During our stay in Bressay, we dined here two evenings. Both times the food and service were excellent. James and Nelly, who run this place have got a great food menu using locally sourced food. Aspen who served us was very helpful and friendly. It is worth the ferry journey from Lerwick to dine here. Only five minutes walk from the ferry.

I needed a place to stay at very short notice and being Shetland Wool week that was far from easy,|I was very lucky as there was a room available & after a short ferry ride from Lerwick and an even shorter walk from the ferry terminal I was there.|I had a lovely sea view where I could watch Gannets diving whilst also being able to judge when to walk to the terminal to catch the ferry back the next day.|The room was spacious as was the bathroom, and on a windy night I was very warm and did not have to contend with rattling windows which you often get in older properties.|I dined in, with the food being excellent going for scallops as a starter and then the seafood stew and when it arrived it was a wow moment 😁, I was very happy.|All ingredients were locally sourced and so fresh you could still taste the sea.|Owners James & Nelly were excellent hosts and I couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay . Thank you so much.

I don't think I've ever slept in a room with a more beautiful view. The room was also large and the bed super comfortable and king size. Everything was new and modern. We had both dinner and breakfast there and both were excellent. The people were so friendly and we very much enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful place. We spent great time there. Lovely localization, friendly owners, great food and splendid view on Lerwick makes the hotel truly magical. We love it.

Pleasant hotel a short walk from the ferry to Lerwick. We stayed on a Sunday and Monday night and the restaurant was closed on both evenings so didn't get the chance to try it. The room was nice, if unexceptional. Small niggles: The toilet in our room was not very clean and for £220/night I'd rather not be served instant coffee and cheap orange juice at breakfast.

Quite possibly the most unwelcoming hosts we have ever had the misfortune of encountering. We were given looks of disdain and resentment that we were even there. We had booked a table for dinner but they had not told us that some of the menu was unavailable. We took a ferry from Lerwick especially to go for dinner. No surprise that we walked out within minutes!

We only ate at the restaurant and didn’t stay in the hotel but the food was memorable! Huge servings and delicious home-made Sunday roast we couldn’t fault. Service with a smile as well.
