Mas el Mir

This place is truly a hidden gem. Eva goes above and beyond for all her guest and makes you feel welcomed and does everything to make your stay unique. The property is truly magical and the rooms are cozy and clean. We learned so much about the regional cuisine. Eva only brings in the finest local ingredients and even spoke to the farmers and helped us get products to bring home! Everyday she helped us however we needed and we’ve never received this level of love and care. This is going to be a place we will continue to come back to because it’s that special.

Amazing stay at this place. Very wonderful and cozy different from other places. What makes the place even more special is the people that work there. Along with that the food was also a 10/10. Will for sure come back here again !!!

Mas el Mir is a beautiful old building brought wonderfully back to life by its remarkable owner, Eva. The setting is stunning, up a country lane until you can go no further and you are immersed in the peace and nature of its setting. The rooms are beautifully designed and have everything you could need. And better still, Eva is also a chef and restauranter so the food is fabulous (large portions too!). It is not like a hotel, everything is personal and warm. It is like being a very welcome guest in Eva’s home.

We had an amazing 5-star experience at Mas El Mir! The place is beautifully decorated with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Both breakfast and dinner were perfect, featuring high-quality local ingredients and incredible flavors. It’s also pet-friendly, and the owner puts great care into every detail. We’re definitely coming back!

Wonderfully preserved historic architecture, lots of attention to detail, very friendly owners and their dogs and cats, very comfortable and clean, a great experience all around! The rooms are spacious, the food was excellent! A lot of local produce as well as locally made products for sale. Eco friendly property, beautiful surroundings, very relaxing atmosphere. You won't be disappointed!

we had the most perfect experience at Mas el Mir! We could have stayed here foreverrrr. This is the kind of place that is beautiful at every season. When we went last weekend, weather was rainy and foggy which enhanced the magical, natural and quiet side of this place. Eva took care of us in the best possible way with delicious cuisine, nice talks and even a little gift for my birthday (so cute). We became best friend with the dogs and cats. It was like living in White Snow’s house. I have this image of me chilling on the couch, petting a sleepy cat, in the corner of the crackling fireplace, nice music playing in the background and hearing Eva cooking in the kitchen: per-fect.

This is not an easy one to place. Top-end mainly and with more than a hint of “wow”, but with some edges that are not smooth (and some may say, that it is better for that). Maybe fits into the shabby-chic bracker.||||5 minutes up a winding, and at times steep, single tracked road, is this large converted stone farmhouse, where you will be greeted by Eva – the charming, helpful, owner manager – if you can find the entrance. You may also get barked at by Trinny who in fact is a warm and friendly dog. ||||The location is green, rural, tranquil. The house has just five rooms and a small semi-detached guest house, and most of the time there are no staff present – there is an honesty bar and most other things you need to look after yourself, though Eva lives in part of the house and is available if needed., though occasionally hard to track down |||| Care and attention has been paid to the tasteful and calm décor, everything is unique, vintage and antique (from furniture through to taps, with wide aged floorboards and beams), though with modern standards so that all works well and there is high quality fresh linen and towels. There are no TVs or radios in the rooms (though there is a TV room with large flat screen TV and DVDs). The pool is pretty, in a spectacular spot, but a bit too short for length swimming. |||| I would strongly recommend dining here more than once. The cuisine is special. There is no choice of menu (though Eva will cater to food preferences). We had four course meals on three nights – each different, beautifully prepared, in local style but with innovation. The breakfasts buffets had a wide healthy and local selection.||||There are too many unique things about this place to do it justice - go and enjoy the pleasant surprises, but possibly not one for those with OCD!

Eva is an incredible hostess with a beautiful Catalan farmhouse that is expertly decorated and cared for. The attention to detail is better than I've seen in any other place we have stayed and somehow captured luxury with comfort and casual vibes. Our dog Edie was in heaven as well with the great hiking nearby and the furry friends she made at Mas El Mir. We can't wait to return!
