Walked in at 5:15 on a Saturday and was seated immediately.
Got the crab claw app which is one of my favorite appetizers ever
Veal entree was well prepared, with a light frying and yummy cheese, but I should have ordered seafood which is their specialty.
The side salad was fine, lots of iceberg lettuce and a homemade vinaigrette.
Cameryn was an excellent waitress, and the rest of the front house staff was on top of their service. My water glass was never empty

Not only a historic location, but also a quaint lovely place to have lunch or dinner. Mary’s is deeply rooted in the rich historic roots of Mississippi. We were blessed to have Lucy as our server. The food was top-notch. All of the staff went out of their way to be welcoming and kind. Definitely a must see if you’re ever in Biloxi Mississippi.!!

If you're in town, you for sure need to stop in and have lunch or dinner at Mary's. So much old history here. Even if you just stop in and have a drink at the bar, you will tons things to see and learn about Mary's and the area around it.
The food is amazing, which I expected it to be. We had the crab claws and shrimp cocktail as an app. And then the Mary's chicken, fried shrimp and crab stuff shrimp and oh man we were all full and happy when done along with the amazing customer service we had every step of the way. We were too full to get dessert, but I'm sure it's good as well.
Around th area is some houses turned into businesses that are super nice to walk the court yard and enjoy the atmosphere.
I will for sure be back some time.

Update: Adding a star back for recovery service. Management followed up after reading review. Apologized for the experience and offered reimbursement.
Rating Mary Mahoney's Old French House with two stars for my New Year's Eve dinner, I must express my disappointment with the dining experience. Our meal was a letdown, as it failed to progress beyond the appetizers. This visit marked my second time at Mary Mahoney's, and the restaurant appeared to be struggling due to a past fish authenticity scandal resurfacing, as shared by our server Steve-O, a long-time employee. He claimed that the owners did not take responsibility or issue an apology for the scandal, even though one was aware of it at the time. He chalked it up to the fact that they are old money and could care less about the impact to their restaurant reputation or loss of business, including the plight of the 16 servers laid off due to business decline resulting from the news. The red snapper dish was notably tough and rubbery, while the pasta lacked sauce. A replacement dish of red fish was unappealingly fishy in taste. The asparagus, another side dish, was overcooked and shriveled. Dissatisfied with the main course, we decided to skip dessert altogether. My future dining plans will not include a return visit to Mary Mahoney's Old French House.

I come home a few times a year and wanted to try a new fine dining restaurant. The reviews were good for this place so I needed to try it for myself. I knew I probably would not see any people of color and I didn’t (not even staff unless they were in the kitchen). Everyone was very nice! First off -the gumbo had a kick to it and was good EXCEPT some of the rice was undercooked - 2nd the fried soft shell crabs were delicious (no complaints)- 3rd a small salad that was nothing to brag about - it had 3 dark leafy lettuce pieces and the rest was iceberg and taste like water (simple and okay) 4th the entree - (fish of the day) the salmon with crabmeat on top and side of angel hair pasta- the presentation looked bland but it was not that bad (tasty). On the way out I did see a picture of Ben Carson who had paid them a visit in the past along with another unknown man of color. All in all I won’t be back.

Server Alli made our lunch experience extra special. First time at the restaurant. The food quality, service exceeded all expectations. The stuffed flounder was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The shrimp and Crab Au Gratin would compete with any restaurant that I’ve dined in France. The dining setting is quiet, clean, you can enjoy a good conversation. The glass wine section is limited but nice, bottle options much larger. Can’t wait to try the dinner menu.
