Tried to eat at Ibiza upstairs but they were not open even though Google said they were, and we wandered back downstairs to MAS Y Tapas and I’m so happy we did! Everything was superb blown away by the artichoke tapas, the salmon Rustico and the ribeye. We also got the bread platter which was great but we definitely over ordered. We weren’t sure if we should order several tapas or get the larger dishes. Although the tapas were great and there were several more we wanted to try I’m glad we opted for the salmon and ribeye as they were perfect! We also took the bread pudding and lava cake home. Cocktails were great… the hotel lobby is beautiful. There were separate lounge areas in the lobby it appears you can order tapas and drinks to but I’m not sure how you book these. Service was good as well.

Google
Amazing ambiance and costumer service. If you fan of authentic place to have some nice cocktails and foods this is your place. Food and cocktails are good but not exceptional. I can tell their bone in ribeye steak was so good . I give them 4⭐️ and will go there more.

We had the paella and empanadas at Mas. It is hard to find paella in Albuquerque let alone good paella. Mas was good but nothing crazy to go out of your way for unless you really want descent paella. Empanadas were delicious and I’d definitely want to try more of their other tapas!

Google
WOW WOW WOW! What an amazing dinner!! The wait staff was so informative, the drinks were on point and the food is phenomenal. The Chef took time to grab a picture with us and made us feel right at home. The waiter answered every and any question we had made some great recommendations!! The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was relaxing. Thanks for a great time!

Google
Overall, everything was good, but definitely was expecting more - however that could have been because we dined in for breakfast and not actual tapas. The hotel (Hotel Andaluz Albuquerque, Curio Collection by Hilton) has a stunning lobby, that’s definitely a given. Breakfast was alright for the price and experience, but luckily was filling and still good. We had the Lemon Ricotta pancakes and the New Yorker with sausage. There was definitely a difference in plating appeal that I was expecting in comparing the two together. Would want to go back for some actual tapas and drinks, but only had time in the morning during our stay. Wait staff seemed to be newer, which is totally understandable now a days, but would have wanted a little more attentiveness for our table and other remaining plates on other tables since there weren’t that many customers for the Sunday morning brunch timeframe.

Sat down to a very nice meal this evening with a good friend. Our server was the absolute bomb! He was humble, and very attentive. The food was also bomb! But we had to have the server kind of explained the menu a bit to us as it was super fancy lol as far as the place goes, it's a decent place but I feel needs a little updating. But I was informed by the waiter, that they would be closing in a few months anyway...

Google
We were quickly seated and the chef gave us complimentary snacks before we began eating. The portions were really big and definitely worth the money despite the restaurant already being inexpensive! Our waiter, Rudy, was super welcoming and friendly, it helped the overall experience! It was super nice that we got to eat despite it being after hours and the service being so wonderful! Overall great place to dine at!

Google
We tried this restaurant after reading reviews on TripAdvisor. It did not disappoint. We would definitely recommend and definitely return. The service and the food were top notch. We tried the brussel sprouts, Spanish bruschetta, green chile and corn risotto, and patatas brava. All were delicious. Our favorites were the risotto and bruschetta.

Yelp
This restaurant has a really nice ambiance with a bar along side it. The decor is nice and southwest modern. The staff is friendly and attentive. I found the food very delicious. I've eaten here twice now. The Traditional Paella is the best dish in my opinion. It comes with shrimp, mussels, chorizo and chicken. The Scallop Risotto is also amazing! Please see the photos. The salmon is a winner too. I recommend the Brussel sprouts over the asparagus. It's more tasty and the quantity is better. I also recommend the Ensalada de Espana salad over the wedge salad. The wedge is small with only 1/4 of the iceberg head. The only negatives I see are the prices are high - $38 etc. Two entrees with two salads was over $100. Also the menu is limited. They could add another page to the menu in my opinion. A really cute outdoor patio bar is above the restaurant on the second floor! You can access it from the stairs in the restaurant. I'll probably try it a third time before I leave town so the prices did not bother me too much.

Yelp
The environment here is pleasant and enjoyable, though I felt the food was alright. Particularly the crispy potatoes, they were flavorless and bland. The mezze platter was probably the best, with warm pita and different spread options. And unfortunately our tres leches was dry and the cake texture wasn't good. Service was great and we enjoyed our time, but the food doesn't really draw me back.

