Masada National Park is one of those places that truly impresses you, both for its history and its setting. The landscape is dramatic and beautiful, surrounded by desert and overlooking the Dead Sea—it already feels powerful before you even get to the top.
I visited Masada as part of a guided tour that also included the Dead Sea, which made the whole experience very enriching and extremely convenient. The tour included transportation, entrance fees, meals, and a guide, so everything was well organized and easy. Having a guide really added value, especially when learning the story behind Masada—it makes the visit much more meaningful.
You can reach the top by cable car or hike if you’re feeling adventurous. Once up there, the views are incredible and the ruins are very well preserved. Walking through the fortress and hearing its history is intense and fascinating.
Overall, combining Masada with the Dead Sea in one tour is a great option. It’s practical, informative, and lets you experience two iconic places in one day. Highly recommended and absolutely unforgettable.
