Fabulous beachfront open to public on Simpson Bay! Small boutique hotel which we did not stay at. We found this a comfortable place to land several times during our 9-day vacation for drinks, food, and beach lounging/swimming. Water was definitely calm and safe for swimming every day we were there. Nice beach tunes lightly play in the background… Sundays are a popular day with many locals enjoying this location. Other days were more quiet. There are also other places to enjoy that are walkable to on beach (D’s Beach Bar - another enjoyable spot). No charge for beach chairs when eating/drinking at restaurant/bar - but first come first serve! Service is very slow due to being short handed but a great place to enjoy sunny St. Martin (drinks are delicious!!🍹). Enjoy!!

We visited this beautiful beachfront Resort in 2023 and just booked to go again! Exceptional views, service and the staff were incredible. They even let me cut down my own coconut 🥥 Definitely recommend. The privacy was Top Tier! We enjoyed a couples massage right on the beach 🏝️ next to our Deluxe Studio and the food was delicious 😋 Five Stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mary’s Boon Hotel on Simpson Bay is a hidden gem, offering a charming and peaceful retreat right on the beach. While the hotel is close to the airport, making it possible to see and hear planes take off and land from 10 am to 10 pm, the experience quickly becomes part of the charm. By night, the atmosphere is serene and relaxing.||||The staff are warm, welcoming, and always eager to assist. The on-site restaurant serves delicious meals—we dined there multiple times and enjoyed a variety of dishes, including salmon with rice and peas, hamburgers with fries, quinoa avocado salad, sweet potatoes, chicken wings, and a decadent lava cake. Every meal was fresh and flavorful.||||We stayed in the garden studio, which we absolutely loved. It was peaceful, surrounded by lush gardens, and waking up to the sound of chirping birds while enjoying a morning coffee or tea was a highlight. We also experienced a newly renovated room inside the hotel, located downstairs by the office. While nice, we much preferred the garden and beachfront accommodations for their tranquil setting.||||The hotel provides beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas, making it easy to enjoy the stunning, calm waters of Simpson Bay Beach. The location is ideal—close to grocery stores, rental cars, restaurants, bars, pharmacies, bakeries, and just a 25-minute drive to the French side. There’s always something to do around the bay and town, making Mary’s Boon a fantastic choice for those looking to experience both relaxation and convenience. Highly recommended!

We stayed there a couple of nights in June 2023. Our room was clean and spacious. It was right on the beach. The staff was friendly. There were two hotel dogs and cats that patrol. They are sweet. The restaurant and bar were nice. We are at many places during our two weeks touring many islands. Mary's Boone had excellent choices and the prices were fair. If you are looking for the same vibes as you get in the states stay home. I loved the culture of these islands. I'd say all of these places work very hard restoring after each and every hurricane season. If you don't like sand, sea and the laid back culture, stay home. Rent a car to see it all. Traffic is busy but they give and take. You have to be ready for cars pulling out (taking ) you just give. I loved that Mary's Boone had a more secluded quiet beach.

If I could give this hotel zero stars, I would. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place was nothing like the photos on the website. The walls in our room were covered in mildew stains, making it impossible to feel clean or comfortable. The mattress was squeaky, lumpy, and utterly uncomfortable—definitely not conducive to a good night’s sleep. The receptionist had an apathetic, “I-don’t-care” attitude, offering no help or solutions to our concerns. Adding to the nightmare, there were bugs everywhere, stray cats somehow made their way into our room, and the shower was full of spider webs—absolutely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one in such a picturesque location. On top of that, we were charged an additional $50 just for having one more person in our group, even though this isn’t an all-inclusive resort. What exactly are we paying for outside of a basic room? There were zero amenities, zero service, and zero accountability. The WiFi they provided didn’t work, so we couldn’t even distract ourselves from the horror of our stay. This property is a complete dump, which is a shame because it’s on a stunning beach. Unfortunately, this hotel is ruining the atmosphere with its lack of care and attention to basic cleanliness and hospitality. Save yourself the stress and money—this was hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

Mary’s Boon is very hard to summarize in a review but I’ll do my best. We stayed there for three nights. When you check the place out, you would almost expect Ernest Hemingway to walk around the corner as it has true Caribbean feel to it. This is not a cookie-cutter hotel. Nor is it a four or five star hotel. The Hotel is a funky collection of different rooms. We had a huge room with a high ceiling, oversized art and furniture. There was a refrigerator, glass ware, coffee maker. There was a nice covered sitting area in both the front and the back of the room but each had a mini split A/C unit next to the chairs. The bathroom had a big closet with lots of room. The room had both a front door and a back door that walked out on the beach. Our friends had a tiny little room on the second floor. Other rooms back up to the runway of the airport and still others are in a basement. You sort of know what room you are reserving. This is one of the few places in SXM that you can walk right on to the beach. Simpson Bay is one of the most underrated beaches on the island. The service on the beach is pretty good. The restaurant food is good but I wouldn’t want to eat here for an entire week. The staff is very friendly except the bartender came off as bit brash. We were sitting in a “cabana” outside our room. The cocktail service didn’t come up to this area-which was perfectly fine with us. The bartender lectured my wife about coming into the bar for drinks! Very odd. The pool is very small and we used it once for a minute and there is an observation deck overlooking the airport. There are also bikes available to use. If you’re looking for a different experience in a funky Caribbean hotel-this place is for you. If you are looking for a place that strives for perfection you may want to consider somewhere else.

Simpson Bay is beautiful. Melvin was beyond helpful and made our stay even better. Friendly dogs and a cat add to the ambiance of this beautiful hotel. Laid back atmosphere and everything you could ask for in a Caribbean vacation.

The service, food and location are excellent… You are steps from the beach. The rooms are large, but kind of tired… If you’re looking for easy and simple this is the place.