Macoisinha M.

Yelp
The food was pretty good and so were the drinks. Brussels sprouts was flavorful and crispy, mezeh platter was nice, but my favorite was the tres leches cake The place is spacious and simple but nice Service was really good and efficient Food came quickly.

Liz F.

Yelp
Delicious food! Small plates and large plates. I had the vegetable paella. Our table was very happy with their meals.

Jessica H.

Yelp
Loved the ambiance! We sat in one of the lounge-type areas that you can close the curtains on if you want a bit of privacy. You can still be heard, though. We heard the guests in the area next to us on talking the whole time. I also Loved the Bacon Wrapped Dates! The Iberian Black Pig Secreto, served atop perfectly grilled bread, and the Iceberg Wedge Salad were wonderful. My partner enjoyed his dishes, too. Service was friendly, quick and consistent. Definitely a 5 star experience.

Linda M.

Yelp
Not really closed. You can eat in the hotel. The restaurant is under going renovations but we had a fabulous meal there tonight. We had a caesar salad, empanadas, meatballs and the dessert. All were fantastic!!!

JJ S.

Yelp
Ordered the tapas platter and the ribeye for dinner. Service was slow even though plenty staff available. The atmosphere was pleasant and easy going. The ribeye was ordered medium rare and was cooked correctly the issue was trying to cut through the crazy amount of gristle. This was surprising due to the fact the cut wasn't very thick at all. It just wasn't edible and ruined my dinner experience. I didn't have a choice but to return the steak. I'm surprised that that particular cut of meat didn't get returned to vendor instead of being served to a guest. The tapas platter was good as tapas platters go though some of the cuts of meat were too chewy due to being cut with the grain.

Yelp
I was planning on some New Mexican cuisine when I got into town then I noticed MAS was inside my hotel. After being on the road all day I was wanting a nice dinner and that's exactly what I got! I started off with the Ensalada de Espana which was probably one of the best salads I have had recently! For my main, I went with the healthy option, the Crispy Salmon. It was cooked to perfection and the skin was just that, CRISPY! My kryptonite is dessert and told myself that I wasn't going to order anything... But when the waiter said they had Tres Leche, it was game over... Let's just say it was worth feeling guilty for the rest of the evening! Don't let 3.5 stars keep you from giving this spot a chance! And the hotel is amazing also! I will definitely be staying/eating here again when I'm back in town!

Danace Y.

Yelp
This is definitely one of my top 5's in Albuquerque: 1. They redid their menu and made it smaller but it doesn't mean it's limited. Sometimes too many choices can give a choice fatigue and make me feel as if I'm missing a dish. The menu offerings can be tailored for people with specific diets (vegetarian/vegan) 2. Quality and quantity are ridiculously superb. Most tapas places offers mini tapas hence the name but Mas Tapas Y Vino is tapas for Americans. Great flavors, shareable plates for groups and even just for couples or even for one. 3. Location offers tables for small and big groups. If you forgot to make a reservation or just want to stay for a short time, the bar is mostly open for drinks but also offers food. 4. Service is always impeccable among the more than 5 times I have frequented the establishment. I have brought friends and family to not only recommend but ensure that this local spot stays for a very very long time.

Todd R.

Yelp
This place is a great find. The food and atmosphere are great. When you arrive you are greeted and if you have a reservation they do what is needed to make it happen in time Inside is actually a excellent location to meet up with friends. The food menu is amazing, chicken, steak, fish, shrimp, you name it, it is all there. Appetizers have shrimp, fried oysters, and more. The ribeye is amazing. Dessert is amazing

Jane C.

Yelp
Certain aspects were lovely and others were just okay for the price. I got a lavender French 75 which lacked on the lavender. For tapas I got the shrimp and chorizo dish. The broth was lovely and the shrimp was cooked well but it was lacking in something I can't pin point. Since it left something to be desired, I opted to receive a second order. I chose the duck empanadas. Fabulously crispy and filled. Again something was missing that I can't put my finger on. This all would have been 4 stars but the service was very bland. Maybe a bad day. It seems their menu rotates so I would be happy to try again.

Hannah S.

