Masaya Bogotá

I had a great stay at Masaya Bogotá. The hostel is exceptionally clean, the internet is reliable and perfect for digital nomads, and the bunk beds are comfortable and offer good privacy, which made a big difference during my stay. The restaurant is also really good, great food and a nice place to relax after a day out. What really stood out, though, were the people working here. Everyone is kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. They’re also very responsive on WhatsApp, which made communication easy and stress-free. All of this comes at a very affordable backpacker price, right in the heart of the old town, which is absolutely beautiful and full of character. A special shoutout to Paula! I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bogotá.

An unforgettable home away from home in Bogotá Staying at Masaya Hostel Bogotá for two months has been an incredible experience and truly felt like a second home. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. The hostel itself is beautifully designed, clean, and full of character. The common areas make it very easy to connect with people from all over the world, whether you’re there to socialize, work remotely, or simply relax. The atmosphere is vibrant but still respectful and comfortable. A very special thank you goes to the amazing staff, especially Paula, Natalia, Luisa, and Hugo. Their kindness, positive energy, and constant willingness to help made my stay truly unforgettable. They don’t just work there,they create a sense of family and make every guest feel seen, safe, and at home. The location is perfect,right in the heart of La Candelaria,close to historical sites, restaurants, nightlife, and public transportation. Despite being in a lively area, the hostel manages to maintain a great balance between energy and rest. After two months at Masaya, I can confidently say this is one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. Whether you’re in Bogotá for a few days or a long stay, Masaya is the perfect place to experience the city, meet amazing people, and feel at home. I already want to come back to Masaya Bogotá. Luisa F at the front desk was so welcoming and helpful. She provided great recommendations for us. It’s a beautiful space and we enjoyed breakfast in the common areas. We loved the neighborhood of La Candelaria also.

A hundred percent recommend this hostel. It's clean, staff are helpful and friedly and it's a great place to meet people through the free events. The free salsa class was so fun. We also played beer pong on Halloween and it was a great chance to meet other travellers. The dorms are so comfortable and you have space to lock valuables and to have a dark screen over your bed so you can rest and it feels very private. Showers have hot water and are lovely. The breakfast is so good too

I had a wonderful stay at this hostel. The room was very comfortable, clean, and well equipped with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The breakfast was delicious and offered a great variety. A special mention to Luisa and Paula, who were both incredibly kind, friendly, and always ready to help. Luisa was especially helpful in recommending great restaurants and places to visit in the area. Her suggestions really made my trip even better.

Would definitely recommend this hostel for those staying in Bogota! The location is great, with lots of bars and places to eat nearby, good atmosphere and feels safe! Lots of museums nearby and close to tourist spots. The rooms were clean and spacious, with blinds in each bunk for privacy. Plenty of storage space too. The walls were a bit thin and the room was a little bright so would recommend some earplugs and an eye mask. Kitchen facilities were basic but adequate. Apart from this, no complaints! The staff were also really friendly and we’re always available to ask for advice.

Amazing place, really nice dorms, got a 6-bed-dorm and I’m super happy with the space that I have. Large and comfortable beds and enough storage room! Of course, I cannot forget to mention the great service and support from our two best receptionists Paula and Luisa. Awesome stay. Anytime again.

Absolutely beautiful hostel. Such good energy from the staff (Luisa was so accommodating and friendly). Nicolas and Martica made us incredible breakfasts and our private room was so lux. 10/10 recommend !
