complete for all tastes. |Ask for room facing courtyard. Mine gave to street and was very noisy one evening.

We visited for sunset drinks and a meal on the rooftop bar. Lovely view across stone town and the ocean beyond. Good options for tapas plates and main courses with a south Asian influence. Service was adequate. Live music was a nice touch and added to the atmosphere.

Nice rooftop for an afternoon cocktail and to see the sunset. Good location in Stone Town.|We’ve enjoyed the end of the day playing a game with the family, sitting and relaxing. Not the smallest rooftop, but surely a nice place to spend some time for a drink. |As we did not have dinner here, cannot commend on that.

The maid staff and valets were great and very helpful but we found the manager in the restaurant difficult to watch - he berated his entire female staff in front of customers on multiple occasions when they were doing an excellent job. He also openly tried to pacify/ buy favor from male customers he wanted to impress by giving them alcohol. This misogynistic behavior was uncomfortable for our group.

Most of the staff were very friendly helpful all of the time. The room was comfortable and spacious, but mine was very noisy as it looked into the centre quadrangle of the building. I was awoken most nights on multiple occasions by staff cleaning and moving around noisily (room4). The restaurant had limited choice which quickly became boring (I stayed 7 nights). On the plus side the hotel picked me up and dropped me off from and to the airport. It is also in the centre of Stone Town which a historic area and is close to the sea front.

The location was great. The staff could be a little happier. The main issue was the noise. Karaoke blasting into our room well past 10pm was not acceptable. In addition you could hear chairs scrapping across the floor from the bar above.

We visited the Restaurant , located on 4th top floor in the evening, after viewing the menu posted at street level and wanted to eat from the Swahili menu -see pictures-but the evening menu didn’t have it. We have a pure vegetarian family member and she was excited about eating the Mchicha Wanazi -Spinach in coconut and Ugali The Manager Mr Anand ,was kind enough to ask the chef and brought us the meal -he made the day!.I tasted a bit of the Ugali -perfectly made ( not hard or soft like I got in my boarding school !) The service was excellent, servers very accommodating and with smiles and the food we ordered was excellent-a Seafood biryani, Kukupaka (chicken in coconut curry ) etc The kids ordered pasta and cheese sauce !! Worth a visit and the music brought great ambiance both musicians had great voices ! Then after the kids got to enjoy the playground downstairs

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel and restaurant. The hotel itself is very nice and keeps improving its services. The restaurant offers truly authentic Indian cuisine, and the food was absolutely excellent.||One of the highlights was the chefs — they are so friendly and welcoming. They even came to our table to discuss our preferences and made sure everything was perfect. The dishes they prepared were full of flavor, and they even went beyond the menu to create something special for us.||There are plenty of options for both Western and non-Western dishes, as well as delicious seafood. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and warm hospitality.||Thank you for a memorable experience — I really enjoyed it!