Yelp
Sat down in a mostly empty restaurant--around 3 other tables. Order the Mezze Platter and 2 salads. The mezze platter came out soon and was underwhelming--the roasted eggplant is really a baba ganoush. It took 45 minutes for our salads to come out. The wedge salad was literally only a block of iceberg lettuce, with two slices of onion, 2 cherry tomatoes, and a tiny boiled egg crumble. There was barely cheese on it or dressing as well. Not worth the 45 minute wait and certainly not worth the money! Overpriced restaurant. Not worth it.

Britney C.

Yelp
First time to MAS and was skeptical about trying it out now based off the recent Yelp reviews. I will say Covid had something to do with it as well as the absence of executive chef Marc competing on Hells Kitchen. The service, ambience, and food options are all very well done. Rudy was our server and he was great! My wife and I ordered the bread plate, iceberg wedge salad, manchengo Mac & cheese, crispy Brussels sprouts, wild boar ribs, seared scallops with lavender corn risotto, and the fruity pebbles dessert. Some items are pretty pricey compared to other places (not just in New Mexico), especially based off how some of their servings are either really generous to not so generous. I thought the scallops would have 4 pieces instead of 2 small scallops for $22. The same goes for the wild boar ribs. The mac & cheese and Brussels sprouts were generous portions. Our favorites were the mac & cheese, Brussels sprouts, and the scallops. Everything had lots of flavor and brought out in a timely order. I would definitely return and try other items on the menu. Again, the service was great!

Ezra L.

Yelp
don't waste your time. the're closed. Done Fini. Cerrado. Ignore the fancy website which still tak reservations.

Olivia P.

Yelp
Service was great. Started out with bacon wrapped dates, carne adovada egg rolls and Brussels sprouts (all 5 stars). Ordered the Shrimp and chorizo last (still hungry) they tasted fine, however the shrimp to bread ratio of 5/3 was much too high. Would really like to see that number get closer to 1. Overall 8 out of 10 in quality but in quantity was lacking for the price. However drinks were amazing!

Mark B.

Yelp
This place delivered on the flavors. Ordered two appetizers of Manchego cheese and shrimp. Both were really good. Tried their tres leches cake. Truly amazing. Customer service was slightly above and beyond. Will certainly return for other items.

Sean P.

Yelp
During our stay at Hotel Andaluz, we had dinner at this restaurant. We made reservations through OpenTable and were sat right away. There seemed to be plenty of public parking nearby, but we valeted at the hotel. Our server was attentive and our food came out quick and hot. We had the patatas bravas, crispy Brussels sprouts, garlic shrimp, ham & eggs, and Mac & cheese. We enjoyed everything, but the portions were pretty large for two people. Definitely a weird complaint, but there was SO MUCH food

James M.

Yelp
The feeling of going into a restaurant like MAS is immediate upper class . The settings and decor are beautiful. This restaurant is nestled in the Curio Hilton which is a historical building in downtown Albuquerque. The menu is not over priced and they are very accommodating to dietary restrictions. I enjoyed the cheese burger with bacon. I love the fact that you get it cooked exactly the way you want. The favors were spot on and the level of sound was perfect. I had several phone calls that came in and I had no problems hearing them and they had no problems hearing me. Great place for a power lunch.

Melissa M.

Yelp
What can I say? From making our reservation over the phone through the end of our meal service, every aspect our dining experience was beyond our expectations!

Heidi A.

Yelp
This place is located in downtown, inside of Hotel Andaluz, very pretty aesthetically pleasing hotel. The restaurant is a casual enough but still fancy place! The server was a very nice, friendly young man. He said he was fairly new but he did a great job serving our big birthday table! I'm not much of a drinker so he suggested mocktail and asked me what kind of flavors I was looking for and made me a custom mocktail! That was very nice of him and it was great! For meal, I ordered the diver scallops and the sticky pork ribs. They were both oh so yummy!!! I was surprised how big the pork ribs portion was. Love to come again 100 percent!

Allura L.

Yelp
Ever since Chef Marc Quinones left the quality of the food is horrendous. The paella we ordered was horrible and basically tasted like flavorless rice with tomato sauce. Don't waste your time here.

Travis F.

Yelp
Skip the Tapas. The appetizers are very underwhelming. I ordered apps. as my entree and was very disappointed by them. The chicken entree was really good. It was cooked very well and the rice is delicious. Pretty pricy.

Glenn C.

