La Passion by Masaya (Cartagena, Colombia) 7 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Passion doesn’t have to declare itself loudly. La Passion, an eight-room boutique hotel in a Spanish Colonial manor house in Cartagena, Colombia, is quiet, intimate, and about as elegant as it gets — and the adults-only policy certainly doesn’t hurt. At this size, it would hardly qualify as a hotel at all, were it not for a couple of remarkable big-hotel luxuries, most notably the rooftop swimming pool and the terrace cocktail bar." - Tablet Hotels

Fabulous hotel in a fabulous location. Very chic, rooms very individual and grand. Great value for money. Small number of rooms (only 13 I think) so quiet, but plenty of space to spread out. Lovely outdoor but sheltered rooftop area to watch the sunset. Nice pool. Highly recommend.

What a lovely hotel in beautiful Cartagena. The rooms are charming, the pool area very nice and the breakfast was amazing. Bonus points it's on a quiet street, but close to most busier areas in the old center. We came here twice during our holidays and would easily recommend it to all our friends.

Terrible. No elevators. Treacherous staircases, no “lobby” ceiling fans or anything else, like a place to purchase a water or any other item. |Our shower was outside under the breakfast area above us. I could hear my brother’s family conversation above me when using the shower or commode. Oh, you best be thin in order to fit in the tiny commode room. Super hot until you get back into the room. This was a “ Junior Suite!!”||The photos of this place are misleading. They show the shower area with cascading greenery. There was one vine and a nasty black wall. In order not to slip on the shower floor I threw down face towels. ||Santa Teresa, where other family members stayed, is gorgeous! Worth the extra $73 US for their least expensive room.

Amazing experience at this hotel very nice old building in the center of the old city. Rooms are confortable and the swimming pool o n the roof has great size. We enjoy the terrace with some fresh air good moment to take a break and to read a book. Nice breakfast and very good service

The misrepresentation for this hotel was beyond anything I've ever seen before. This hotel is rundown. It is dirty. It is grimy. It is gross. We could not get out of there fast enough. We left the day after we arrived and booked the rest of our stay elsewhere. I'm only giving it two stars out of respect for the lovely breakfast ladies on the third floor. We will never return.

It is a great house, the location in the city is perfect with a nice neighbourhood.|We loved the very friendly staff, especially the breakfast team.|The pool on the roof is spectecular! We spent hours sitting in the roof garden.|Our room next to the pool was a bit unusual furnished but clean, large and comfortable including a kitchen. The stairway to heaven, however, is a bit steep and difficult, especially with luggage.

Excellent Hotel. Well situated in the old tow. Staff was very helpful. Swimming pool on the roof top. Colonial building but modern rooms. I will come again.

Yetiva|Booked trip months in advance and was presented with a typical boilerplate form to sign at check-in. Then received the exact opposite of hospitality.
