Excellent food experience in quiet little Geeveston. I've been 3 times and it is always worth the visit, with new items on the menu each time. Lovely staff and always nice to see chef Masaaki smiling as he works. Probably the best sushi I've ever eaten (and I've had a lot). Such a treat!

You might be surprised to find authentic and delicious sushi in a small Tasmanian town, but that’s exactly what you’ll get in Geeveston. If you’re driving through, don’t miss the chance to stop by and grab some takeaway sushi—fresh, flavourful, and made with care. A hidden gem worth the detour!

Really good quality sushi and great portion sizes. Would recommend ordering in advance so you don’t miss out

Drove an hour and then queued for another hour to finally try the best sushi on the island (as per the google reviews). I was a bit let down, ordered everything on the menu that had seafood in it to try - it was a very average experience - most of the food was pre-prepared, rice was cold and there is no seating. Seafood freshness can be compared to an average sushi-hub chain on the mainland.

Sushi was delicious, definitely the best Sushi in Tasmania. Highly Recommend the Sushi rolls, Sashimi cups and Sea Urchin. Rice were slightly undercooked and crunchy. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff but service was messy and slow. Queue starts at 11.45 am, be there early to get ahead. It is take away only but there is a nice park behind to enjoy your sushi.

Hands down the best sushi I've had outside of Japan and South Korea, best in Tasmania by far! Beautifully presented dishes, the freshest seafood prepared daily by Masaki in house, amazing care and attention to detail in every aspect. It's clear he puts so much love and pride into making sushi. If you've never tried this place, do yourself a favour and make the trip, just make sure to get in early as daily offerings sell out fast!

Delicious and authentic, a must try when travelling the channel. Preorder a lunch pack to skip the queue. Selections vary through the year and Masaaki does an excellent job at highlighting local seasonal produce.

Do yourself a favour to drive here in the weekend, excellent sushi, generous size and condiments.