Yelp
The restaurant is in a Hilton owned property. We booked on opentable. You can order tapas or meals. We got the scallops, shrimp and empanadas from the tapas side of the menu and split a lobster caesar salad. Lobster was fried. They each had a special sauce. Got 5 shrimps and only 2 scallops. All very enjoyable. Empanadas had chicken and a tomato paste sauce. For dessert we had the bread pudding. That was a bust. Too dry needed more sauce. We didnt bother finishing it. Service was excellent but too good. Food came out all at once.

Kevin P.

Yelp
Can I speak with the manager? You have a great staff, wonderful location, excellent food, but your staff is stretched way too thin. You have the outside open, the regular part of the restaurant, upstairs, tables around the bar, the area where the entrance is AND the lobby area. How your waitstaff does it I don't know. Close off one or two areas and you'd be set. I'm guessing the hotel won't let you. Okay, with that said we had a great time. Started wonky because valet was full because of a party upstairs. Took a bit for our wait staff and had to signal. After that smooth sailing as we had all tapas. Had the two bourbon cocktails that were both on point. The Brussels Sprouts and sauce were tasty but shouldn't have been fried. The Asparagus had a nice kick with mushrooms, zucchini and spicy. The shrimp and sausage was a favorite. The Octopus Bolognese had one piece of Octopus but was really tasty with pasta and spaghetti sauce. Last two were our favorites, Iberia pig secreto and the bacon wrapped dates with a goat cheese dip. Our server was working her ass off and was still friendly. It did take a tad longer between orders so order when they bring something. Overall a good experience as were were here for just barely 48 hours.

Colette C.

Yelp
We ate here because we stayed at the hotel (which was charming). We were a little concerned about the lower rating, but honestly, the food and dining experience were amazing. My husband had the salmon, which was delicious and I had a special white fish, which was cooked to perfection. The chosen spices complimented the flavors of the fish and vegetables. We had a wedge salad with an interesting and flavorful dressing. Our cocktail was called a tribeca and was a nice start to the meal. The service was terrific, and the background jazz made the place a romantic setting for a wonderful late evening meal after a long day of driving.

Edward G.

Yelp
So I could give you a good review. The food we ordered was average at besthe wine we ordered was a cab that they served in small glasses, which is not the way supposed to serve it, and it was also cold, not room temperature. The other thing is that the food the Tapas were. Not that many choices, and we tried the date wrapped with bacon. And we tried the muscles. They were both Is sub par. My grandkids were gracious. What's there? Critique on their food. Which is more important to me than mine. We did have to check send back my wife's chicken dish.It was dry. Sorry.I wish I could have proved given you a better review as I think downtown businesses need help. But maybe this review gets somebody to take a look.Increase the top was available and maybe put some kind of Sampler platter together.

Warren D.

Yelp
We dined here multiple times during our stay at the Hotel Andaluz and had overall decent food and service though service varied wildly from meal to meal. So if your first server isn't attentive, try again tomorrow! The first time we were there I had the lemon ricotta pancakes, though they weren't entirely all three. The dish was definitely pancakes, but there wasn't really any lemon to speak of in the entire dish and the ricotta wasn't discovered until I was about 75% of the way through it. Pistachios are added as a garnish, but they really do nothing for the overall dish--for me, anyway. Others in the party had the breakfast burrito and had good things to say about them. You could definitely do worse as far as hotel breakfasts go!

G I.

Yelp
Great food - had the papas brava, chorizo-prawns, Brussels sprouts, honey bacon-dates and the paella. Fantastic. We each had a cocktail too - the side car is excellent. Definitely coming back!

Lisa H.

Yelp
I am not normally one to fan girl over restaurants inside hotels; but here I am. Loved loved every we got I do not like scallops but tried this because they are special diver obtain scallops in a cashmere lavender sauce Yes yes yes amazing on my taste buds palette This place is perfect for any special occasion and a date you want to impress. They validate valet parking. But tip tip those valet guys they were fun and awesome

Cheryl W.

Yelp
Had breakfast here on 2/18 and it was amazingly delicious! Ordered the French toast and it was by far the best I have ever had!

Stephen W.

