We stopped for a mid-afternoon snack/beer and were not disappointed. The French fries were very tasty and the burger just right. The bartender spent considerable effort shaking up a whisky sour, complete with bitters and dried citrus garnish. Definitely worth the visit!

Really interesting pub in the heart of Dublin. Great vibe inside and super interesting decor. I thought this was an amazing place to hang out for a drink or three! I didn’t try the food this time around but the burgers looked impressive!

This is a lovely little bar/hardware shop. The old signs for the different beers/ales etc make the place so homely. Its a busy place, but we were lucky to get there just after it opened and got a seat, it filled up quite quickly after. The Guinness we got here was probably the best one we had in Dublin.

My favourite place to go in town for a cheap tasty meal and a pint. The food out of wowburger is always gorgeous and so reasonable (especially for students). Great atmosphere and live music. I would definitely recommend!!

Great atmosphere, reasonable prices. There’s a fast food place in the next room. We went there for Monday night trivia - super fun!

First time here definitely going to come back, my friend has been on to me for months and I should have listened. Has to be the best burger I've had yet. Double bacon burger with cheese and grilled mushrooms and pickle, like wow is right, and there's a bar here so it really worked out for me. Five stars 🤩

Yelp
I've been living in Dublin for five months now and this is my absolute favorite pub. I love the decor year-round, but especially at Christmastime, when there are lights strung up all over. There are often local artists playing in the snug upstairs area. The upstairs has a bit of an older crowd, while the downstairs is usually dominated by college-aged or young adult patrons. In addition to pouring great pints, Mary's has a Wow Burger that is a godsend on a night out. I highly recommend their garlic chips for soaking up any excess alcohol.

Yelp
Matty, the toasties, the beer! Sooooo amazing and awesome! Heading back in a week! If they were in the states, my go pub!

Yelp
The first time that I saw a hardware shop inside a pub (or maybe a beer tab inside a hardware shop) was in Dingle. In that case was after a succession of events that only few people in Dingle can tell properly. Mary´s pub follows this idea, to translate the rural pub to the city center of Dublin, and I have to say: well done! The beer is the important there but if you become hungry you can grab a Ham and Cheese sandwich with soup (don't forget that you are in a real Irish Pub ;) Good place for a pint after work or after shopping in Grafton Street, ideal to catch up with friends or event work colleagues.

Yelp
Mary's is a cute little bar just off grafton street. They only have a small number of seats but it has a good vibe. The highlight for me was they sell 'old school' sweets behind the bar, I stocked up on refresher bars will there on Saturday night!!

Yelp
If you're looking for an authentic pub experience come STRAIGHT HERE and get yourself a Murphy's or Guinness. My sister and I came here after walking around Dublin all day and we're immediately charmed by the interior - lined with a hodge podge of hardware and antiques (just like the 'old school' rural pubs). The bartender made us feel right at home, by welcoming us to his beloved city and helping me discover Murphy's Stout! I had never had one before and absolutely loved it. If I ever find myself in Dublin again, this pub will be high on my list.

Yelp
Mary's Bar is a hidden gem, and they pour a great Guinness as well. The bar is small but they make the best use of space and there is plenty of seating at tables, the bar, or along the passage way on both sides. Visited on a Tuesday night and Tony Floyd Kenna was singing and playing the guitar. He does a wonderful cover of Bowie's Heroes and my favorite of his original songs is Suzanne Vega's eyes. Just lovely. Great for hanging out with a pint or two. Highly recommend you drop in for an authentic experience.

Yelp
I had : Rising Road pale ale and a ham and cheese toastie Nice, chilled out spot for a casual night out. Felt a bit like I had wandered into a set from Father Ted (in the best possible way). There was a mixed crowd but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and there was a great buzz to the place despite the lack of music. Great place if you want to chat without having to compete with the latest selection of chart choonz. For soakage they also serve ham and cheese toasties made with proper thick chunks of ham and batch bread and served with cheese and onion crisps. Nom! Other options were chicken and bacon and tuna melts. Definitely a beer and spirits kinda place. If you're looking for an extensive wine list this is not the place for you as they only had one type of white available (Sauvignon blanc). If you want to buy a hammer and some marrow fat peas with your pint this is the spot for you!

Yelp
If you're looking for a quirky (yet friendly) bar, close to Grafton St this is it - half bar, half hardware shop, worth a look for the novelty value alone. For those looking for a break from the seasonal shopping - try the Murphy's Nollaig brew to help you feel even more Christmassy

Yelp
Love Mary's. Love the makeshift 'booths' towards the back of this vintage style bar. It smells newer, it's clean, it's interesting, and it's got a nice local draw. Thumbs up to Mary and the great idea to grab the prime real estate just across from BT!

Yelp
Wow! What a find! This is place is a treasure trove of nostalgia. A faithful recreation of the old irish general hardware/grocer/pub. The walls are packed with light bulbs and nails, they have a good selection of crafted beers. Definitely worth paying a visit!

Yelp
Cool place, a must visit to drink a pint or two after work. The location is very good because it is situated in the city centre next to Graphton Street. The atmosphere and the people working there are really nice and friendly and what is most important, they pour Guinness very well. Do not hesitate and go to this characteristic pub.

Yelp
I heard about this place about 2 days before it opened and was instantly intrigued. I got onto one of the bartenders to find out more and he told me it was a 'country pub' which made no sense to me at all as it's nestled in the environs of Grafton Street a dozen steps away from shoppers paradise I had to go in the next day to have a look and LOVED it. From the ashes of AKA, Base Bar, Wild and Madison, the phoenix has risen and it's called Mary's. At the risk of ruining the surprise, it's not called Bar and Hardware Store for nothing. It's actually based on a period general store with a bar in it. Not only based on.....it actually IS a general store with a bar in it. It's perfectly acceptable to approach the bar and ask Stephen or Christopher for a gin and tonic, pint of stout, ham and cheese toastie on batch bread, a tin of spam, marmite, a box of nails, fly papers, a macaroon bar and rat poison. This place is amazing! My advice is to have a good look around then stand at the bar and watch people's reactions as they enter. Another important thing to remember is DO NOT BRING YOUR GIRLFRIEND as directly across the street are the Brown Thomas handbag windows. Don't say you weren't warned. Check it out, I'm already a regular!

Yelp
If you can get a table at the back its a great place to sit and catch up with friends. The interior is very cute as it is like an old fashioned shop with bits and bobs behind the bar. Most of the things you can buy as well (as far as I know), they also have old school sweets. After going here a few times I'll probably consider coming here a bit more to meet friends. Staff are quick at taking orders.

Yelp
I like this place. Some good smaller brews. It is very hipster so if you don't like big beards and man buns then this is not your place. It does seem a bit fake on the grocery/hardware store effect. It is Dublin-city-centre expensive and can be crowded but is a good option close to Grafton st although one of maybe ten nearby I wouldn't object to having a pint in. A good choice for a break from Brown Thomas shopping.

Yelp
Small but fun bar slash hardware store ( if you go there you will understand lol) . Spent a couple of night there this week. Great , genuine fun staff. Highly recommend it for a laid back quiet drink. Plus you can charge your phone here too with their portable chargers.

Yelp
Great little bar, i initially thought it was a bit touristy. However after I had 1 pint or Guinness I was hooked. Thumper of a pint really surprised for a new bar. And a bit of a blast from the past. Stay on for 3 would well recommend!

Yelp
Nice old timey bar. Surprisingly large inside. Lots of seating (50/50 back support) Decent range of good quality beer and a great little bench outside to sit on when the road works clears up.
