"Freshly baked doughnuts and brunch at Marula Mercantile A leafy garden café set in the suburb of Karen, Marula Mercantile is great for a boozy, long brunch over the weekend. Relatively newly-opened, it’s a cool and elegant place with wooden decking, brassy chairs and a well stocked bar. Must-tries on the menu include the sweet potato fritters with a tamarind dip, feta with dill and toasted sesame seeds, grilled halloumi salad and crispy french fries. They also make home-made doughnuts here, which you won’t want to miss."
I can't say enough about the wonderful service, food and atmosphere of Marula. We walked here from our AirBnB and were immediately greeted by a warm hostess and later the chef. I recommend sharing a few plates so that you can get a full sense of the menu. Nothing disappoints.
For anyone that was here before, it's important to note that it is under new ownership with a new menu (they kept the sesame crusted cheese...and made it better...TRY IT!). If you went before and weren't sure on it, try it now!

Such a nice spot! Nice hand-craft shop(s), good western and african food at the restaurant, reasonable prices and nice staff! Nothing I would have expected in the outer part of Nairobi but definitely worth a visit.

Fantastic food, drinks and ambiance. Groups or single, you'll have a great time. The staff are helpful and friendly as well. Good music and feel of the place. It's definitely worth repeat visits.

The ambiance is amazing, the rustic, natural look is refreshing..the fillet was good but the fried chicken and fish was too oily