Yelp
We wanted to find something a little different, and expected a simple Tapas spot with wine. Boy did we not call this! What a pleasant surprise- a terrifically creative offering of small and large plates. A palate cleansing appetizer had me writing down the ingredients it was so delicious (marinated mushroom on lime pickled cucumber slices). We had vegetarians with us and some wanted seafood or beef. Every person raved about the tastes tonight. I do not appreciate hyperbole in reviews but I am struggling to say anything but great things. The manager and chef chatted with us, servers were very knowledgeable and honest (if you know what I mean). The bill seemed too low. Coming from the east coast, we would have paid about 40% more for our meal where we live. A real bargain. On top of everything else, wine selection was very respectable and the single glass offerings better than expected. I tried the local red blend (I love a good Cabernet franc) and honestly I would buy this New Mexican wine if I could. The really unexpected part was the very lovely hotel space Mas is in. Have a look at the end of the hall at the beautiful 'library room' for guests.

Veronique C.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere and great service, although the kitchen seemed a little backed up when we went for dinner. Cocktails and food were good. There is a small selection of tapas but also a more traditional menu. We started with the Shishito peppers, then had the corn risotto and the Gambas with chorizo, all were tasty! We skipped dessert, only two on the menu and none was tempting. We had a pleasant experience!

Zahariel L.

Yelp
Amazing service. The staff are friendly and on their game! The drinks are *fantastic*! The hotel and restaurant are absolutely *gorgeous*! You can even order your food and drinks and have them in the little alcoves by the fountain, or the library on the other end of the main lobby area. My partner and I elected to eat in the restaurants, then get drinks at the bar and take them to the library to admire the history of the hotel and the nice collection of art books in the library itself. It was so pleasant and quiet in there! The only thing, the *only* thing, we both felt just missed the mark... was the food. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad. It was just... meh? Even the scallops, which were good, but certainly could have done without the bacon. All in all though, lovely spot. We will be returning, if only for some excellent cocktails and wine in the library.

M O.

Yelp
Menu is too limited and too pricey for the products served. Everything we had was hohum, Risotto was pasty, asparagus was covered in unchewable bacon bits, and the bread pudding was a dry sticky brick.

Sierra M.

Yelp
Seriously blown away... visiting my Mom in Albuquerque, we went back and forth trying to pick a good restaurant downtown. We finally settled on the one upstairs which said it opened at 5. At 4:58 it was pitch black with no sign of life and we assumed Google was wrong and we wandered back downstairs to MAS tapas Y Vino. Omg... everything was divine! We wanted to try everything and definitely over ordered but I homes want to go back to try more already! We got the bread platter... it had a tomato jam and some green chile hummus. Then the artichoke tapas that were over a tostada with some sort of creaminess and more tomato jam/arugula. Then the Salmon Rustico, which came with calabacitas, asparagus and roasted fingerling potatoes and my mom got the ribeye that had a chile Demi glace and loads of mashed potatoes. We almost couldn't decide if we should get a bunch of tapas in lieu of the larger plates but they did not disappoint and were worth it. Cocktails were good too! Spicy Paloma, some sort of berry/mint bourbon and I also got a lavender French 75. Don't remember our servers name but she was attentive. We also took the bread pudding and lava cake to go! Also this is located inside the Andaluza hotel which has beautiful artwork, the lobby is fun to explore and they have these little seating areas that are all decorated differently, on our way out we saw people enjoying tapas from the restaurant inside... I'm not sure how you reserve one of these private areas but sounds fun for next time! So much more to try in the menu I hope to come back when I'm visiting next!

