This little guest house is perfect in every way! Beautiful grounds, stunning property, large and well designed rooms and everything is wonderfully decorated. The team was very nice and helpful and everyone went above and beyond to make our stay nice and memorable. Word of caution - google maps sends you to a field round the corner from the actual hotel. Don’t despair - it’s very near - just look for the sign to it.

The place is beautiful. It has a nice pool set in the beautiful garden. The rooms are specious and nicely decorated. The communal areas are stunning. So as for the design/setting I'd give this place 5 stars. However when it comes to staff, that's completely different story. It's hard to describe it but it feels like they don't like to have guests in their house. Very cold. Make sure you "disturb" them as little as possible. Wifi works only in the communal areas and some rooms. I think the owners need to change their attitude especially when guests pay 160-200eur/night for their stay!

Last November we have been to a big tour of southern Europe with my family. I've planned this trip, not only to see all these wonderful places but especially to viit this hotel, I've seen in a magazine and in the internet (---).|Though it was very difficult to reach it because we arrived late in the night, we were all very happy to be there. Wonderful old mas with extremely tasteful interiors and very gentle owners. We stayed only 2 days but I reccoment this to everybody that travels in the area.|Very intresting books and magazines-even inside the rooms-breakfast was served in a lovely dining room. We felt like home and there are no words to describe how much we liked it. We definetely go back in our next trip to France.|Maria,Greece

This place has a lot going for it, the location, the historic building, the interior design. Yet, when you meet the owner who just couldn’t care less, you want to leave on the spot. Since he never told me about the code of the front door I found myself locked out on a freezing night. On the first morning the place was teeming with people shooting a commercial which had not been mentioned before either. The erratic communication with Madame beforehand should have been a warning sign. I don’t understand why people like this venture into hospitality. As to the bathroom, it needs needs a serious update as die a functioning radiator. Never again.||

Indeed, Mas des Songes is an exquisite maison d’hôte, very stylish, but there is no warm hospitality. The owners avoid you. We felt we were bothering them. Elisabeth, the person in charge of the "business" is nice, but not always there. |Moreover, the relation between quality and price is not good, since there is no service. You have to put the dishes you use for breakfast in the dishwasher yourself.||

We have just had our wedding at this lovely location. All the bridesmaids and groomsmen stayed at the venue for 3 days during the occasion. It felt like we were staying in our own house. Served on hand and foot we couldn't have asked for more. Breakfasts served outside each morning. Margot who runs the place is a real pro sorting anything and everything out and always with a smile. Hats off to all the team as I know we weren't the easiest of guests to please. Wedding a huge success. Thanks.

We booked this based on an article in a magazine... on the internet the rooms & location looked very tempting. Well, the warning signs were there ! First the "exquisite but cold" review on this site, then the fact that the owner did not call back after I had left a message on the answerphone for 2 days and last but not least the unprofessional way the reservation was handled. ||After having stayed for 5 nights at a truly exquisite place in the Languedoc Roussillion we were looking forward to another week in Provence. What a disappointment we had to come: there was nobody at reception...the lady (not the owner) that finally did show us the room was unkempt . She showed us around a dirty commual minikitchen and explained that breakfast was a "helpyourself" affair. She also made it very clear that the "table d'hote" that was offered with our reservation and we had booked was not going to happen - because it was Saturday and she was not going to work on Saturday and by the way she had not been informed. Also, it was really too much expected as she had to cook all next week because they had a wedding on the 2 weeks from now. ||Anyway...up to the room. The pictures on the internet definately don't reflect reality. Don't get us wrong - they are not bad but they are definately not luxurius. No shower, the wash basin is ill fitting into the washstand and has no plug. All furniture, painting, floor have scuff marks. The rooms are not looked after. ||So to breakfast the next morning: oh yes, a helpyourself affair. If you weren't first (and we weren't as it was Sunday) we were expected to clear up the dirty dishes of the guests that already had breakfast if we wanted to sit at the table. A different but not our definition of helpyourself at a "luxury" bed and breakfast. ||All in all we stayed 3 nights...the only way we could bare it was by having long drives into the Provence country side and enjoy ourselves during the day. On the eve of our last night we came back to our dirty towels being hung up and no fresh towels in sight... even though we were the only guests left on site! Lazy, inattentive, terrible.||Oh - in case you were wondering where we went for dinner on the evening of our arrival when we should have had a table d'hote. We found a charming little restaurant in Carpentras "La Ciboulette". If ever you happen to be in Carpentras - it comes highly recommended!
