Mas Carreras 1846 Slowfarmhouse

A perfect spot close to Girona city in Catalonia to hold exclusive private events with a touch of rural charm without losing any detail for a good rest in an incredible cozy atmosphere in which Mar & Gonzalo does not skimp on every detail of hospitality, kindness and attention. Without a doubt a fantastic place!

During a raod trip through catalonia we stopped at Mas Carreras. Not having pre-booked any room we arrived in the afternoon. The reception was not occupied but the property owner was present and friendly to give us a tour arround the hotel and the rooms. Normally a min. stay of 3 night applies in high season but we were offered a room for a night. The hotel opened last year and still a few "construction " is going on. But we were not disturbed by any of that. The rooms are spacious and clean. The pool is small but really nice. The garden is huge and very calm. The surrounding area is a bit odd since Célra seems to be a industrial area and Mas Carreras is tucked away in between but also here we experienced no problems at all. Breakfast was fresh and expanded. Local produce and very friendly service. Strong and very good coffee! If ever again in the area we would consider staying here again! Gracias

On our way back home from south of Spain, we booked Mas Carreras. The renovated farmhouse is lovely and the rooms well done. Well equiped with good bathroom, airco and TV. The garden and pool are just perfect. You can see the love and attention put into the care of the trees and flowers. The pool is lightly salty but lovely refreshing. We enjoyed a few hours on the sunbeds. Although Mas Carreras offers dinner, we were so close to Girona with all its great restaurants, so we did not opt for that. The breakfast was great however, so I can imagine how the dinner can be. Great place. We’ll be back there. Highly recommended!!

I booked this hotel on booking.com and arrived at the property at night so it was dark already while driving I was asking myself: where the hell am I? (It was also raining)||And well.... after arriving at the hotel I found out that I was in Heaven!||This place is marvellous!||The lady at the reception was really super super nice and before taking us to our room she gave us a tour of the facility. Ah, and she upgraded us to a higher category, so, thank you! The room was beautiful, rustic chic, comfortable, quiet, we loved every aspect of it. In the morning we had breakfast and it was really good. Lots of nice things and nice atmosphere. Unfortunatly it was raining the next day as well but we had a walk outside anyway, and the garden is spectacular. I am sure in the spring or summer it must be wonderful. ||The lady at the reception also helped us to find a nice restaurant for dinner (which turned out to be super good!)||If in the area I will for sure go back to this beautiful hotel!||Great job!

We spent 4 days in this hotel in August. The house itself is beautiful...well decorated, clean and with attentions to detail. Very good breakfast with quality products and very friendly staff..particularly Suzana. The room assigned to us defintely too small and overpriced for what was offering. No wardrobe, tiny toilet with nowhere to put anything..but maybe was just our room (called Moments). As well they say wifi but there was absioutely no signal in the room and for such a high rate hotel is a big minus.

Mas Carreras is an old farmhouse converted into a luxurious boutique hotel. it is situated in farmland not too far from Girona. The hotel and grounds have been done up to a very high standard with enormous, comfortable rooms and large public spaces. But the most impressive thing is the staff. Azar and Susanna, who looked after us, were brilliant - nothing was too much for them, including a late night snack after we came in from a concert at about 11.30pm! Always smiling and so helpful. Also worth a mention is the lovely breakfast either in the bright and spacious dining room or out on the terrace. it is a shame we were not able to take dinnerthere one night (you have to book in advance) - it looked magnificent with a range of local Catalan dishes.

Hello, first I don't know where to start. The welcome was great and even if we asked an easy check in they agreed. Laura was a fantastic guide for us and she did a lot of things for us. (and a fantastic omlette :). Even the room they updated which was great. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable and the services were great. The breakfast not rich but very tasty and with quality products. The hole area, terrace, garden, swimming pool, lake, flowers and lounge was well maintained by Cătălin who also was a help for us and we were delighted to know him. So, finally: great services, good prices, well located and relaxing. Thank you!

Just driving through the area, we found this on hotels.com. Off the main road about 15-20 minutes from Girona. Lovely renovated old farmhouse, now an upscale hotel. Since it was coming up to New Year's, no restaurants in the vicinity were open, but driving to Girona was ok. Breakfast was excellent with lovely fresh bread, fruit, cereal, cheese & ham! Located in a really nice area close to the Costa Brava. Very nice lady at the front desk, too!