Yelp
For date night We were very excited to go here. With my fiancé being a chef we both have a good taste for the culinary world. We made reservations a day ahead, arrived and were seated promptly. I envisioned this being a much bigger place but it only seats about ten tables and has a bar. We ordered some drinks and I was excited to try some sangria. Which states they had red, white, pink, or sparkling with fresh fruit. I ordered pink first which came out with wine, oj, and 1 orange slice. Highly disappointed that's a mimosa and not sangria. My fiancé said try a white maybe it'll be peach or raspberry and it indeed was not. It came out exactly the same as the first. For such a creative restaurant that was a huge let down. We ordered a few tapas and waited patiently. Actually 25 minutes for our first one. Which was to long for my liking. The server knew it too, she wouldn't come to our table or make eye contact. They have an open kitchen so you can see the kitchen staff has zero sense of urgency and it makes the waiters uncomfortable standing there because we can see them just standing there waiting. Bread plate came out at 25 min which was delicious but oddly three half slices. It should be 4 at least even as two people it's awkward to reach for the odd numbered last time. That curry butter they have is amazing though. 20 minutes later came the Fried oysters- Absolutely delicious and creative. Every component had a purpose and developed flavor. Ten minutes later came our Shrimp and Chorizo- Again so incredibly tasty and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. Ten minutes later came our last two items Short Rib Noodles- The root vegetables and grilled cabbage were cooked perfectly in the broth. The short ribs were quickly grilled leaving them really tough, braising them would have led for a much more edible dish. The was my favorite though. The flavor was so great. Manchego Mac and cheese- The first item I spotted and was so excited about. Feel completely flat. It taste like warm cream lacking in so much flavor and cheese alone. It needed salt and pepper. It was just bad. I took one bite and didn't even try it again. I also figured this would come out first because pasta is quick and sauce should be made already and it was last. When our waiter brought our last two items I quickly ordered dessert and asked for the check because I knew it would be another 30 minutes before she came back. Dessert was a very poorly put together semi Fred's. Which it was also not a semi freddo, that means semi frozen. This was a half scoop of unflavored ice milk with a shell on it and a handful of fruity pebbles thrown on a plate. A real let down and very cheap looking dish. It could have been put together so much better. Anyways I give it a 3 of 5. Ambience was good. 3 of 5 dishes were tasty. Service sucked and drinks sucked. I can see the effort but it wasn't consistent throughout everything. Also after looking at the pictures of the plates they are not very pretty for plate design.

Kathy K.

Yelp
The food quality has gone down, too bad because this used to be my favorite place to go on date night we had to wait awhile for our food to come out, it just seems like the staff wasn't organized and I miss a lot of the favorites from the previous menu.

LaLa G.

Yelp
Always perfect service and exquisite flavors and unique dishes. Chef Marc Quiñones always creates amazing flavor pairings and unique and unforgettable dishes. Great seating options in dining area, chef's table, the bar or the casbah area. This is a beautiful and special restaurant to consider for those memorable dinners or at any t

Lisa M.

Yelp
A bit pricey but good food and wine. One issue- hotel doors locked! We weren't staying at hotel and restaurant is in hotel, so w/o a hotel key we had to wait till Simone opened door .

Rachel S.

Yelp
Food was tasty. Servings are very large. More like family side dish than tapas. Service was prompt and friendly. Overall pretty decent. Worth a stop. Not amazing.

Lunar B.

Yelp
This place has gone seriously downhill. The service was painfully slow and inattentive. When our server first approached, we ordered drinks and one tapas plate. The tapas arrived well before our drinks and then we had to wait a good twenty minutes before she came back so we could order more food. It took 30 minutes for the first plate to arrive and then another fifteen before our final plate arrived even though we ordered them at the same time. The food was okay, although the scallops were over cooked. Also, they ask when you make the reservation if there's a special occasion, and I noted that it was our anniversary, and that clearly wasn't communicated to any staff. Not worth the price at all.

Rodric L.

Yelp
Let me preface this review by saying I've had tapas in something like 100 restaurants... including every major city in Spain... and this was, hands down, one of the best meals of my life. We opted for the casual bar seating as we are staying at Andaluz and didn't make a res. Rudy our server was FANTASTIC. The drinks came out quickly, and were as craft as craft gets. The portions were surprisingly large on some of the dishes, including the risotto and gambas, which made for a nice "here to sample yet fill me up" experience. Now this is the most important part... and never. Ever. Ever. Happens. We are going back tonight to hit the menu items we didn't get to... it's that good. Cheers!

Ali C.

Yelp
Was staying at Hotel Andaluz for a meeting and this place is jn the lobby, it had good reviews so we checked it out. Sat at a hightop kn the bar area, Patty was wonderful! Friendly and helpful service. Great dirty Belvedere Dirty Martini, also had a nice house cab. Wine is decently priced. We tried the mezze platter which was so tasty, especially the fried/sauteed feta cheese. The warm pita points with zatar seasoning was tasty too. Big enough for a few to enjoy. Fried oysters are smokey and interesting, you only get 4. My friend enjoyed sticky ribs with mashed potatoes, she said they had good flavor. She got the dates for dessert, I tasted the warm goat cheese with sherry reduction which was addicting. If you are a local or visiting town this is worth checking out. Enjoy!

Jessica R.

