Mary’s Inn & Mount Shasta Retreat

Mary’s Inn in Mount Shasta is a truly special place. Mary, the owner, was incredibly kind, welcoming, and supportive, and the space is beautiful, peaceful, and very well stocked. From the moment I arrived, I could feel the high-vibration, healing energy throughout the property. Mary works with multiple healing modalities, and I was honored to offer a sound bath in her private healing sanctuary during my stay. The space was perfect for sound and ceremony, and I even recorded a YouTube video there because the energy and setting were so special. This is more than just a place to stay—it’s a true healing retreat. I’m deeply grateful for my experience and highly recommend Mary’s Inn to anyone visiting Mount Shasta

Mary's Inn is a very special little slice of heaven. We were on a hiking vacation, and it was the perfect location for a relaxing, comforting, cozy, home-away-from-home base camp. We stayed in the cute little Twin Peaks room, which was perfect for our stay. The room didn’t have a fireplace or TV, but that wasn’t an issue since we spent most of our time hiking around Mount Shasta, and the September weather was warm and beautiful. There’s a great view of Mount Shasta from the bed, and the slanted window makes it easy to enjoy the night sky before drifting off to sleep. I can't adequately describe how beautiful and serene the grounds are...pretty landscaping, gorgeous butterflies, sassy blue birds, and sweet roaming deer. I think it's also a perfect space for any sort of spiritual or self discovery type of retreat. Mary is a very sweet and gracious host and allows guests to have their own unique experience.

Mary has created a magical environment in a beautiful house. My friend and I stayed here in January of 2025. It was absolutely perfect. We had the two rooms on the top floor. Mine had a fireplace and it helped further enhance the cozy atmosphere. |The breakfast options were delicious and I so appreciated the thoughtful array of ingredients available to us to make exactly what we were craving. |Often in the afternoon, Mary would be baking a yummy gluten free treat for us to enjoy. |There are so many magical touches throughout the place and it is an easy walk to all that town has to offer!

We were warmly greeted by Mary, who showed us around her beautiful property and provided hints of things to do there and nearby. The home is immaculate, with personal touches throughout, and our bed was as comfortable as you can get. The grounds are so peaceful and inviting and it was a gift to sit on the patio and watch the sun set on Mt. Shasta. We are sorry that we had to leave because you could make this home base for several days if you have the chance. Thanks to Mary for making a place of healing and warmth for all her guests. We hope to return.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The bed and rooms were very comfortable. My only suggestion would be to eliminate the community breakfast for kitchen. With a full house there would be too many hands. Offer a continental breakfast, make up ahead of time

Not to repeat the positives so many others have shared about this exceptional B&B: we agree! But we do want to express our appreciation to Mary as a splendid hostess, who knows how to make you feel welcome and at home. This gem a few blocks from downtown Mt Shasta stands out from the many other accomodations available in its coziness (only four rooms in the inn) and attention to details of comfort, as well as the sweet, well-appointed Victorian style rooms, complete with fireplace and jacuzzi, not to mention the inviting, lovely property. Hot tub and sauna add another layer of relaxing ease. Oh, yes, and the well-equipped kitchen, easy to make your own meals if you wish. She also provides organic breakfast basics, snacks and more...Highly recommended!

Mary is an amazing host, and the B and B is wonderful. We spent a very relaxing 3 nights in August 2025. Beautifully landscaped grounds surrounded by the spacious deck. Hot tub and sauna. Just 4 rooms- 2 up and two on first level. Visitors have access to main kitchen and to a smaller cooking and dining area upstairs. Beds are very comfortable. Mary can provide excellent info on nearby sites and activities. Walk to downtown crystal shops and restaurants.

I have stayed in all 4 rooms at Mary’s numerous times over the last 4 years and it is always a relaxing and peaceful experience. Charming victorian home with a view of Shasta. Two kitchens to cook all your meals, or walk to downtown and enjoy the restaurants.| .|Mary has beautifully landscaped the grounds. The back patio is large, with swinging chairs, a comfy couch, fire pit, bbq, sauna, and jacuzzi. Super soft grass and the Fairy garden are the perfect complements.||I would rate Mary’s 10 stars!
