Mary’s Inn & Mount Shasta Retreat

So much better than the usual hotel experience. Greeted and shown around by the hostess upon arrival. Beautiful home with all the comfort and feeling of a home. Well stocked refrigerator and pantry with a full kitchen and all the utensils. Spa and sauna were great. Definitely book here again if we come back. |Ed and Cindy B.

Not to repeat the positives so many others have shared about this exceptional B&B: we agree! But we do want to express our appreciation to Mary as a splendid hostess, who knows how to make you feel welcome and at home. This gem a few blocks from downtown Mt Shasta stands out from the many other accomodations available in its coziness (only four rooms in the inn) and attention to details of comfort, as well as the sweet, well-appointed Victorian style rooms, complete with fireplace and jacuzzi, not to mention the inviting, lovely property. Hot tub and sauna add another layer of relaxing ease. Oh, yes, and the well-equipped kitchen, easy to make your own meals if you wish. She also provides organic breakfast basics, snacks and more...Highly recommended!

I have stayed in all 4 rooms at Mary’s numerous times over the last 4 years and it is always a relaxing and peaceful experience. Charming victorian home with a view of Shasta. Two kitchens to cook all your meals, or walk to downtown and enjoy the restaurants.| .|Mary has beautifully landscaped the grounds. The back patio is large, with swinging chairs, a comfy couch, fire pit, bbq, sauna, and jacuzzi. Super soft grass and the Fairy garden are the perfect complements.||I would rate Mary’s 10 stars!

Mary's Inn is a beautiful retreat complete with all the amenities to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. There is a hot tub and sauna, as well as a comfortable outdoor space for just contemplating. We especially liked the swinging chairs that face the lovely garden. Mary is a wonderful host who strives to make your stay truly memorable; she provides all of the goodies you need for a delicious breakfast, and recommendations for activities in the area. There is a kitchen for your use, as well as a bar-b-que for grilling. The Inn is within walking distance of restaurants and the downtown area.|We truly enjoyed our stay and will be back again!

An absolute gem! Best place to stay in Mount Shasta, in my opinion. I've stayed here three times and am always looking forward to coming back. It's a beautiful Inn (just to look at!), and full of uplifting and warm energy. Mary who stewards the space is an angel too- I couldn't recommend this place more highly.

Staying in this Victorian home feels like "going to Grandma's house" — where you know your body and soul will be nourished and rested. We absolutely love it here! We stayed here twice in the last couple months when passing through because we loved it so much. Mary is an exceptionally hospitable host and a wonderful, warm person, and truly our whole experience here has been wholesome and enriching. We stayed both times in the Magic Mountain Room on the first floor. It has 5 large windows that account for 2 of the 4 walls of the room — revealing a stunning view of the surrounding flora and even part of gorgeous Mount Shasta. We LOVE using the fireplace and Mary provides starter logs, meaning we get a near-immediate warm, roaring fire in the hearth! The separate bathroom is designated for our room's use only. Though the shower is small, the clean and cute bathroom fit our needs perfectly. The communal kitchen has a fully-stocked pantry and fridge for guests to use. The food selection is large, fresh, and varied, and has ready to eat foods as well as ingredients to make your own delicious breakfasts. The communal upstairs kitchen also has a great selection of foods and ingredients. The home has a classic dining room on the first floor and a cozy living room area upstairs on the second floor. It also has two outdoor patio areas that you can access from each floor. The home and property grounds are beautiful, and I have yet to find any other inn that so accurately reflects the all-pervading warmth and welcome and magic that the mountain emanates. I highly recommend spending ample time in Mary's Inn at Mount Shasta! We will be back!

My goodness! We found Marys Inn and going forward, we will always be coming here on our Mt. Shasta trips. The rooms are all beautiful, unique and very well cared for. The home itself is a beautiful old Victorian that has been lovingly restored and updated. Really, the thoughtfulness of the owners with every detail here, no matter how minute, shines through. Also the food, coffee, and tea choices are unparalleled—many unique & organic items that cater to a variety of tastes. This place is truly a gem and there is nothing in the area at this price point that compares.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Mary’s Inn Mount Shasta. I can’t imagine having stayed any other place. The setting is magical and really gave me a full experience of being in Mount Shasta. The house itself has tons of incredibly good character. Mary is also a joy to be around and takes extremely good care of the property and guests. I will definitely stay again when I return!