Yelp
The food was great, customer service was spot on, definitely recommend this place ! A little on the pricey end but worth it

Curtis B.

Yelp
We made reservations for our anniversary. The ambience was good, and we started with some really nice Sangria. We followed up with the scallop tapas, and the bacon wrapped dates. Both were really good- flavorful, thoughtful, and intriguing. We closed with the vegetable paella. Although it looked spectacular, it was so heavily doused with minced garlic that it crushed any other flavor that should have been featured (like the saffron). Don't get me wrong; I love garlic! But this was absolutely overwhelming. We mentioned it to our waitress who, just based on the smell, agreed that it was not what was normally served. She said she would speak to the chef and apologized for it coming out as badly as it did. This is where they lost us. No offer to re-plate, or to take the item off of our bill (we ate only a few bites). No complementary dessert or glass of wine (they were aware it was our anniversary), just the check and a meek apology from our waitress, who still got a 22% tip. I understand that the kitchen doesn't always get it right, and overall most the food was good. But, when it falls flat, that just means there's an opportunity to win over customers by making it right. And in this case, they didn't come close. Probably won't be coming back.

Yelp
Interesting restaurant. Not because it's interesting, but because of its style of service and food. My wife and I stayed at the hotel this was attached to on our trip across country and although we looked for options that were open in this area, timing more or less dictated our choice to eat here. Reviews were scattered but we needed a meal, so we decided to grab a bite. Service was decent, but not good. The prices were very high considering everything outside the fact that it was a Hilton Curio hotel, which seemed like the only way they could justify them. If I'm being completely honest, we wanted to grab food in the surrounding area but everything closes VERY early and we were left with almost no alternatives. We went to get sat and were told the bar would get us our food the fastest, but we watched two bartenders at a bar of maybe ten seats spend more time closing out checks than they should have before acknowledging us. One of the bartenders saw us, and rather than engage, asked the other bartender if we had already been taken care of. Whatever. We knew we were about half an hour away from the kitchen closing and we came ready to order quickly to accommodate that. Our drinks were delivered promptly despite the very robotic welcome from the male bartender that seemed like he was going through the motions. Drinks were fine (pisco sour and a negroni.) We ordered the wedge salad, the bread plate, the double fried wings and the salmon entree. The bread plate came with a hatch chili hummus that was, honestly, one of the better hummus that I've had. The tomato jam that it came with was also very good. The wings were decent and the portion was pretty fair considering the price. The wedge salad was insultingly small (a quarter of a head of iceberg, literally two halved cherry tomatoes, a strip of bacon at best but more than likely bagged bacon pieces, and the onions were a combination of caramelized and a single strip of raw red onion (see the picture.) The salmon entree had good flavor but was a very small portion of the protein although the setup was tasty. Tasty setup but it was missing one of the listed sides (asparagus) which we were not told they were out of until the dish was delivered and we inquired about it. Instead we were given extra arugula. How nice of them. The cheapest item on the plate. Service was less than what you would expect from a Hilton hotel of this caliber in just about every fashion. Food was decent at best, but that's being generous. There was not a single dish we ordered that had even the slightest flavor profile of "Spanish" food. This was half-decent hotel food at best, but at an exorbitant cost given the expectations. If I were staying here again, I would pull my car out of valet and drive literally anywhere else to find something that was enjoyable or worth the cost. 0/10 recommend for anyone looking for "Spanish" tapas. 2/10 recommend for anyone trying to enjoy a meal otherwise. The 3.5 stars they have is overly generous.

Yelp
Come here for a drink and enjoy the historic hotel interior. The tapas are expensive and standard.

Yelp
Food: 5 stars. Sandi, our server: 5 stars Ambiance: 1 star My friends made an 830 reservation and were very excited to eat at MAS. None of us realized that the kitchen closes at 9. Which begs the question as to why they have 830 AND 845 pm restaurant reservations. So we rushed with food and drink orders. Our server, Sandi, was WONDERFUL. The food (I'm a vegetarian so I'll speak for those dishes we shared) was stellar. My favorites were the iron roasted mushrooms and the peanut butter torte. But it is absurd to have a meal where they dim the lights and another person is sweeping up around you. I honestly started giggling, it was so ridiculous. Sandi was honestly apologetic, so kind and treated us like actual customers. If I go again, it will definitely not be with a reservation at 8 pm or later!
